THERE WAS RECENTLY A PODS RECALL FOR THE WIRING HARNESS GOING TO THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR THE RECALL DID NOT FIX THE ISSUES FOR MANY PEOPLE. CAR WILL RANDOMLY THINK SOMEONE IS SETTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND ACTIVATE AIRBAG AND CAUSE THE SEATBELT LIGHT TO CHIME CONSTANTLY WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE AIR BAG TO TURN ON AND OFF. THE SENSOR IMBEDDED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT IS FAULTY.
VENT MOTORS FOR DEFROST FLAPS STOP WORKING CAUSING SCREEN TO FOG WITH VERY THICK MIST. CAN HAPPEN RANDOMLY EVEN WHILE BLOWER IS ON THE SCREEN POSITION AT FULL BLAST
THE WATER PUMP/THERMOSTAT HOUSING IS LEAKING COOLANT OUT OF THE ENGINE. THIS OCCURS ON NEARLY ALL MQB CHASSIS VW/AUDI'S WITH THE EA888 GEN 3 2.0 TFSI ENGINE. IT IS A WIDELY KNOWN ISSUE.

The contact stated that the airbag warning light was illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle had previously been serviced four years ago for the recurring failure, and the dealer had replaced the passenger occupant detection system (PODS) sensor mat. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact stated that the passenger’s side air bag warning light would illuminate whether or not there was a passenger seated in the seat. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000. I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK ON THE SUNROOF GUIDE RAIL BEZEL IN THE FRONT CORNER OF SUN ROOF ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ON THE BLACK TRIM PART ABOUT A WEEK AGO. TODAY I NOTICED THE CRACK TO BE ABOUT 2" LONG AND THE BLACK TRIM SEPARATED ALLOWING WATER TO GO UNDERNEATH THE ROOF OF THE CAR. I ALSO NOTICED TODAY THE PASSENGER SIDE STARTING TO CRACK AS WELL. NEVER SAW THIS BEFORE ON THE CAR UNTIL ABOUT A WEEK AGO. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THE CAR HAS 18,000 MILES ON IT AND IS GARAGE KEPT, NEVER DRIVEN IN TEMPERATURES UNDER 30 DEGREES F.

MY A3 EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SYMPTOMS AND ISSUES THE RECALL COVERED. I TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR HOWEVER IMMEDIATELY AFTER PICKING UP THE CAR THE ISSUE STILL PERSISTS. DEALER SAYS IT IS ACTUALLY AN ISSUE WITH THE PODS SENSOR ITSELF BUT THAT THEY WILL NOT REPAIR THIS UNDER WARRANTY. I CALLED AUDI USA WHO CLAIMS THE SAME. IT APPEARS THEIR FIX IS NOT ROBUST ENOUGH TO FIX THE ACTUAL PROBLEM BUT THEY WILL NOT CORRECT IT FURTHER. AS IT STANDS NOW MY CAR STILL WILL NOT ALLOW THE AIRBAG TO WORK PROPERLY WHILE A PASSENGER IS THERE OR NOT. AIRBAG WARNING GOES OFF CONSTANTLY AND "AIR BAG OFF" LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED NEARLY ALL THE TIME BUT WILL INTERMITTENTLY GO ON AND OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. HOW EVER, AFTER GOING BACK INTO THE AUDI DEALERSHIP, THE REPRESENTATIVE INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE PRESSURE SENSOR UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. PART NUMBER : 8V0898522S AND N0152612 WOULD NEED TO BE PURCHASED TO FIX THE AIR BAG LIGHT ISSUE. THE PRICE OF THE PART BEING $1000 THAT IS NOT INCLUDING LABOR. IN THE STATEMENT ON THE RECALL IT SAYS THAT THIS ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED. THE REPRESENTATIVE AT AUDI USA INSISTED THAT I SHOULD GO TO AN AUTHORIZED AUDI DEALERSHIP TO GET THE WORK DONE SO THIS WHEN IT IS COMPLETED, I AM TO SEND HER A COPY OF THE INVOICE AND WORK ORDER TO BE REVIEWED BY HER SUPERVISOR FOR POSSIBLE REIMBURSEMENT. SHE ALSO STATED THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. I HOWEVER REFUSE TO SPEND $1000+ TO FIX THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THIS RECALL. THIS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL, NOT JUST REROUTING THE WIRES AND REPLACING THE CONNECTOR TO THE SENSOR BUT ACTUALLY REPLACING THE SENSOR IT SELF AND NOT TRYING TO PUT A BAND-AID ON THE ISSUE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THANK YOU

