TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CADILLAC ESCALADE. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH THROUGH A PARKING LOT, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT IMPACT OR WARNING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT HAD TO CUT OUT THE AIR BAGS IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DROVE TO THE DEALER (FLOW CADILLAC, 1400 S STRATFORD RD, WINSTON SALEM, NC 27103) AND WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT ASSIST SINCE A CRASH WAS NOT INVOLVED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. IN THE INTERIM, THE DEALER PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH A LOANER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER SINCE JANUARY 25, 2018. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS) WAS REFERENCED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I DO NOT WANT THE VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE A CREDIT TOWARDS A NEW CADILLAC.
TAKATA RECALL - HAVE BEEN CONTACTING OUR DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES SINCE RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE REQUESTING NEW AIRBAGS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN RESPONDING THAT THE RECALL IS STILL NOT REQUIRED, THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS FIGHTING THE RECALL. WE HAVE EVEN STATED THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENTS AND GET A REIMBURSEMENT LATER. HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. ARE ON A WAITING LIST. SINCE WE WERE JUST WANTING OUR FREE REPLACEMENTS, WE WERE NOT TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE BANKRUPTCY. HAD IT ON OUR CALENDAR FOLLOW UP BEFORE 2018. CHECKED THE WEBSITE TODAY, TURNS OUT THE DEADLINE WAS THE 27TH OF DECEMBER. WE DON'T WANT TO BE IN A LAWSUIT. WE JUST WANT OUR CAR TO BE SAFE. WE EVEN ASKED THAT OUR AIRBAGS BE DISCONNECTED UNTIL THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND WERE TOLD THAT THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. ANY HELP POSSIBLE? THANK YOU.

TAKATA RECALL HAVE NO REPAIR AT THIS TIME
THE CADILLAC DEALER(S) SAY THEY CANNOT FIX THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE. THEY SAY THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM,.
TAKATA RECALL- I CALLED THE DEALERSHIPS AND THEY SAID THAT THERE IS NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL OF THE AIRBAGS.

TAKATA RECALL THE MESSAGE 'LOW OIL PRESSURE, STOP ENGINE' COMES ON WHEN EVER I AM AT A STANDSTILL TOO LONG. THE DEALERSHIP HAS SAID TO START WITH A NEW OIL PUMP AND GO FROM THERE, BUT I COULD NEED A NEW ENGINE. BASED ON A FORUM I FREQUENT ABOUT ESCALADES, IT SEEMS ESCALADE MODELS 2007-2011 ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. IF GM IS AWARE THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THESE SPECIFIC YEAR MODELS, MAYBE THEY NEED TO DO A RECALL.

THE AIRBAG IS NOT FUNCTIONAL, THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. THE SIDE MIRROR IS NOT FOLDING WITH THE REMOTE FOLDING BOTTOM. THIS IS HELPFUL WHEN PARKING IN A PARKING LOT WHERE THERE ARE MANY CARS. THE BODY COLOR IS COLLUDING.
"TAKATA RECALL" AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON, WENT THE DEALER AND I WAS TOLD AIRBAG NEEDED TO BE SERVICED AND WILL COST MONEY. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO FIX AN AIRBAG/SERVICE WHICH HAS NOT DEPLOYED?. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY WHEN AIRBAG FIRST CAME ON.
TAKATA RECALL TAKATA CORPORATION ('TAKATA') HAS DECIDED THAT A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY EXISTS IN CERTAIN 2007-2008 CADILLAC ESCALADES. THEY HAD UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2017. RECALL STATUS: INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I NEED MY AIRBAGS REPLACED.

THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION ON STREET AND ON FREEWAY, THE SPEED DROPS AND IT FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO CUT OFF. THE WINDOWS WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN, THE RADIO SHUTS OFF AND, ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 SEPARATE TIMES (TWICE THIS YEAR) DIFFERENT DATES. THERE SHOULD BE 3 PICTURES SHOWN OF THAT. -LAST WEEK THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START, THE BATTERY IS 1 YR. OLD- GOOD, THE RADIO WOULD NOT COME ON, INTERIOR LIGHTS ALL WORKED. TOWED TO A SHOP DIAGNOSTIC WAS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG MODULAR. THE AIRBAG LIGHT STILL WON'T GO OFF. -WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN 2015 THE SERVICE SUSPENSION ALERT WAS ON, THE DEALER (SUBURBAN CADILLAC IN STERLING HEIGHTS, MI) SAID "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW", THIS YEAR THERE THE TRUCK STARTED MAKING A BUZZING NOISE. EVERY MECHANIC DIAGNOSIS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. OF COURSE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT BEFORE IT STARTED.
TAKATA RECALL. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED DUE TO TAKATA AIRBAGS BEGINNING IN MAY 2016. THERE HAS BEEN NO RESOLUTION TO THE AIRBAG ISSUE AND IT IS NOW DECEMBER 10, 2016. MY CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH THESE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT RECENTLY AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT EVEN DEPLOY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE REPLACEMENT TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE BEING DRIVEN. TWICE WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER, INCLUDING POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, AS I WAS TRYING TO SAFELY GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME BACK ON, THE RADIO COMES ON AT TOP VOLUME, THE POWER COMES BACK ON. I HAVE HAD IT INTO AN AUTHORIZED CADILLAC DEALERSHIP. THEY HAD IT FOR OVER A WEEK AND COULD NEVER REPLICATE IT OR FIND THE ISSUE. THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED ON A SIDE STREET, NOT AS BAD AS THE HIGHWAY, BUT STILL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THIS IS CLEARLY AN ISSUE BECAUSE I HAVE READ OTHER REPORTS OF THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENING. THE ONE I READ WAS IN 2008 WHICH IS THE MODEL YEAR OF THIS CAR. FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS APPX LATE NOV 2015,, THEN AGAIN IN MARCH 2016, AND THIS LAST TIME ON JULY 17, 2016.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM GM IN JULY OF 2016. SINCE JULY 2016 I HAVE MADE 5 PHONE CALLS TO CADILLAC AND 6 CALLS TO LOCAL DEALER ABOUT THIS RECALL. ALWAYS RESPOND WITH NO PARTS YET. 3 YEARS AND NO PARTS. I AM DRIVING THIS CAR UNDER GREAT STRESS NOT KNOWING WHEN IT WILL EXPLODE. I CANNOT SELL THIS CAR. WHAT AM I TO DO?

WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST 5=6 YEARS THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE DEFECTIVE. AFTER MANY CALLS WITH THE SAME ANSWER WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. WE ARE TOLD THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT NO REMEDY. WE RECENTLY TRIED TO SELL THE CAR BUT SINCE IT HAD THE AIR BAG PROBLEM, THE VALUE WAS GREATLY IMPACTED. IT FEELS LIKE WE ARE DRIVING A TICKING TIME BOMB AND NO ONE AT CADILLAC OR GMC CARES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
