I WAS DRIVING IN KENWOOD IN CINCINNATI PULLED INTO GO TO STARBUCKS BARELY HIT THE CURB AND MY CONTINENTAL TIRE BLEW. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT IT HAPPENED SO EASY. ACTUALLY LOOKING BACK IT WAS SCARY HOW THE TIRE BLEW THAT EASY. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I HAD TO PAY 241.00 OH AND I HAVEN'T MADE MY FIRST CAR PAYMENT YET. PURCHASED THE CAR ON 11/29/2016. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 BUICK VERANO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 80 MPH, THE GEAR SHIFTED SO HARD THAT THE VEHICLE JOLTED AND CAUSED THE FRONT PASSENGER TO STRIKE THE DASHBOARD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (HIRNING BUICK GMC, POCATELLO, ID, 208-232-8900) WHERE A ROAD TEST WAS PERFORMED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT DUPLICATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER (WACKERLI BUICK, IDAHO FALLS, ID, 208-522-606) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE SENSORS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,500.
THE DRIVER AS WELL AS THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER LOSES THE BENEFIT OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE FRONT SEAT AND THE AIRBAG STATUS INDICATOR LIGHTS. NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED IN MY CRASH IN WHICH THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER INJURED. I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND TURNING LEFT ON A CITY STREET. A LETTER FROM BUICK IN DECEMBER 2016 CLAIMED THAT ONLY THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE NEEDED FIXING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 BUICK VERANO. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, PART OF THE SUBFRAME CONNECTED TO THE WINDSHIELD OBSTRUCTED THE CONTACT'S VISION. THE ISSUE MADE IT DIFFICULT TO EFFECTIVELY COMPLETE THE TURN. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT DROVE OVER A CURB. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED 12/23/16*LJ
I PURCHASED MY 2016 BUICK VERANO ON JULY 23, 2016. THAT EVENING WHILE VISITING FRIENDS, MY WIFE AND I LEFT AFTER IT BECAME DARK. AS WE STARTED TO DRIVE WE NOTICED WE COULD ONLY SEE OUT OF THE LOWER QUARTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. IF I PUT THE HIGH BEAMS ON VIEWING BECOMES BETTER. BUT YOU CANNOT DRIVE AROUND WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON, ALL THE TIME! I CANNOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AT NIGHT FOR FEAR OF HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND HURTING MY FAMILY OR ANOTHER FAMILY IN ANOTHER VEHICLE. TRIED TO TRADE BUT THEY WANTED TO DEDUCT $10,000.00 OF MY VEHICLE. GM HAS NO CONCERNS FOR THEIR CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINTS AS I EVEN SENT A LETTER DIRECTLY TO CEO OF GM. IN ONE COMMUNICATIONS WITH GM THEY TOLD ME, THERE WAS NO FIX FOR THIS AND CASE WAS CLOSED.
THE 1ST TIME I DROVE THIS CAR AT THE VISIBILITY RANGE OF LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WAS HORRIBLE. WHAT A DIFFERENCE FROM MY 2007 BUICK LUCERNE! I AVOIDED NIGHT DRIVING BECAUSE OF IT. THEN IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR I SAW A REPORT ONLINE AND ON NATIONAL NEWS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF 30 NEW CARS AND THEIR HEADLIGHT RATING BY THE INSURANCE INSTITUE GO HIGHWAY SAFETY. MY CAR, A 2016 BUICK VERANO WAS LISTED IN THE TOP 3 WORST CARS TESTED. THE NEWS REPORT SUGGESTED DRIVING WITH HIGH BEAMS WHICH IS ILLEGAL. LAST WEEK CAR WAS SERVICED FOR 1ST TIME WITH ONLY 3800 MILES. I BROUGHT MY CONCERNS ABOUT LIGHTS TO ATTENTION OF SERVICE MANAGER AND HE SEEMED OFFENDED OR PUT OFF BY MY CONCERNS. I TOLD HIM I WANTED DOCUMENTATION OF MY CONCERNS BECAUSE WHEN ACCIDENTS START HAPPENING BECAUSE OF THESE POOR LIGHTS I WANTED TO BE PART OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST GM IF THEY ARE FOUND AT FAULT. HE TOLD ME THEY WERE ABLE TO RAISE THE LINE OF SIGHT ABOUT 6 INCHES. THAT NIGHT I TESTED THE LIGHT. NO NOTICEABLE CHANGES. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO DRIVE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON AND RISK A TICKET. GREAT CAR OTHERWISE BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HEADLIGHTS.
