TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A FAILURE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY; HOWEVER, AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE MANY MALFUNCTIONS. THE VEHICLE'S BOLTS ON BOTH THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER SEATS WERE DETACHED. WHEN THE SEATS WERE ADJUSTED, THE UNI BODY FRAME OF THE BODY MOVED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE UNI BODY FRAME WAS ABLE TO BE MOVED MANUALLY. IN ADDITION, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING, WHICH SOMETIMES CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY REFUSED TO ASSIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE RADIO SHUTS OFF. THE CLIMATE CONTROL GOES HAYWIRE. AND THE STEERING LOCKS UP. THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHLE THE CAR IS STOPPED. BUT READING ALL THE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. SOMETHING NEEDS TO HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THERE ARE FATALITIES.
THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH MY 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU DEAL WITH ITS BRAKE ASSIST. THE BRAKE ASSIST ENGAGES ON ITS OWN WITHOUT OPERATOR ENABLING IT. THIS PROBLEM CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LOOSE ACCELERATING POWER, WHEREAS, THE OPERATOR NEEDS TO APPLY MORE FORCE TO THE ACCELERATOR TO MOVE THE CAR FORWARD OR BACKWARDS. IF, THE OPERATOR REMOVES FOOT FROM ACCELERATOR THE CAR WILL COME TO A COMPLETE STOP RAPIDLY, REMINISCENCE IF ONE IS OPERATING A MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLE AND DOWN-SHIFTS. OTHER PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE WHEN THE CAR IS SHUT-DOWN AND KEYS OUT OF IGNITION THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAIN ON (NOT ON EVERY OCCASION BUT PERIODICALLY). ALL, AFOREMENTIONED, THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND TAKEN IN FOR REPAIRS TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. IN, ADDITION, I HAVE CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER CARE CENTER IN THE PAST AND MOST RECENTLY JUNE 5, 2015 ABOUT THE PROBLEM (CODE #71-1466326393). BUT, TODAY, JUNE 7, 2015 IS BY FAR THE WORST INCIDENT TO DATE. WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE ON A LOCAL INTERSTATE THE BRAKE ASSIST ENGAGED ITSELF AGAIN CAUSING SERVER VIBRATIONS FROM ALL FOUR WHEELS AND A LOUD DISTURBING NOISE FROM THE WHEELS. ALSO, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED BACK AND FORTH; WITH THESE PROBLEMS I FELT THE NEED TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE. I FEEL THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO OPERATE
METAL PLATING ON THE PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE PEELING OFF AND IS EXTREMELY SHARP. HAVE HAD 2 PEOPLE SLICE THEIR HANDS/FINGERS ON THE DOOR, RESULTING IN A PAINFUL "PAPER-CUT" LIKE INJURY. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET SUGGESTS THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR GM VEHICLES IN THE PAST. CAR IS 2 YEARS OLD AND SHOULDN'T BE FALLING APART.

WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK BATTERY SENSOR, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR, AND THE SERVICE POWER STEERING INDICATOR SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE BATTERY WAS RECHARGED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CASTLE CHEVROLET IN ILLINOIS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
I PURCHASED A 2013 CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED CHEVROLET MALIBU FROM A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN NOVEMBER OF 2014. I WAS SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE FOR A FEW MONTHS WITH NO ISSUES UNTIL I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL. MY FIRST FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE EXITING ONTO A HIGHWAY VIA A CLOVERLEAF. WHILE MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY, I LOST ALL POWER, INCLUDING POWER STEERING. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS IN THE OTHER LANE, AS MY CAR VEERED ACROSS THE LINE, INTO THE OTHER LANE. THE POWER CAME BACK ON A FEW SECONDS LATER. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT, HOWEVER THEY WERE UNABLE TO PINPOINT THE ISSUE. THEY SCANNED THE VEHICLES SYSTEM FOR ERROR CODES, CLEARED THE CODES AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. SINCE THIS INITIAL ISSUE, MY CAR LOSES POWER RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, PARKED, USING MY TURN SIGNAL, TURNING LEFT, TURNING RIGHT, ETC. THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT, THE DASHBOARD AND VEHICLE DISPLAY MONITOR GO BLACK. SOME INSTANCES IT WILL FLICKER, OTHER TIMES IT WILL SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. I HAVE HAD IT TOWED FROM MY DRIVEWAY AS I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO TURN IT ON AND TOWED FROM A RETAIL PARKING LOT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR INSPECTED BY THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES AND A SEPARATE PRIVATELY OWNED GARAGE TWICE, WITH NO RESOLUTION. I CONTACTED GM/CHEVROLET REGARDING THE ISSUE AND A CASE NUMBER WAS GIVEN TO ME. THEY HAD ME BRING MY CAR TO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. AFTER THEIR INSPECTION, THE DEALERSHIP STATED IT WAS THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE THAT IS MALFUNCTIONING. I REACHED OUT TO CHEVROLET AGAIN ABOUT A RESOLUTION AND THEY INDICATED THE VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY SO NO REPAIR SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED. IF THIS ISSUE WOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED WITHIN THE INITIAL INSPECTION, THE CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED STATUS OF MY VEHICLE MAY HAVE COVERED REPAIRS. MY CONCERN IS THE LARGER IMPACT OF OTHERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND GETTING THE SAME RESPONSE BY GM.
CLIMATE CONTROL ISSUES. FAN IS STUCK AT ONE SPEED ON PASSENGER SIDE AND WILL NOT HEAT. WHEN A/C COMPRESSOR IS ON IT BLOWS ICE COLD AIR. WHEN HEAT IS ON IT ALSO BLOWS ICE COLD AIR, NO MATTER THE SETTING WHETHER IN "SYNC" MODE OR NOT. THE CLIMATE ZONE DOES NOT CHANGE FROM HIGH TO LOW OF VICE VERSA. THIS CAUSING HEATING ISSUES IN COLDER WEATHER AND DEFROSTER ISSUES ON PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE.
DAMAGE TO OIL PAN FROM COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND
BRAKE PEDAL DOES NOT RAISE AFTER APPLY BRAKES REMAIN APPLIED OR BRAKE LIGHTS ON UNWANTED. THE CONDITION HAS HAPPENED IN HIGH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONDITIONS SO FAR AND MAY NOT BE REPEATABLE. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR CONDITION, THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE CHILDREN THAT RIDE IN MY CAR. THE BRAKES SEIZE UP, BAD SMELL COMING FROM THE TIRES. DRIVER MUST PULL UP ON THE BRAKE. THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF THE MANUFACTURER. DEALERSHIPS ARE CHARGING $1300 TO REPLACE, THE PART ITSELF IS $70.
THE WINDOW ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN THE REAR WAS FOUND TO BE SHATTERED. THE CAR WAS IN A PRIVATE HOME GARAGE, THERE WAS NO GLASS OUTSIDE THE GARAGE AND THE WINDOW GLASS WAS BOWED TOWARD THE OUTSIDE. THE CAR WAS UNLOCKED AND THERE WAS NOTHING MISSING. THUS THERE WAS NO VANDALISM, NO OBJECT FROM THE OUTSIDE HIT THE WINDOW, AND NOTHING FROM THE INSIDE HIT THE WINDOW. IT IS MY SUPPOSITION THAT THE GLASS WAS NOT TEMPERED CORRECTLY.I LIVE IN TAMPA AND IT WAS ~90 DEGREES THE DAY BEFORE I NOTED THE SHATTERED GLASS. I HAD BEEN USING THE AIR CONDITIONER.IF THE GLASS WAS NOT TEMPERED CORRECTLY THE CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE WOULD CAUSE THE GLASS TO SHATTER. THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM FOR OTHER WINDOWS IN MY CAR AND IN OTHER GM AUTOS. GENERAL MOTORS HAS REFUSED TO PAY THE $346 IT COST TO REPAIR THE WINDOW. THEY WANT TO "TEST" THE GLASS. THIS WOULD BE FINE, HOWEVER, THE GLASS HAS BEEN DISPOSED OF AND THE CHEVROLET DEALER TO WHOM I BROUGHT THE CAR INITIALLY STATED THAT GM WILL NOT COVER GLASS DAMAGE. THEREFORE THERE WAS NO REASON AT THE TIME TO KEEP THE GLASS. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. HAS ANYONE ELSE REPORTED THIS OCCURRENCE?
