TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO FULLY ACCELERATE HOWEVER, IT MOVED SLOWLY AND THEN STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED A BURNING ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT BOTH FRONT CALIPERS, THE CORES, THE ROTORS AND THE PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE FLUSHED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN AGAIN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER, BOTH REAR BRAKE HOSES, THE WHEEL CYLINDER, THE FRONT CYLINDER, THE BRAKE MONITOR VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,387. UPDATED 02/10/16*LJ *CN

THE KEY WAS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 40 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND POWER TRAIN WARING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT A MESSAGE STATING THAT THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED HAD ALSO APPEARED BEFORE THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY POSITION SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CLEANED AND THE COMPUTER WAS REPLACED BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
LTR RE PROBLEMS HE HAVING WITH HIS 2008 CHEVORLET SILVERADO 3500 IN WHICH HE SAYS PRESENTS A SIGNIFICANT LIFE SAFETY ISSUE; HE WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION TO BE CONDUCTED. *NJ WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY BEGAN TO INCREASE IN SPEED WITH NO ACTION FROM THE CONSUMER. THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKE, BUT SOON THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND SMOKE STARTED EMANATING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, HOWEVER AFTER A DIAGNOSES, NO CODES WERE FOUND TO DETERMINE THE RAPID ACCELERATION. *JB