THE RECALL AND FREE REPLACEMENT OF THE 2016 BUICK VERANO DUE TO ITS CAR STATUS AS A "FEDERATION VIOLATION AND RESTRICTED CODE" OF "CARS NOT TO BE SOLD NOR LEASE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BEARING A VIN#PP". WHERETO THE CAR HAS ANTI-LOCK BREAK FOR HOT CLIMATE COUNTRY. NO AUTOMATIC BREAKING SYSTEM (ABS), NO TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TSC), AND NO HEATING ELEMENTS FOR THE FLUID CASE HOLDERS. HENCE FORTH MY "BUICK VERANO 2016 CAR DID NOT COMPLY TO THE MUST REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CARS IN SNOW COUNTRY LIKE USA". THE BUICK MANUFACTURING AND CAR INSURANCE HAS ORDER IMMEDIATE RECALL AND FREE REPLACEMENT REQUESTING INTERVENTION FOR ""ABELOFF BUICK IS NOT ACTING AND COMPLYING TO THE RECALL AND REPLACEMENT ORDERS"" AS ATTACHED FOR THEY ARE IGNORING THE STATUS OF THE CAR; THE DOCUMENTS ATTACHED ARE AS FOLLOWS, FOR CONSIDERATION AND PERUSAL TO THE RECALL AND FREE REPLACEMENT OF THE BUICK CAR; 1. SENIOR BUICK ADVISORY FOR RECALL AND REPLACEMENT. 2. INSURANCE REPLACEMENT ORDER, ASAP STATUS PRIOR TO WINTER. 3. US VIN CHECK REPORT, DEPICTING ALREADY RECALLED, WITH RESTRICTION CODE TO BE SOLD IN THE USA. 4. PERRY-BUICK CHECK REPORT AS GOOD WRENCH CAR, ANTI-BREAK OR DRUM BREAK. SERIES OF E-MAIL HAD BEEN SENT SINCE MARCH 2016 AND THE LATEST WAS 6/27/2016, REQUESTING INTERVENTION TO IMPOSED PERUSAL TO THE ORDERS AS MENTIONED THAT ARE IGNORED BY THE DEALERSHIP ABELOFF BUICK, THIS IS LIFE THREATENING ISSUE AND A REAL FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY VIOLATION FOR SELLING/LEASING OUT A BAND CAR IN THE USA. PLEASE INTERVINE BY IMPOSING TO "ABELOFF BUICK" TEL # 570-421-9900 TO "RECALL AND GIVE THE FREE REPLACEMENT CAR TO THE REGISTERED OWNER OF THE 2016 BUICK CAR SUBJECT TO CAR RECALL AND FREE REPLACEMENT", AND HEREIN SUBMITTING THE FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH URGENT STATUS AND AS DEEM REQUIRED BY LAW.
AS SOON AS I BOUGHT THIS NEW CAR I WAS DRIVING IT AT NIGHT WITH MY DIM HEAD LIGHTS ON AND I COULD NOT SEE VERY FAR AHEAD OF ME UNLESS I PUT MY BRIGHT LIGHTS ON, SO THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED OR AN ACCIDENT CAN OCCUR VERY EASILY !!!!
WAS DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY GOING 65 WHEN CAR TOTALLY TURNED OFF OR STALLED. IT SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. HAVEN'T EVEN MADE MY FIRST CAR PAYMENT YET. CALLED DEALER THEY WANTED ME TO WAIT TILL TOMORROW ARE THEY KIDDING. THEY FINALLY AGREED TO GIVE ME A LENDER CAR. SALESMAN SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH VERANO UPON CHECKING THIS MORNING I HAVE FOUND MANY YEARS WITH THIS PROBLEM. *TR
