2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO POWER STEERING RECALL NOTICE. *SMD THE CONSUMER HAS SINCE TRADED THE VEHICLE. *JB
I WOULD LIKE TO START A PETITION FOR AN INVESTIGATION ON THE REPLACEMENT PARTS BEING USED FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL AND THE SOFTWARE THEY USE TO RE-PROGRAM OR RE-LEARN THE COMPUTER IN THE VEHICLES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED. THE REASON I AM REQUESTING THIS IS BECAUSE MY MOMS 2005 CHEVY COBALT WAS TAKEN IN FOR THIS RECALL REPLACEMENT AND WAS RUNNING FINE WHEN WE BROUGHT IT IN. GOT A CALL THAT THE CAR WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP 7 HOURS LATER. A COUPLE DAYS LATER I'M DRIVING THE CAR AROUND IT STARTED TO RUN TERRIBLE. THE CAR IDLED ERRATICALLY AND IT WOULD STALL EVERY TIME I STOPPED. NOW THE CAR STARTS AND DRIVES AWHILE BUT IF I SHUT IT OFF AND THEN START IT AGAIN THE ENGINE LIGHT STARTS BLINKING,IT BOGS DOWN AND HAVE NO POWER WHEN I ACCELERATE. I CAN SMELL GAS BUT THERE ARE NO LEAKS AND I ONLY SMELL THE GAS WHEN THE CAR STARTS TO DO THIS. I HAVE BEEN ON THE GM RECALL UPDATE WEBSITE AND HAVE READ ABOUT SIMILAR STORIES TO MINE SAYING THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE PARTS OR THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THE RE-PROGRAMING. I THINK ONE OR BOTH OF THESE IS THE CAUSE OF MY PROBLEM. SO COULD YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ASAP BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THANK YOU
ON 6/22/14, I WAS COMING HOME FROM PHILADELPHIA AND WHILE ON THE BRUNSWICK HIGHWAY, MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT'S DASHBOARD LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE AND I LOST MY POWER STEERING, TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKES, ABS, ENGINE LOCK, DOOR LOCKS WERE CLICKING ON AND OFF AND I HAD TO PULL OVER 4 TIMES OFF THE HIGHWAY. MY ODOMETER DIDN'T WORK EITHER. THIS ALSO MADE MY TRANSMISSION JERK AND SLIP. IT WAS SO BAD THAT WHEN IT WAS SWITCHING GEARS, IT WAS MAKING MY ENTIRE CAR SHAKE. I WAS AFRAID FOR MY LIFE. I NEARLY CRASHED INTO A SEMI-TRUCK BECAUSE MY BRAKES AND POWER STEERING DIDN'T WORK. ALSO, I COULDN'T GO BELOW 65MPH ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. I MADE IT HOME BUT I WAS STILL SHOCKED AND SCARED. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT LOOKED AT. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE RECALL PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND WHAT THE MAIN CAUSE WAS. THEY SAID IT WASN'T IGNITION BUT SOME SORT OF COMPUTER GLITCH. ALL THEY DID WAS RESET THE COMPUTER AND RECOMMENDED ME TO BUY ANEW CAR BATTERY. I GOT THE NEW BATTERY AND EVERY WAS FINE.ON 7/714, THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN BUT WORSE. IT HAPPENED WHILE MY CAR WAS PARKED AND AGAIN THE DASHBOARD LIT UP. EVERYTHING WENT OFF AGAIN, I LOST MY POWER STEERING, TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKES, ABS, ENGINE LOCK, DOOR LOCKS WERE CLICKING ON AND OFF. IT TOOK ME 6 TIMES RESTARTING THE CAR FOR THE DASHBOARD TO BE CLEARED, AND THEN 5 MINUTES AGAIN, THE CAR CHIMED, AND I LOST MY POWER STEERING, TRACTION CONTROL, ABS AND THE ODOMETER DIDN'T WORK AGAIN. I NEARLY CRASHED AGAIN TOO. I TOOK IT AGAIN TO THE THE DEALERSHIP. ON 7/8/14, THEY TOLD ME THEY REPLACED THE RECALLED IGNITION SWITCH, BUT THEY STILL COULDN'T FIND THE ROOT OF THE CAUSE OF THE MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUE IN MY CAR. THEY DID SAY MY CAR ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE ON THE ROAD. THEY ASKED ME TO LEAVE IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM. *JS
