POWER STEERING GOES OUT RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN PARKED, DASH READS: POWER STEERING, ESC OFF, SERVICE ESC. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY, ON CITY STREETS, WHILE TURNING AND WHILE GOING STRAIGHT. THERE WAS A RECALL ON OTHER MODELS OF CHEVY MALIBU BUT MY 4-CYLINDER WAS EXCLUDED. THERE ARE MANY OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. A NEW RECALL TO INCLUDE OUR MODELS IS NEEDED. MILEAGE IS AT APPROX. 173,000
POWER STEERING NOTIFICATION COMES ON DASH AND STEERING WHEEL IS HARD TO TURN. I TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART AND THEN ITS FINE BUT SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING NOTICE FLASHES ON DASH AGAIN AND AM UNABLE TO TURN STEERING WHEEL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, IT OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
MY POWER SOURCE IN CAR WON'T WORK, MY CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK, MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT FIST I WOULD JUST HAVE TO RESTART THE CAR AND IT WOULD BE FINE NOT ANYMORE. SOME TIMES MY CAR COMPLETELY LOCKS UP IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, MY HEADLIGHTS SOMETIMES WORK AND SOMETIMES DON'T

THE CONTACT CALLED BOMNIN CHEVROLET MANASSAS (8000 SUDLEY RD, MANASSAS, VA 20109, (703)-368-2111) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR WARRANTIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,006.
TRAVELING EAST TURNING LEFT GOING 17 MPH, STRUCK BY A VAN GOING THE SPEED LIMIT WHICH IS 50 HEAD ON, DRIVER AIRBAG DEPLOYED, PASSENGER AIRBAG DID NOT. PASSENGER IS 5'4' AND 120 LBS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. ALSO, WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO REGAL LAKELAND (925 BARTOW RD, LAKELAND, FL 33801, 863-904-1170) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,368.
THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR IS MALFUNCTIONING, ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT, THE STEERING WHEEL IS "TWITCHING" THE STEERING WILL GIVE OUT UNLESS I RESTART THE CAR. MOST OF THESE ARE ON RECALL BUT UNSURE WHY MY CAR WOULDN'T BE. ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY.
ESC LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON 01-21. MORNING OF 01-22 WAS COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE TRYING TO LEAVE DRIVEWAY. ECS LIGHT REMAINS ON AND POWER STEERING NEVER RETURNED EVEN AFTER 20 MILES OF HIGHWAY AND RURAL ROAD TRAVEL. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. FURIOUS THAT ONLY CERTAIN VIN #S ARE PART OF RECALL WHEN IT CLEARLY AFFECTS THE VAST MAJORITY OF VINS FOR THIS MODEL YEAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL OFF AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS KEPT RANDOMLY FLASHING. ALSO, THE STEERING WHEEL MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND VIBRATED DURING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V153000 (STEERING) AND 14E044000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,317.
VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE BUT STOPPED IN A DRIVE THRU. SERVICE ESC, POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. TURNED OFF CAR. PROBLEM WENT AWAY AFTER RESTARTING.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR, THE BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON WHEN NOT BRAKING AND GO OFF WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. THIS HAPPENS ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS.
THE POWER OF STEERING DOES NOT WORK. WHEN DRIVING OR WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON THE POWER OF STEERING STOPS WORKING. I LOOKED ONLINE AND NOTICE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY WAS THEIR NEVER A RECALL ON THIS?
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON WHILE DRIVING BUT SHUT OFF WHEN ACTUALLY PUT ON BRAKES.... VERY DANGEROUS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OR WHILE STOPPED, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK. ALSO, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. THE CONTACT SHOOK THE STEERING WHEEL A COUPLE OF TIMES TO GET IT TO OPERATE. THE FAILURES RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING ON A CURVY BACKROAD (SR 724). I RETURNED THE CAR TO MY HOUSE AND SWITCHED VEHICLES. LATER I TOOK THE CAR TO THE GARAGE FOR REPAIR --THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING PROBLEM. UPON LOOKING UP THE CODE, THE GARAGE SAID IT WAS THE STEERING SHAFT TORQUE SENSOR. GARAGE (AUTOPRO, INC - SHILLINGTON, PA 19607) REPLACED THE PART. ISSUE SEEMS VERY SIMILAR/THE SAME AS RECALL 14V153000 WHICH WAS FOR "CERTAIN 2008-2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU'S." BASED ON ONLINE RESEARCH, THERE ARE MANY OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE THAT HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE AND WERE ALSO TOLD THAT THEIR VIN WAS NOT COVERED.
