MY WARNING LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO TELLING ME THAT MY DYNAMIC HEADLIGHT RANGE CONTROL IS NO LONGER WORKING PROPERLY.
TAKATA RECALL CAR UNDER RECALL SINCE MAY 27, 2016; CONSISTENTLY UNABLE TO HAVE AIRBAG REPLACED. TIRED OF DRIVING UNSAFE CAR
PROBLEM BEGINS WITH PRNDS LIGHT FLASHING, INTERMITTENTLY. THEN THE VERY FRIGHTENING AND DANGEROUS OCCURRED. WHILE DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY THE TRANSMISSION CHANGES FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL BY ITSELF THUS LOSING CONTROL OF THE SPEED AND MOTION OF THE VEHICLE. THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM PRODUCED A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE SAME AUDI VEHICLE'S 2002 - 2006 MODELS. UPON CALLING VOLKSWAGEN AUDI, UP TO THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF, I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS TESTED BY MY AUDI DEALER THAT THE "CODE" WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS RECALL. CODE? THE SYMPTOMS ARE THE SAME AS THE RECALL AND THEY TELL ME THE CODE IS DIFFERENT. THE CODE COULD BE CHANGED LIKE A "PASSWORD" COULD BE CHANGED. THE SYMPTOM APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AS SEVERAL AUTO SHOPS TOLD ME THIS AND THE AUDI DEALER ITSELF SAID THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. MY AUDI ONLY HAS 72500 MILES ON IT AND THIS ELECTRONIC MODULE, TCM AND RELAY WHICH ARE INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION HOUSING ARE THE BLAME TO THIS PROBLEM. MY FEELING IS THAT THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, SHOULD IT OCCUR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE TRANSMISSION GOES INTO NEUTRAL BY ITSELF THIS COULD BE POSSIBLY DEADLY TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE OR OTHER VEHICLES AROUND IT. HOW COULD AUDI BE SO BLATANTLY ABLE TO IGNORE THIS? I HAD MY AUDI REPAIRED AT THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY USED AN "UPDATED" TCM MODULE. THIS UPDATING ONLY SHOWS THAT THEY ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND DO NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THE VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM AS THEY DID FOR THE 2002 - 2006 MODELS!!! ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BEFORE THEY STEP UP AND DO WHAT IS NECESSARY TO PREVENT SUCH AN OCCURRENCE? PLEASE HELP PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO OTHER AUDI A4 OWNERS OR THE DRIVERS WHO MAY HAPPEN TO BE NEAR THEM ON THE ROAD. THANK YOU.
