TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. IN DECEMBER OF 2006, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V139000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH). MOST RECENTLY, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT TURN OFF AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. ON OCTOBER 31, 2008, HE WAS INFORMED BY ANOTHER MOTORIST THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS ALSO WERE NOT WORKING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY DID NOT REPAIR VEHICLES FOR THE SAME RECALL MORE THAN ONCE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,008 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,990.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. HE HAD TO KICK THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IN ORDER FOR IT TO RETURN TO ITS NORMAL POSITION. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 42,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS BRAKE SENSOR FOR THE FRONT WHEELS FAILED INTERMITTENTLY; THE BRAKES MADE A GRINDING NOISE WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED IT; THE LIGHT WOULD TURN OFF FOR A FEW DAYS. THE DEALER REPLACED A PART (NAME OF THE PART WAS NOT GIVEN) IN 2008 AND AUGUST 2010. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000. UPDATED 01/31/11 *BF UPDATED 02/03/11
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SENSOR WAS FAULTY, CAUSING THE ABS SYSTEM TO DEACTIVATE. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. BRAKE LIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY DID NOT WORK. I PERSONALLY CHECKED THE BULBS AND THEY WERE OPERATIVE. I CHECKED THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND NOTED THAT THE PLUNGER REMAINED "IN" ALTHOUGH THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. I HAD TO PUSH ON THE PLUNGER SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE PLUNGER TO PUSH OUT. THE BRAKE LIGHTS THEN WORKED WHEN THE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FERMAN CHEVROLET, TAMPA FL, AFTER DISCOVERING THE RECALL NOTICE ON THE NHTSA SITE ON 09/17/08. I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS RECALL (PE05065) HAD BEEN PERFORMED ON THIS VEHICLE IN THE PAST. I HAD THE PART REPLACED AND KEPT THE REPLACED PART WHICH IS AVAILABLE TO YOU. THE PART IS LABELED WITH THE NUMBER 25796381 6318B. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY HAZARD AND MAY INDICATE THE "FIX" THAT GM DID IN THIS CASE MAY NEED TO BE FIXED AGAIN. THIS WAS ON A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO 5 CYLINDER. *TR EMAIL UPDATE (10/2/2008): MY DAUGHTER WAS STOPPED SEVERAL TIMES BY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND TOLD THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. I PERSONALLY CHECKED THE LIGHTS AND THEY WERE NOT ILLUMINATING WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. WHEN I REACHED UP TO CHECK THE SWITCH WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED I NOTED THAT THERE WERE PLUNGERS THAT WERE NOT EXTENDING WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. I THEN PUSHED ON THE PLUNGERS WITH MY FINGERTIPS AND WAS ABLE TO DISLODGE THE PLUNGER AND LOW AND BEHOLD THE BRAKE LIGHTS STARTED WORKING WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS REPLACED TWICE AND CURRENTLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000. PHONE INTERVIEW UPDATE (10/2/2008): MR. HERNANDEZ SAID THAT HE REPLACED THE BRAKE LAMP SWITCH THREE TIMES. HE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED AND HE DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE FROM GM FOR BRAKE LAMP SWITCH. AFTER EACH FAILURE, HE BOUGHT A REPLACEMENT SWITCH FROM A GM DEALER AND DID THE REPAIR HIMSELF. MR. HERNANDEZ SAID THAT THE FIRST FAILURE OCCURRED IN 2006, THE SECOND IN 8/08, AND THE MOST RECENTFAILURE OCCURRED IN 9/15/08.