DRIVING, POWER STEERING FREEZES, CANNOT CHANGE LANES, OR TURN. IT WILL SUDDENLY TURN INTO OLD SCHOOL POWER STEERING, AND I CAN MUSCLE IT HOME. THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE P, DUE TO MEDIAN OF ERROR. THEY SEEM TO THINK ALL OF THE OTHER 2009 MALIBU'S DO THIS, BUT NOT MINE. WHAT A RIDICULOUS NOTION. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER, NURSING STUDENT, HOPING I HAD BOUGHT A REALLY NICE CAR. NOW I FEAR MY DEATH DAILY.
WHILE DRIVING THE POWER LOCKS GOES OFF. THEY GO LOCK AND UNLOCK WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THEY UNLOCK AND LOCK WHEN WR ARE AT HOME AND THE IGNITION IS OFF. TGE BRAKE LIGJTS STAY ON LIKE I AM HITTING THE BRAKE PEDDLE AND THE CRUIS CONTROL WONT WORK BC THE BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON IT CUTS IT OFF. I HAVE BEEN HEARING NOISES COMING FROM THE SHIFTER AREA A BUZZING NOISE LIKE A WIRE HAS CROSSED.
THIS CAR FIRST BELONGED TO MY MOTHER AND I BORROWED IT ONCE TO GO OUT OF TOWN TO PITTSBURGH WHICH INTRODUCED ME FOR THE FIRST TIME TO THE PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING BECAUSE OF WHAT I THOUGHT THE CAUSE WAS EXTREME COLD. NOW I HAVE TRANSFERRED OVER THE TITLE AND THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO BE MY DAILY RELIABLE SOURCE OF TRANSPORTATION BUT THE POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING AND GIVES A SERVICE WARNING REGARDLESS OF OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE AND HAPPENS 3-4 TIMES IN A 20 MINUTE DRIVE AT IT'S WORSE. AT FIRST THE SOLUTION WAS TO JUST TURN THE CAR ON AND OFF BUT THAT ISN'T POSSIBLE WHEN YOU'RE ON AN INTERSTATE SO IT HAS NOW BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE. I SAW THERE WAS A RECALL BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE MY VIN # WAS APART OF THE RECALL BUT IT IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT PUTS MY LIFE IN DANGER IN UNPREDICTABLE AND SPORADIC MOMENTS OF MY DAILY DRIVES AND I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP IN FINDING A SOLUTION.
POWER STEERING AND SERVICE ESC/TRACTION LIGHT COMES ACROSS THE DASH AS I'M DRIVING RANDOMLY. WHEN THIS HAPPENS MY STEERING WHEEL BECOMES STIFF AND HARD TO TURN. I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT'LL BE FINE BUT IT DOES COME BACK EVENTUALLY.
MY ESC LIGHT CAME ON RANDOMLY WHILE IN PARK AND I LOST POWER STEERING. SHUT THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON IT WAS FINE, LIGHT WENT AWAY. A FEW DAYS LATER DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ESC LIGHT COMES ON, WHEEL BEGINS SHAKING AND LOST POWER CONTROL, TRIED TO PULL OFF AND TURN THE CAR OFF, LIKE BEFORE, THE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF. NO POWER STEERING AT ALL IN MY CAR FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS.

THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL STABILITY CONCERN WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY OWN UPKEEP. THE CAR IS IN MOTION AT THE TIME THAT THE STABILITY OF THE STEERING WHEEL GETS REALLY STIFF. THIS INCREASES ACCIDENTS
THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE COMES ON WHEN YOU START THE VEHICLE AND THEN SAYS ESC OFF. STEERING WHEEL WON'T TURN. TURN THE CAR OFF AND MOST TIMES IF U TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE STARTING THE CAR IT WILL GO OFF. OTHER TIMES IT TAKES 2 TO 3 TIMES OF RESTARTING. TONIGHT DRIVING HOME THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE STEERING WENT OUT. HAD TO PULL OVER AND TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT. THE STEERING WHEEL IS SHAKING AND VIBRATING ALL THE TIME NOW.
THE CAR HAS THE 2.4 4 CYLINDER WITH THE UNRELIABLE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING UNIT THAT SHUTS OFF ALMOST EVERYTIME THE CAR IS DRIVEN.IT SHUTS OFF AND THE CAR MUST BE TURNED OFF THEN RESTARTED BEFORE STEERING IS RESTORED.IT GOES OFF UNDER ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS SITTING,IN MOTION,TURNING,GOING FORWARD OR BACKING UP.ON CITY STREETS OR MAJOR HIGHWAYS..IT HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS AND ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS ...