TAKATA RECALL. RECALL ISSUED IN MAY OF 2016, BUT IN ALMOST A YEAR THERE IS STILL NO FIX AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL-MY 2008 AUDI A4 HAS BEEN UNDER RECALL FOR MUCH GREATER THAN ONE YEAR. I AM AT THE AUDI DEALER TODAY FOR ROUTINE SERVICE AND AGAIN I HAVE BEEN PRESENTED WITH A REMINDER THAT MY CAR IS UNDER RECALL AND THAT FOR SAFETY CONCERNS NO ONE SHOULD RIDE IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT! I HAVE BEEN PATIENT LISTENING TO THE CORPORATE-SPEAK ABOUT HOW THIS IS A NOT AN AUDI PROBLEM, BUT A TAKATA PROBLEM. AT THIS TIME, I BELIEVE THAT VOLKSWAGEN AG, THE OWNER OF AUDI SHOULD OWN THIS PROBLEM AND NOT CONTINUE TO PASS IT OFF TO A FINANCIALLY UNACCOUNTABLE INTERNATIONAL PARTS MANUFACTURER. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR DEALER TRADE-IN BECAUSE OF THIS UNFULFILLED RECALL. AT THIS TIME MY FINANCIAL LOSS IS NOT INSIGNIFICANT, HOWEVER THE SUSTAINED EXPOSURE TO LIFE THREATENING INJURY CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED BY AUDI OR VOLKSWAGEN. PATIENCE AND REASONABLE UNDERSTANDING CAN BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE BY CORPORATE GREED. I NOW REFUSE TO ACCEPT CONTINUED DELAY FROM THE MOST PROFITABLE DIVISION OF VOLKSWAGEN AG.
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED MY PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG RECALL (DIR2) NOTICE DATED MARCH 2017 AND IT ADVISES THAT BECAUSE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, THAT AUDI RECOMMENDS AVOIDING USE OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WHENEVER POSSIBLE UNTIL THE RECALL REPAIR HAS BEEN PERFORMED. THIS VEHICLE IS MY FAMILY'S PRIMARY VEHICLE AND IS USED BY THE DRIVER AND ONE OR MORE PASSENGERS NEARLY EVERY DAY. WE HAVE A SECOND VEHICLE, A 2007 FORD RANGER WHICH ALSO HAS A TAKATA PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG RECALL WITH NO DATE FOR REPAIR. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH MY LOCAL AUDI DEALER WHO HAS STATED THAT NO REPLACEMENT PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS OR MORE. WE HAVE WAITED FOR THE FORD RANGER AIRBAG REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS ALREADY. WE DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO SCRAP EITHER OF OUR DEFECTIVE VEHICLES AND START OVER WITH ANOTHER CAR, NOR CAN WE AFFORD TO RENT A VEHICLE TO REPLACE EITHER OR BOTH OF THE VEHICLES THAT ARE DEEMED TO BE UNSAFE FOR OUR FAMILY. THIS LACK OF A SOLUTION ON THE PART OF THE CAR MANUFACTURERS AND BY THE GOVERNMENT OVERSEEING THIS ISSUE IS DEPLORABLE.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN MARCH OF 2017 OF A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE TAKATA PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG. TEN MONTHS LATER, REPAIR IS NOT AVAILABLE NOR HAVE I BEEN NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. THIS HAS CAUSED UNDUE HARDSHIP. MY DEALER HAS OFFERED NO COMPENSATION IN THE FORM OF A LOANER OR OTHER ASSISTANCE.