ON JUNE 18, 2014 WHILE DRIVING 45 MILES PER HOUR I SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING IN THE VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE KEPT CUTTING OUT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF. I PULLED INTO A STORE PARKING LOT AND THE SHIFTER WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY WHEN TRYING TO GET IT INTO PARK. POWER STEERING LIGHT, ENGINE LIGHT AND SEVERAL OTHER LIGHTS APPEARED ON MY DASHBOARD. . I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 18, 2014 TO NOTIFY THEM OF MY POWER STEERING GOING OUT AND THE OTHER ISSUES DESCRIBED ABOVE. THEY TOLD ME PARTS WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I DID RECEIVE A CALL BACK THAT THEY DID IN FACT HAVE THE PART AND TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE ON JUNE 19, 2014. MY HUSBAND DROVE THE VEHICLE 35 MILES TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO POWER STEERING, THE ENGINE WANTED TO DIE EVERY TIME HE CAME TO A STOP AND ACTED ERRATICALLY THE WHOLE DRIVE THERE. ACCORDING TO THE INVOICE RECEIVED THE DEALERSHIP MILEAGE ON MY VEHICLE WAS 114, 340 AND THEY PERFORMED RECALL 10023 V220 REMOVED AND REPLACED POWER STEERING MOTOR WITH MOTOR KIT 1 19257875 MOTOR KIT. ON JUNE 20, 2014 THE CAR WAS DRIVEN 320 MILES. ON JUNE 21, 2014 I HAD NO POWER STEERING. ON JUNE 23, 2014 I HAD TO HAVE A WRECKER SERVICE TOW MY VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP.. ON JULY 18, 2014 I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE. ACCORDING TO THE INVOICE RECEIVED THE DEALER PERFORMED RECALL 13454 (F-CYLINDER KIT ), PERFORMED RECALL 14113 (REMOVED AND REPLACE IGNITION CYLINDER AND PROGRAMMED 2 NEW KEYS PER RECALL 14113). THE MILEAGE THEY SAY WAS ON MY VEHICLE ON THIS INVOICE DATED 7/18/14 WAS 114, 292. DON'T KNOW HOW MY MILEAGE WENT BACKWARDS??? ON JULY 28, 2014 DRIVING TO WORK AT 4:30 AM GOING 60 MPH MY POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON, THE ENGINE IS CUTTING OUT, THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP, THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE IS FLICKERING UNCONTROLLABLY AND I HAVE NO WHERE TO PULL OVER. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME POWER STEERING PROBLEM DUE TO GM RECALL. HELP!!! *TR
I WAS TRAVELING AT 40 MPH WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS LIT UP ON THE DASHBOARD. STEERING WAS EXTREMELY HARD, THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AND I PULLED INTO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. AFTER SEVERAL TIMES RESTARTING THE CAR, THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING AGAIN. *JS

THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED DURING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,951.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY LOCKS STARTED POPPING IN AND OUT, MY CAR STARTED STALLING OUT AND LOSING POWER, AND THE POWER STEERING WAS GOING ON AND OFF. I TOOK IT IN TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH. I JUST RECEIVED MY CAR BACK AFTER IT WAS FIXED AND THE SAME PROBLEMS ARE OCCURRING STILL. I WAS GOING 60 MPH WHEN MY CAR COMPLETELY LOST POWER. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN OTHER TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM WITH STILL NO RESOLUTION. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 114,000.

