I WAS DRIVING ABOUT TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY AS I CAME TO ON RAMP I HEARD A NOISE AS CONTINUED SEEMED TO GET LOUDER SO I PULLED OVER AND HAD IT TOWED APPROX 70-80K MILES, REPLACED WHEEL BEARINGS SIDES. CONTINUOUS MULTIPLE MISFIRE, DRIVING VEHICLE STARTS TO SHAKE LOSS OF POWER... CALLAPS/ FROZEN LIFTER(S) WITH ONLY 110K, TAIL GATE LATCH HAVE TO BUNGEE TO KEEP CLOSED, TRANSMISSION REPLACED BEFORE RECOMMENDED FACTORY TANSMISSION/ TRANSFER CASE CHANGE... PROBLEMS RANGED FROM APPROX 2013 TO PRESENT. NOW DEALING WITH LIFTER(S)...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE FUEL FLOW CONTROL MODULE HAD MOISTURE IN IT, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,242.
CALLED CLASSIC CHEVY IN SUGARLAND A YEAR AGO ASKING ABOUT GETTING THE AIRBAGS REPLACED. WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CALLED WHEN THE PARTS GET IN. CALLED AGAIN TODAY AND WAS GIVEN THE SAME ANSWER. HOW CAN THIS BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE PARTS ARE NEVER IN STOCK?
4X4 TRANSFER CASE ENCODER MOTOR FAILS AND CAUSES YOUR SERVICE 4X4 LIGHT TO COME ON AND YOU CANT SELECT 4X4 ON YOUR VEHICLE.
THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE CRACKS ON MY DASH AROUND THE AIR BAG. OVER THE PAST MONTH THEY HAVE GROWN AND GOTTEN WORSE, ONE IS HUGE (ABOUT 7 INCHES LONG) AND THERE'S TWO MORE PIECES IN THE CORNER ABOUT TO FALL OUT AND ONE NEAR THE RADIO. I WOULD JUST LIKE GM TO PUT A NEW DASH IN FOR FREE SO I CAN COVER IT WITH A CARPET DASH AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT. THANKS
MY FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE PN20759945 SHORTED. RECALL BULLETIN 14515 COVERS MY MODEL YEAR AND PART NUMBER. HOWEVER, GM CLAIMS MY VIN IS NOT COVERED BY THIS. THIS IS THE SAME PART AND SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL BULLETIN, AND IMO IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM. FCPM'S ARE POORLY DESIGNED AND POORLY PLACED AND FAIL ON MANY MANY GM MODELS OVER A NUMBER OF YEARS. THIS IS AN ITEM THAT SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE ALL VEHICLES WITH THAT PART NUMBER, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE MOUNTED EXTERNALLY AND EXPOSED TO THE ENVIRONMENT SUCH AS ON ALL CHEVY SLIVERADOS AND RELATED TRUCKS. THE FAULT IN MY CASE WAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND NOT A CRANK NO START. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO GM FOR DIAGNOSIS. THEY SAID THE FCPM NEEDS REPLACED AS IT SHOWS AND INTERNAL FAULT. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE PART AND SERVICE,WHICH SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM UNDER THE BULLETIN IMO.
I FIND OUT THAT I HAVE A RECALL FOR MY TRUCK FOR THE AIRBAGS. THE CHEVROLET RECALL PERSONNEL STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RESULTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I CAN'T SELL THIS VEHICLE WITH A ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE GENERAL MOTORS TO MAKE A DECISION ON A REPAIR FOR THIS PROBLEM? THEY'VE ALREADY HAD SINCE 2016 TO MAKE A DECISION. THE ANSWER THAT I WAS GIVEN IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I WANT THIS FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL... WENT TO RON CARTER AUTOLAND IN ALVIN, TX. THEY LOOKED UP THE VIN NUMBER AND I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY HANDED ME THE PAPER THAT WAS IT.
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DASH COVER IS CRACKED AND MAKES WE WORRIED THE HEAT AND WEATHER WILL MAKE THE AIR BAG INFLATE UNNECESSARILY
I FIRST RECEIVED RECALL INFORMATION IN THE MAIL PERTAINING TO THE AIRBAGS ON MY VEHICLE AT THE END OF 2017. AROUND THE SAME TIME THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY DASHBOARD APPEARED AND HAS REMAINED DISPLAYED SINCE. I HAVE PERIODICALLY CHECKED WHETHER A REMEDY TO THE RECALL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED, BUT TO DATE THERE HAS NOT BEEN ONE. I AM NOW SEEING COMMERCIALS FOR ATTORNEY SERVICES REGARDING INJURIES DUE TO DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS IN VEHICLES IN MY MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR. SEEING AS MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ALREADY LIT UP, I WOULD LIKE TO AVOID AN INJURY TO MYSELF OR A PASSENGER IN MY VEHICLE.