TAKATA RECALL: NO WORD FROM THE DEALER ABOUT HOW TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE REQUIRE SOME REMEDY/ACTION ASAP.
AUDI HAS NOT PROVIDED A RESOLUTION TO THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. THEY HAVE NOT SENT ANY INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET THIS FIXED. THEY SHOULD DO THIS ASAP TO AVOID ANY INCIDENTS.
TAKATA RECALL I AM TERRIFIED OF USING MY AUDI WHEN THE AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY PROVEN TO BE LETHAL. NO ONE WANTS TO BUY A CAR WITH THIS DEFECT. I HAVE HAD MANY RECALL REMINDERS YET NO PART REPLACEMENTS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

TAKATA RECALL, NO SOLUTION OR REMEDY IS AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN GREATER THAN 1 YEAR (JAN 11, 2017) AND THE LOSS OF USE OF VEHICLE DUE TO RECOMMENDATION NOT TO HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL DEALER UNABLE TO PROVIDE PASSENGER SIDE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG. LEFT SIDE (DRIVER SIDE) WAS REPLACED EARLIER IN 2017.
TAKATA RECALL. THERE HAVE BEEN 2 SEPARATE RECALLS FOR THIS CAR BOTH INVOLVING THE AIR BAGS. THE FIRST ONE, IN FEB 2016 WAS FOR THE AIR BAG ON THE DRIVERS SIDE; THE SECOND WAS FOR THE PASSENGER'S AIR BAG IN MAY 2016. IT'S NOW DECEMBER 2016 AND MY LOCAL AUDI DEALER STILL DOES NOT HAVE A REMEDY FOR EITHER ONE. ACCORDING TO THEM, THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT? HOW CAN I HAVE A CAR THAT I CAN'T DRIVE? IN ADDITION, THEY CANNOT OFFER A LOANER CAR SINCE THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT AND WON'T COMMIT TO OFFERING A LOANER INDEFINITELY. I ALSO CALLED THE AUDI CORPORATE OFFICES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT'S UP TO THE LOCAL DEALERS TO TAKE CARE OF ANY OTHER ARRANGEMENTS BEYOND THE ACTUAL FIXING OF THE PROBLEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS IS NOT ONLY VERY DISCONCERTING BUT IT COULD LEAD TO A CATASTROPHIC EVENT FOR EITHER MYSELF OR SOMEONE IN MY FAMILY. I WOULD LIKE SOME HELP FROM YOUR AGENCY TO TRY TO RESOLVE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL. *TR
TAKATA RECALL. THIS RECAP WAS ANNOUNCED MAY 2016. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM AUDI IN JUNE. IT IS NOW DECEMBER 2016 AND THERE HAS BEEN NO FURTHER CONTACT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE LETTER STATES NOT TO ALLOW A PERSON TO SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MOST OF MY DRIVING IS ALONE TO WORK. BUT MY FATHER WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER AND I AM NOT ABLE TO TAKE HIM TO TREATMENT. I CALLED DUBLIN OHIO DEALER TO ASK FOR A LOANER CAR FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS TWICE A MONTH. NO COOPERATION. NO PATH FORWARD. NO SCHEDULE FOR REMEDY. NOTHING. MY CAR MIGHT AS WELL BE A ONE SEATED CAR. *TR
TAKATA RECALL. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOCATED AND DRIVEN IN THE STATE OF TEXAS FROM AUGUST 2011 THRU FEBRUARY 2016. IT WAS RELOCATED TO ILLINOIS IN FEBRUARY 2016 AND THE RECALLED FOR TAKATA AIRBAG DANGER IN MAY 2016. THIS RECALL PROCESS HAS BEEN AN UNETHICAL AND IMMORAL PROCESS WITH IRRESPONSIBLE DELAYS AND LETHAL POSSIBILITIES. THIS SITUATION MUST BE RECTIFIED IMMEDIATELY REGARDLESS OF CONSEQUENCES TO THE MANUFACTURER.

MY CAR GAVE ME THIS MESSAGE" LEFT HEADLIGHT MAIN BEAM DIPPED AND THE LEFT HEADLIGHT WENT OFF. THE LEFT HEAD LIGHT COME ON FOR A WHILE WHEN I START THE CAR IN THE NIGHT FOR A WHILE AND THEN GOES OFF WHEN I AM ON THE ROAD. I CHECKED WITH THE AUDI USA CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE AND THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME ANY PLAUSIBLE EXPLANATION. I WENT ONLINE WITH MY CAR PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT MANY AUDI 2005-2009 HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE AUDI DEALERSHIPS DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE WITH THEIR CARS

TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN TO MY DEALERSHIP WITH REGARDS TO THE RECALL HERE IN HOUSTON. AND THE ONLY THING THEY SAY IS THAT THEY ARE AWARE BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT AUDI IS GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. THEY HAVE NO TIMELINE OR TABLE AS TO WHEN THEY WILL BEGIN REPAIRS.
TAKATA RECALL MY COMPLAIN IS THE LACK OF IMPORTANCE BY AUDI AND TAKATA WHEN THEY DONT HAVE A TIME TABLE AS TO WHEN PARTS ARE GOING TO BECOME AVAILABLE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND THEY DONT CARE IF YOU HAVE TO SIT YOUR SPOUSE OR CHILDREN AND POTENTIALLY EXPOSE THEM TO A TRAGEDY, SHOULD YOU BE INVOLVED IN A AUTO ACCIDENT. IN MY CASE I HAVE 2 VEHICLES, DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS AND BOTH OF THEM HAVE THE SAME RECALL FOR THE AIR BAGS.

TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED NOTICE FROM AUDI OF AMERICA APRIL 2016 STATING THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS POTENTIAL TO CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH BUT NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR. RECEIVED NOTICE FROM AUDI OF AMERICAN JULY 2016 STATING THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS POTENTIAL TO CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH BUT NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR AND THEY RECOMMEND NOT USING PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED. CALLED AUDI WHO INFORMED ME THAT WHILE BOTH AIRBAGS HAVE THE SAME POTENTIAL ISSUE, THEY CAN ONLY RECOMMEND NOT USING PASSENGER SIDE AS THE CONSUMER MUST USE THE DRIVER'S SIDE TO DRIVE A CAR. AUDI ALSO INFORMED ME THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE THE AIRBAGS DEFUNCT UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE RECEIVING THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG LETTER AND STILL NO PART.
TAKATA RECALL: THIS COMPLAINT IS IN REGARD TO PASSENGER AIRBAG ONLY, WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVER. I CONTACTED AUDI USA, 800-822-2834 AND CONFIRMED WITH THE REP ( VINCE) THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE AVAILABLE REGARDING THE DRIVER AIRBAG NOT AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. AUDI USA IS NOT ABLE/WILLING TO PROVIDE A LETTER INDICATING THAT THERE IS NO NEED TO BE CONCERNED RE; DRIVER AIR BAG AND MORE IMPORTANTLY , THAT IT IS SAFE.. I FIND THIS TO BE VERY INAPPROPRIATE, I LIVE IN MIAMI, FL. A HIGHLY HUMID AND HOT STATE WHICH TAKATA HAS REPORTED AIRBAG INFLATOR COULD POTENTIALLY RUPTURE DUE TO PROPELLANT DEGRADATION OCCURRING AFTER LONG-TERM EXPOSURE TO ABSOLUTE HIGH HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE CYCLING. I KNOW FOR A FACT CAN BE DEADLY IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS. I WAS INFORMED BY THE AUDI/ REP THAT THE ONLY WAY TO BE SURE IS TO " TAKE THE CAR APART TO CONFIRM MANUFACTURER OF AIRBAG." THIS IS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DENY A FAMILY/FRIEND TRANSPORTATION ( PASSENGER ) BECAUSE I HAVE A RECALLED AIRBAG WITH A "REPAIR SOLUTION PENDING." IN ADDITION, I AM MAKING MY CAR PAYMENTS TOWARDS A CAR THAT I NOW FEEL UNSAFE, AND CANNOT ALLOW A PASSENGER TO ACCOMPANY ME. I AM REQUESTING A PROMPT ANSWER TO MY COMPLAINT IN HOPES THAT WE CAN COME TO AN AGREEMENT AND SOLUTION TOWARDS THIS PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL. AFTER RECEIVING NOTICE OF THE RECALL, WE CANNOT PLACE OUR DISABLED SON IN THE FRONT SEAT SUCH THAT WE CAN KEEP AND EYE ON HIM, AS HE CAN'T CONTROL HIS IMPULSES. IT IS NOT SAFE TO PLACE HIM IN THE BACK AS HE ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHEN MY WIFE WAS DRIVING. THIS IS AN EXTREME HARDSHIP, AND AUDI WON'T PROVIDE ME A LOANER CAR OR A SOLUTION. IS THERE A CLASS ACTION SUIT INVOLVING THIS ISSUE? AUDI HAS PROVIDED NO HELP, AND TAKATA CAN'T BE REACHED. WHAT WE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?
I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT AUDI SUPPOSEDLY SENT THAT MY 2008 A4 SEDAN HAS A TAKATA AIR BAG THAT WILL BE REPLACED.

I DRIVE WITH A PERSON WHO IS CLAUSTROPHOBIC AND MUST SIT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. I ALSO DRIVE A GROUP OF FRIENDS AND WE NEED TO USE THE PASSENGER SEAT AS WELL AS THE REAR SEATS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND I REQUEST A SPEEDY REMEDY/ REPLACEMENT AIR BAG.

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED AT THE BEGINNING OF JULY THAT MY VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED BY THE TAKATA RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, BUT THAT NO SOLUTION WAS AVAILABLE. I REQUESTED MORE INFORMATION BOTH FROM MY LOCAL AUDI DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS FROM AUDI USA AND RECEIVED NO DEFINITIVE ANSWER. THE BEST ESTIMATE THE DEALERSHIP COULD GIVE ME WAS 8 MONTHS TO A YEAR BEFORE A SOLUTION. THIS MEANS THAT I CAN NOT SAFELY HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE OR OUR INFANT INT HE BACK SEAT FOR THAT PERIOD OF TIME, ESSENTIALLY RENDERING THE VEHICLE USELESS. THIS DOES NOT SEEM LIKE A REASONABLE TIME PERIOD TO ME AND I WOULD LIKE THE NHTSA TO EVALUATE THE SITUATION.
