OWNER TOOK TRUCK TO HAVE SUSPENSION LIFTED. IN DOING SO, MECHANIC PLACED FAULTY REAR SHOCK MOUNTS ON TRUCK, WHICH BROKE WHILE DRIVING. AFTER REPAIRS WERE DONE ON SHOCKS,DRIVELINE STARTED VIBRATING. MECHANIC DID A PARTIAL REPAIR OF DRIVELINE, NOT RESOLVING FAILURE COMPLETELY. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS.*AK
THE TWO FRONT TIRES HAD TREAD SEPARATIONS AND BOTH TIRES WERE OUT OF ROUND AND COULD NOT BE BALANCED. *MJ PH
THE HITCH TO THE VEHICLE BROKE OFF. THE FRAME BROKE AND FELL OFF TO ONE SIDE. CONSUMER CONTACTED CHEVROLETS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED AS OF YET. *JG
ON THREE (3) SEPARATE OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAS BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS, ENOUGH SO, THAT I BECAME APPREHENSIVE TO ACCELERATE IN A PARKING SITUATION, SO THAT I WOULD LET THE VEHICLE PICK UP SPEED ON ITS OWN UNTIL I WAS OUT IN AN OPEN AREA. THE DEALER HAS "CLEANED " THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY ON EACH OCCURRENCE. AFTER THE LAST SERVICE HE CHARGED $65.00 FOR THIS SERVICE. UPON CHECKING YOUR WEBSITE I SEE THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED SITUATION. I FEEL THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THIS POTENTIALY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, AND THAT A "FIX" SHOULD MADE AVAILABLE AT NO CHARGE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. IN REGARD TO THE SECOND PROBLEM, I WAS VERY SURPRISED, AND DISAPPOINTED WHEN $1500 IN REPAIRS WAS NECESSARY TO REPAIR THE RING AND PINION ASSEMBLY IN THE REAR END. THE SERVICING DEALER IN ALL OF THESE INCIDENTS WAS NOT THE DEALER THAT I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM, BUT IT WAS TOM GIBBS CHEVROLET,BUNNELL, FL . (386) 437-3314. *AK

MODULE INSIDE FUEL TANK FAILED, ALLOWING FUEL PUMP TO OVERHEAT. THIS CAUSED INSULATION OF WIRES TO MELT WHICH WAS INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK

THE REAR BRAKE ROTORS ARE FLAKING AWAY IN LAYERS. THE OWNER FOUND THIS OUT WHEN THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN IN FOR STATE INSPECTION. NLM THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE WORN OUT PREMATURELY AND THE DEALER REPLACED IT. *YH
CONSUMER STATES THAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THE AUTO DOOR LOCKS FAILED AND THE PASSANGER SIDE HAD A SHORT CIRCUIT. NLM
CONSUMER STATE WHILE USING WINDSHIELD WIPER WITHOUT ANY INDICATION WIPER WOULD STOP WORKING CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO TAP WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR BOX TO RETURN TO NORMAL USE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE UPON PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL IT STICKS, IT FEELS AS IF IT RUBBING AND GRINDING. WHEN AT A STAND STILL UPON MOVING THE VEHICLE YOU HAVE TO STOMP THE PEDAL ALMOST TO TAKE OFF AGAIN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. MR
WITHIN 24,000 MILES, THE TRUCK HAS HAD TWO THROTTLE CONTROL VALVES REPLACED WHICH THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED WITH NO PROBLEM. THE VALVES CAUSED THE TRUCK TO RESPOND ABRUPTLY. MR INITIALLY THERE WAS A DELAY BEFORE THE THROTTLE PEDAL RESPONDED ABRUPTLY. CONSUMER IS CONCERNED THIS CONDITION COULD BE HAZARDOUS ON SLICK ROADS. *TT
THE THROTLE BODY GETS DIRTY AND STICKS AND THEN YOU GIVE IT MORE GAS THAN YOU INTEND AND HIT SOMETHING LIKE A GARAGE OR PERSON. HAS BEEN FIXED TWICE AND GM KNOWS THEY HAVE A PROBLEM BUT SAY IT IS UP TO ME TO KEEP FIXING IT SO I DON'T HAVE A ACCIDENT ALL THE SILVERADOS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM EVERY 25,000 MILES. IT IS AN ENGINEERING ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN

THE PARKING BRAKE DID NOT HOLD BECAUSE THE PARKING BRAKE PAD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HAD NOTHING TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. IT DROPPED DOWN AND DRUG AGAINST THE DRUM UNTIL IT WORE THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOE OUT. *JB *NLM

THE PARKING BRAKE WORE OUT AT 20,000 MILES. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AT REPAIRED THE PROBLEM BUT AT 53,000 MILES THE PROBLEM REOCCURRED. *NLM

THE DOORS AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED BY THEMSELVES. *JB
THE FUEL TANK COLLAPSED AND FUEL LEAKED ONTO THE GROUND. THE MECHANIC STATED THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JB
THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES ACTIVATED AT VERY LOW SPEEDS. THE PEDAL MOVED UPWARD AND DRIVER PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH FORCE BUT THE BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND. *NLM THE LEFT FRONT BRAKES FAILED 100% OF THE TIME AND THE RIGHT FRONT ASSEMBLY FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY/SENSORS WERE REPLACED. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD BECOME HARD AS A ROCK AND WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL BOTH FEET WERE PUSHED WITH MAXIMUM FORCE. *SCC
THE VEHICLE MADE A RATTLING SOUND WHILE DRIVING AND THE WHEELS FELT UNSTABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE RATTLING WAS COMING FROM THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT. *NLM

WHILE TRAVELING 5 MPH AND APPLYING BRAKES VE ABS SYSTEM KICKED IN WITHOUT ANY INDICATION ,CAUSING VEHICLE TO FLIP OVER.*AK
POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKE PUMP FAILED WHILE CONSUMER WAS PARKING A LARGE HORSE TRAILER. *MR PH
THE BRAKE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED. THE CONSUMER FELT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY A DESIGN DEFECT. THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM.*AK THE DEALER FOUND RUSTING WHICH CAUSED PREMATURE REPLACEMENT OF THE BRAKE ROTORS. *TT *JB
THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED THROTTLE STICKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. *TS *SCC *JB
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD COME TO A STOP, THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE MOTOR STARTED, THE PEDAL VIBRATED AND PUSHED BACK ADDING THE EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THIS WAS AN ONGOING PROBLEM BUT NOT CONSTANT. RECALL# 00V055000 *SCC *JB
VEHICLE HAS BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE. INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING BELOW 2O MPH AND BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR, BUT DOESN'T HOLD. DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN CONTACTED.*AK
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING THROTTLE PROBLEMS. WHILE DRIVING THROTTLE WILL STICK TO THE FLOOR. IT DOESN'T HAPPENED ALL THE TIME, BUT HE IS AFRAID THAT MAY CAUSE HIM TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. MANUFACTURER5 WAS NOT DCONTACTED. DEALER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT GMC HA ADDRESSED THE ISSUE. BUT IT WOULD COST THE CONSUMER IF IT WAS NOT BROKEN, AND THE WARRANTY WILL NOT REPLACE IT UNLESS BROKEN.*AK
WHEN THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE DRIVER HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE DRIVER TURNED IN A DRIVEWAY HE SAW SMOKE EMITTING FROM HE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. *PH *NLM
