VEHICLE OVERHEATS; INTAKE MANIFOLD REPAIRED TWICE (ONCE IN WARRANTY AND ONCE OUT OF WARRANTY PERIOD); INDEPENDENT GARAGE AND BUICK DEALERSHIP SAY THAT HEAD GASKETS ARE LEAKING. BUICK HAS BEEN CONTACT TO ASSIST BUT HAS SAID MILEAGE IS TOO HIGH FOR ANY COVERAGE; APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH INCREASED CLAIMS OF HEAD GASKET REPAIR AFTER ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF IN SERVICE; THE MAY 2002 BUILD MONTH HAS VERY HIGH OCCURRENCE OF THIS REPLACEMENT (MY VEHICLE WAS BUILD IN THIS PERIOD). *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED WHEN HE USED THE AIR CONDITIONER. HE TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER BUT BECAUSE OF THE COSTS, HE DECIDED TO HAVE A FRIEND REPAIR IT. HOWEVER, THE ISSUE STILL OCCURRED. THE OTHER ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE WAS THAT IT DID NOT GET THE FUEL MILEAGE THAT IT WAS SUPPOSED. HE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE WAS MAKING NOISE, A GRUMBLING NOISE TO BE EXACT. HE CHANGED REAR END FLUID BUT COULD STILL HEAR NOISE. THE NOISE WOULD BE HEARD WHEN HE TURNED RIGHT OR LEFT. HE RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES FOR HIS VEHICLE (02V222000, 07V349000, 07E021000) BUT WHEN HE CONSULTED THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER, HE WAS TOLD VERY CONFLICTING STORIES ABOUT WHETHER THE RECALLS ON HIS VEHICLE EXISTED AND IF THEY HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED. AT THIS TIME, THE CONTACT DID NOT KNOW IF THE RECALLS COULD AFFECT HIS VEHICLE AND HOW TO GET THE ISSUES REMEDIED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 112,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000. 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET DEFECTIVE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT SMELLED FUEL INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE INLET CHECK VALVE WAS FRACTURED. HE ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE, BUT THE ENTIRE FUEL TANK HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V349000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE), EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V349000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE). THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. ALARM GOES OFF ANY TIME YOU LOCK DOORS, CAN'T OPEN LOCKS WITHOUT USING KEYS SO CAN'T OPEN REAR DOORS TO GET MY KIDS OUT. LIGHT WILL NOT SHUT OFF, EXTERIOR THERMOSTAT IS INACCURATE, A/C DOES NOT WORK AT ALL TIMES. DOOR UNLOCK BUTTONS DO NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. CAR GOES INTO SECURITY MODE, SO NO A/C, NO CLOCK, NO STEREO. TRUNK POPS OPEN BY ITSELF. THE INTERIOR DOOR ALARM WON'T GO OFF EVEN WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED. NEED TO DISCONNECT BATTERIES AT TIMES TO SHUT OFF LIGHTS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WILL BE TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSIS. WE HAVE A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS AND HAD TO REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARINGS AT ONLY 86K MILES AND NOW THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER HAS FAILED. THESE ARE EXPENSIVE REPAIRS AND THERE SEEM TO BE MANY OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS ON THIS VEHICLE ... BUICK SHOULD FIX THESE AS THEY ARE A COMMON OCCURRENCE! *TR
