CONCERNS WITH THE PARKING BRAKE ON THE 2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER.***NO ANSWER REQUIRED***. *MR ALTHOUGH THE PARKING BRAKE WAS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE WAS IN NEUTRAL THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED. THE PARKING BRAKE HAS BEEN ADJUSTED THREE TIMES. *NM
A PERSON IN A VEHICLE THAT HAD BEEN BEHIND MY VEHICLE STOPPED ME AND INFORMED ME THAT I HAD NO BREAK LIGHTS. I CALLED GM MOTORS AND ASKED THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I HAD A PIECE OF PAPER STUFFED IN THE HAZARD SWITCH ON THE STEERING COLUMN SO MY BREAK LIGHTS WOULD WORK. I WAS TOLD BY GM THAT MY VEHICLE DID NOT FALL UNDER THE RECALL BY THE VIN NUMBER. *NM
CALLER STATED THAT VEHICLE WAS IN PARK WITH THE IGNITION OFF, AND ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER CALLER PARKED THE CAR, SOMEONE NOTIFIED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE AND BURNING HEAVILY. FIRE SEEMED TO BE CONFINED TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CALLER SPECULATED THAT THE FIRE BEGAN ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. BY THE TIME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SHOWED UP, THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF WATER.*AK
I HAD WARRANTY REPAIRS COMPLETED ON MY 2001 BLAZER IN NOVEMBER, 2005 THAT TOTALED AROUND $2200. I PAID A LARGE DEDUCTIBLE. THE WORK WAS DONE AT GOOD CHEVROLET IN RENTON, WA THE SEAT BELT SIMPLY STOPPED LATCHING SHORTLY AFTER MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY GM........ OBVIOUSLY CHEVROLET DID NOT COMPLETELY FIX ALL REPAIRS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. I NEED GM TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR EXPENSES FOR THE SEAT BELT, BECAUSE I'M DISABLED AND ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND COULD NEVER AFFORD TO HAVE A SEAT BELT REPAIRED. I HAD TO COORDINATE WITH MY DEALERSHIP FOR SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE REPAIRS COULD BEGIN...THIS ATE UP TIME THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL FOR FIXING THE SEAT BELT THE WARRANTY REPAIRS WERE DONE AT GOOD CHEVROLET IN RENTON. THE SEAT BELT COULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AT THE SAME TIME I HAVEN'T HAD ANY OTHER REPAIRS DONE OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY. ALL REPAIRS TO DATE WERE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY............. IF THE SEAT BELT HAD JUST WENT DEFECTIVE TWO OR THREE MONTHS AGO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED..............OR IF I HADN'T BEEN MADE TO WAIT FOR APPROVAL FOR REPAIRS FROM THE DEALERSHIP IF IT WEREN'T SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND SAFETY RELATED I WOULDN'T ASK FOR HELP!!!! 2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER REAR LEFT TAIL LIGHT DOES NOT WORK , CANGED BULBS CHANGES FUSES, BUT YET NOTHING HAPPENS, A FEW YEARS BACK I BROUGHT IT IN FOR A RECALL ON A TAIL LIGHT SWITCH THAT WAS RECALLED YET, IT SEEMS AS IF THE NEW PART MIGHT BE MALFUNCTIONING AGAIN
LEFT FRONT HUB BEARING BAD AT 52,401 MILES
BOTH THE BRAKE LIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS WERE INOPERABLE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, AND WAS NOTIFIED THAT THIS VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE HAZARD LIGHT NHTSA RECALL 01V364000. *AK
2 FRONT DOOR HINGE PIN-BUSHINGS AND 1 REAR DOOR HINGE PIN-BUSHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON THE CONSUMER'S 2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER. *BF THE VEHICLE'S BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE HINGE REPLACEMENTS. *NM
