THE TRANSMISSION CAUSES THE TRUCK TO SHUTTER WHEN ON A SLIGHT INCLINE OR UNDER SLIGHT PRESSURE/STRAIN. OCCASIONALLY THE TRUCK SHIFT VERY HARD. I'M CONCERNED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WONT LAST AND IT CAUSES A TERRIBLE RIDE. *TR
2019 CHEVY COLORADO WITH 13125 MILES DRIVING ST RT 45 LISBON OHIO 40 - 45 MPH UP SLIGHT GRADE, NOTICED / SMELLED SMOKE IN CONSOLE AREA BETWEEN SEATS, TRIED TO DO MINOR ACCELERATION TO GET OVER SLIGHT GRADE AND THE ENGINE DIED. PULLED INTO PARKING LOT TO STOP AND NO BRAKES NO POWER STEERING ,TRIED EMERGENCY BRAKE STILL DID NOT STOP. SPLIT DECISION TO EITHER CRASH INTO CONCRETE BARRIER OR GET BACK ONTO HIGHWAY. LIGHT TRAFFIC SO MUSCLED TRUCK BACK ON HIGHWAY AND BUMPED CURB TO TRY AND SLOW VEHICLE. FINALLY SLOWED ENOUGH TO TRY EMERGENCY BRAKE AGAIN AND IT WORKED TO STOP TRUCK. PUT TRUCK IN PARK AND EXITED VEHICLE, WITH FLAMED SHOOTING OUT DRIVER SIDE UNDERNEATH BETWEEN DRIVER DOOR AND PASSENGER DOOR. RUNNING BOARD HOT ENOUGH TO BURN MY JEANS AS I EXITED. VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTER TRIED TO PUT OUT FIRE WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHER AS DID HIGHWAY PATROL. FLAMES STILL ACTIVE. VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND AFTER ABOUT 15 MIN HAD FIRE PUT OUT. NO WARNING CHIMES, NO FLASHING LIGHTS, NOTHING TO INDICATE A PROBLEM. INSURANCE COMPANY HAD INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATOR LOOK AT VEHICLE, HE/SHE BELIEVES IS A GENERAL MOTORS ISSUE AND HAS CONTACTED THEM TO ALSO INVESTIGATE CAUSE. *TR
STEERING STARTED MAKING A "RATTLING" NOISE AND FINALLY LOCKED UP SO IT COULD NOT BE TURNED TO THE RIGHT. BECAUSE OF THE RATTLING NOISE, I DROVE TO A NEARBY CHEVROLET DEALER (AUTO NATION, GILBERT, AZ) AND THEN AS I WAS WORKING WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, THE STEERING LOCKED UP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER, OPENED THE HOOD AND LET THE VEHICLE SIT FOR A WHILE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE ARCADIA CHEVROLET BUICK LOCATED AT (210 S BREVARD AVE, ARCADIA, FL 34266) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.
THE 2019 COLORADO Z71 I HAVE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALER 8 TIMES SINCE MARCH. THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS WHILE TRYING TO MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT SPEED BETWEEN 40-60 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO SLIPS AND JERKS WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND REACCELERATING. DEALER CONTINUES TO TELL ME THEY CAN NOT RECREATE THE ISSUES. IT HAS BECOME SO THAT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE ALLOWING MY WIFE TO TRAVEL IN THIS VEHICLE. I FEAR THAT SHE WILL BE STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE AT HAND. THIS IS HER PRIMARY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION.
2019 CHEVY COLORADO ZR2- SHUTTERS OR HESITATES BEFORE SHIFTING UP AT 5 / 45 / 65 MPH. FEELS LIKE YOU DID NOT PRESS THE GAS WHEN ACCELERATING. IT IS INTERMITTENT, SO THEREFORE VERY HARD TO DUPLICATE FOR THE DEALERSHIP. THREE TIMES TO THE DEALER. #1 TRANNY FLUSH #2 REPROGRAMMED THE TRANNY #3 SORRY MA'AM WE CAN'T DUPLICATE WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING. I LIVE IN MICHIGAN ON THOSE 0 DEGREE MORNINGS THE TRUCK BARELY WANTS TO GET GOING. DEALERSHIP SAYS 'THIS IS NORMAL WITH AN 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION.' I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I HAVE OWNED A LOT OF CARS AND NONE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. OCCASIONALLY IT LUNGES FORWARD WHEN COMING TO A STOP- THIS IS SO DANGEROUS AS I DRIVE IN THE CITY EVERYDAY. VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM TO HAVE.
