Hello, My name is Sharris Bridges, I’m the owner of a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. I currently can’t defrost my car and can’t see the road because I have no heat. The Chevrolet Camaro has a issue with the blend door (temperature control door). It’s a piece of plastic that breaks which causes you not to have any heat. I was told by the dealership I would’ve to get the dash and windshield taken out just to get the blend door fixed. The bill they showed me was $20+ (majority in labor) for a issue that plenty people are having with the Camaro. This should be a recall! I’ve no heat, I can’t defrost my car, and more. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K0jajaoc-ro https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s0gakV_mGiY https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Py-2ukNVAGs https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tL3CaKzVKm4 Consumer stated they’ll need to take out the windshield and dash to get to the area which needs fixing.
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS I HAVE BEEN BLINDED BY THE SUN BECAUSE OF THE USELESSNESS OF THE SMALL SUNVISOR. THIS HAS OCCURRED BOTH WITH FRONT VISIBILITY OR TRYING TO SHIELD EYES FROM THE SIDE WINDOW. MY PASSENGERS HAVE ALSO BEEN EFFECTED THE SAME WAY. THE VISORS ARE NOT DEEP OR LONG ENOUGH RESPECTIVELY TO BE OF ANY VALUE. THIS CONCERN IS MORE SEVERE WHEN EXPRESS WAY DRIVING OR IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, WHICH I HAVE RECENTLY ENCOUNTERED AND PROMPTED THIS REPORTING.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the defroster selector was inoperable, and the front and rear windshields could not be properly defrosted. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS ACTIVATED IN EXTREMELY HUMID WEATHER, THE ENTIRE FRONT EXTERIOR WINDSHIELD BECAME FOGGY DUE TO THE COLD AIR BLOWING FROM THE TOP DASHBOARD AIR VENT. THE AIR FLOW EMITTED FROM THE VENT WITHOUT THE DEFROSTER CONTROL SETTING ENGAGED. THE DEALER INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700. .... UPDATED 10-17-13 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE ISSUE APPEARED TO BE A DEFECT IN THE DESIGNED AIR CONTROL SYSTEM. UNDER THE CURRENT OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM, WHEN IN THE AIR CONDITIONING MODE WITH BI-LEVEL, OR FOOT LEVEL SELECTED, WHETHER USING RE-CIRCULATING AIR OR FRESH AIR, THE SYSTEM DELIVERED COLD AIR TO THE WINDSHIELD THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD VENTS. THE AIR CONDITIONED AIR COMING OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD VENTS CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO GET COLD. IN HIGH HUMIDITY , THIS CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO FOG UP ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
