The Rear Window leaks when it rains on the truck. I brought it back to the GM Chevy dealer and they applied a sealant. it immediately leaked right after. the truck now smells musty and im assuming there is mold growth. it has been at the dealership for the past two weeks while they try to figure it out
Lifter failure in the motor ALso, leaking in back window
My 2020 Chevrolet Silverado rear window leaks causing mold on headliner and carpeting and if running electric defrost during rain it makes a sizzling noise afraid of electrical issues as well if not correct and the mold makes the interior environment unsafe for breathing
Rear sliding plastic window frame cracks and allows water to seep into the cab. Hardware and metal brackets have rusted, electrical components may be at risk of shorting out. Mold and mildew can be smelled on warm days, which poses a health risk. Complete window has been replaced twice and original and replacements have all been resealed as a "repair" but has failed on all attempts. Headliner has been replaced once and is currently stained again due to another leak. No updated GM part exists to remedy the known issues.
The back window is leaking water into the cab. Water enters the cab any time it rains or when washing the truck. This water is creating a damp environment by soaking into the back of the seat, the carpet, and the headliner, creating the potential for black mold. Immediately after purchasing the truck, the dealership had me bring it back in so they could fix it. Ever since the repair from the dealership, the window has continued to leak at the same rate that it did before the fix.
The tailgate opens up while vehicle is in drive. No warning lights come on, the only way I knew is that people driving beside us flagged us down. The pickup bed was full of our luggage… luckily, nothing fell out. This has happened at least 3-4 times. The last time, we were towing our travel trailer, the tailgate opened up while we were driving and got caught on our tongue jack and propane tanks…damaging the tailgate and propane tanks.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked inside the garage, he noticed a crack on the frame and there was water running back into the interior of the cabin and the backrest of the seat. There were no warning lights illuminated. On a separate occasion, the contact experienced water entering the cabin while it was raining due to the frame cracks. The contact contacted the water doctors and provided a diagnosis of frame crack in multiple locations, allowing water to enter the cabin of the vehicle and underneath the spoiler. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because it was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The frame of the truck is excessively rusty and the manufacture undercoating has flaked off. All components of the frame and underbody have significant rust for the age of the vehicle. This was just addressed with the dealership who stated there was no warranty to cover it. There has been no service done to the frame and all preventative maintenance and service checks have been done at the dealership on time. It was just recently noticed to be so rusty. This poses a problem with the safety of the frame of the vehicle which can lead to cracks, broken welds, holes, etc.
While driving hauling trailer, tailgate randomly flew down, could have been very very bad had someone been behind me when wheel barrow flew out of the back. It severely damaged my tailgate when it flew down, and then got wedged between top of trailor.
I am concerned of the blind spot created by the size of the right and left support structures on either end of windshield. They also have a grab handle attached to them increasing the size. When at a stop and looking for cross traffic they create a blind spot of approaching vehicles. I believe this was why I thought no traffic was approaching when i entered roadway and then saw a vehicle approaching from the left. I immediately came to a stop and avoided an accident luckily.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that upon purchase of the vehicle, he noticed an orange-colored rust underneath the chassis of the vehicle. The salesman assured him that the rust would be cleaned off once the sale was finalized. Months later, the contact noticed the same orange colored rust had returned. Upon inspection of the vehicle, he discovered severe corrosion located in several spots on the subframe. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer for the repair. The contact then received a call back from the dealer and was informed that no corrosion was found, the dealer linked the failure to structural rust. The contact disputed the diagnoses and the dealer agreed to have a further inspection performed on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
VEHICLE BOUGHT NEW FROM DEALER DEC 2020. I DECIDED TO REPLACE SOME LIGHTS SO, I LOWERED THE SPARE TIRE FOR BETTER ACCESS WHILE REPLACING A LIGHT BULB. I NOTICED EVERYWHERE THE SPARE TIRE AND THE FRAME CROSS MEMBERS COME INTO CONTACT THE PAINT HAS RUBBED AWAY AND RUST HAS BEGUN TO FORM. ALSO, THE SIDEWALL OF THE SPARE TIRE HAS CORRESPONDING SPOTS WHERE THE RUBBER HAS WORN AWAY. THIS LEADS ME TO HAVE CONCERNS AS TO THE SPARE TIRE'S AVAILABILITY IN THE EVENT OF A FLAT.
The passenger door is attached properly, when the truck reach 70 mph or higher and little cross wind, there is really loud noise like the brakes sticking. I was afraid the door might flew off while I'm driving and I have infant in the back. I took the truck in to the dealership where I purchased and the problem was never fixed. when I took the truck back the 2nd time, the dealership told me to take my truck to GM dealership. I took the truck to the GM dealership hour later my truck was ready, apparently this problem happened to another vehicle. Now the noise is worst and it's on both side when I'm driving 70mph or higher with cross wind. I took the truck back to the dealership and now I'm waiting on parts to arrive 2 weeks later no call back. It's been one year 6 months with less than 19000 miles, afraid the doors might pop off and still the problem is not fixed.
