The ignition key started the car but the car continued to stall out when the clutch was released failing to propel the car leaving me stranded with a running(ideling) but non functional vehicle.I could not move the vehicle and it was subject to traffic crash. I need to have the vehicle retrieved by the dealer for repait. It is non-operable. There weree no warnings to me on the vehicle that the p roblem existed
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, IT SURGED IN REVERSE WHILE THE CONTACT WAS RETRIEVING ITEMS FROM THE TRUNK. HE HAD TO JUMP OUT OF THE WAY OF THE VEHICLE. HIS SPOUSE HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS A DEFECTIVE CABLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 8,000. WHILE DRIVING UPHILL TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ALLOW TO SHIFT TO 2ND WHEN SPEED IS BETWEEN 15 AND 20 MPH, AND SOMETIMES WILL SHIFT TO 4TH GEAR BEFORE SHIFTING TO 2ND GEAR. MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.*AK