(1) WE OWN A 2001 BLAZER. IN THE PAST OUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN REAR ENDED TWICE, MY WIFE SUFFERED A NECK INJURY IN THE 1ST ACCIDENT. THE 2ND ACCIDENT JUST HAPPENED ABOUT A MONTH OR SO AGO. (2) 2-19-2005 I WAS FOLLOWING MY WIFE HOME ,AFTER HAVING MY OTHER VEHICLE SERVICED,AND NOTICED THE STOP LAMPS WERE NOT WORKING. I GOT ON THE INTERNET ,& FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2000--2002 BLAZERS WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM NHTSA RECALL 01V364/GM. (3) I CALLED GM AT 1-800-222-1020 GAVE THEM MY VIN NUMBER,THEY SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL .BUT I SHOULD TAKE TO VEHICLE TO A GM DEALER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ,HAVE THE MULTI-SWITCH REPAIRED,& THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR THE EXPENSES THEN ,THE FIRST PERSON I SPOKE WITH NEVER CALLED ME BACK AS THEY STATED THEY WOULD,I CALLED HIM BACK TWICE. AFTER NO RESPONSE I CALLED ,& SPOKE WITH ANOTHER PERSON , SHE WAS GOING TO CALL THE LOCATION I HAD THE MULTI-SWITCH REPLACED,& CALL ME BACK , HER CO-WORKER CALLED ME ,& TOLD ME SHE WAS IN A MEETING ,& I SHOULD CALL HER BACK. SINCE THEN I HAVE CALLED HER BACK 3 TIMES,JUST GOT HER VOICE MAIL ! STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM HER. I CAN NOT BELIEVE GM IS NOT TAKING THIS SAFETY PROBLEM SERIOUS!! MY WIFE,& CHILDREN COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT. IF OUR BLAZER IS NOT PART OF A RECALL THEN GM MUST BE TRYING TO HIDE THIS PROBLEM!. *AK
I HAVE A 2001 CHEVY BLAZER, 4 DR & 4 WHEEL DRIVE. AND AFTER ONLY 28,660 MI. ALL 4 FRONT & REAR ROTORS RUSTED OUT CAUSING THE REPLACEMENT OF ALL FRONT & REAR BRAKE PADS & ROTORS TO BE REPLACED.FOR ALL 4 ROTORS TO RUST OUT AT THE SAME TIME AND AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE REQUIRES ME TO COMPLAIN. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I COMPLAINED TO THE CHEVY DIVISION WITH NO RESULTS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, WHICH I THINK IS REDICULOUS. I OWNED CHEVIES MOST OF MY LIFE AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. I COULD SEE ONE OR TWO ROTORS GOING BAD BUT NOT 4 AT THE SAME TIME.ESPECIALLY RUSTING OUT.
WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE DRIVER SMELLED GASOLINE COMING FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND PULLED OVER AT A GAS STATION. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED FLUID LEAKING FROM THE FUEL LINE SYSTEM. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM
ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO A LACK OF LUBRICATION TO THE NUMBER 6 CYLINDER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITH ONLY 60K ON THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK HAD REGULAR OIL CHANGES AND THE OIL LEVEL WAS CHECKED EVERY 500 MILES. *JB
GETS A P0140 DTC SECONDARY AIR PUMP. AIR PUMP IS CORRODED AND SHAFT WON'T TURN. MAXIFUSE BLOWS. *JB
VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE HEATER. *AK
UNWANTED ABS ACTIVATION AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE DURING LOW-SPEED BREAKING ON MY S-10 2001 BLAZER. THE PROBLEM OCCURS NUMEROUS TIMES A DAY ON A DAILY BASIS. I HAVE ADJUSTED MY STOPPING PATTERN TO ALLOW FOR THE INITIATION OF THE UNWANTED ABS ACTIVATION. *NM
I OWN A 2001 CHEVROLET 2DR 2WHEEL DRIVE BLAZER. THE WHEEL BEARINGS AND SPINDLE / PARTS HAVE ALREADY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON BOTH SIDES/FRONT. I FOUND THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THE WHEEL OF MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE CAME OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THANKFULLY I HEARD THE GRINDING AND SLOWED MY SPEED TO 5-6 MPH AND HAD TURNED MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON. FROM WHAT I AM LEARNING THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT IS SOME WHAT COMMON WITH MY MAKE/MODEL VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO SEEM COMPLAINTS OF THIS NATURE ON CANADIAN AUTO CLUB SITES. *AK
VEHICLE SLIPPED WHILE TRAVELING ON ICE AT 55 MPH, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STRIKE A CONCRETE RETAINING WALL, AND IT ROLLED OVER. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.*AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT COLLISION AT 40 MPH DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER. *AK
