WHILE DRIVING ALL THE LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL ALL LIGHT UP THEN THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT HARD. THE CAR WILL NOT CRANK AT TIMES AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS ITS A GUARANTEE THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT HARD. THE EVAP SENSOR IS FAULTING BECAUSE WHEN I PUT FUEL IN THE VEHICLE SEEMS LIKE IT DOES NOT WANT TO CRANK. THE EVAP PROBLEM DOES NOT SEEM TO BE RELATED TO A POSSIBLE COMPUTER MALFUNCTION. WE HAVE HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED BY A LOCAL LICENSED MECHANIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS SEATED IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO START INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERNAL LIGHTING FLASHED ON AND OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO START INDEPENDENTLY UNTIL THE BATTERY WAS DEPLETED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE BATTERY WAS RECHARGED. CLASSIC CHEVROLET OF LAKE CITY (6190 W BLUE RD, LAKE CITY, MI 49651, (888) 580-3758) WAS CALLED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
I WAS DRIVING TO RUN ERRANDS AND I PARKED. WHEN I WAS TRYING TO BACKUP AND DRIVE AGAIN, I HAD SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL. I ALMOST CRASHED INTO A CAR NEAR ME SINCE I COULD NOT MANEUVER THE STEERING WHEEL IN A WAY TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. LUCKILY AFTER THIS HAPPENED SOMEONE RECOMMENDED ME TO TURN OFF THE CAR AND TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AGAIN TO SEE IF THE STEERING WOULD RETURN TO NORMAL. FORTUNATELY, I WASN'T IN A BUSY STREET WHEN THIS HAPPENED OTHERWISE I COULD HAVE BEEN IN A SERIOUS WRECK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LEAK UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE COMING FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS DAMAGED BY A PART FROM THE TRUNK ASSEMBLY RUBBING ON THE FUEL LINE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT VEERED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, EXITED THE VEHICLE, AND NOTICED FUEL LEAKING. THE CONTACT DROVE HOME AND CALLED HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO WALLY EDGAR CHEVROLET (3805 S LAPEER RD, ORION CHARTER TOWNSHIP, MI 48360, (248) 494-8698). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-562-0828774. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 117,000.
I HAVE A SERVES AIRBAG LIGHT ON IT COMES AND GOES AS I DRIVE DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER HIGHWAY OR IN CITY. EVEN IF I HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT. FROM MY RESEARCH IT'S A KNOW ISSUE WITH CHEVY COBALT FOR THE SENSOR IN THE SEAT OR THE SEAT BELT WIRING HARNESS TO SHORT OUT I DON'T KNOW WHY IT HASN'T BEEN RECALLED YET MY CAR HAS 89.000 MILES ON IT BUT SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD IT GO BAD AS SOON AS 35.000 NOW THIS IS AN SAFETY ISSUE THAT GM REFUSES TO ADDRESS I HAVEN'T SEEN MY MECHANIC YET BUT I'M SURE ITS GOING TO BE THE SEAT BELT HARNESS THAT NEEDS REPLACING THE DEALERS WANTS 500.00 OR MORE TO FIX THE ISSUE THAT SHOULD OF BEEN RECALLED
POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING AS OF 10/20/2019.
HAVE A LEAK ON MY FUEL LINE ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. SEE MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT IT.. FUEL IS DRIPPING ON THE GROUND. THIS IS A HUGE FIRE HAZARD WAITING TO HAPPEN

THERE IS A VERY STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE COMING FROM INSIDE AND OUT OF MY VEHICLE WHEN PARKED AND ENGINE IS OFF/ON AND WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE SMELL HAS MADE MY CHILDREN NAUTIOUS AND GIVEN US HEADACHES. AND AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I'M SEEING VERY SIMILAR CASES WITH THE COBALTS OF OTHER YEARS THAT ARE BEING RECALLED BUT MINE IS NOT. I BELEIVE IT IS THE SAME ISSUE AS THE 2009 COBALTS ASWELL AS THE SATURN IONS.