MY CAR KEEPS HAVING A SAFETY SYSTEM FAULT. THERE ARE TWO ERRORS: 1. THE "PAASENGER AIRBAG OFF" INDICATOR STAYS ON EVEN WHEN A PASSENGER IS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT 2. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
CAR ENGINE STOPPED WORKING WHILE IN MOVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 10 MILES PER HOUR. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITHOUT WARNING AS THE CAR STOPPED FUNCTIONING. PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS DISENGAGED AND INDICATED IT WOULD NOT DEPLOY EVEN THOUGH A PASSENGER WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. SEVERE INJURY COULD HAVE OCCURRED IF THE CAR HAD BEEN REAR ENDED WHEN THE CAR STOPPED WORKING. CAR HAD BEEN IN FOR MAINTENANCE AT ALL PREDESIGNATED MANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTED MILEAGE POINTS WITHOUT INDICATION OF ANY ISSUES. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF HER HUSBAND WHO OWNS A 2015 AUDI A3. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN MARCH OF 2019. WHILE THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE, HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ATTEMPTED TO REVERSE THE VEHICLE CLOSER TO THE CURB. WHEN THE DRIVER SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND RELEASED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. IT TOOK THE DRIVER EXCESSIVE STRENGTH TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN AND CAME TO A STOP WHEN IT CRASHED INTO THE NEIGHBOR'S PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS IN SHOCK. THE DAY BEFORE THE CRASH, THE RADIO STATIONS INDEPENDENTLY MIXED UP ON THEIR OWN AND THERE WAS A LOT OF STATIC. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS CALLED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER THE FOLLOWING DAY. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED WITH THE MANUFACTURER TO HAVE SOMEONE INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED AND WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.

"PODS RECALL" WE TOOK OUR CAR IN FOR INSPECTION AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO THE AIR BAG NEEDS TO BE BEEFED UP BECAUSE WITHOUT THE RIGHT WIRING CONNECTION IT WILL CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEM IF ACCIDENT OCCURS. THIS HASN'T HIT THE RECALL LIST YET BUT IT'S COMING. IF THE MANUFACTURER KNOWS THAT IT'S GOING TO BE AN ISSUE WHY CANT THEY JUST GO AHEAD AND FIX THE RECALL BEFORE HAND. THEY ARE WANTING US TO PAY $1100 DOLLARS TO FIX AN ISSUE THAT IS SOON TO BE AN UP AND COMING RECALL, BASED ON WHAT I HAVE BEEN READING FROM THE MANUFACTURER ITSELF. WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR THIS RECALL TO GO INTO THE WORKS, MANY DEATHS OR EVEN A LAWSUIT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO FIX PROBLEM BEFORE HAND. I KNOW MANY OF THESE MONEY COMPANIES ARE TRYING TO SAVE A DOLLAR BUT IS IT WORTH THE COST OF A LOVED ONE JUST TO SAVE A BUCK. WE ARE ALL TRYING TO SAVE A BUCK I GET IT, BUT THIS IS THE COMPANIES REPUTATION ON THE LINE. YOU MAKE A PRODUCT YOU SHOULD WANT PEOPLE TO FEEL AND BE SAFE. IF CONSUMERS KNOW YOU PUT OUT A GOOD PRODUCT AND YOUR CONTINUOUSLY ARE TRYING TO IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCT PEOPLE WILL STAND BY YOU. IT SHOULDNT GET TO THE POINT OF PEOPLE LOSING A LIFE OR GETTING SERIOUSLY INJURED TO FIX A ISSUE YOU COULD AVOID.
