Tire size 285/45R22 114H . While driving on the interstate at 70 mph had a large vibration that started occurring. When I was pulling over to figure out what was going on I heard a loud bang and suddenly lost air pressure to the Drivers side front tire. Once pulled over I could see the tire was flat. Upon removal of the tire I found the inner sidewall had blown. The tread was also separating in the area where the damage was. The tires are only 2.5 years old and have only 22.5k miles. They have been rejuvenate rotated with the last rotation just 3k miles prior. The company refused to honor their warranty stating it looked like the damage was caused by a pothole (which never occurred).
DRIVING AT 2 MILES AN HOUR OR 65 MILES AN HOUR I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH A BAD VIBRATION AND A SHAKING COMING UNKNOWN SOURCE. IT FEELS LIKE I'M HITTING POTHOLES THAT ARE A FOOT DEEP WHEN TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD IT HAPPENS IN VARIOUS TIMES I COULD BE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT SCARES ME TO THE POINT WHERE I HAVE TO PULL OVER THE VIBRATION IS IN A FLOORBOARD THE GAS PEDAL THE BRAKE PEDAL IT CONTINUES TO GET WORSE EVERYDAY I'VE HAD IT TO THE SHOP ONE TO TWO TIMES A MONTH FOR OVER A YEAR. WHEN TRAVELING ON A REGULAR COUNTY ROAD IT HAPPENS IT HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY IT HAPPENS IN PARKING LOTS THE VIBRATION THAT I'M FEELING FROM THE FLOORBOARD INTO THE GAS PEDAL THE BRAKE PEDAL IS A ALL-THE-TIME THING AT A IDLE IT HAS A BAD VIBRATION COMING FROM THE MOTOR THE SHOP CANNOT FIND OUT NONE OF MY PROBLEMS I'VE HAD IT IN THE SHOP AND SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON IN AND NO ONE SOURCE OF VIBRATION AND UNKNOWN SOURCE OF WHY IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE A FLAT SPOT WHERE I'M HITTING POTHOLES ALL THE TIME FROM THE FRONT END I'VE HAD THREE SETS OF TIRES ON IT
TIRE TREAD IS DELAMINATING. HAVE SEEN EARLY RECALL FOR SAME TIRE BUT NOT COVERING MANUFACTURING TIME FRAME FOR MY TIRES. THEY ARE CONTINENTAL CROSS CONTACT LX20 MANUFACTURED (2516). ORIGINAL RECALL DATE 10/5/16 COVERING MANUFACTURING PERIOD 5/3/15 THRU 5/9/15. RECALL LISTED DESCRIBES EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO TIRES ON MY TRUCK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL CROSSCONTACT LX20 ECO PLUS TIRES, SIZE: P275/55/R20. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THERE WAS A VIBRATION IN THE TIRES. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED FROM THE FRONT DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SCHUMACHER CHEVROLET OF DENVILLE (281 US-46, DENVILLE, NJ 07834) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL THE CHARGES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTINENTAL MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-847-3349 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL, AND THAT THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
OUR CHEVROLET SIVERADO 1500 2017 HAD A BLOW OUT ON THE FREEWAY IN TRACY, CA (HWY 205) WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM ROSEVILLE, CA. WE CALLED OUR INSURANCE ROADSIDE EMERGENCY AND THE SERVICE PERSON TOLD US THE BLOWOUT LOOKS BAD AND THAT WE WERE VERY LUCKY.
THE TRUCK WOULD GO OUT ALIGNMENT WITH NORMAL DRIVING AND THEY REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARING ONCE AND BAD ALREADY. IT BEEN ONLY TWO MONTH SINCE THEY REPLACE THE BEARING.
I PURCHASED A NEW, 2016 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 IN AUGUST OF THIS YEAR. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A VIBRATION RELATED PROBLEM AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN MY TRUCK. I HAVE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT ON THE VEHICLE ON THIS SITE. AFTER DAYS OF FRUSTRATION WITH GM AND CONTINENTAL TIRE COMPANY, I CAME ACROSS ATTIRE RECALL FOR THE EXACT TIRE ON MY TRUCK GIVING ME THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE A HIGH SPEED VIBRATION. THE DEALER HAS COMPLETED A ROAD FORCE BALANCE THAT THEY SAY MEETS GM SPECS. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALER SAYS HE TOO CAN FEEL THE VIBRATION, BUT HAS NO AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED. IT HAS BEEN A DOG AND PONY DANCE FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS. GM HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX MY ISSUE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE EXACT TIRES ON MY TRUCK FOR THE SAME ISSUE, BUT MY TIRES DO NOT FALL IN THE LOT OF TIRES RECALLED. I BELIEVE THERE IS STILL A MANUFACTURE DEFECT IN MY TIRES! THE RECALL NOTICE IS AS FOLLOWS:NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16T016000 . I HAVE LOGGED A COMPLAINT WITH CONTINENTAL. I HAVE VISITED DISCOUNT TIRE STORE IN WOODSTOCK GA. THEY ARE AN AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR FOR CONTINENTAL. CONTINENTAL EXPECTS ME TO PAY FOR A NEW SET OF TIRES AND WAIT OR THEIR ANALYSIS TO DECIDE IF I WILL BE REIMBURSED. MEANWHILE, GM IS DOING NOTHING AS OF YET EXCEPT STALLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. NO PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE I BELIEVE THERE IS STILL AN ISSUE WITH THESE TIRES. THE DISCOUNT TIRE STORE MANAGER SAID HE HAD ANOTHER SILVERADO CUSTOMER WITH THE SAME TIRE AND COMPLAINT COME IN A WEEK PRIOR TO ME . THAT CUSTOMER WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH A DIFFERENT DEALER HE PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THE TIRE ISSUE IS ADDRESSED? WHO IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR MY WIFE TO TAKE TO COURT SHOULD IT HAPPEN TO ME? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS IMMEDIATELY. *TR
TREAD SEPARATION ON BRIDGESTONE TIRES DURING NORMAL OPERATION, TRAVELLING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT NORMAL SPEED. TIRES WERE FACTORY INSTALLED AND AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT HAD APPROXIMATELY 9,500 MILES ON THEM. TIRE, FORTUNATELY, DID NOT DEFLATE BUT A LARGE SECTION OF THE TREAD SEPARATED AND RELEASED FROM THE TIRE. VEHICLE IS OWNED BY AVIS.
NO FAILURE, JUST POOR PERFORMANCE. GOODYEAR EAGLE LS-2 ON A 2016 SILVERADO. TIRES WERE SO OUT OF BALANCE THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHOOK AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE SHOP HAD TO REPLACE SEVERAL TIRES AS THEY COULD NOT BE BALANCED. DEFECTIVE TIRES!