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR KEPT SHUTTING OFF AND THROWING IT INTO THEFT MODE...THIS HAPPENS ON DAILY BASIS NOW AND I'M SCARED IT WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE CONTINUOUS SHUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IN CERTAIN SPEEDS...I SEE THERE IS RECALLS ON THIS WHICH I DO KEEP GETTING THE ANTI THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM ERROR MESSAGE IN MY MAIN SCREEN WHEN THIS HAPPENS. CAR BOUGHT FROM THE DEALERSHIP AS USED WITH 28K MILES IN NOV 2014. IN MARCH 2015, THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO LOCK WHILE TURNING. MEANWHILE, THE SCREEN AND THE RADIO RESTARTS. THE LOCKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL HAPPENS UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMIT TO WHEN PARKING, CRUISING ON THE NEIGHBOURHOOD (SPEED BELOW 30 MPH), CHANGE LANES IN HIGHWAYS (SPEED AROUND 50 MPH), AND SEVERAL TIMES WHILE THE CAR WAS ACTUALLY PARKED WITHOUT MOTION. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN APRIL 2015 FOR THE FIRST TIME. IN THE FOLLOWING TWO YEARS UNTIL LAST WEEK (MARCH 2017), THE DEALERSHIP REPLIED "COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE" EVERY SINGLE TIME. IN THE RECENT SEVERAL TIMES OF ME VISITING THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE, THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY CABLES (WITH A CHARGE FOR $750), AND THE FUSE BOX (WITH A CHARGE OF $108), BUT STILL, THE PROBLEM EXISTS. THE LAST VISIT TO THE DEALER ENDS UP WITH THE ROUTINE REPLY OF "CAN NOT DUPLICATE" BUT THEY DID ADMIT THAT THERE IS INDEED AN ISSUE SINCE I SHOWED THEM A VIDEO I RECORDED WHEN THE ISSUE HAPPENS. THE LOCKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME WHEN I TRIED TO ROTATE THE STEERING WHEEL (TO MAKE TURNING WHILE DRIVING OR PARKING OF COURSE), BUT THE ISSUE IS THAT IT DOES NOT ALWAYS HAPPEN. IT ONLY HAPPENS EVERY NOW AND THEN. THAT IS WHY I AM STILL DRIVING IT AFTER TWO YEARS SINCE UNFORTUNATELY, THAT IS MY ONLY CAR. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SINCE THE LOCKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL ONLY LOCKS WHILE TURNING. IT CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND A LETHAL ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAYS. THE GM OFFERED ME A COUPON FOR SOME CREDIT TO BE APPLIED TO MY NEXT PURCHASE OF A NEW GM CAR BUT I DON'T THINK THAT IS A SOLUTION I CAN ACCEPT. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND POWERED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON; HOWEVER, THE WARNING INDICATOR WAS STILL ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SENSOR IN THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,500.