The plastic roof trim panel on my 2015 Audi A3 is peeling and deteriorating significantly. This is not painted metal—it’s a separate, non-paintable plastic component that runs along the sunroof and roofline. The surface began flaking and lifting over time, and multiple independent body shops confirmed the panel is failing structurally and cannot be refinished—it must be replaced. While this may appear cosmetic, it’s not. The panel helps protect the roof seam and substructure. Its failure opens the door to water intrusion, corrosion, and potential roof integrity compromise—a serious safety concern, particularly in the event of a rollover or high-impact collision. Other owners of vehicles built on the same MQB/8V platform—including the VW Golf and SEAT Leon (not sold in the U.S., but structurally similar)—have reported identical issues, often followed by cracking or detachment of the panel. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, Audi of America has been largely uncooperative. Their warranty process requires a diagnosis from a dealership, but most Audi dealers do not perform bodywork and refer customers to third-party shops—whose assessments Audi then refuses to accept. I’ve been left in a loop with no meaningful support, despite the issue being widespread and well-documented. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF AND IT'S BEEN MORE THAN 2 MONTHS THAT REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. IT'S A BIG SAFETY ISSUE
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION CAR HAS 2,300 MILES LEFT TO THE 10K OIL SERVICE CHECK CHANGE AND SHOWING LOW OIL. THIS IS NOT NORMAL AUDI IS TRYING TO SAY TO JUST TOP OFF THE OIL, YET EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WILL CAUSE THE CAR TO NEED ENGINE REPLACEMENT EARLIER THAN IT SHOULD AT ABOUT 70-80-100K MILES AT BEST. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS AND A CLASS ACTION THAT INVOLVED THIS ISSUE BUT THEY REFUSE TO DO MORE THAN CHANGE OIL AND CHECK FOR LEAKS WHEN THEY KNOW IT IS DUE TO DEFECTIVE PARTS AND I AM UNDER A CERTIFIED WARRANTY UNTIL OCTOBER 2019
WATER PUMP / THERMOSTAT HOUSING FAILURE CAUSING COOLAT TO LEAK. ALL OF MY COOLANT WAS DRAINED BEFORE LOW COOLANT LIGHT CAME ON.
AUDI RECALLED THE PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM (PODS) BUT HAS NOT RELEASED A REMEDY YET. MY CAR'S SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE LEADING TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG BEING PERMANENTLY TURNED OFF MAKING IT VERY UNSAFE FOR PASSENGERS. THE LOCAL DEALER REFUSED TO FIX IT WITHOUT A REMEDY BEING AVAILABLE. AUDI NEEDS TO GET THIS PODS RECALL COMPLETE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON AT ALL TIMES. IF THEIR IS NO PASSENGER THE SEAT BELT WARNING SIGNAL GOES OFF. THE SEAT BELT MUST BE ENGAGED EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO PASSENGER PRESENT IN ORDER TO GET THE SIGNAL TO STOP DINGING.

The contact stated that both warning lights illuminated periodically when turning on the vehicle or while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a local dealer for an unknown recall repair however, the contact was not aware of the failure diagnosis or what was repaired. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact then stated that the passenger occupant detection system and the passenger air bag off warning signs illuminated frequently while starting the vehicle or while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer and they informed the contact that the diagnosis was that the PODS sensor mat needed replacement and PODS control module required an update. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure continued to reoccur. The contact stated the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

There is a recall on our daughters Audi A3 that we have been trying to have fixed for over 2 years. We call, we follow up and are consistently told there is no fix for the problem. The letters we continue to receive say it is about 4 hours of work on the PODS system. I am tired of our college daughter paying for a known unsafe vehicle and am reaching out as we have exhausted all possibilities with Audi USA.