BOUGHT 6 MONTHS AGO 7000 MILES. WHEN DRIVING FELT LIKE I DRIVING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS, I TOOK IF TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIM THAT WAS NORMAL. THEY CHANGED THE FLUID AND SAID DRIVE IT FOR 500 MILES. NOW I TOOK IT BACK AGAIN BECAUSE EVERY TIME I START IT AND THERE IS A BANG IN THE TRANSMISSION, THEY WANTED ME TO LEAVE IT AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE. THEY TOLD ME DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOU HAVE A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON YOU DRIVE TRAIN. TOLD THEM ME AND MY WIFE WERE GOING ON VACATION AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. I AM VERY DISGUSTED WITH THIS PURCHASE I MADE. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE. *TR
SINCE SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE NEW, I HAVE EXPERIENCED HARD SHIFTING, SLIPPING WHEN ACCELERATING, ALSO EXPERIENCE ROUGH IDLE AT TIMES.I HAVE HAD THE TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED BUT I STILL HA E THE PROBLEM. I'VE EVEN HAD THE SERVICE MANAGER RIDE WITH ME AND HE STATED HE EXPERIENCED THE LUGGING SENSATION, AND SAID IT'S NORMAL, THEY STILL DID NOTHING TO HELP ME, AND THIS IS NOTED ON THEIR SERVICE RECORD! THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND I GET THE SAME ANSWER AS THEY FIND NOTHING WRONG.
WHILE TRAVELING STRAIGHT DOWN A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY THE FRONT PASSENGER CONTROL ARM BROKE CAUSING THE WHEEL TO COLLAPSE AND FOLD UP UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. THE DRIVER NOTICED LOSS OF STEERING AND THEN AN ABRUPT STOP. THERE WERE NO SIGNS THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE BEFORE THE INCIDENT OCCURED. THE VEHICLE DID NOT STRIKE ANYTHING TO CAUSE THE DAMAGE. THE DRIVEWAY WAS IN GOOD CONDITION AND THERE WAS NOTHING UNUSUALLY THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. NO ONE WAS HURT IN THE INCIDENT. THE FRACTURE IN THE CONTROL ARM SHOWS SIGNS OF CRACKING (BASED ON PICTURE ATTACHED).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A FUEL LEAK AT THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (1205 PRICE RD SE, ALBANY, OR 97322) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK LEAK WAS DUE TO ROAD DEBRIS WHICH PUNCTURED THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE HAD REMAINED IN CUSTODY OF THE DEALER DUE TO THE PARTS NECESSARY FOR THE REPAIR BEING ON BACK ORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT OFFERED NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
JUST TOOK DELIVERY OF A 2019 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE HEADLAMP LOW BEAM WILL NOT COME ON FOR EITHER L OR R HEADLAMP.
THE BRAKES AND ROTORS IN THE REAR OF THE TRUCK WERE GRINDING AT 21K MILES. BROUGHT IT TO DEALERSHIP AT 23K MILES AND HAD TO REPLACE REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS.
THE GAS TANK/GAUGE WILL BE ON "FULL", THEN-WHILE DRIVING, THE GAS GAUGE WILL GO TO "E" AND THE DASH WILL ALERT YOU AS TO NO FUEL. UPON TAKING THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THE FIRST TIME, THE DEALER COULD FIND NO ISSUES THROUGH THE COMPUTER. THE "SECOND" OCCURRENCE-THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DIFFERENT DEALER, AND THEY STATED THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE "THIRD" OCCURRENCE-THE GAUGE WENT TO "E", WHILE DRIVING, THE DEALER CLAIMED IT WAS NOW A CORD/WIRE THAT ATTACHED TO THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR RUNNING THE LENGTH OF THE VEHICLE UNDER THE TRUCK. SINCE IT "APPEARS" THE RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE IS QUESTIONABLE, AND THE DEALER(S) HAVE NOT FULLY CORRECTED THE ISSUE, HOW CAN I BE CONFIDENT THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY HAS FUEL? ALSO, THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE BLUE TOOTH LINKING TO "I-PHONES/IOS SYSTEMS (ONLY), NOT ANDROID PHONE/SYSTEMS,AS CALL/TEXT NOTIFICATIONS MAY NOT ALWAYS ALERT WHILE YOU ARE IN THE VEHICLE. THE FIRST DEALER STATED THEY CONTACTED GM, BUT SO FAR-THERE IS NO FINAL RESOLUTION FROM GM REGARDING THE BLUE TOOTH ISSUE WITH I-PHONES/IOS SYSTEMS. I DO HAVE ALL RECEIPTS FOR ALL ACTIONS TAKEN REGARDING THIS VEHICLE.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the rear end of the vehicle was making abnormal roaring sounds and the vehicle was shuddering. Additionally, the contact stated while accelerating from a complete stop, the transmission would shift hard. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that the front driver's side seat belt would not buckle securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
TRANSMISSION JERKS AND JUMPS GOING UP A GRADE, OR WHEN APPLYING POWER DURING ACCELERATION. IT IS LIKE DRIVING ON A RUMBLE STRIP, SHUDDERS AND VIBRATES THE CAB. HAVE APPOINTMENT WITH DEALER NEXT WEEK, VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND HAS 3600 MILES.