WAS SITTING IN MY SEAT ADJUSTING THE SEAT BY PUSHING THE BUTTON THAT HAD A SHORT WHEN I PUSHED THE BUTTON I HERD A CLICKING NOISE THEN I SMELT A FUME TYPE OF SMELL I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE WHEN THE SEAT WOULDN'T MOVE AS I LOOKED DOWN AT THE GEAR I NOTICE THAT THE DRIVER SEAT WHERE I WAS SITTING WAS ON FIRE EVERY WHERE THE CAR WAS WIRED IS WHERE THE FIRE BURNED UP I CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN WHICH THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A ELECTRICAL FIRE AND CAR INSURANCE CONFIRMED RECALL ON THE CAR HAD BEEN REPORTED FOR DOING THE SAME THING PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT I CALLED KIN DIXON WHERE I PURCHASE THE CAR AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY CAR ACCORDING TO THE VIN NUMBER I HAVE TO THEM WAS NOT AFFECTED BY RECALL I HAVE GM AND THEY HAVE YET TO RESPOND TO ME I COULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THERE NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS WHO LOST THEIR LIFE IN THERE DEFECTED RETORT CARS I WAS NOT BURNED BUT THE POOR CAR WAS TORCHED. *TR

THE FAILURE CONTINUED UNTIL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DIMMED COMPLETELY. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A LOOSE BATTERY CABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, WHILE TURNING THE VEHICLE, THE WHEELS SEIZED AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS DIMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,200.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
DRIVING 55MPH ON CRUISE CONTROL, I HEARD A WARNING CHIME. LOOKED AT DASH AND THE WORDS ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED WERE ON THE SCREEN. I LOOKED FOR A SYMBOL ON THE DASH TO TELL ME MORE AND SAW THE ENGINE SYMBOL WAS ON. THE CAR DIDN'T PERFORM OUT OF CHARACTER FROM ALREADY GOING 55 ON CRUISE. NOTHING CHANGED IN THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE. I CONTINUED TOWARD HOME AS THAT WAS MY DESTINATION AND WAS LESS THAN 15 MILES FROM HOME. I PARKED THE CAR IN MY GARAGE, TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, WAITED A FEW SECONDS, THEN STARTED THE ENGINE AGAIN. THE WARNING CAME ON RIGHT AWAY. I CALLED THE DEALER WHO I'M LEASING THE CAR FROM BUT IT WAS A SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND THEY WERE CLOSED. I DID LEAVE THEM A MESSAGE TO CALL ME ON MONDAY AND WHY. I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL I HEAR FROM THE DEALER AND HAVE A DATE AND TIME TO BRING IT IN BECAUSE OF THE CONCERN THE ENGINE COULD POWER DOWN AS I'M DRIVING ACCORDING TO INTERNET FORUMS I SINCE READ THAT OTHERS WITH THE SAME WARNING SAID THEIR CAR DID SLOW DOWN ON A FAST BUSY HIGHWAY. FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS, THE BRAKES ON THE CAR DO NOT RELEASE. THIS ISSUE STARTED DURING A SNOW STORM IN THE WINTER BUT HAS CONTINUED. IT IS NOT ALL THE TIME, BUT SEEMINGLY EVERY EVENING AFTER WORK THAT THE BRAKES ARE LOCKED UP. MORNINGS ARE USUALLY FINE. THE PEDAL STAYS DEPRESSED, WHICH I DIDN'T REALIZE FOR A FEW WEEKS, LEADING TO CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING, SLUGGISH MPG RATES, EXTRA WEAR ON THE BRAKE PADS, ENGINE STRAIN, LOWER SPEEDS THAN EXPECTED, NO COASTING, DIFFICULT ACCELERATIONS, AND TAIL LIGHTS STAYING ON AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE. THE PEDAL CAN BE RELEASED MANUALLY BY KICKING IT UP WITH YOUR FOOT, BUT THIS IS REALLY TIRESOME IN TRAFFIC AND LONG COMMUTES. *TR
DRIVER SEAT ELECTRIC CONTROL PANEL SEPARATED FROM SEAT WITHIN 2 YEARS OF PURCHASE OF THE NEW VEHICLE. THE PANEL HANGS OFF OF THE SEAT AND OVER TIME HAS CAUSED THE SEAT TO BECOME DAMAGED, WHICH THEN CAUSED PINCHING AND SCRATCHING OF DRIVER'S LEG. ADDITIONALLY, THE DRIVER'S ELECTRIC SEAT POSITION PANEL ONLY SELECTIVELY OPERATES, WHICH MEANS THERE ARE LIKELY SHORTS IN THE WIRING DUE TO THE HANGING AWAY FROM THE SEAT AND WEARING OVER TIME WITH NO PROTECTION BY THE PLASTIC WHICH WAS BUILT TO ENCASE IT. THE BUTTONS NO LONGER WORK TO MOVE THE SEAT 80% OF THE TIME, WHICH IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN THE DRIVER CHANGES AND MAY BE TALLER OR SHORTER AND NEEDS ADJUSTMENTS, THOUGH THE SEAT WILL NOT MOVE. SADLY, I HAVE CHECKED MY VIN WITH THE RECALLS AND I AM ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR ONE RECALL CURRENTLY AND IT STATES THAT GM DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS NECESSARY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I READ THAT GM IS WAITING FOR PARTS FROM CHINA AND I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE WASTING TIME WAITING FOR CHINA AND COULD USE COMPANY FROM UNITED STATES TO BUILD THE NEEDED PARTS. THE PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG SENSOR INDICATOR RINGS, EVEN WITH THE SLIGHTEST WEIGHT OF SOMETHING LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS SHOULD NOT OCCUR, AS IT SHOULD ONLY RING IF THERE IS A WEIGHT BEARING INDICATIVE OF A HUMAN, NOT JUST A NOTEBOOK. IF IT RINGS DAILY FOR A NOTEBOOK, THEN THE CONCERN IS WHETHER THE AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY PROPERLY WHEN A CRASH ACTUALLY OCCURS.

WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR NEVER DRIVES STRAIGHT, ALWAYS VEERING SLIGHTLY LEFT OR RIGHT. THE STEERING WHEEL STICKS WHEN YOU TRY TO CORRECT. PURCHASED THE CAR IN AUGUST 2013 (NEW), FACTORY INSTALLED STEREO WORKED FINE AT TIME OF PURCHASE. IN SEPTEMBER 2014 STEREO WOULD NOT READ MUSIC OFF PHONE WHEN PLUGGING IN THROUGH USB PORT IN VEHICLE, WHICH IS A FEATURE OF THE STEREO THAT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK. APPROXIMATELY 5 DAYS EARLIER I HAD JUST TAKEN THE CAR INTO A DEALERSHIP NEAR OUR HOME AND HAD THE OIL CHANGED AND TIRES ROTATED BUT NO ONE HAD ACKNOWLEDGED ANY PROBLEMS OR BULGES WITH ANY OF THE TIRES.. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE BOUGHT THE CAR WOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TIRE ISSUE. THEY STATED THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER TIRES AND WE WOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH GOODYEAR OURSELVES. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, I HAD DISCOVERED THAT MANY COMPLAINTS HAD BEEN MADE ON THESE PARTICULAR TIRES SUCH AS BULGES IN THE SIDEWALLS AND BLOWOUTS WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE. IT'S OBVIOUS THERE IS A DEFECT OF SOME KIND AND THESE TIRES NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. MY DAUGHTER SAID SHE NEVER RAN OVER ANYTHING, IT JUST POPPED ON ITS OWN. THANK GOD SHE HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE EXPRESSWAY AS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE IN THE VEHICLE WAS CAUSED BY THE CONTACT'S HEART PACE MAKER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,900. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE IN ORDER TO COOL THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,083.
I WAS ON THE ON RAMP, BEHIND ANOTHER CAR DRIVING TO GET ONTO THE HIGHWAY WHEN WE BOTH DROVE THROUGH A BIG PUDDLE OF WATER. THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED AND THE WATER CAME OVER THE HOOD OF MY CAR. MY CAR THEN STALLED AND I COASTED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ON RAMP. MY CAR WOULD NOT START. THE OTHER CAR CONTINUED DRIVING. NO WATER ENTERED MY VEHICLE. *TR
DRIVING UP HILL HAVING TO DECELERATE, THERE IS A HARD JERK AS IF THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED-THIS IS DANGEROUS DUE TO HUMAN REACTION TO ALSO QUICKLY TO APPLY THE BRAKES. THIS ISSUE HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT THAT THE VEHICLE HAD STRUCK SOMETHING OR HAD A MAJOR MALFUNCTION. IT ONLY LAST FOR A SECOND OF TIME. THE DEALER EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS JUST CHARACTERISTICS OF A 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION. THIS IS MY THIRD GM WITH A 6 SPEED AND THE OTHERS DID NOT DO THIS. *TR