AFTER THE CONSUMER RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE 5-6 MILES, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AGAIN. APPARENTLY, THE BATTERY FAILED. *JB
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ACROSS THE DASH. THE WHEEL STARTED LOCKING UP AND I HEARD A CLICKING NOISE DOWN NEAR THE SHIFTER. ALSO THE SPEEDOMETER KEPT JUMPING BACK AND FORTH AS I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAD TO STOP AND PULL OVER. I SHUT MY CAR OFF AND WAITED FOR A MINUTE. I STARTED THE CAR AND TOOK OFF DOWN THE ROAD. AS I PULLED AWAY IT STARTED CHUGGING A LITTLE LIKE IT WAS TRYING TO JUMP SPEEDS?.. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STILL TIGHT AND IT CONTINUED UNTIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION. WHEN I WOULD STOP AT A RED LIGHT IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO MAKE MY TURNS. WHEN I FINALLY REACHED MY DESTINATION I SHUT MY CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR AWHILE AND IT STOPPED DOING IT. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME. THAT WAS IN MAY OF 2014 AND IT HAS HAPPENED A HANDFUL OF TIMES SINCE THEN WHILE MY TWO YOUNG CHILDREN WERE IN THE CAR. IM JUST NOW LEARNING OF A POWER STEERING RECALL ON '05 CHEVY COBALT MODELS. WHEN SHE CALLED THE DEALER, THE TOLD HER TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL UP AND DOWN AND TAP ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THERE WERE TIMES THROUGH OUT THE YEARS, WHERE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. ALSO, THE VEHICLE WOULD PULL TO THE LEFT, THE OIL PAN WAS LEAKING, THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED, THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL WAS INOPERABLE, AND THE OXYGEN SENSOR WAS REPLACED. *JB

THERE WAS A RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), HOWEVER THE REMEDY PART WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 189,000.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 57MPH THE POWER STEERING SIGN CAME ON AND A NOISE THEN I SUDDEN LOST POWER STEERING. I SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER AND CUT OFF. I THEN CUT THE CAR BACK ON AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT WENT OFF. THEN I DROVE ON AND THEN THE POWER STEERING WENT BACK OUT. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WERE I GOT IT FROM AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO. THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT GMC DEALER COMPANY. GMC TOLD ME THEY COULD FIX IT BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT MY POCKET. *JS
RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT OUT BY GM IN MARCH, 2014 STATING OUR CARS NEED TO BE FIXED BUT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE BUT, ALL OWNERS WILL BE GETTING AN ADDITIONAL LETTER IN APRIL TO INFORM US TO CALL OUR LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE OUR CARS FIXED. FINALLY WE DID GET OUR LETTERS ON 4-21-14 AND CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE MY RECALL FIX AND WAS TOLD "CHEVY DID NOT SEND US ANY PARTS YET." *TR

I HAVE RECEIVED (BOTH) RECALL WORK DONE ON MY 05 COBALT, AND YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 55-60MPH FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I GOT MY CAR BACK LAST FRIDAY. I LOST POWER STEERING AND MY CAR WOULD NO LONGER SHIFT TO INCREASE ITS SPEED. IT FELT LIKE I WAS IN NEUTRAL GEAR AS THE RPMS WERE IN THE 5000-6000 RANGE YET I WAS STILL AT A SPEED OF APPRX 55MPH, AS I ATTEMPTED TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER I RECOGNIZED I DID NOT HAVE POWER STEERING, AND THE LIGHT ON MY DASH QUICKLY WENT OFF AND THEN CAME BACK, ALONG WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. AFTER FINDING OUT WHAT THE ENGINE CODES WERE VIA AUTOZONE, I WAS TOLD MY TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE HAD FAILED, HENCE WHY MY TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO THIRD GEAR. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR AROUND MORE THAT AFTERNOON, IT CONTINUED TO HAPPEN AT THE HIGH SPEED LEVELS, AND AGAIN THE POWER STEERING FAILED. I BROUGHT IT UP TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP THAT PERFORMED THE WORK, YET THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED AT 7PM. THE SALE GUY TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT THIS RECALL WOULD NOT AFFECT ANYTHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION, YET MULTIPLE MECHANICS HAVE TOLD ME THAT IF THE NEW PIECE WAS NOT PROGRAMMED PROPERLY WITH MY ECM, THEN ITS POSSIBLE THAT THIS IS AFFECTING MY VEHICLE. I AM GOING TO TRY AND BRING MY CAR BACK IN TONIGHT AFTER WORK, OR HOPEFULLY TOMORROW. I HAVE ALREADY CALL GENERAL MOTORS AND REPORTED THE SAME INCIDENT, BECAUSE THERE IS A RUMOR GOING ONLINE THAT THE NEW IGNITION SWITCH MAY HAVE A "SHORT" IN IT. BUT I DO NOT WANT TO CONFIRM THAT. *TR