IT'S BEEN OVER 2 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST NOTIFICATION FOR THIS RECALL AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT TO BE ACCOMPLISHED. THE NOTIFICATION CLEARLY NOTES THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN A HIGH HUMIDITY LOCATION THE THREAT OF THE PROBLEM BECOMES MUCH GREATER. I LIVE IN ORANGE PARK FL AND THE HUMIDITY IS HIGH MOST OF THE YEAR. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY AIRBAG RECALL HAS BEEN DELAYED. PLEASE TAKE ACTION TO HELP ME REMEDY THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THERE ARE INJURIES OR DEATH. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN A FEW MINUTES LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DAVE WHITE CHEVROLET (419-885-4444, LOCATED AT 5880 MONROE ST, SYLVANIA, OH 43560) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,199. *DT CONSUMER STATED ALL INFO IS CORRECT. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED STIVERS CHEVROLET AT (803) 254-1431 (LOCATED AT 111 NEWLAND RD, COLUMBIA, SC 29229) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 192,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. THIS NOTIFICATION CAME IN MAY OF 2016 AND THIS IS STILL NOT RESOLVED? SO AM I DRIVING AROUND WITH POSSIBLY A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG THAT MIGHT SEVERELY INJURE OR EVEN KILL ME OR A PASSENGER? IT SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS LONG TO "REMEDY" THIS ISSUE, SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED WAY BEFORE NOW.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLACE OUR AIRBAGS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED REPLACEMENTS. ALL THEY TELL ME IS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THESE TO BE MANUFACTURED SINCE 2016!!! SO WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MEANTIME? DO WE DRIVE AROUND WITH THESE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS HOPING THAT THEY DON'T KILL US? NO ONE IS GIVING US ANSWERS! THE FACT THAT THIS IS DRAGGING ON FOR SO LONG IS RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING SOMEONE CAN BE KILLED OR SERIOUSLY HURT BY THESE AIRBAGS.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE BELOW DRIVERS SEAT CORRODED DUE TO ACOUSTICAL PAD RETAINING MOISTURE. AIR BAG LIGHT AND INSTRUMENT SAFETY ISSUE. ALREADY RECALL ON CERTAIN VIN, HOWEVER MY TRUCK VIN NOT LISTED.

THE CONTACT CALLED REICHARD CHEVROLET AT 937-833-4011 (LOCATED AT 575 ARLINGTON RD, BROOKVILLE, OH 45309) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND SERVICE AIR BAG INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS RECOMMENDED, BUT WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSORS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 135,000. THE LIFTERS IN THE 5.3 ENGINES ARE COMPLETELY TRASH. EVERYONE WHO HAS A SILVER WITH THE 5.3 HAS TO CHANGE LIFTERS OFTEN. MY LIFTERS HAS WENT OUT 2 TIMES IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS. THIS IS A BIG FLAW IN THE SILVERADO. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 AN ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY ENGINE LIGHT STARTS FLASHING AND MY TRUCK STARTS TICKING AND MISSING REALLY BAD.

II WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL LAST YEAR AND THE LOCAL DEALER HAS NOT CONTACTED ME ABOUT FIXING THE RECALL AND THIS IS THE SECOND NOTICE FROM NHTSA ABOUT THE RECALL BUT THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP HAS NOT NOTIFIED ME OR REPAIRED MY VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR FROM THE FIRST NOTICE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 EQUIPPED WITH COOPER DISCOVERER A/T3 TIRES, SIZE: 275/70/R17 (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 72 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS IT RAN OFF THE ROADWAY AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL AND THE FRONT BUMPER WERE DAMAGED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE TIRE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
OUTSIDE CHROME DOOR HANDLES (3 OF FOUR) ARE EXTREMELY LOOSE AND FALLING OFF. ONE DOOR HANDLE FELL OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY IN ADDITION, THE BROKEN HANDLES DO NOT FASTEN SECURELY
ON MARCH 21, 2018, AT OR CLOSE TO 1:45 PM, WHILE DRIVING MY 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BEGAN ILLUMINATING AND PRODUCING AUDITABLE ALARMS. THE MESSAGE CENTER INDICATED TO 'CHECK OIL PRESSURE.' DURING THIS FAILURE, I LOST ALL MOTIVE POWER AND HAD TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF OF THE HIGHWAY'S TRAFFIC AS OTHER VEHICLES WERE FOLLOWING ME, ONE OF WHICH CAME VERY CLOSE TO REAR-ENDING ME. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A REPAIR FACILITY IN WHICH THEY HAD INDICATED THAT THIS WAS SOMETHING THEY HAD REPLACED, ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE ON AT LEAST FOUR PREVIOUS OCCASIONS. THE REPAIR FACILITY HAS INDICATED THAT IT WAS DUE TO AN 'OIL PUMP FAILURE' THAT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE ENGINE. THE MILEAGE IS 112,651; I SURE WOULD NOT EXPECT SUCH A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE THAT ENDANGERED OTHER MOTORISTS AND MYSELF. THERE WAS NOT ANY WARNING OF THIS FAILURE; THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD NOT BEEN ILLUMINATED BEFORE THIS FAILURE.
TAKATA INFLATOR. AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON, AND THEN TRUCK WOULD NOT START. TOOK IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY SAID THE AIR BAG MODULATOR WAS CORRODED AND NEEDS REPLACED. THAT IS WHY IT WILL NOT START. THEN FOUND OUT ABOUT THE TAKATA RECALL ON AIR BAGS.
TAKATA RECALL. MY VEHICLE IS AT RISK AND ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE IDENTIFIED AND I HAVE YET TO BE SUPPLIED WITH A FIX.
TAKARA RECALL - I TOOK MY SILVERADO RO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP ( DAYS CHEVROLET IN ACWORTH, GA). THE TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT REPLACING THE AIRBAGS AND GAVE ME A 1800 NUMBER AND WEBSITE ABOUT THE RECALL. MEANWHILE HONDA HAS REPLACED THE AIRBAGS IN MY BROTHER AND FATHERS CARS. HOW CAN CHEVROLET REFUSE TO REPLACE MY AIRBAGS WHICH COULD KILL ME OF MY PASSENGER IN A WRECK? PLEASE HELP AND MAKE GM FO THE RIGHT THING AND REPLACE MY AIRBAGS.

MY SILVERADO IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY RECALL, I WAS DRIVING MY TWO CHILDREN BACK HOME FROM SCHOOL, ALL OF A SUDDEN I LOST POWER IN THE PEDAL, THE CHECK ENGINE CAME ON, AND FLASHED REDUCED ENGINE POWER CAME ON, AT THIS TIME I HAD A LOG TRUCK BEHIND ME, I HAD NO PLACE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, SINCE THE SNOW BANKS HERE IN MAINE ARE HUGE, THIS WAS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, THE TRUCK ALMOST REAR ENDED ME, THERE SHOULD ME A RECALL ON MY TYPE OF PICKUP, WITH MY BOB NUMBER. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAMARA RECALL, I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT YOU BECAUSE JACK WILSON CHEVROLET AT 2255 US 1, SAINT AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA. 32086 HAD TOLD ME THAT THEY CAN'T FIX THE AIRBAGS IN MY TRUCK BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE FIX AND THAT ALL WE COULD DO WAS HOPE THE GOVERNMENT WOULD GET INVOLVED.

TAKATA RECALL MY VEHICLE IS LISTED AS A RECALL DUE TO THE AIR BAGS. CALLED A DEALER AND WAS TOLD: "GM HAS PERFORMED THEIR OWN TESTS AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. THEREFORE THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO REPLACING THE AIR BAGS." CALL WAS MADE 11/27/2017.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG SENSOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AT ALL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (HEIDEBREICHT CHEVROLET IN WASHINGTON, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT AIR BAG SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TAKATA RECALL GM HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS ISSUE FOR SOMETIME NOW AND AFTER CONTACTING DEALER WAS TOLD THERE IS NO FIX AS OF TODAY-NOV 12 2017 IN THE MEANTIME I AM STILL DRIVING A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE VEHICLE

TAKATA RECALL. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 1.5 YEARS SINCE THE RECALL AND GM HASN'T FIXED THE ISSUE. WHEN WILL THE NHTSA FORCE GM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. GM'S RESPONSE IS THAT THEY FEEL THE TRUCK IS SAFE TO DRIVE. THAT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.