I STARTED SMELLING GASOLINE WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND NOTICED A SMALL AMOUNT OF GASOLINE ON THE GARAGE FLOOR. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO BE DIAGNOSED AT A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS A FUEL LEAK. I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS, CALLED BUICK AND I WAS TOLD MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. I HAVE STATED TO THEM THAT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER MY VEHICLE IS IN THE RECALL OR NOT, A GAS TANK SHOULD NOT LEAK ON A 5 YR. OLD VEHICLE (OR ANY VEHICLE FOR THAT MATTER). BUICK WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF IT AT THIS TIME. MILEAGE IS AT 83,000 AT THIS TIME. *TR
SAME EXACT ISSUE AS RECALL NUMBER: 07V349000. PER BUICK, MY VIN DOES NOT MATCH THAT RECALL HOWEVER. *TR
MY CAR HAS A GAS LEAK FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKETS ARE LEAKING. I HAVE AN MUSTY ODOR IN THE CAR ALONG WITH GAS SMELL. THE AIR CONDITION FAILED LAST WEEK DUE TO WHAT I FIND OUT NOW IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THE GASKET FAILURE IS A KNOWN ISSUE THE FUEL TANK IS A KNOWN ISSUE. HOW CAN YOU ALLOW A MANUFACTURER GET AWAY WITH THIS. *TR
WAS INFORMED BY A FRIEND OF AN NTMVSA-RELATED RECALL (NUMBER 07273) ON THEIR 2003 PONTIAC VIBE FOR A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING ON BOTH OF OUR 2002 AND 2003 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. WINDOW HARDWARE DETERIORATES, RESULTING IN THE SNAPPING OF WINDOW SUPPORT HARDWARE. IN MOST CASES WINDOW GLASS DROPS TOTALLY INSIDE THE DOOR AND IS IRRETRIEVABLE UNLESS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO CHARGES FOR A REPAIR. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE ABOUT A WEEK APART IN OUR 2002 RENDEZVOUS. ALSO, THE CHARACTERISTIC "POPPING OR CLICKING SOUND" LISTED IN THE RECALL IS HAPPENING ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IN BOTH OUR 2002 AND 2003 MODEL RENDEZVOUS, SIGNALING THAT THE WINDOW HARDWARE IS FAILING AGAIN. THIS RESULTS IN A HAZARD SITUATION IN EITHER EXTREMELY HOT OR EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER, REGARDLESS OF GLASS BREAKAGE (WHICH DIDN'T HAPPEN IN OUR CASE). SINCE I DO NOT HAVE A GM FACTORY CUSTOM WARRANTY ON MY 2002 RENDEZVOUS, REPAIRS HAVE COST ME APPROXIMATELY $250 DOLLARS OUT-OF-POCKET. I WAS ABLE TO SECURE A COVERAGE LETTER FROM GM IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, BUT I AM READING MANY ACCOUNTS OF A SIMILAR FAILURE FROM MANY RENDEZVOUS OWNERS ON THE INTERNET. *TR
I BOUGHT MY 02 BUICK RENDEZVOUS IN OCT OF 05. IT HAD 53K. I JUST HIT 90K THE LARGEST PART IS HIGHWAY MILES FROM THIS PASSED YEAR WITH SEVERAL DEATHS IN MY FAMILY. TO START WITH MY PASSENGER FLOOR WOULD GET SOAKED. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE WINDOW WAS LEFT DOWN OR THE SUNROOF WAS LEAKING. I CHECKED AND THE RUBBER IS STILL INTACT AND I CAN SPRAY WATER ON THE ROOF AND NOTHING LEAKS IN. THE TRACT AROUND THE SUNROOF IS NOT WET. ONE MORNING MY ON STAR SYSTEM HAD WATER DRIPPING FROM IT BUT NO WATER WAS FELT AROUND THE SUN ROOF AND THE WINDSHIELD SITS BELOW IT. THIS HAD BEEN GOING ON SINCE I GOT THE CAR. NOW WITHIN THE PAST 6 MONTHS EVERYTHING ON THE CAR IS FAILING. MY DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT LOCK WITH THE REMOTE. THIS IS A 300 MOTOR. MY COOLANT DISAPPEARS FROM RESERVE WITH NO SIGN OF LEAKING. I HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND THE FIRST DAY OFF I HAD TO GO GET IT CHECKED IT WENT OFF. MY AC STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE 3 KIDS AND NO AC IN 100 WEATHER SUXS. HAD IT CHARGED AND WITHIN 2 WEEKS BACK TO NO AC NOW AFTER WEEKS OF RESEARCH I AM FINDING OUT THAT THE INTAKE GASKETS ON THIS MOTOR ARE MADE FROM NYLON AND THE DEX COOL THAT IS SAID TO BE USED IN IT CAN EAT THEM PREMATURELY. