THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PEAKE BMW (2630 VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD, KENNER, LA 70062) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RELATED THE FAILURE TO AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM HAS FAILED. HAS THERE BEEN A RECALL TO FIX PROBLEM ON MY 2007 BMW 750LI. MY VEHICLE IS PARKED IN GARAGE CANT DRIVE DO NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY BRAKE TO PARK IT WITHOUT APPLYING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE.
IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FROM 2009 WHICH WAS NOT A BIG CONCERN AFTER I BOUGHT THE VEH.AS OF NOW THE PROBLEM HAS WORSENED I HAPPENS WHEN I AM PARKING THE ( PARALLEL PARKING ) LESS THEN 10 MILES PER HOUR BRAKE PEDAL BECOME STIFF WHEN DEPRESS ON IT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP SOMETIME I WOULD BUMP THE IN FRONT OF ME OR BEHIND ME. THE SCARY PART IS WHEN I AM EFFECTING A BROKEN U TURN IN A TIGHT STREET ,I WOULD STEP ON THE BEAK TO AVOID HITTING IN FRONT AND BACK OF ME . THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD STIFFEN EVEN IF PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. I PURSHASED THE CAR WITH 13000 MILES AND NOW THE CAR HAS ONLY 73000 MILES I CHANGE MY ROTORS ON TIME BRAKE PADS ON TIME ONCE THE CAR IS GOING STRAIGHT THE BRAKE WORKS PLEASE ,I DON' T KNOW WHAT TO DO. BMW REFUSES TO ACCOMPLISH BRAKE RECALL 10V446000. STATED CAMPAIGN ACCOMPLISHED PREVIOUSLY (SEVERAL YEARS AGO) WITH ANOTHER OWNER BUT VERY INTERMITTENT BRAKE FAIL ISSUE STILL REMAINS, EXTREME HAZARD. OBVIOUSLY WASN'T PREFORMED PROPERLY OR ISSUE STILL EXISTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHECK VALVE OF THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP LEAKED OIL INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V446000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
AS I WAS ARRIVING TO PARK MY BMW I APPLIED THE BRAKES TO PUT IT INTO PARK BUT THE BRAKES FAILED, IN RESULT THE CAR DROVE THREW THE BUILDING. WHEN THE REAR WHEELS REACHED THE CURBSIDE/SIDEWALK, IT STOPPED THE CAR, CAUSING THE BUILDING TO GET DAMAGE. AND I GOT A TICKET FOR MALFUNCTION OF BRAKE BUT IT IS NOT MY FAULT FOR THE MALFUNCTION OF THE BRAKES BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR 3 MONTHS AGO FROM A CARMAX DEALER. AND AT THAT TIME THE MILEAGE WAS 46185. WHEN I WAS CHECKING ONLINE, AND THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT THE BRAKES IN BMW. IN ONE ARTICLE IT STATED QUOTE:"A CHECK VALVE OF THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP MAY LEAK A SMALL AMOUNT OF LUBRICATING OIL.? IT CONTINUED, ?OVER TIME THIS COULD RESULT IN THE CONTAMINATION OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER. IF THIS OCCURRED, THE POWER-ASSIST BRAKING COULD BE AFFECTED.? END QUOTE. *TR

THE VEHICLE CONTINUED MOVING AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH AND A TREE. THE CONTACT WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA HELICOPTER. HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE FRACTURES AND BRAIN HEMORRHAGING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MEMORY LOSS AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS FOUND 35 TO 40 FEET INTO THE DITCH AND HAD CRASHED APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES FROM THE MAIN ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A SERVICE CENTER. A DETAILED POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
