Additionally, the contact stated that she heard clicking sounds while making turns. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact drove to her residence and parked the vehicle. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
4 ASPEN TOURING TIRES PURCHASED IN 8/2015. IN DEC 2015, 1 OF THE TIRES BLEW OUT. BIG O SAID IT WAS SOMETHING OWNER RAN OVER BUT OWNER SAYS SHE DID NOT RUN OVER ANYTHING AND THE BLOW OUT WAS ON THE SIDE NOT ON THE TREAD. OWNER REPLACED WITH NEW ASPEN TOURING TIRE ON 1/14/2016. ON 3/6/2016, OWNER NOTICED A BLISTER ON THE SIDEWALL OF ONE OF THE TIRES. SHE WILL NEED TO REPLACE ANOTHER ONE OF THE TIRES BEFORE IT BLOWS OUT. 2 TIRES IN 6 MONTHS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET SONIC EQUIPPED WITH HANKOOK OPTIMO H428 (NA) TIRES, SIZE P195/65R15 (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR FACTORY TIRE SIDEWALLS WERE SEVERELY CRACKED AND THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE THREAD HAD BEGUN TO SEPARATE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED GM AND HANKOOK OF THE FAILURE. ONLY THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