PURCHASED TRUCK IN NOVEMBER 2007 WITH 17,000 MILES. TRUCK NOW HAS 26,663 MILES. NO PROBLEMS OCCURRED WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2, 2008. WHILE ON VACATION, STUCK IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC BEGAN TO MOVE DUE TO A GREEN LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED RED AGAIN, I PRESSED BRAKES TO STOP. EXPERIENCED A HORRIBLE GRINDING NOISE AND BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK TO STOP THE VEHICLE. VERY CLOSE TO A COLLISION. THE ABS LIGHT THEN CAME ON AND "ABS FAULT" BEGAN TO SCROLL. PULLED OFF OF THE ROAD, HUSBAND LOOKED AT BRAKES AND COULD SEE NO VISIBLE PROBLEMS. SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND RESTARTED IT A MOMENT LATER AND THE LIGHT AND SCROLLING WERE GONE. TRUCK HAS DONE THIS EVERYTIME IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN SINCE THEN. GOT A MECHANIC TO READ THE CODE AND HE SAYS THE ABS SPEED SENSOR ON THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE SITE REPORTING THE SAME PROBLEM. ALSO, SEVERAL GMC TRUCKS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE. DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED FOR A RECALL TO BE ISSUED? *TR
CAR HAS 93,000 MILES. VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT OCCASIONALLY. RECENTLY, ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START. TOOK ME ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF CRANKING UNTIL IT DID. IT RAN FINE, I TOOK IT TO CHEVY DEALER GRAND PRIZE CHEVROLET HERE IN MIAMI AND THEY CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP. IN 3 WEEKS AFTER THE FUEL PUMP WAS CHANGED THE CAR HAS LEFT ME STRANDED 3 ADDITIONAL TIMES. I JUST TOOK OFF AGAIN AND TOLD THEM THE FUEL PUMP CHANGE DID NOT HELP, IT LEFT ME STRANDED 3 TIMES, SAME PROBLEM, CAR DOES NOT START, AFTER ABOUT 5 TO 10 MINUTES OF CRANKING IT STARTS AS OF NOTHING HAPPENED. THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I AM FRUSTRATED THAT ONE PAYS 20,000 PLUS FOR A CAR THAT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND THE CHEVY MECHANICS CAN'T FIX. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. *TR
2005 CHEVY COLORADO WITH AROUND 84,000 MILES (BLOWN ENGINE)!!! BROKEN PISTON CONNECTING ROD; PUTTING TWO HOLES ON EACH SIDE OF THE CYLINDER WITH THE PISTON ROD STICKING COMPLETELY THROUGH THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE CYLINDER. OIL AND SMOKE THAT CAME FROM THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE CAUSED A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT, ESPECIALLY IF THERE HAD BEEN A MOTORCYCLE BEHIND ME. REPLACED ENGINE MYSELF DUE TO GM DOING NOTHING. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY COLORADO STANDARD CAB 2.8 LITER AFTER 3 YEARS I NOTICED ENGINE INTERNAL NOISE START IT UP NOW IT SOUNDS LIKE A DIESEL A LOT OF STUFF IS KNOCKING AROUND INSIDE THE MOTOR I HEARD IT WAS SOME TYPE OF RECALL ON THAT BUT I'M NOT SURE I DO REMEMBER I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THROTTLE BODY HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE AFTER THIS REPLACEMENT FROM A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN THAT'S WHEN THE PROBLEM OF REDUCED POWER FAILURE EMITTING FROM MY DASH COULD NOT GO OVER 40 MILES AN HOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON SO I WAS TOLD TO DISCONNECT BATTERY FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TO LET COMPUTER REBOOT AND THE PROBLEM WOULD GO AWAY JUST FOR A LITTLE WHILE WHEN THE MOTOR IS COLD THERE'S NO NOISE IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S NEW BUT WHEN IT HEATS UP THAT'S WHEN ALL THE NOISES BEGIN I ALWAYS CHANGE MY OIL OUT EVERY 3000 MILES OR 3 MONTHS I USED CASTLES 70,000 MI PLUS BECAUSE I HAVE 110000 MI ON THE VEHICLE I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE WHO'S HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS FAR AS THE KNOCKING IN THE MOTOR BUT I DO KNOW THAT PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR THROTTLE BODIES MALFUNCTIONING AND CAUSING THE TRUCK TO RUN ROUGH AND SLOW AND SLUGGISH NOW I DON'T DRIVE IT VERY FAR BECAUSE I'M AFRAID THAT POWER REDUCTION LIGHT WILL COME ON IN MY DASH THEREFORE I CAN'T GO OVER 40 MILES AN HOUR WHICH I'VE MENTIONED THIS BEFORE ALL I CAN SAY IS AFTER THIS WITH THE THROTTLE BODY MOTOR HAS BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR WRANGLER RT/S TIRES, SIZE P26570R16. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE EXPLODED. THE CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCES IN THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. SHE EXAMINED THE TIRES AND NOTICED THAT THE MANUFACTURED DATE FOR EACH ONE WAS FIVE YEARS PRIOR TO THEIR PURCHASE DATE. THE TIRES WERE INTENDED TO BE NEW. THE TIRES HAVE NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 55,763. UPDATED 07/10/08. *LJ UPDATED