THE MANUFACTURER ALSO CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND ALSO COULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER TO THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
WE OWN A 2008 CHEVY COBALT. UPON TURNING THE IGNITION KEY, IN THE IGNITION OF THE VEHICLE, IT FAILS TO START. THERE ARE NO WARNING INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND VEHICLE IS IN PARK. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOOKED AT PORTER'S CHEVROLET, 414 E CLEVELAND AVE. NEWARK, DE 19711. 302 453 6800 SEVERAL TIMES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A RESOLUTION.
SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON AFTER CAR WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT IN GARAGE. AFTER CAR WAS DRIVEN 7 MILES AND ENGINE TURNED OFF, LIGHTS DID NOT COME ON. THE NEXT DAY, SAME PROCESS REPEATED.
SMELLED GAS WHILE RUNNING, DRIVING, & AFTER TURNED OFF, HAS FUEL LEAK. FUEL LINE ERODED WHERE THEY INSULATED THE METAL LINE!
INCREASINGLY THE VEHICLE IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THE LIGHTING IS NOT CONSISTENT AND THE SMALLEST ADDITION OF EXTRA FEATURES REQUIRING POWER (EX: USING ONE OR MORE WINDOW CONTROLS, HEATER AND OR DEFOGGER, LIGHTING IN DASH AT FULL CAPACITY, MUSICAL PERFORMANCE, RADIO AND BASS, ETC) WILL CAUSE THE POWER OF EXISTING DEVICES TO FLUTTER OR SURGE FOR EXAMPLE THE HEADLIGHTS WILL DIM OUT WHEN TURNING THE WINDOWS DOWN OR THE VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE EVEN MORE ALMOST AS THOUGH IT IS OVERPOWERING AND WANTING TO SHUT DOWN OR QUIT. ALSO THE RPMS WILL FEEL LIKE THEY ARE HICCUPING OR BOUNCING DOWN AND UP MORE THAN USUAL AND AT RANDOM TIMES AND SPEEDS AT TIMES SEEMS LIKE ITS GOING TO RED LINE EVEN IF YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS. THIS IS ALSO A BIT OF THE SAME TYPE OF ISSUE BUT IT IS THE OPPOSITE WHEN YOU PUSH THE GAS IT HESITATES OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT GLITCHES OR JOLTS AND GAINS POWER VERY SLOWLY AND HAS A HARD TIME ACCELERATING AND GAINING SPEED (SEEMS GUTLESS?) . AND AT STOP LIGHTS AND WHENEVER PARKED ITS RUMBLES AND SHAKES ALL TOGETHER LET ALONE IF YOU ARE USING THE RADIO OR HEAT ETC IT'S LOUD ENOUGH TO HAVE TO GET THE PEOPLE IN VEHICLE TO ALMOST YELL WHEN TALKING OVER IT OR IF YOU ARE IN A DRIVE THROUGH THE PERSON CAN'T HEAR YOU AND EITHER HAVE TO STUT OFF THE ENGINE OR SPEAK TO THEM IN PERSON AT THE NEXT WINDOW. ALSO WHEN YOU ARE SLOWING DOWN TO STOP IT ALMOST SEEMS THE ENGINE WILL BE FASTER THAN THE BODY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT (I KNOW SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT ANY OTHER WAY) . I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT WILL BE FUEL AND OR ELECTRICITY RELATED OR BOTH. ITS ALSO RANDOMLY SHOWING A FEW DIFFERENT CODES AND THEN SUDDENLY THEY GO AWAY ALL TO DO WITH FUEL PRESSURE OR SYSTER OR EVAP TYPE THING. WITHOUT CLEARING THEM THEY RESOLVE THEMSELVES WITHOUT ANY WORK OR ANYTHING WITCH ALSO SEEMS VERY ODDTO ME. THANKYOU IN ADVANCE FOR READING.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE CAR IS LEAKING FUEL, IT FIRST CAME TO NOTICE WHEN PARKED IN MY GARAGE, THE ODOR OF FUEL WAS SO STRONG I WAS AFRAID TO OPEN THE GARAGE DOOR OR START THE CAR FOR FEAR OF A SPARK STARTING A FIRE AND BURNING MY HOUSE DOWN! THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE FUEL LINES ARE CORRODED AND LEAKING. I AM SHOCKED THAT SUCH A CRITICAL COMPONENT IS MADE OF MATERIALS THAT COULD EVER BE COMPROMISED DURING ORDINARY USE, ESPECIALLY WHEN LEAKING GASOLINE IS SUCH AN OBVIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JERRY'S CHEVROLET (1940 E JOPPA RD, BALTIMORE, MD 21234) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE PERFORMED AS DESIGNED AND THE REPAIRS HAD TO BE PAID BY THE CONTACT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
FUEL TANK LEAK AFTER A SHORT DRIVING TRIP. I SAW AN NHTSA CASE OR COMPLAINT # 12V45900 THAT OTHERS WITH SIMILAR GM VEHICLES (COBALT, ION, G5) HAD SAME PROBLEM. WHEN I CALLED A LOCAL DEALER THEY SAID NO OPEN RECALLS. ALSO CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND THEY SAI NO OPEN RECALLS AND SAID IT WAS A CUSTOMER REPAIR ISSUE.