THE RECALLS REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED BUT THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND ABS SENSOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO MANEUVER AND EACH TIME THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES IT MADE A LOUD NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION, DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. THE TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT AUTHORIZATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER WAS REQUIRED. MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT TODAY AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND TURN VEHICLE OFF FOR ABOUT 10 MINS AND THEN RESTART. AFTER RESTART, THE WARNING MESSAGE CLEARED FROM THE DIC AND MY STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL. WHEN I REACHED MY DRIVEWAY, POWER STEERING AGAIN WENT OUT AND I ALMOST WENT IN THE DITCH. POWER STEERING SEEMS TO BE FAILING INTERMITTENTLY SINCE IT FAILED ON ME 3 TIMES TODAY. I NOTICED THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2010 CHEVROLET COBALTS FOR THE STEERING FAILURE BUT NOT ON ANY OTHER YEAR INCLUDING THE 2005. RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO ALL YEARS OF THE COBALTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE NOT JUST ONE YEAR. NEXT TIME I MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY WHEN MY POWER STEERING FAILS. I WANTED TO EXPRESS MY FRUSTRATION OVER THE GM RECALL REGARDING MY CAR. UPON RECEIPT OF THE NOTICE OF THE RECALL, I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER. THEY HAD NO INFORMATION ON WHEN NEW PARTS MIGHT BE AVAILABLE. I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK AND DID SO WEEKLY UNTIL THEY FINALLY SAID THEY COULD ORDER THE RECALLED PART. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT IT WOULD TAKE AT LEAST ANOTHER MONTH FOR THE PART TO COME IN. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN GM'S LACK OF URGENCY AND BLATANT DISREGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF CONSUMERS. I HAVE BEEN VERY PROACTIVE IN THIS PROCESS AND YET HAVE BEEN CONTINUALLY DELAYED IN GETTING MY CAR REPAIRED. THERE IS NO ACCIDENT INCIDENT IN THIS REPORT. I DID RECEIVE THE COBALT NOTICE ABOUT THE "KEY IN THE IGNITION SWITCH MAY MOVE OUT OF THE 'RUN' POSITION" LETTER AND I FEEL I SHOULD REPORT ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT MAY ALSO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY ADVERSE IMPACT OF THE CONDITION I AM ABOUT TO DESCRIBE BELOW. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE AN ISSUE FOR OTHERS AND THAT HOPEFULLY MAY BE FIXED BY THE LATEST COBALT IGNITION SWITCH RECALL. FOR A COUPLE YEARS I HAVE NOTICED THAT AFTER I START THE COBALT AND LET THE KEY MOVE BACK TO THE RUN POSITION THAT I CAN REMOVE THE KEY COMPLETELY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH AND PUT THE KEY IN MY POCKET AND THE CAR CONTINUES TO RUN. I HAVE ONLY DONE THIS WHILE THE CAR IS NOT MOVING. I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT LOCK UP IN THIS CASE, SO THEORETICALLY I COULD DRIVE AND STEER THE CAR WHILE IT IS MOVING ON THE ROAD WITHOUT A PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I DON'T WANT TO TEST THAT POSSIBILITY, BECAUSE THE THOUGHT IS SCARY. SO IF THIS INFORMATION CAN HELP OTHERS AVOID AN ACCIDENT WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCHED IS REPLACED, THIS REPORT WILL BE WORTHWHILE. I AM NOW DRIVING THE COBALT WITHOUT ANY ATTACHMENTS TO THE IGNITION KEY AND AM WAITING TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR THE IGNITION AND POWER STEERING RECALL. I AM EXPECTING THAT THE REPLACEMENT IGNITION SWITCH WILL ALSO FIX THE PROBLEM OF BEING ABLE TO REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY IN THE SWITCH WHEN IT WAS IN THE IN THE RUN POSITION. THE CONTACT OCCASIONALLY HAD DIFFICULTY GETTING THE VEHICLE TO START AND HAD TO MAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WITH THE KEY. HE HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE VEHICLE COOLED DOWN ALMOST TWO HOURS AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE VERY SLOWLY TO HIS RESIDENCE. HE ADVISED THEM IN 2005 THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH HIS IGNITION AFTER HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JULY 2005. THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN NOVEMBER OF 2005. THE DEALER DROVE 20 MPH TO TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ADVISED THEM THAT HE WAS DRIVING 65 MPH WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. HE CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE ANTI FREEZE CONTINUED TO LEAK OUT OF THE VEHICLE. HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE STRUTS, BUSHINGS, TIMING CHAIN, LINK AND THE WATER PUMP WAS LEAKING BECAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED AT A DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD TAKE 20 DAYS TO A MONTH BEFORE THE MANUFACTURER COULD SEND SOMEONE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT HIS RESIDENCE. THE DEALER NOTIFIED HIM TODAY TO ASK IF THE MANUFACTURER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AND DIAGNOSED ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS OVER 120,000 MILES.

WHILE TRAVELING AT 35MPH ON A CITY STREET, I HIT A POTHOLE AND THE CAR SHUT OFF AND THE KEY FELL OUT. I LOST ALL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HIT A LIGHT POST CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE CAR. THIS ALSO HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR HAD 18,000 MILES WHILE TRAVELING AT 75 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. THE IGNITION SHUT OFF AND I WAS ABLE TO REINSERT THE KEY AND REGAIN CONTROL OF THE CAR. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY AND THEY ACCUSED ME OF ABUSE.