HEATER FAN QUIT WORKING ON 1 2 AND 3. BUT SOMETIMES WOULD COME BACK ON, WHEN ON 1 2 OR 3. AND WHEN IT WAS ON YOU COULD SMELL PLASTIC BURNING. AND WHEN CHECKED THE INTO IT FOUND THE PLUG ON THE WIRING HARNESS THAT PLUGGED INTO THE RESISTER ON THE FAN WAS LOOSE AND CAUSING THE WIRES TO MELT. THIS LOOSE PLUG WAS LOOSE FROM THE FACTORY, NO WAY COULD HAVE GOT TOO SMALL OVER THE YEARS. NEW PLUG AND NEW RESISTER PLACED CONCERN IF FIRE RESULTS COULD CAUSE DEATH INJURIES, GARAGE FIRE OR HOUSE FIRE IF VEHICLE PLACED IN GARAGE AT NIGHT. *TR
AFTER RE-LINING REAR BRAKES THEY LOCK UP AND GRAB AFTER ABOUT 1000 MILES. RELINING HAS BEEN DONE TWO TIMES BY REPAIR SHOP, SAME CONDITIONS AFTER NOTED MILEAGE. BRAKES ARE EVEN WORSE WHEN IT RAINS OR DURING HIGH HUMIDITY CONDITIONS. LOCK UP AND/OR GRABBING TENDS TO CAUSE TEMPORARY LOSS OF CONTROL ON WET SURFACES. REPAIR SHOP HAS INQUIRED TO MANUFACTURER REGARDING THIS CONDITION, MANUFACTURER IS AWARE THAT THIS CONDITION EXISTS, BUT STATES THAT THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED ANY TSB'S OR RECALLS. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL, THEY TOO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME CONDITIONS. INCIDENTS WITH THIS PROBLEM HAVE BEEN PREVALENT FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS, WHO ADVISED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURE WAS ALERTED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO 4X4 TRUCK. I WAS GETTING OVER IN LEFT HAND LANE TO AVOID A TRUCK AND TRAILER THAT HAD STOPPED ABOUT 4 CAR LENGTHS AHEAD OF ME WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE SNAPPED OFF THE SPINDLE AND SENT THE TRUCK DOWN INTO THE ROAD. THE HOLE TIRE SNAPPED OFF AND FLEW BY THE WINDOW TAKING THE MIRROR AND DOOR HANDLE WITH IT. THE TIRE WAS NOT FLAT AND STILL HAD LUGNUTS FULLY LOCKED ON IT WHEN I PICKED IT UP OFF THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY AUTO BODY GUY SAID IT LOOKED LIKE THE METAL , SPINDLE, AND AXEL JUST BROKE IN HALF . *TR
I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT A RECURRING 'STUCK THROTTLE' PROBLEM I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH MY 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO LS CREW CAB Z71 4X4 WITH A 3.5 LITER I5 ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. *TR ON 6/28/06 WHILE SLOWING AND TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT, MY ENGINE RACED TO FULL THROTTLE. I NEARLY CRASHED INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, BUT WAS BARELY ABLE TO APPLY ENOUGH BRAKE PRESSURE WHILE TURNING OFF THE KEY. THE DEALERSHIP TOWED IT IN, COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS, AND BLAMED THE FLOORMATS. ON 8/28/06, WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, I FELT MY TRUCK LURCHING AND OBSERVED THE TACHOMETER AT ABOUT 1300 RPM. I CHECKED TO SEE THAT MY FOOT AND FLOORMATS WEREN'T TOUCHING THE THROTTLE IN ANY WAY. I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, WHERE THE RPMS JUMPED TO 3,000, AND BACK TO DRIVE WHERE THEY DROPPED DOWN TO THE NORMAL 700 RPM IDLE SPEED. I CAREFULLY DROVE TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. THEIR PAPERWORK INDICATES THAT NO ENGINE FAULT CODES WERE FOUND, THE THROTTLE CONTROL MODULE WAS RESPONDING PROPERLY TO COMMANDS, AND THERE WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR IDLE CONTROL PROBLEMS -- WHICH THEY INSTALLED. FOR THE NEXT YEAR AND A HALF, I DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY OTHER INSTANCES OF THIS PROBLEM. THEN, ON 3/3/08 THE ENGINE SUDDENLY RACED AGAIN WHILE PARKING. ON 3/31/08, I WAS SLOWING IN A STRAIGHT LINE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND EXPERIENCED THE THROTTLE RACING UP ON ITS OWN. I WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE TRUCK TO A COMPLETE STOP, SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, AND THE REVS DROPPED BACK TO NORMAL IDLE. I AM WRITING TO NHTSA TO REPORT THE PROBLEM, INQUIRE IF OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR ISSUES, AND ASK FOR DIRECTION ON MY NEXT COURSE OF ACTION. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT SUFFERED A SEIZURE AND PASSED OUT. SHE CRASHED INTO A TREE AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. SHE SUSTAINED KNEE, CHEST, HEAD, AND FACIAL INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CHEVROLET DEALER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO GM, WHERE SHE FILED A CLAIM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