RUSTED FUEL LINE LEAKING GAS. DRIVER SIDE BY BETWEEN DOORS. I SMELLED GAS WHEN I GET IN IT AND START IT UP. JUST STARTED TOOK IT TO GARAGE THEY SHOWED ME THE RUSTED LINE AND SAID THEY NEED REPLACE. CAR HAS 86,000 MILES ON IT.
I WAS DRIVING. THE POWER STEERING WARNING CAME ON THE DASH. THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT. I DROVE HOME.
MY COBALT HAS A STRONG GAS ODOR COMING FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES. THERE IS AN OBVIOUS LEAK AT THE BACK OF THE TANK WHERE THE FILLER HOSE ATTACHES TO THE TANK. A FUEL PUDDLE IS PRESENT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO TURN INTO HIS DRIVEWAY; HOWEVER, THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A POSSIBLE RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING). THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
FUEL LINE NEAR DRIVER REAR TIRE LEAKS. I SAW AN ARTICLE ONLINE ABOUT THIS ISSUE BEGINNING TO POP UP. MINE STARTED LEAKING ENOUGH TO CAUSE DRIVING ISSUES. TEMP FIX, JUST PUT A RUBBER FUEL HOSE ON WITH CLAMPS. TO POOR TO FIX AN ISSUE LIKE THIS, IT'S NOT CHEAP.
THE BATTERY OF THIS VEHICLE, AND EVEN NEW ONES FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER, HAVE THE BATTERY INSTALLED IN THE TRUNK FROM THE FACTORY. THERE'S A BRITTLE PLASTIC TUBE THAT VENTS THE TOXIC FUMES GENERATED BY AN OPERATING BATTERY TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. IF THIS TUBE IS DAMAGED/BROKEN, IT ALLOWS FUMES TO ENTER THE TRUNK, AND SEEP INTO THE CABIN. THE FUMES CORRODE YOUR LUNGS, WHICH IN SOME CASES, SUCH AS MINE, LEADS TO HYPOXIA, MEANING THAT THE OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE IS DIZZY & CONFUSED. THIS ISSUE NOT ONLY AFFECTS THE OWNERS/OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLES WITH THIS DESIGN, BUT COULD POTENTIALLY ENDANGER UNSUSPECTING PEDESTRIANS/MOTORISTS DUE TO THE OPERATOR OF A VEHICLE BECOMING INCAPACITATED, OR THEY MAY SIMPLY BLACK OUT AT THE WHEEL DUE TO A LACK OF OXYGEN TO THE BRAIN. THE FUMES ARE ALLOWED TO BUILD UP IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR IF THE WINDOWS ARE LEFT UP AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IS ON RECIRCULATE. THE FUMES ARE ODORLESS MEANING THAT YOU CAN GO ABOUT OPERATING THE VEHICLE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME WITHOUT NOTICING THAT THERE'S A PROBLEM, NOT THAT IT WOULD MATTER SINCE THE FUMES CORRODE THE NERVE IN YOUR NOSE THAT ALLOW YOU TO HAVE A SENSE OF SMELL. THE SYMPTOMS ARE FLU LIKE, WHICH MAY LEAD A VICTIM TO IGNORE THEIR SYMPTOMS. IN MY PARTICULAR INSTANCE, THE FUMES THAT WERE ENTERING THE CABIN OF MY CAR WAS SULFURIC ACID. THIS DESIGN FLAW COULD EASILY LEAD TO DEATH, IF NOT FROM THE HIGHLY TOXIC, CARCINOGENIC FUMES THAT ARE ENTERING THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, THEN THE CONFUSION/DIZZINESS THAT THE FUMES LEAD TO, WHICH NOT ONLY ENDANGERS THE OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE, BUT UNSUSPECTING PEDESTRIANS/MOTORISTS WHO MAY BE IN THE PATH OF A VEHICLE WITH AN OPERATOR WHO HAS BLACKED OUT, OR IS SIMPLY CONFUSED/DIZZY DUE TO A LACK OF OXYGEN TO THE BRAIN. THE PART NUMBER OF THE TUBE FOR MY SPECIFIC CAR IS 15247277. TRUNK BATTERIES SHOULD BE OUTLAWED UNLESS AFTERMARKET.
