TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT IT CONTINUED TO STALL AND TURN OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE DRIVEN AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NORTHWEST HILLS CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (LOCATED AT 2065 E MAIN ST, TORRINGTON, CT 06790, (860) 626-5296) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR FUSE BLOCK AND THE RELAY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,818. *TT THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE FUSE BLOCK WAS MELTED. THE BUICK WAS IN MY GARAGE WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE, BEFORE GOING TO BED I ALWAYS OPEN THE DOOR TO THE GARAGE TO BE SURE THE GARAGE DOOR IS DOWN AND THE FLAG IS INSIDE. DID SO THAT NIGHT AND ALL WAS NORMAL. THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR TO THE GARAGE TO PUT THE BIG DOOR UP AND THE FLAG OUT THE GARAGE WAS VERY WARM. NO OTHER INDICATION OF A PROBLEM, ASSUMED HE FURNACE HAD ACTED UP. WE TOOK THE CAR TO HAVE BREAKFAST DID NOTICE THE HOOD WAS VERY WARM AS IF THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING (I DO NOT HAVE A SENSE OF SMELL SO DID NOT SMELL AN EXHAUST) FUEL WAS VERY LOW ( I WONDERED IF THERE WAS ENOUGH TO GET TO A SERVICE STATION) FILLED HE CAR HAD BREAKFAST THEN CAME HOME NOT APPARENT PROBLEMS. LATER THAT MORNING MY WIFE USE THE CAR TO GO TO AN APPOINTMENT WHEN IT STARTED TO MISS, SHE PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND CALLED AAA WHO TOWED THE CAR TO THE NEAREST BUICK DEALER. THE CAR IS THERE NOW, THEY HAD NO YET DETERMINED THE PROBLEM. *TR

ON APRIL 27 WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON I-94 E IN OUR 2009 BUICK LUCERNE WITH 6,127 MILES ON IT. WHILE PULLING BACK ON I-94 THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE OUT OF CONTROL AND WE HELD THE BRAKES DOWN TO THE FLOOR BUT IT WOULD NOT STOP IT. I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BUT THE CAR WAS STILL WIDE OPEN. I HAVE NOTIFIED GM AND THEY SENT US ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT PEOPLE UNTIL IT FINALLY WAS SENT TO THE GM EXECUTIVE OFFICE. THEY ARE STILL REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IF. WE ARE ASKING THAT THEY PROVE TO US THAT THE CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE BUT THEY STILL REFUSE THEY TRIED AT FIRST TO TELL US THAT IT WAS THE WINTER MATS THAT WE HAD IN OUR CAR BUT WHEN THE DEALER TRIED TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THEY FINALLY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT THE MATT NOW GM STILL HAS NOT GOT BACK WITH ME. MY WIFE WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR SINCE IT WAS HER THAT WAS DRIVING WHEN THE CAR RAN AWAY. IF I-94 WAS BACKED UP THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE CRASH BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP THE CAR PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER WE TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAW THAT THE BRAKES WERE SMOKED AND NEED WORK TO CORRECT THEM. *TR