CURRENTLY I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO CREW CAB 4WD PURCHASED IN OCTOBER 2004. THE COLORADO WAS A NEW BODY STYLE FOR CHEVROLET IN 2005 AND REPLACED THE CHEVY S-10 PICK-UP. APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR AGO, I BEGAN NOTICING CONDENSATION INSIDE MY FRONT HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. MOSS BEGAN ACCUMULATING AND THE MOISTURE INSIDE HAS BEGAN TO AFFECT THE PROJECTION CAPABILITY OF MY HEADLAMPS. THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES ARE CONSTRUCTED OF ALL PLASTIC PARTS. IT IS UNFORTUNATE, TO SAY THE LEAST, THAT I WILL HAVE TO SPEND SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE MY HEADLAMP SYSTEM AFTER THE TRUCK IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, IT MAY BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD. MY VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED FROM THE FRONT AND HAS ALL ORIGINAL MANUFACTURES EQUIPMENT. THE SEALS ARE FAILING ON MY HEADLAMPS SYSTEM. *TR
BRAKE PROBLEMS, GRINDING, PEDAL TO FLOOR, RUBBING AND GRINDING NOISE, SQUEALING, HAD ACCIDENTS 2 6 08 AND 2/15/08 REAR END COLLISIONS DUE TO BRAKE SEIZING UP , NON STOPPAGE WHILE COMING TO A ROLLING STOP. ON WAY TO WORK, I STARTED BRAKING WHILE SLOWLY COMING TO A RED LIGHT. MY BRAKES DID NOT STOP ME AND I CRASHED INTO ANOTHER TRUCK. I HAD EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE,WHILE THE OTHER VEHICLE HAD NONE. WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR.ALSO NOTICED PULLING TO THE RIGHT....HAD NEW TIRES AND ALIGNMENT AT SEARS(WELL AFTER THE ACCIDENT) AND, THEY SAID BRAKES WERE FINE AND DID AN ALIGNMENT. WHEN I HAD THE ACCIDENT DAMAGE REPAIRED, I ASKED THE DEALER SHIP TO CHECK THE BRAKES. THEY SAID THEY PULLED THE WHEELS AND CHECKED THE BRAKES AND ROAD CHECKED THE TRUCK, THE BRAKING INCIDENT FAILED TO HAPPEN FOR THEM. SO THEY CLAIMED. I HAVE ALSO HAD OTHER INCIDENCES WHERE THE WHEELS WILL SPIN UPON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP ON WET ROADS AND ALSO LOCKING UP ON WET ROADS, AND A GRINDING NOISE. DES SOMEONE HAVE TO GET KILLED IN ORDER FOR GM TO SEND OUT A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS DEFECT? MY TRUCK NOW HAS 37000 MILES O IT BUT THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN PERSISTING FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE TWO FRONT TIRES AT 20,000 MILES( WHICH I HAD DONE AT SEARS AFTER THE ACCIDENT) AS THEY WENT COMPLETELY BALD. THESE WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE? *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT SMELLED A STRONG BURNING ODOR AND HEARD A LOUD RATTLING NOISE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL. THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH INSTALLED BY CHEVROLET TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH THAT THEY HAD RECALLED, HAD ALSO FAILED TO WORK. IT STOPPED WORKING SHORTLY AFTER THEY HAD INSTALLED THE NEW ONE, BUT I HADN'T REALIZED BECAUSE I THOUGHT MY BRAKE LIGHTS JUST KEPT GOING OUT. I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. WHEN I STARTED THE TRUCK THE AIRBAG LIGHT TYPICALLY WILL TURN AND BLINK. THIS WA SAN INDICATION OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM TESTING ITSELF TO DETERMINE THAT THE SENSORS WERE WORKING PROPERLY. HOWEVER, THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON. TL* - THE CONTACT HAS A 2005 CHEVROLET COLORADO THAT HE TOOK INTO A DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WHICH HAD FAILED. TWO WEEKS AFTER REPAIR WAS DONE THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ( NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 06V139000 ) CONCERNING THE BRAKE LIGHTS SWITCH. THEREFORE CONTACT CALLED MANUFACTURER TO GET REIMBURSEMENT AND THE MANUFACTURE STATED IT WOULD TAKE 2 WEEKS IN ORDER FOR CONTACT TO RECEIVED REIMBURSEMENT FORM. THE CONTACT CALLED BACK ON 01/11/07 SINCE HE NEVER RECEIVED THE REIMBURSEMENT FORM AND THEY STATED IT WOULD TAKE ANOTHER 4 WEEKS BECAUSE THE SYSTEM THAT SENDS THE REIMBURSEMENT FORM WASN'T WORKING DURING THE HOLIDAYS. *NM