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE MY CAR WAS OVER HEATING. THE AC CONDENSER IS ALSO KNOWN TO GO OUT REGULAR. I JUST BOUGHT BRAND NEW TIRES IN MAY AND HAD THE ALIGNMENT DONE. I NOTICED THAT THE FRONT OF MY CAR HAS BEGAN TO SHAKE AND THE FRONT LEFT TIRE IS ATE UP. I AM WONDERING IF THIS IS THE BEARING PROBLEM THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR. I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT FORCING GM TO RECALL THIS VEHICLE. MY RESEARCH HAS FOUND HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF THESE PROBLEMS. A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CANADA NOT INCLUDING THE RECALL THAT CANADA HAS FORCED OVER THIS EXACT YR AND MODEL. I STILL OWE A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS CAR AND MY REPAIRS ARE ALMOST MORE THEN WHAT I OWE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THE DRIVER WAS ALERTED THAT THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE FUEL STOPPED LEAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS DISCONNECTED FROM THE FUEL FILTER. THE FUEL FILTER WAS REPLACED. ON MY 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS THE A/C WOULD NOT COOL. WENT TO MECHANIC. ADDED COOLANT AND TEST DYE FOR LEAKS. FOUND A/C CONDENSER TO HAVE A LEAK. BOUGHT NEW CONDENSER AND INSTALLED IT. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION ON THE INTERNET IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT A COMPLAINT BE FILED HERE DUE TO THE OVERLY EXCESSIVE INCIDENTS INVOLVING THE A/C CONDENSER ON THE MODEL VEHICLE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND DISPLAYED DISABLED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. HE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS WATER INTRUSIONS FLOWING FROM UNDER THE CARPET TO THE DRAIN AND FUEL PUMP HARNESS. HE STATED THAT THE ABS HARNESS WAS AFFECTED BY THE CONDENSATION FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER, WHICH IS CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE REPAIR WOULD COST $1,500. I AM EXPERIENCING A GAS LEAK AT THE FUEL TANK INLET FILLER PIPE, JUST AS THE NHTSA INVESTIGATION (EA07006) HAS DESCRIBED. THIS IS VERY DISTURBING AS MY WHOLE FAMILY IS TRANSPORTED IN THIS VEHICLE. IT APPEARS THE LEAK IS WHERE THE ICV AND FUEL TANK ARE JOINED. THIS IS ON MY 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS CXL. I JUST NOTICED IT TODAY (8/10/2007) WHEN MY GARAGE SMELLED OF GASOLINE. THE TEMPERATURES IN THIS AREA HAVE BEEN VERY HOT (100+ DEGREES) AS OF LATE. *JB
I ALSO HAVE A 2002 RENDEZVOUS THAT HAD THE HEAD GASKET GO OUT AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES AND HAD TO REPLACE IT MYSELF AS BUICK DENIED THIS PROBLEM WAS RARE AND BECAUSE OF MILEAGE BEFORE OCCURRENCE. THE LEAK INVOLVED COOLANT LOSS. ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE CONTROL MODULE. HAVE A 2001 LESABRE THAT ALSO HAD A HEAD GASKET GO OUT AND IS LEAKING OIL; BEGAN AT ABOUT 35,000 MILES. *TR
AIR CONDITIONER WOULD INFREQUENTLY WORK. SEEMED TO WORK WHEN THE CAR WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED BUT NOT AT IDLE. THOUGHT AT FIRST THIS WAS A PROPERTY OF THE VEHICLE. NEVER COULD FIND A REFERENCE THAT WOULD INDICATE THAT. CHECK AC PRESSURE AND IT WAS LOW. INSERTED A DYE CHARGE AND FOUND THE CONDENSOR WAS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. SEEMS TO BE CLOSE TO THE MOUNTING BRACKET. *TR
NO NOTICE FROM GM ON RECALL DATED 08/08/2007 FUEL TANK DEFECT. FUEL LEAKING FROM FUEL TANK AT THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION. DEALERS WILL NOT REPAIR THIS DEFECT. I AM THE ORIG. OWNER.