AUDI HAS ISSUED RECALLS FOR OTHER VEHICLE MODELS IN THIS YEAR FOR THIS EXACT DEFECT, AND THE RESOLUTION IN THOSE INSTANCES IS TO INSTALL AN UPDATED PART WITH A PROTECTIVE COVER THAT WILL PREVENT PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE NEW SENSOR. AUDI HAS NOT EXPANDED THE RECALL TO INCLUDE THE AUDI A3 AS OF THE DATE OF THIS WRITING. THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE IS A 2015 AUDI A3 PREMIUM PLUS FWD SEDAN WITH SPORT SEATS AND 1.8L GASOLINE ENGINE. AUDI DOES NOT APPEAR TO OFFER A REPLACEMENT PART AT THIS TIME, POSSIBLY AN INDICATION THAT THE PART HAS BEEN DESIGNATED OBSOLETE IF THE VW AUDI GROUP IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING THE ISSUE AND UPDATING THE PART. "UNDER INFLATED LEFT FRONT TIRE" MESSAGE CAME ON. TOOK IT TO AUDI SERVICE CENTER IN GAINESVILLE, FL. AFTER CHECKING THE TIRES, THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT STARTED BUT KEPT STALLING. THEY ORDERED A N290 VALVE AND REPLACED IT, STILL HAVE SAME PROBLEM AND NO WARNING MESSAGES. THEY CONTACTED AUDI HEADQUARTERS YESTERDAY, BUT HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM.
HIGH PITCH NOISE YOU CAN HEAR FROM THE FUEL PUMP. CAR STALLED ON ME. MY VIN IS NOT APART OF THE CURRENT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V229000. WOULD LIKE TO GET MY FUEL PUMP REPLACED BEFORE IT STALLS OR WON'T START AGAIN ON ME.
CLICKING OR CLUNKING NOISES FROM THE FRONT END SUSPENSION. ASKED MY DEALER ABOUT IT AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE IT. THE MOMENT I GOT BACK INTO IT REOCCURRED WHEN I WENT OVER A BUMP. I'VE NOTICED MAY COMPLAINS/AUDI TSBS POSTED ABOUT THE REAR END AND THE FRONT END. LUBRICATION REQUIRED OR REMOUNTING/REPLACING THE SHOCK MOUNTS.
TRANMISSION ISSUES. 51,000 MILES AND TRANSMISSION IS STUCK IN 1ST GEAR. DRIVING NORMALLY ONE MINUTE AND IT DOWN SHIFTS AUTOMATICALLY TO 2ND GEAR. WAS DRIVING NORMAL ON A LOCAL HIGHWAY AND WAS CRUISING UNTIL IT SUDDENLY STARTED DOWNSHIFTING AND TRANSMISSION LIGHT COMES ON. ALL SERVICES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED PER AUDI.
WHILE THE RADIATOR WAS BEING REPLACED DUE TO CRACKS AND LEAKING AT 57,000 MILES, MY MECHANIC NOTICED THE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY WAS MELTING. THE TOP OF THE ASSEMBLY WAS MELTING AWAY AND COULD CAUSE A FIRE HAZARD. I CONTACTED THE DEALER (MISSION VIEJO AUDI) WHO STATED THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE AND SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ISSUE. I SHOWED THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN THE PHOTOS, AND HE INDICATED THEY COULD LOOK AT IT BUT IT WOULD COST ME A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF $160. IT IS EVIDENT THE WATER PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED SO NOT SURE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DIAGNOSED. SINCE THERE WERE NO REPORTED ISSUES, HE SAID I WOULD ULTIMATELY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT. I LATER TALKED TO AUDI CORPORATE AND WAS BASICALLY TOLD THE SAME THING AND I WOULD HAVE TO GET IT FIXED. THEY DID INDICATE THERE MAY BE SOME 'MINIMAL GOOD WILL' FEE ADJUSTMENT BASED ON THE DIAGNOSIS FROM THE DEALER. THEY TOLD ME THERE HAVE BEEN NO REPORTED PROBLEMS OF THIS NATURE. A CLAIM WAS FILED WITH THEM. SINCE THE DIAGNOSIS FEE AND COST OF REPLACEMENT FROM THE DEALER IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN MY MECHANIC CHARGES, I MAY HAVE TO HAVE HIM DO THE WORK AS THIS APPEARS TO BE A SAFETY HAZARD TO ME. THE DEALER WAS NOT INTERESTED IN ADDRESSING ANY POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEMS. I AM CONTACTING YOU TO SEE IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS NATURE RECEIVED AND TO DOCUMENT WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING IN CASE OTHER SIMILAR ISSUES ARISE IN THE FUTURE. PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR NOT PROPERLY FUNCTIONING CAUSING THE AIR BAG TO NOT TURN ON WHEN PASSENGER IS IN SEAT
PASSENGER SEAT DETECTION MAP IS FAULTING OUT AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS. APPARENTLY IT IS MY FAULT AND I HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT.