2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO IGNITION SWITCH RECALL ISSUES ALSO AIRBAGS AND SEAT BELTS MALFUNCTION DURING ACCIDENT. *SMD THE CONSUMER AND HER SON WERE INVOLVED IN A ROLL OVER ACCIDENT. AS A RESULT, HER SON DIED. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY ANOTHER DRIVER THAT THE BRAKES LIGHTS WERE INOPERATIVE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE HAZARD SWITCH CARRIER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
VEHICLE STOPPED (AT 9:30P.M.) WHILE I WAS TURNING A CORNER. NO WARNING SIGNS/LIGHTS/INDICATORS. MECHANIC TOLD ME THE FUEL PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE FIRST FUEL PUMP OBTAINED WAS DEFECTIVE AND LEAKED. MECHANIC JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER FUEL PUMP - BACK ORDERED. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF A TEENAGER WHO IS SUPPOSED TO GET HER LICENSE NEXT MONTH. THIS IS THE ONLY CAR WE HAVE. SO, THE CONSEQUENCES HAVE BEEN DEVASTATING FINANCIALLY, MENTALLY, AND EMOTIONALLY...NOW IT IS CHRISTMAS EVE AND WE STILL DO NOT HAVE THE CAR BACK! THE FACT THAT THERE ARE OTHER REPORTS OF THIS SAME DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH FUEL PUMPS IN CHEVY BLAZERS IS QUITE DISTURBING. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH ANY OTHER MAKE OF VEHICLE (HONDA, TOYOTA, OLDSMOBILE, MERCEDESBENZ) IN THE 30 YEARS I'VE BEEN DRIVING! I HAVE WRITTEN TO CHEVROLET AND AM DEMANDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR PARTS AND LABOR. AM SELLING VEHICLE IN 2005 - WILL NOT HAVE MY TEENAGER DRIVING THIS CAR.*AK

CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP AND ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS COMING HEAD ON WHICH RESULTED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION. THERE WAS A VEHICLE BEHIND CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WHICH SHE WAS PUSHED INTO DUE TO THE HEAD ON COLLISION. HOWEVER, UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES. *AK
DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW POPS OUT, LETTING WATER GET INTO THE VEHICLE, WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT COULD CAUSE A POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHORT AND FIRE. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY OWNER.*AK
THE PARKING BRAKE FALLS TO THE FLOOR WHEN THE DRIVER PRESSES DOWN ON IT, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO MOVE SLIGHTLY. THE CONSUMER IS CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT SECURE, AND COULD CAUSE IT TO ROLL AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *AK THE PARKING BRAKES HAD TO BE ADJUSTED 3 TIMES IN 2 YEARS. THE BRAKE WOULD EVENTUALLY GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR BOARD AGAIN. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES THERE IS EITHER A DESIGN FLAW OR THE PARTS WERE DEFECTIVE AT THE TIME OF ASSEMBLY. *BF *NM THE LAST ADJUSTMENT, THE PARKING BRAKE WAS WITHIN ONE INCH OF THE FLOOR BOARD. *SC *JB
BATTERY LEAKS ACID ONTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AS A RESULT, WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, VEHICLE SHUT OFF. *AK
THERE WAS NO EVENTS LEADING UP TO THIS FAILURE... THE PROBLEM IS THE BODY FRAME AROUND THE STRIKER PLATE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, IS RIPPING APART. THIS VEHICLE IS 3 YEARS OLD, AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS NOT BEING CAUSED BY RUST. THIS IS A DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE.*AK
ALL DASH DISPLAYS LIGHT BRIEFLY 5-TIMES IN 1-WEEK. THEN, ALL ELECTRICAL FAILED AND BATTERY CABLES WERE BURNING.*AK
BRAKE ROTORS FLAKING AND REQUIRING REPLACEMENT WITH LESS THAN 32000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. WE OWN TWO GM PRODUCTS THAT HAVE HAD ALL ROTORS REPLACED BELOW 32000 MILES OF WEAR.*AK