WHEEL BEARINGS NEED REPLACEMENT. FUEL PUMP WAS BAD. REPLACED TIRES AND BRAKES 3 TIMES SINCE I HAV E OWNED THE VEHICLE 2 YEARS. INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS LEAKING, CAUSING THE CAR TO BE SLUGGISH AND NOT START SOMETIMES. ABS LIGHTS CAME ON FREQUENTLY. THE CAR WAS A BIG NIGHTMARE. WISH I NEVER WOULD OF BOUGHT A BUICK RENDEZVOUS. *AK
I AM HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH MY 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. FIRST, THE POWER DOOR LOCKS, WINDOWS, AIR CONDITIONER, RADIO AND REMOTE KEYS ENTRY WOULD LOCK. THEN YESTERDAY THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. SOMEHOW I MANAGED TO TURN A CORNER (WITHOUT POWER STEERING) AND PARK THE VEHICLE. AFTER WAITING A WHILE AND REMOVING AND REPLACING THE CONNECTION FROM THE BATTERY TO THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD, I WAS ABLE TO GET IT RESTARTED AND RETURN TO WORK. WHEN I TRIED TO LEAVE WORK, IT DIED IN THE DRIVEWAY. AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO RESET EVERYTHING AFTER SEVERAL TRIES AND PARK THE VEHICLE. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH SQUEAKY BRAKES, WHICH HAVE BEEN BAD SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT THE DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT GARAGE CANNOT FIND A CAUSE. I ALSO AM STARTING TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE COOLANT LEVEL GOING DOWN WITH NO VISIBLE LEAK. *TR

THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM STORAGE TANK (NHTSA CAMPAIGN #07V349000). THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE RECALL AND WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAKE REPAIR. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT 22 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE REAR SEAT BECAME UNHINGED AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE CONTACT AND ANOTHER PASSENGER WERE INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A BODY SHOP AND THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE SEAT FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 60,331.

MY 2002 RENDEZVOUS WAS PURCHASED MID-YEAR 2005. AT FIRST THERE WERE ONLY SMALL FLICKERS IN THE HEADLIGHTS, LIKE BLINKING QUICKLY. THE AUTO ELECTRICIAN SAID OUR BATTERY WAS OVERCHARGING AND REPLACED IT. ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO,MY CAR WOULDN'T START, NO SOUND AT ALL LIKE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. BOUGHT ANOTHER BATTERY AND TWO DAYS LATER IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. AGAIN ELECTRICIAN LOOKED IT OVER, COULD FIND NOTHING. SOON MY DOOR LOCKS BEGAN TO LOCK AND UNLOCK BY THEMSELVES EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF AND NO ONE WAS IN IT. COMING HOME ONE NIGHT ON A VERY DARK ROAD, ALL OF MY LIGHTS WENT OUT, INSIDE AND OUT. THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PULL OVER AND NO OUTSIDE LIGHTS. IT SCARED ME BAD. THE WEATHER SENSOR WOULD SAY THERE WAS ICE ON THE ROAD WHEN IT WAS 95 DEGREES OUTSIDE. WHEN IT WAS REALLY HOT ONE DAY SOME KIND OF LOCK WAS PUT ON MY AIR CONDITIONER ,POWER DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOWS AND I THOUGHT I'D SUFFOCATE BEFORE I GOT TO WORK. THE CAR DID THE SENSOR LOCK BY ITSELF. I HAVE PAID ANOTHER 145 DOLLARS TO THE AUTO ELECTRICIAN TO TRY AND TRACE WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A GROUND FAULT. HE ORDERED THE ELECTRICAL SCHEMATICS AND TRACED ALL GROUNDS AND COULD FIND NOTHING. THE ONLY WAY WE COULD RESET THE COMPUTER WAS TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY, THEN HOOK IT BACK UP. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN THIS CAR IN 6 WEEKS BECAUSE IT IS SO UNRELIABLE AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP PAYING PEOPLE TO FIX SOMETHING THAT WE'RE NOT SURE IS THE PROBLEM. FROM READING COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE DEALING WITH THIS. DUE TO A PERSISTENT SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON, WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OUR LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. THEY DETECTED A LEAK IN FUEL TANK AND HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK. IN DECEMBER, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE THAT DESCRIBED THIS PROBLEM AS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND THAT I MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE REPAIRS. I SENT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION AND HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND SINCE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD: 1. VIN # NOT IN RECALL - YES IT IS. AND IT HAS BEEN REGISTERED IN ARIZONA FOR 3 YEARS. 2. REPAIRS NOT DONE BY A GM CERTIFIED DEALER - NOTHING IN THE DOCUMENTATION I WAS SENT STATED ONLY REPAIRS DONE BY A DEALER CERTIFIED REPAIR SHOP WOULD BE HONORED 3. THE TEAM IS REVIEWING IT, BUT NO ONE WILL GIVE ME A NAME OR CONTACT NUMBER FOR "THE TEAM". *CN
2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS CXL HAS COOLANT LEAK FROM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. SEVERAL TIMES THE COOLANT WAS ALMOST GONE. AFTER THE FOURTH REFILL OF FLUIDS THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON AND IS STILL ON. I JUST KEEP FILLING THE COOLANT AND DRIVING THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY & NO RECALL. ALL OF THE PARTS WERE REPLACED. MOST RECENTLY, THE AIR CONDITIONER BEGAN BLOWING HOT AIR AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE CORE ASSEMBLY SHROUD VALVE, IN ADDITION TO THE HOSE THAT CONNECTS TO THE SHROUD VALVE. THE AIR CONDITIONING FAILED AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BACK AT THE DEALER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 64,352 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,468.

THE 150 WE SPENT PERSONALLY TO BUY THE WHEEL BEARING? TOO BAD GM SAID. THE ELECTRICAL UNIT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER OR NOT START AT ALL SOMETIMES LIKE THE BATTERY IS DEAD, BUT THEN IT WILL WORK FINE 20 MINUTES LATER. MY KIDS LOVE SITTING IN A COLD CAR WHEN IT'S 20 BELOW ZERO HERE IN SOUTH DAKOTA FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL OUR CAR DECIDES TO START. THIS IS GREAT FOR THE 8 MONTH OLD BABY. HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY INDEPENDENT GARAGE THAT INCIDENCE OF INTAKE MANIFOLD FAILURE IN THIS VEHICLE IS WELL ABOVE AVERAGE. ALSO ADVISED THAT SINCE INITIAL MODEL ROLLOUT, GM HAS MODIFIED, REDESIGNED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD TO ADDRESS MANIFOLD FAILURE. GM IS UNWILLING TO CORRECT PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE WHICH AT THE TIME OF INITIAL INTAKE MANIFOLD PROBLEM HAD LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON IT. REPAIR WILL COST IN EXCESS OF $850.00 AS LONG AS THE HEAD GASKET HAS NOT BEEN DAMAGED. UNFORTUNATELY WHILE SAVING UP THE $850. FOR REPAIRS, THE HEAD GASKET COULD VERY WELL HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS REPLACED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AT 30,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST DUE TO THE VEHICLE'S AGE AND MILEAGE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 98,333 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