THE GAUGES ON THE DASH GO HAYWIRE. A SUBTLE 'DING DING' SOUND IS MADE. THE ENGINE HAS DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING AND WILL ONLY DO SO IN SPURTS. A POWER STEERING WARNING IS DISPLAYED ON THE DASH AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECOMES VERY TIGHT AND IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN. CAR WILL GIVE YOU ABOUT A MINUTE, TOPS, TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN COMPLETELY. ISSUE HAPPENS RANDOMLY BUT SEEMS TO BE TRIGGERED BY THE CAR DECELERATING INTO FIRST GEAR, AT A STOPLIGHT FOR EXAMPLE. HOWEVER, THIS PAST INCIDENT HAPPENED WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE AND NEARLY CAUSED A COLLISION WITH A SEMI. MY PARTICULAR VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING RECALL INVOLVING CHEVROLET COBALTS, GENERAL MOTORS RECALL NUMBER:10023 AND NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 10V073000. HOWEVER, BASED ON PERFORMANCE THE PAST 6 MONTHS, I SINCERELY BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE. *TR
I HAVE A 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT I PURCHASED FROM A DEALERSHIP 11 MONTHS AGO. 3 DAYS AGO I GET IN MY CAR, START IT UP AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I GOT A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE. I GOT OUT, LOOKED UNDER MY CAR AND GAS IS POURING OUT FROM UNDERNEATH MY CAR. I'VE READ VERY MANY COMPLAINTS JUST LIKE MINE ON 2005-2009 CHEVROLET COBALT'S. IF ALL THESE COBALT'S HAVE THE SAME SAFETY ISSUES THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE'S CAR GOES UP IN FLAMES AND KILLS ONE OR MORE PEOPLE. MY CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, AS SOON AS I TURNED THE KEY I COULD SMELL GAS.
CAN SMELL GAS WHEN YOU STOP THE CAR . YOU CAN SMELL IT REALLY BAD WHEN YOU EXIT THE CAR. THE GAS LEAK IS RIGHT OVER TOP OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE. IT IS EVIDENTLY LEAKING WHEN THE CAR IS ON THE ROAD BUT WITH THE CAR IN MOTION YOU DO NOT SMELL THE GAS UNTIL YOU STOP!

AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE VEERED INTO THE LEFT LANE, FLIPPED OVER, ROLLED FIVE TIMES, AND CRASHED INTO THE SHOULDER SPACING. THE CONTACT WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE AND LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT THE CONTACT HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF THE DEPLOYMENT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISES, HEADACHES, BACK AND NECK PAIN, AND MUSCLE SPASMS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE TOTALED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE CAUSE OF THE STEERING FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

MY 18-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER HAD A DEFECTIVE IGNITION SWITCH IN HER VEHICLE CAUSING HER TO LOSE CONTROL OF HER VEHICLE AND CRASH INTO A DITCH ON TODAY 11/29/2018 WE CHECK THE RECALL LIST BEFORE WE PURCHASED HER VEHICLE AND IT WAS LISTED AS SAFE.

