RIGHT FRONT ABS SYSTEM CODE. REPLACED ABS SENSOR AND HUB ASSEMBLY. DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THIS SEEMS TO BE A RECURRING PROBLEM IN SOME VEHICLES. IT MAY BE A WIRING PROBLEM.
CONSUMER STATES: WERE IN MIDDLE LANE GETTING READY TO MERGE TO THE LEFT TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN AND ALL THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED ALL AT ONCE,CLEAR DAY WAS NO RAIN OR SNOW. VEHICLE HAS BEEN INSPECTED SAID COMPUTERS IN VEHICLE SAID NO AIR BAGS HAD DEPLOYED ONE OF THREE COMPUTERS FAILED BUT COMPUTERS THEMSELVES DIDN'T SHOW AIR BAGS DEPLOYING.*AK
AS PER A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT I REVIEWED ON YOUR WEBSITE, ODI #10142582, I HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. HOWEVER, MINE INVOLVED THE PASSENGER SEAT HEATING ELEMENT WHICH OVERHEATED/SHORTED AND MELTED MY PASSENGER SIDE LEATHER SEAT. BUICK REFUSED TO REPLACE IT. MY REGAL HAD A VERY SIMILAR VIN TO THE ONE I STATED ABOVE. THESE TWO INCIDENTS SEEM VERY SIMILAR. WHAT ARE MY RECOURSES?*JB
SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN ANALYZED BY THE DEALER, A TRANSMISSION AND A MISFIRE CODE CAME UP. THE TRANSMISSION WAS FLUSHED AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE COPPER IN THE FLUID INDICATING WEAR AND PREMATURE FAILURE. A TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT FAIL AT 65,500 MILES UNDER EVERYDAY DRIVING CONDITIONS. REPAIRS ON THE TRANSMISSION HAVE NOT TAKEN PLACE. IN MY OPINION THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTIVE AND GM SHOULD REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT A SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED COST. I WILL PURSUE A REMEDY FROM GM. THE MISFIRE WAS TRACED TO A FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR WHICH WAS REPLACED. *JB

BRIGHT SUN CAUSED SIGNIFICANT IMPAIRMENT OF VISIBILITY CAUSED BY GLARE FROM DASH REFLECTED INTO THE WINDSHIELD. *BF DESIGN PROBLEM INVOLVING THE ANGLE OF THE WINDSHIELD RELATIVE TO THE REFLECTIVE SURFACE OF THE DASH. *SC
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED HAD NUMEROUS FLAT TIRES ON THE 2002 BUICK REGAL. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP THE FLAT TIRES WERE DUE TO THE PEALING OF THE CHROME RIMS ON THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP RESEALED THE RIMS ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHEN THE VEHICLE TIRES WERE LOW AND BECAME FLAT. THERE WEREN'T ANY PARTICULAR ROAD OR WEATHER CONDITIONS WHEN TIRES WENT FLAT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE BOTH 32100.*AK CONSUMER STATES DEALER INFORMED HER RIMS NEED RELINING THAT'S WHY THE TIRES KEEP GOING FLAT, DEALER WILL NOT PAY TO HAVE THE RIMS REPLACED AND CONSUMER FEELS IT THE DEALERS RESPONSIBILITY. *4/17TR
COMPLAINT RECEIVED VIA E-MAIL. ON A TRIP FROM FLORIDA TO PENNSYLVANIA SUPER CHARGER BELT BROKE ON I-95 SOUTH. ONSTAR DIRECTED ME TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR SERVICE. SERPENTINE BELT IDLER PULLEY BEARING SEIZED. REPLACED DRIVE BELT, SUPER CHARGER BELT AND PULLEY. ALSO, BATTERY HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF LEAKING ACID FROM POSITIVE BATTERY. THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT CAUSED BY BELT FAILURE. *AK
A LOUD RATTLING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL. WHEN THE BRAKES APPLIED THE NOISE ESCALATED. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK REGAL. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. UPON RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE. *TR
2002 BUICK LESABRE - WINDOW REGULATORS CONSISTENTLY FAIL. *TR
WHILE SITTING AT AN INTERSECTION ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED CONSUMER'S VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO MOVE FORWARD AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO HOLD THE DRIVER AND SHE HIT HER HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. *AK *JB
WHEN DRIVING IN THE RAIN, THE CONSUMER NOTICED WHEN TURNING THE A/C ON TO HELP DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD FROM THE MIST ON THE WINDSHIELD, THE CONSUMER STILL COULD NOT SEE OUT OF THE WINDOW. *JB WHILE BRAKING THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WHEEL BEARINGS. THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER DOOR WERE MISALIGNED AND AS A RESULT THEY WOULD NOT SHUT PROPERLY. *NM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK REGAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND RESUMED IN OPERATION. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. *TR
THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER DID NOT WORK, THE DEALERSHIP SERVICED THE VEHICLE 4 TO 5 TIMES AND REPLACED THE ARM AND BLADE, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM RECURRED.*JB *TS

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK REGAL. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF FUMES. THE SMELL INTENSIFIED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V118000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). SHE HAS NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER. THE VIN, ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, POWERTRAIN, AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKERED, WHEN THE CONSUMER REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. *JB
HEADREST IS MADE OUT OF HARD THICK PLASTIC, AND ARE NOT POSITIONED CORRECTLY WHICH COULD CAUSE NECK INJURY, ALSO WHEN CONSUMER HITS BRAKES THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE COMING FRONT THE FRONT SUSPENSION, THE DEALER STATED THE LEFT FRONT CRADLE MOUNT WAS MISALIGNED.*JB
THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALER/BUERKLE BUICK 3350 HIGHWAY 61, ST. PAUL, MN. 55110. SERVICE TEC REFUSED TO DOCUMENT THIS PROBLEM. THERE IS AN INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE DISPLAY CIRCUIT WHICH INDICATES THE GEAR THE CAR IS IN. ON START-UP, THERE IS NO DISPLAY OF SHIFT POSITION OR RADIO DISPLAY. ABOUT 30-40 SECONDS LATER, THERE IS AN AUDIBLE "TINK" DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER IN THE DASH. OBVIOUSLY, THERE IS A DEFECTIVE RELAY IN THE CIRCUIT, AND I AM NOT GOING TO GET "CAUGHT" ON THIS ONE AFTER THE WARRENTY PERIOD IS UP. THIS REPORT ESTABLISHES AN OFFICAL RECORD OF THE PROBLEM TO ENSURE FUTURE REPAIR. IT IS INHERENTLY DANGEROUS TO HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT GEAR ONE IS IN , OTHER THAN GUESSING! MR
"SERVICE VEHICLE SOON" LIGHT COMES ON AFTER DRIVING A FEW MILES ALONG WITH THE "ANTI-LOCK" LIGHT AND "TRAC OFF" LIGHT. READING THE BUICK MANUAL, THIS INDICATES SOME SORT OF BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN WHY ONCE THOSE LIGHTS CAME ON, I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. DEALER STATED "I DON'T SEE A BRAKE PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. IT'S AN IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM." WHAT???? *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY STOP WITHOUT WARNING.*AK *JG
ENGINE STALLED AND WAS DIFFICULT TO RE-START. ONCE RESTARTED, IT RAN VERY ROUGH, EMITTED A LOUD TICKING NOISE, AND STALLED OFTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A BROKEN VALVE SPRING. ALL OF THIS ON THE 3RD DAY OF OWNERSHIP.
THE SUN VISORS MUST BE CORRECTED/DRIVER CAN'T SEE WHEN GOING WEST INTO THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!. *AK