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON US 23 SOUTH BOUND, A LADY IN FRONT OF ME SLAMMED ON HER BRAKES WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH. I SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING HER AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE FLIPPED AND I ENDED ON US 23 NORTHBOUND. MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. ALL FOUR OF MY TIRES EXPODED. NO ONE WAS KILLED.*AK
SOME IMES CAR WILL NOT START BATTERY TO 9 AMP ,BATTERY CHECKED OKAY ALTERNATOR CHECKED OKAY. CAR IN SHOP STARTED OKAY 4 OR 5 TIME 14 AMPS SET 30 MIE BATTERY TO 9 AMPS NO START CHECKED OVER CHARGED AND DO SAME THING. NOTHING LEFT ON. ALL ELECTRICAL CKECKED OKAY. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT PROPERLY FROM THE FIRST TO THE SECOND GEAR. ALSO, REVERSE IS NOT WORKING ANY MORE. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED.*AK
WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON WHEN THE DRIVER TURNED THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON HIGH SPEED. DEALER WAS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL. *AK *TC *JB
CONSUMER WAS HEARING A NOISE WHEN TURNING RIGHT. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO INDICATED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. *AK
OUR 2001 CHEVROLET BLAZE CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE PARKED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER BEING TURNED OFF. THE ENTIRE ENGINE AND FRONT END ARE SCORCHED. THE INTERIOR HAS SMOKE AND WATER DAMAGE. AT THIS TIME, WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM OUR INSURANCE ADJUSTER TO KNOW THE EXTENT - TOTALLED OR REPAIRABLE? THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER ONE WEEK PRIOR BECAUSE THE REAR TAILGATE WOULDN'T OPEN. THEY REPLACED THE ACTUATOR AND DON'T BELIEVE THEIR WORK WAS IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE FIRE. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM THE DEALER 10 MONTHS AGO - IT HAD 31,000 MILES ON IT AND WE ONLY PUT 5,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GM AND BELIEVE THAT THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE AND PAY OUT ON THE LOSS - NOT OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK

ENGINE LIGHT ON X 6 MONTH - 1 YEAR, SEVERAL MECHANICS UNABLE TO FIND A CAUSE 2 WEEKS AGO: DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, NEARING AN EXIT, TRANSMISSION START TO GO OUT. DROVE IT TO A GARAGE....WOULD NOT GO IINTO REVERSE. DROVE IT HOME....WILL NOT GO INTO GEAR AT ALL BY THE TIME I GOT THE CAR HOME. CAR TOWED TO ANOTHER GARAGE FOR REPAIR. VEHICLE IS 2001 CHEVY BLAZER WITH 78,000 ORIGINAL MILES. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND DAILY USE TO GO TO WORK AND DROP KIDS OFF AT SCHOOL. LAST SUMMER DROVE IT TO FLORIDA. NO PROBLEMS. I DON'T TOW ANYTHING NOR DO I DRIVE IT OFF-ROAD. LAST YEAR THE BOLTS OFF THE SUSPENSION AT TO BE REPLACED COSTING $1,000. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 53 MPH, THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK *SC
CONSUMER HEARD A NOISE IN THE FRONT OF VEHICLE. CONSUMER STATED HE HAD BEEN HEARING IT A LITTLE, BUT CURRENTLY THE NOISE BECAME MORE PRONOUNCED. CONSUMER HAD ALREADY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION ONCE. *AK THE CONSUMER HAD TO FILL THE TIRES EVERY WEEK. THE TIRES LEAKED AIR SINCE PURCHASE. THE TIRE SERVICE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT THERE WAS NO LEAK AND THAT CORROSION BUILT UP ON THE WHEELS IN WHICH AIR ESCAPED THROUGH THE RIM OF TIRES. THERE WAS A THUMPING NOISE IN THE FRONT END AND SEEMS LIKE IT HAPPENS WORST ON RIGHT TURNS, THE LEFT WHEEL BEARING WAS LOOSE IN THE HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY, THE HOOD HINGES RATTLING EXCESSIVE CLEARENCE, THERE WAS EXCESSIVE SLIPPAGE AND THE CLUTCH BURNT. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO HIT A CURB. CONSUMER HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO WORN OUT PARTS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