MY CAR HAS BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES AND MY DEVICE WAS CONNECTED UNTIL OCT 2018. WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTON, MUTES RADIO. COMPUTER NEVER RESPONDS, "READY". I ALSO NOTICED THAT ONSTAR IS NO LONGER WORKING. DOES NOT MAKE A NOISE WHEN BLUE BUTTON IS PRESSED. I LOOKED UP SYMPTOMS AND NOTICED THERE WAS A BULLETIN FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE 08-08-46-008 A/B. DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS NO SOFTWARE TO BE UPDATED AND I'VE TRIED MULTIPLE PHONES AND PRIOR TO DETERMINING IF MY DEVICE IS COMPATIBLE, THE COMPUTER MUST RESPOND WHEN FOLLOWING THE SET UP RULES.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
I HAVE OWNED MY 2009 CHEVY MALIBU LT SINCE 2010. THE PASSENGER SIDE DIM HEADLAMP IS OUT FOR THE 3RD TIME! I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SEVERAL MODEL YEARS INCLUDING 2009 THAT THE FRONT END MUST BE REMOVED TO FIX THE HEADLIGHT. I HAVE PAID OUT OF POCKET TWICE, FOR $170+ & $142+ WHEN I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE A HEAD LIGHT ON A CAR, MUCH LESS REMOVE THE WHOLE FRONT END , THEN IT WAS FIXED AND BURNED OUT A MONTH LATER EACH TIME. I NEED TO HAVE IT FIXED, BUT I KNOW MY HEADLIGHT IS GOOD, THERE IS JUST A DESIGN FAILURE IN KEEPING THE HEADLIGHT ON.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY CAR ALMOST FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE. MY VEHICLE IS HAVING SOME TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. IT IS HAVING PROBLEMS PICKING UP SPEED AND JERKS WHEN GEARS ARE SHIFTED. I HAVE ALSO NOTICE THAT WHEN THE BUTTON IS PUSHED TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW, THE LIGHT FLICKERS A BIT. MY CAR HAS NUMEROUS RECALLS ON IT BUT EVERYTIME I TAKE IT TO THE SHOP, THEY TELL ME THEY ARE CLOSED OUT. THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, HOW CAN THEY LEGALLY CLOSE OUT A RECALL OF SOMETHING THAT IS UNSAFE? HE SAID THEY PUT A CERTAIN NUMBER OUT OF HOW MANY VEHICLES HAVE GOTTEN THE RECALL TAKEN CARE OF. THE OTHERS ARE CONSIDERED LOST OR STOLEN. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND I DID NOT HAVE IT IN THE TIME THE RECALLS WERE ISSUED. MY VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN LOST OR STOLEN. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO BOB BELL NUMEROUS TIMES, ONLY TO BE TOLD THE RECALLS ARE CLOSED. I HAD TO GET MY INSURANCE TO PAY FOR ONE OF THE RECALL ISSUES BECAUSE MY STEERING WHILE LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL. THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE I AM HAVING HAS TO DO WITH ANOTHER RECALL ISSUE BUT THEY TELL ME IT IS CLOSED OUT. THERE IS ALSO AN OPEN RECALL FOR THE TAKATA INFLATORS. WHEN I GET INTO THE VEHICLE AND START IT THEN PUT IT IN REVERSE TO BACK OUT, I CAN FEEL IT JERK AND OFTEN HEAR A POP SOUND. SOMETIMES IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE. IT SEEMS STUCK. THE VEHICLE SEEM SLUGGISH, LIKE IT DOES NOT HAVE FULL POWER.
I HAVE NO POWER STEERING WHEN IT GOES OUT THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SHAKE AND SERVICE ESC MESSAGE WILL APPEAR IN THE MESSAGE BOX ON THE DASH IT HAPPENS AS SOON AS I START THE CAR!
A WEEK AGO WHEN STARTING MY CAR AND TRYING TO LEAVE THE STEER WHEEL LOCKED UP AND IT DISPLAYED 'POWER STEERING' ON THE DASH AND WAS DINGING AT ME. I PUT IT IN PARK, SHUT IT OFF, AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WAS GONE. THINKING IT WAS JUST A FLUKE DEAL, I DIDN'T BOTHER TO CHECK INTO IT. YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND PUT IT IN PARK AT A STOP LIGHT AND SHUT IT OF. UPON TURNING IT BACK ON THE MESSAGE HAD GONE AWAY AND ALL WAS NORMAL. ABOUT A MILE LATER THAT SAME THING HAPPENED. IT WAS LIKE THAT FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS WHILE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. I CALLED A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AFTER SEEING ONLINE THAT THERE WERE RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE AND THEY VERIFIED THAT IT WAS CORRECT AND IF MY CAR WAS EXPERIENCING THAT RECALL IT WOULD BE FIXED. I TOOK IT IN FIRST THING THIS MORNING AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE RECALL DOESN'T APPLY TOWARDS MY CAR AND THAT IT WAS JUST AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. I'M CONFUSED HOW THIS CAN BE A RECALL ON ONLY CERTAIN CARS AND NOT ALL. IT'S NOT SAFE FOR MYSELF OR OTHER PEOPLE ON THE ROAD FOR MY CAR TO BEING DOING THIS. I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING KNOWING THAT AT ANY MOMENT MY POWER STEERING COULD QUIT WORKING ON ME.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOP FOR NO APPARENT REASON ON THE LOW SETTING. THEY WILL MAKE APPROXIMATELY ONE FULL PASS TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD AND THE STOP HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHILE DRIVING IN INCLIMATE WEATHER.
