THE VEHICLE IS IN AWD OR 4-WHEEL DRIVE - STEP ON THE GAS AFTER BEING STOPPED, THE TRANSMISSION SOUNDS AS IF IT IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF. WHEN IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE THE VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT TO TURN. ALSO, REAR HEATER TAKES 30 MINUTES TO HEAT UP, AND THEN ONLY BLOWS LUKE WARM AIR WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. MANUFACURER STATES BY DESIGN.*AK
REAR END WENT OUT ON THREE OCCASIONS. DEALER HAS REBUILT REAR END ONCE AND REPLACED RING AND PINION WEARING AND SEAL. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING THE ABS BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT WARNING RESULTING IN TOTAL BRAKE LOSS. *YH
CONSUMER PURCHASED VEHICLE ADVISING DEALER HE DID NOT WANT FIRESTONE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THE TIRES WERE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WANDERS ON THE HIGHWAY, AND THERE IS HYDROPLANNING ON WET SURFACES AND IT HANDLES POORLY, THE DEALER RELEASED SOME OF THE AIR OUT OF THE TIRES, CONSUMER IS HAVING TROUBLE IN DETERMINING WHAT PRESSURE TIRES SHOULD BE INFLATED TO. *JG (FIRESTONE STEELTEX R45 LT245/75R 16E)
RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WILL PIN THE OCCUPANT IN THE SEAT SO HARD THAT YOU CAN NOT MOVE. THE OWNER WAS INFORMED THAT THIS IS A DESIGN FEATURE TO ASSIST WITH RESTRAINING CHILD SAFETY SEATS. NO ONE WILL RIDE IN THE RIGHT FRONT SEAT DUE TO THE TIGHTENING OF THE SHOULDER BELT. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. MR
THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT LOCKED UP SO TIGHT, THE PASSENGER WAS UNABLE TO MOVE. THE SEAT BELT DID NOT GIVE ANY ROOM FOR MOVING COMFORTABLY. *JB
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, AND THE NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *JB
WHILE TRAVELING 60 MPH WITHOUT ANY INDICATION LEFT REAR TIRE LOST THE TREAD, BUT STILL HAD AIR IN TIRE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE FUEL PUMP FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO SHUT DOWN. *JB
WHILE DRIVING, THE ACCELERATOR BECAME STUCK WHICH WAS CAUSED BY AN ACCELERATOR CABLE FAILURE. THE PARTS WERE REPLACED. *AK THE ACCELERATOR WOULD ALSO STICK WHEN STOPPED. THE PRESSURE MUST BE APPLIED TO THE GAS PEDAL UNTIL IT SUDDENLY RELEASED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LURCH FORWARD. THE CONSUMER ALSO EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS 2000 SUBURBAN. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY SEVERAL GARAGES IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM FROM THE 1999'S ON UP WITH CHEVROLET; GMC, SUBURBAN, TAHOE, AND PICK UP'S. *SCC *JB
WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE GEAR SHIFT LOCKED UP. THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY GO INTO REVERSE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALER STATED THAT A PIECE OF METAL GOT LOOSE AN TORE UP THE TRANSMISSION. *AK
VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN WHEN DRIVING 20-25 MPH IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA.*AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT INTERMIDIATE STEERING SHAFT PROBLEM. CONSUMER WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE LUBRICATION OF THE SHAFT. *AK
THE CONSUMER HEARD A MOTOR RUNNING. IT WAS LATER DETERMINED THAT IT WAS THE ABS MOTOR. THIS OCCURRED WHILE KEY WAS IN "OFF" POSITION. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACE THE ABS MOTOR AND MODULE. *NM
THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 65 MPH THEN SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO 90 MPH. THE DRIVER HAD TO SHUT OFF ENGINE IN ORDER TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE DRIVER WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO PROBLEM, HOWEVER THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS TOO COLD. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
UPON INSPECTION OF THE TIRES BY THE DEALERSHIP, WHILE DOING AN OIL CHANGE, THEY NOTICED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES WERE EXPERIENCING TREAD SEPARATION. *AK *LA