I WAS AT WORK AND PARKED MY CAR LIKE NORMAL, SOMEONE CAME AND ASKED ME IF THAT WAS MY CAR THAT WAS PARKED CRAZY. I LOOKED OUT AND IT WAS. MY CAR ROLLED OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT WITH THE E-BRAKE ON. ANOTHER TIME I STARTED IT TO WARM IT UP IN THE MORNING, I CAME BACK OUT, IT ROLLED OUT OF MY SPOT AND HIT THE CURB. I LOOKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT THERE IS NOT. I DID FIND MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUES!!!

THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING) IN 2014 AND THEY WERE ONLY MANDATED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE ONCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000.
"TAKATA RECALL", GAS TANK, FUEL PUMP WAS UNDER WARRANTY BUT FUEL LINE BETWEEN ENGINE AND GAS TANK WAS NOT. SEVERAL REPORTS ON INTERNET AND YOU TUBE SHOW ISSUES UNDER THE VEHICLE JUST PAST DRIVERS DOOR MID SECTION. OVER 400 TO FIX ON FIXED INCOME, WITH THUS BEING A GAS LEAK AND THE LINES NOT HAVING A COVERING WAS A HAZARD IN AN ACCIDENT AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM.
ON NOV. 7, AS I WAS CUTTING THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT TO PARK, I LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING WITHOUT REASON. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TRIED TO SEE IF I TURN THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT WOULD IT TURN THE WHEELS TO THE LEFT AND STILL NOT STEERING GUIDED THE WHEELS. THE WHEELS REMAINED LOCKED IN ONE POSITION...THE POSITION I LAST GUIDED THE STEERING WHEEL BEFORE IT GAVE OUT. THIS IS ALMOST ATLEAST $1200 DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK. I NEED TO JUST GET THIS RECALL DONE THERE IS TOO MANY OTHER CARS WITH THE SAME POWER STEERING ISSUE. WHAT IS THIS HAPPENED TO ME CHANGING LANES ON THE INTERSTATE THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN REALLY BAD!
LEAKING GASOLINE. CHEVROLET WILL NOT COVER GAS LINES UNDER THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY, HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIPS WANT $650+ TO REPLACE THE LINES. CHEVROLET WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WARNINGS, AND WOULD RATHER EXPLAIN HOW UNSAFE IT IS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE FUEL LINES ARE NOT COVERED AND LEAKING PROFUSELY.
STRONG ODOR OF GAS WHILE VEHICLE IS RUNNING AND PARKED. NO VISIBLE LEAK. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE STATED IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL OR SPECIAL COVERAGE 12191B: SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT FUEL ODOR OR SPOTTING ON GROUND REPLACE FUEL PUMP MODULE (JUL 8, 2015) EVEN THOUGH VEHICLE EXHIBITS SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL/SPECIAL COVERAGE. GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND WILL NOT EXTEND THE COVERAGE TO OTHER STATES WITH KNOWN PROBLEMS. THIS IS A HIGHLY UNSAFE DEFECT. GM MUST FEEL THE COST OF WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUITS ARE MORE COST EFFECTIVE THAN DOING THE RIGHT THING AND REPAIRING THESE DEFECTS.
TWICE (10/6/18 AND 10/21/18) WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR HAS SUDDENLY AND COMPLETELY LOST POWER STEERING. I TOOK IT TO A NON-DEALER WHO SAYS THERE IS A POSSIBLE RECALL (10V073000), BUT WHEN I CALLED CHEVROLET THEY SAID MY CAR DOES NOT HAVE ANY RECALLS. I DON'T KNOW IF MY SPECIFIC CAR WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL OR IF IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT.
SUDDENLY WILL NOT START. WENT INSIDE THE STORE AND WHEN I CAME BACK OUT IT WOULDNT START.