TRUCK SHUDDERS WHILE DRIVING CAN'T TELL IF IT IS GOING TO SHUTDOWN OR BRAKES STRANGE SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING
AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF ABOUT 60-65 MPH THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 2019 COLORADO ZR2 V6 AUTOMATIC (THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 5700 MILES ON IT) HAS A SHUDDER OR SHAKING PROBLEM WHICH SHAKES THE WHOLE TRUCK. IT ALSO CAUSES A LOUD LOW FREQUENCY BOOMING NOISE. WHEN IT STARTED HAPPENING IT WAS ALARMING.
I HAD A CAR ACCIDENT HEAD ON AND MY AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF I'M AT THE HOSPITAL BUT WONDER WHY THEY DID NOT GO OFF VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOING FORTY MILES A HOUR REAR END TRUCK AND AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF M59 AND AIRPORT RD WATERFORD MI
VEHICLE SHUTTERS BETWEEN THE SPEED OF 15MPH TO 35MPH SHAKING VEHICLE VERY BAD. LEAKING BACK SLIDING GLASS, NO SEALANT AROUND GLASS DEALER HAD TO REPLACE BACK WINDOW NEW MOUNDING AND SEALANT. CARPET IN BACK IS SOAKED WITH POSSIBILITY OF MOLD. DEALER DID NOT MAKE ANY EFFORT TO CLEAN CARPET OR HEADLINER WHEN REAR WINDOW WAS REPAIRED. THE HEADLINER HAD A BAD STAIN AND WAS SUPERFICIALLY CLEANED, LEAVING POSSIBILITY OF MOLD IN THE FUTURE. THE CARPET AND FLOOR MATS WERE NOT CLEANED LEAVING POSSIBILITY OF MOLD IN THE FUTURE. POOR SERVICE IN THIS AREA.
I EXPERIENCE HARSH SHIFTS FROM 1-2 GEAR AND WHEN DOWNSHIFTING 2-1. IT JOLTS THE WHOLE TRUCK. IT SOMETIMES RANDOMLY DOWNSHIFTS FOR NO REASON WHEN I DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I AM AFRAID THAT SOMETHING IS GOING TO FAIL IN THE DRIVETRAIN WHEN I'M DRIVING.

CHEVROLET 2019 COLORADO - EXPERIENCING SLIPPING ON TRANSMISSION - FEELS LIKE DRIVING ON RUMBLE STRIPS ALL THE TIME
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AROUND 25 TO 35 MILES A HOUR UNDER LOAD
. I WAS AT THE CARWASH VACUUMING THE TRUCK WHILE IN DRIVE WHEN I GOT BACK TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO PUT THE HOSE UP, I REACHED IN TO REMOVE MY KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION, AND THE TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARDS, I RAN TO THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE DOOR KNOCKED ME TO THE GROUND AND THE 2019 COLORADA RAN OVER MY ENTIRE BODY FROM MY FEET TO MY FACE AND HEAD. I SUFFERED A PUNCTURED LUNG AND MY PELVIC BONE IS FRACTURED IN SEVERAL PLACES. ALL OF THIS WAS CAUGHT ON TAPE.
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK NEW 1 MONTH AGO!!!!
AFTER REPLACING TRANSMISSION FLUID PER TSB 19417577 TRUCK OCCASIONALLY DOES NOT COME OUT OF GEAR WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A POINT WHERE ENGINE GOES UNDER 500 RPM WHERE GAS IS APPLIED TO KEEP FROM STALLING. THIS SURGE WHILE BRAKING UNDER 10 MPH THEN REQUIRES HARD PRESS ON BRAKE WHICH DOES SEEM TO DROP TRANSMISSION OUT OF GEAR WITH HARD CLUNK. STOPPED JUST INCHES SHORT AT LIGHT FROM CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED AT LIGHT. DEALER CAN NOT IMMEDIATELY REPRODUCE WITH SHORT TEST DRIVE, AND WILL NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO TROUBLESHOOT. BEEN TOLD TO BRING BACK WHEN IT HAPPENS MORE OFTEN.
THE VEHICLE WAS GOING DOWN HILL ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN WE TAPPED THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN AND THE BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR AND WE SKID ABOUT 300 YARDS BEFORE BEING ABLE TO GET THE TRUCK TO COME TO A STOP. WE KEPT TAPPING BRAKES TRYING TO GET THEM TO GRAB AND STOP US LUCKILY, THE CAR A HEAD OF US TURNED RIGHT AT THE LIGHT SO WE DID NOT CRASH INTO THEM. THEN WHEN IT DID STOP THE RPM STARTED REEVING UP AND THE TRUCK LUNGED FORWARD THEN THE RPM WENT DOWN. WE WERE VERY LUCKY WE DID NOT GO THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND WRECK.