OUR 2001 CHEVY BLAZER REQUIRED BRAKE SERVICE WITH 44000 MILES. WE SELECTED TUFFY AUTO SERVICE CENTERS (WARREN, MI), OUR ESTIMATED COST WAS $180. DURING THE BRAKE SERVICE THE TUFFY SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED US THAT OUR REAR BRAKES WOULD REQUIRE REPLACEMENT, OUR COST FOR THE REAR WAS AN ADDITIONAL $280. THE SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED THAT THE REAR BRAKE DISC-ROTORS WERE HEAVILY CORRODED, SERVICE (ROTOR TURNING) WAS NOT AN OPTION AND REPLACEMENT REQUIRED. REAR BRAKE SERVICE AT 44000 MILES IS HIGHLY UNEXPECTED, FULL REPLACEMENT DUE TO CORROSION IS UNACCEPTABLE. OUR ASSESSMENT IS THAT THE DISC-ROTOR MATERIAL WAS NOT CORRECTLY SPECIFIED (AND/OR PERHAPS A GALVANIC CORROSION WITH ALUMINUM WHEELS/IRON HUBS), THE RESULTING EXCESSIVE CORROSION UNEXPECTED AND A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. *AK
THIS COMPLAINT COVER 2 OCCURRENCES, 1ST AUG. 19,2002 & THE LATEST OF MARCH 3, 2004. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY BOTH TIME WITH HER MOTHER, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ENGINE STALLS, AND WOULD NOT RESTART. HAVING TOWED IT TO THE STEWART DEALERSHIP IN COLMA, CA. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FUEL PUMP HAD GONE BAD BOTH TIMES. THE 1ST OCCURRENCE AT 32,090 MILES, THE 2ND AT 66,442 MILES. THE DEALERSHIP PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THE REASON FOR THE FIRST FAILURE, WAS THAT MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING TOO MUCH WITH LESS THAN 1/2 TANK OF GAS. THE REPAIR WAS MADE AFTER A DELAY TO GET THE PART WHICH WAS NOT IN STOCK IN CALIFORNIA. NOW THIS AFTERNOON I WAS INFORMED THAT THE REASON THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT AGAIN WAS BECAUSE THE FUEL FILTER WAS COMPLETELY PLUGGED UP. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP- 03/01/01- NOW JUST BARELY 3 YEARS OLD IT IS HAVING IT'S THIRD FUEL PUMP ON IT. THE FACT THAT IS OCCURRENCE HAS HAPPENED NOT JUST ONCE BUT TWICE WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY (LUCKILY DURING DAY LIGHT HOURS BOTH TIMES). *JB
WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON AND WENT OFF ON THEIR OWN. THE DEALER WAS AWARE OF THIS INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. *AK *SC *JB
DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY IN A CRASH THROUGH: 1. A SIX FOOT TALL WOODEN FENCE AT ALMOST 30MPH, THEN 2. THE EXTERIOR SIDE OF A 2-STORY HOME THAT CONTAINED THE KITCHEN SINK AND PLUMBING FIXTURES, WHILE SMASHING UP AND OVER THE FIFTEEN-INCH CONCRETE FOUNDATION, FRONT-END FIRST.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED CONSUMER CONTINUED TO HEAR A THUMPING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR AN EXAMINATION, AND DEALER DETERMINED THAT LOWER BALL JOINTS NEEDED REPLACEMENT. *AK *MR
PARKING BRAKE DOES NOT HOLD. ADJUSTMENTS MADE STARTING AT 20000 MILES AND THREE OTHER SERVICES. NOW AT 38000 MILES WE ARE TOLD THAT THE BRAKE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE BRAKE HAS NEVER HELD WELL AND NOW NOT AT ALL. I HAVE NOTED MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME EXPERIENCE IN ONLINE CHAT ROOMS. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM, GM IS AWARE OF IT AND IT IS DANGEROUS. *JB

ON FEB 4TH, 2004 THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SO I TOOK THE BLAZER TO THE DEALERSHIP(BERT GREENWALD) TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. I WAS TOLD THAT THE "AIR LINE & VALVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT'S NOW MAY 4TH, 2004 AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE PART TO COME IN. EACH TIME I INQUIRE ABOUT IT, I AM TOLD THAT GENERAL MOTORS DOESNT WANT THEM TO ORDER THE PART UNTIL THEY COME UP WITH A PLAN TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING VERY FREQUENTLY. I FEEL THAT 3 MONTHS IS TO LONG TO BE WAITING FOR FEEDBACK ON THIS EVEN THOUGH THE DEALERSHIP HAS SAID THEY NOT CHARGING ME TO REPLACE THE PART.*AK