CONTINENTAL TIRES THAT CAME INSTALLED ON MY 2015 AUDI A3 AND APPEAR TO EITHER HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE OR POORLY INSTALLED. I STARTED EXPERIENCING LEAKS IN THE REAR RIGHT TIRE OF THE CAR, AND TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC'S REPORT (ATTACHED, ALONG WITH PICTURES OF THE TIRE) STATES: "DAMAGE TO BEAD OF TIRE WHERE IT SEATS (SIC) ... THESE CONDITIONS ARE CAUSED BY IMPROPER USE OF TOOLS, INCORRECT TECHNIQUES USED WHEN MOUNTING/DEMOUNTING TIRES AND/OR LACK OF BEAD LUBRICATION". I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY TWO YOUNG CHILDREN IN THIS CAR WITH THIS DEFECTIVE TIRE FOR ABOUT 16,000 MILES AND 3 YEARS, AND DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED HAD THE TIRE HAD FAILED AT 65MPH. LOST COMPRESSION AT ONLY 43,670 MILES TO FOURTH CYLINDER. ENGINE WAS REBUILT BY AUDI DEALER. FOUND PIECES OF OIL CONTROL RING FROM A PISTON IN OIL PAN, AIR LEAKING THROUGH INTAKE, SEATING SURFACE FOR INTAKE VALVE NUMBER 2 ON CYLINDER 4 WAS BURNT AND UNABLE TO SEAT PROPERLY DUE TO SPRING ON THAT VALVE BEING WEAKER THAN OTHERS.
NO RECALLS CONNECTED TO VIN, DESPITE RECALLS SHOWING ACCORDING TO NHTSA.ORG WEBSITE FOR "2015 AUDI A3" AND VISIBLE COMPLAINTS FOR ISSUE. ISSUE IS LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILURE AND FUEL TANK. PER DEALER SERVICE DOCUMENTATION/ RECEIPT "FAULTY LOW PRESSURE FUEL" PUMP. CAR AT 29000 MILES WOULD HAVE A NO START OR START AND IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF, AT TIMES RUN BUT ENGINE POWER CUTTING OUT WHILE RUNNING NORMALLY BELOW 50 MPH, SPUTTERING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. DEALER FIRST REPLACED HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP, WHICH DID NOT RESOLVE ISSUE. THE REPLACEMENT OF LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMP DID FIX THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-411-9988 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL, AND ASKED THE CONTACT TO SPEAK TO THE GENERAL MANAGER. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,123.
EVERY TIME I APPLY THE BRAKE OR PUT THE CAR IN PARK, MY VEHICLE ROLLS BACK EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT REMAINS ON THE BREAK. CONVERTIBLE TOP LEAKS

THE CRACKED RIM CAUSED AIR TO LEAK FROM THE TIRE, SO I GOT I BECAME AWARE OF IT AFTER TAKING IT INTO A TIRE SHOP TO INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE. 8 MONTHS LATER I TAKE THE CAR BACK IN DUE TO A VIBRATION BETWEEN 35-40MPH AND I WAS SHOWN THAT THE RIM WAS BENT. I DON'T REMEMBER EVER HITTING ANYTHING HARD ENOUGH TO THINK THAT I COULD HAVE CRACKED OR BENT A RIM. I QUESTION THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THEIR 19" RIMS.