TRUCK BEGAN SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING AT 600 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ACCELERATING AROUND 40 MPH AND ROUGHLY 1200 RPM IS WHEN IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE, BUT CAN ALSO FEEL IT AT HWY SPEEDS 60-75 MPH. FEELS LIKE I AM DRIVING OVER SPEED GROOVES IN THE ROAD (BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THE SHUDDER WHEN THE TRUCK IS SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS).
THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, BANGS INTO GEAR WHEN COLD. THE DEALER IS TELLING ME THIS IS NORMAL, BASED FROM A BULLETIN FROM GM. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH A 112 MILES ON IT, THE TRASMISSION HAS SLIPPED FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY.
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO LATE DOWN SHIFT WHEN SLOWING, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JUMP FORWARD ONCE SHIFTING HAS COMPLETED.
LATE DOWN SHIFT ... SHIFTS HARD ... VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD ON A STOP
I pulled off the dealer lot with 3 miles on the odometer, came to a stop sign and damn near smacked my face on the steering wheel due to a hard downshift from 2nd to 1st gear. Pulled back into the lot and was told that "I have to break it in". As I laughed in his face, I knew I messed up buying a GM product. 20 miles down the road, I start getting transmission shutter during light acceleration. Took it back to the dealer and they ended up changing the fluid. As I was coming to a stop to pull in my driveway, the transmission hard shifted and threw me past the driveway. Took it back in to hear "Yep, that is GM acceptable". I am now having transmission shutter so bad, the truck will barely accelerate at 30mph or faster. This truck is absolute junk and I tell everyone I know, not to buy a GM truck. I will never buy an American made truck until they are made in America again, as they are overpriced and don't last. I want my money back!
AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT DROP INTO 1ST GEAR. WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION KICKS INTO GEAR VERY HARD, CAUSING A LOUD NOISE AND CAUSING THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS TO HAVE THEIR NECKS JERKED BACK, VERY HARD. THIS PROBLEM WAS PRESENT FROM THE TIME I PULLED IT OFF THE LOT WITH 4 MILES ON IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER, ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS EVERY TIME THE TRUCK IS DRIVEN AT NEARLY EVER STOP I MAKE. THE REAR BRAKES PADS ARE WEARING OUT 3 TIMES FASTER, THAN THE FRONT PADS. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO CHANGE REAR BRAKES IN A VEHICLE, BUT THE CHEVY COLORADO HAS AN ISSUE WITH REAR BRAKES WEARING VERY QUICKLY.
THE TRANSMISSION HAS A DELAYED DOWNSHIFT, CAUSING THE TRUCK JUMP FORWARD DURING A STOP. WHEN COMING TO A STOP, IT FEELS LIKE THE TRUCK IS BEING HIT FROM BEHIND, AT THE SAME TIME, MAKING A LOUD MECHANICAL NOISE. SOMETIMES IT HITS SO HARD, IT WILL CAUSE THE TRUCK TO BE THROWN PAST MY DRIVEWAY, WHILE PREPARING TO TURN INTO THE DRIVEWAY. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE FACTORY TRANSMISSION FLUID BE REPLACED WITH A THICKER FLUID, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD THAT DONE. ALTHOUGH IT FIXED THE PREVIOUS ISSUE OF VIBRATION, CAUSED FROM THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHING BACK AND FOURTH BETWEEN GEARS RAPIDLY, BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE HARD AND DELAYED DOWNSHIFT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FROM THE MOMENT I PULLED IT OFF THE LOT, WITH ONLY 4 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE TRUCK WAS IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP, IN WHICH THEY SAID THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. *TR
EIGHT SPEED TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND VIBRATES UNDER NORMAL ACCELERATION. MORE NOTICEABLE ON HILLS OR UNDER LIGHT LOAD. CHEVY DEALERS ANSWER: THEY ALL DO IT!! AFTER EXTENSIVE ONLINE SEARCHER, I FOUND THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR 3 TO 4 YEARS WITH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND DISSATISFIED OWNERS! THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU THIS WHEN YOUR BUYING VEHICLE. CHEVY HAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN # 16NA175 ON PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT RESOLVE PROBLEM. OF ALL THE VEHICLES I'VE OWNED OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE NEVER HAD A DRIVEABILITY PROBLEM THIS SERIOUS.
TRUCK VIBRATES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT'S LIKE DRIVING ON A GRAVEL ROAD