MY SON DROVE THIS 09 MALIBU TO WORK AND WHEN HE GOT OFF OF WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND IT SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A DEFECT INSIDE THE TRANSMOISSIONS ON THESE VEHICLES AND THE WAVE-PLTE BRAKES REQUIRING A REBUILD. I CANNOT BELIEVE THESE VEHICLES HAVE NOT BEEN RECALLED TO FIX THIS DEFECT!!!!!
WHILE DRIVING MY ESC - ENHANCES STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT, ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. WHEN I STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND THEN TRIED TO DRIVE FORWARD I WAS ABLE TO MOVE MY VEHICLE UNTIL THE BRAKES KICKED IN AND STARTED SLOWING ME DOWN. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 5MIKES MY HUSBAND WHO WAS DRIVING BEHIND ME SIGNALED TO PULL OVER. MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON AND WHEN I ENGAGED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO COME TO A STOP THE BRAKE LIGHTS WENT OFF. AFTER I RELEASED THE BRAKES, AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR WITH IT STILL RUNNING MY BRAKE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON.
THE ESC LIGHT KEEPS COMMING ON FOR THE TRACTION CONTROLL AND THE ABS SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING THIS CAN CAUSE THE CAR TO LOOSE TRACTION WHILE DRIVING

THE ESC LIGHT HAS COME ON ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHER LIGHTS LIKE TRACTION CONTROL AND AIR BAG ON THE DASH AND NOW IT WON'T START.
THE POWER STEERING SHUT OFF MID TURN AND THE SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON. THE ISSUE WENT AWAY AFTER TURNING VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON.
POWER STEERING KEEPS GOING OUT MAKES IT HARD TO DRIVE STRAIGHT AND MAKE TIGHT TURNS AND MY LOW BEAMS ON MY HEADLIGHTS KEEPS GOING OUT TOO. BUT THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY CAR AT AND IT IS REALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH MY FAMILY IN IT.
POWERSTEERING STARTING PERIODICALLY GOING OUT AND ESC NOTIFICATION WOULD APPEAR. EVENTUALLY IT COMPLETELY QUIT. CALLED CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD MY CAR IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL FOR THAT ISSUE.
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING AND SERVICE ESC WARNINGS FLASHED ON DASHBOARD. VEHICLE VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER.
PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM KEEP GOING OUT. REPLACED BULB MULTIPLE TIMES, STILL DOESNT WORK. REPLACED WIRING HARNESS WITHIN FIRST WEEK OF PURCHASING VEHICLE AND HAVING REPEATED PROBLEMS.
THE ESC WAS TURNED OFF MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUE WITH THE FUEL PUMP, HEADLIGHTS AND ARM BARS. I BOUGHT THIS AS A USED VEHICLE 3 YEARS AGO AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT MECHANICAL ISSUE AFTER ISSUE. POORLY MANUFACTURED VEHICLE. INCLUDING HAVING TO CHANGE OUT THE ENTIRE FUSE BOX.
WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY POWER STEERING WILL QUIT WORKING AND IT BECOMES EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER(VERY UNSAFE CONDITION). BY TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND RESTARTING, STEERING WILL BE FINE UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN(WHICH IT DOES, CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME, AGAIN VERY UNSAFE)
AFTER DRIVING THE CAR ONE MILE FROM HOME STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT AND A MESSAGE APPEARED IN THE DIC POWER STEERING. I PULLED THE STEERING WHEEL WITH TWO HANDS TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WHEN TURNED ON THE MESSAGE WAS GONE BUT THE STEERING WAS STILL AWKWARD AND NOT AS SMOOTH AS IT SHOULD BE
WHEN DIVING I LOSE POWER STEERING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 4 TIMES NOW I HAVE HAD THE CAR SINCE APRIL OF 2018. AN EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT IN GOOD HEALTH.
POWER STEERING GOES OUT ANYTIME IT WANTS AND I NEED TO LET IT SIT OR TURN OFF VEHICLE.
I WAS DRIVING OUT OF TOWN ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON THEN MY STEERING ESC LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND MY CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER OFF THE ROAD.