CHECK ENGINE/ EPC- BOTH LIGHTS HAVE SIGNALED A DOZEN TIMES. THE FIRST FEW TIMES THE DEALERSHIP CALLED THEM "MISFIRES". EVENTUALLY THE CAR "SYMPTOMS" STARTED TO PROGRESS: WHEN CAR IS IDLING, CAR STARTS TO ACT LIKE IT IS ABOUT TO STALL. THEN IT PROGRESSED TO HARD/JERKY SHIFTS INTO 1ST OR 2ND GEAR. NOW EVEN AT HIGHER SPEEDS IT STARTS ACTING UP- GIVING THE FEELING THAT THE CAR MAY STALL. THIS IS A DAILY ISSUE. TWICE NOW CAR HAS FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHILE ENTERING HIGHWAY. THE WORST SITUATION OCCURRED WHEN CAR WAS BUCKING AND REFUSING TO GO INTO 2ND GEAR. I HAD TO PULL OVER, ON THE ON-RAMP, TURN OFF CAR AND RESTART. DASH LIGHTS FADE LIGHT/DARK CONSTANTLY. ORIGINALLY I THOUGHT IT WAS AN AUTOMATIC FEATURE, GOING FROM DAY TO NIGHT TIME LIGHTS. LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IT HAS INCREASED W/ FREQUENCY & CANNOT BE CONNECTED TO CHANGE DAY/NIGHT LIGHT SETTING CHANGE. KEY FOB DIED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, CAR STALLED ON HIGHWAY. I RESTARTED CAR USING EMERGENCY PROCEDURE (ALIGNING KEY FOB NEXT TO KEY SYMBOL ON DRIVE SHAFT)- THIS IS MEANT TO KEEP CAR RUNNING EVEN W/ DEAD KEY BATTERY. CAR SHUT OFF MULTIPLE TIMES WAITING FOR TOW TRUCK- WHO THEN LOADED MY CAR WHILE RUNNING BECAUSE IT STALLED ON HIM TOO. DID I MENTION THE 4 DAYS PRIOR MY CAR HAD BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP - SO EITHER WARNING SIGN DIDN'T CORRECTLY NOTIFY OR THEY JUST IGNORED IT. FIXED IGNITION COIL, SPARK PLUGS CURRENT DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSTIC: FAULT TO BAD INJECTOR SOMEHOW NONE OF THE RECALLS THAT APPLY TO 2015 A3S APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. EVEN THOUGH MOST OF THE DECRIPTIONS APPLY TO CAR ISSUES.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON A STRAIGHTAWAY, I TURNED ON THE HEATER IN MY CAR AND WITHIN MINUTES I WAS FEELING EXTREMELY NAUSEOUS AND FELT LIKE I WAS LOSING CONTROL AND FOCUS. I OPENED THE WINDOWS AND TURNED OFF THE HEATER SINCE I REALIZED THE CAR WAS FINE BEFORE I TURNED THE HEATER ON. I ALSO REALIZED IT WAS PROBABLY CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING THAT WAS CAUSING OUR SYMPTOMS. ALTHOUGH MY CHILDREN AND I ARE OKAY AS A RESULT OF MY QUICK ACTIONS, I COULD HAVE PASSED OUT AND CRASHED VERY BADLY, HURTING MY FAMILY AND OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 28,000.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY TRAVELING AT 65 MPH. ENGINE CEASED WITHOUT WARNING. ABSOLUTELY NO POWER OR ENGINE NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING. VEHICLE WENT FROM 65 TO 0 MPH IN SECONDS. NO STEERING CONTROL AS WELL!! COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. HEAD OF SERVICE AT AUDI DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME & AUDI IS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
