BOUGHT 4 BF GOODRICH LONG TRAIL TIRES FOR 2003 1/2 TON CHEVY SUBURBAN 4 WHEEL, IN THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF USE, TIRES EDGE(S) "BITE" AT HIGH SPEEDS 60-70 MPH CREATING LACK OF CONTROL IN MODERATE WINDS, NOT ONLY WAS CAR PUSHED IN MODERATE WIND BUT ACTUALLY WENT OUT OF CONTROL DANGEROUSLY. *AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT HIS 2 YR OLD SON WAS ABLE TO PULL HIS VEHICLE OUT OF PARK WITHOUT STEPPING ON THE BRAKES. HE STATED THAT THE CHILD WAS IN THE VEHICLE AND WAS APPARENTLY PLAYING WITH THE GEAR SHIFTER. HE THEN MOVED THE SHIFT LEVEL CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARD HITTING A POLE AND BENDING HIS FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. HE STATED HE DOES NOT THINK THIS VEHICLE HAS A SHIFT INTERLOCK, WHICH WILL NOT ALLOW THE GEAR SHIFTER TO BE MOVED WITHOUT STEPPING ON THE BRAKES FIRST. HE STATED HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY DID NOT KNOW THIS EITHER. THE CONSUMER STATED THE INTERLOCK ONLY WORKS WHEN THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION TO DRIVE. *JB
WHILE MAKING A TURN LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. THEN, EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN. CONSUMER LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER OR BRAKE. AFTER STRUGGLING CONSUMER MANAGED TO PULL THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER WAITING A FEW MINUTES CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT HAD NO POWER. CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A CHEVROLET DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT A SHORT IN A FUEL PUMP WIRE CAUSED A FUSE TO BLOW OUT, WHICH IN TURN, SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. CONSUMER STATED THAT DEALER PUT VEHICLE ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE, AND THE MAIN COMPUTER SHOWED NO FAILURE. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT THERE HAD BEEN SOME OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. *AK
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2003 CHEVY SUBURBAN EQUIPED WITH FACTORY INSTALLED WRANGLER AT 265/70/17 TIRES.WHILE TOWING A BOAT IN A SNOW SQUALL,I LOST ALL TRACTION ON AN OVERPASS RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF THE BOAT,MOTOR AND TRAILER UPSIDE DOWN IN A DITCH.FORTUNATELY THE VEHICLE AND WE SURVIVED,BUT THE $15,000 BOAT WAS A TOTAL LOSS.ALSO WHILE BACKING DOWN A BOAT RAMP THAT WAS SLIPPERY,WE ALMOST ENDED UP IN THE RIVER AS WE SLID MOST OF THE WAY DOWN THE RAMP.AFTER I EXITED THE VEHICLE,IT SLID ANOTHER 5 FEET ONLY STOPPING WHEN IT HIT THE SAND AT THE WATER'S EDGE.AFTER PUTTING LARGE STONES BEHIND THE REAR WHEELS,WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE BOAT ON THE TRAILER,ONLY TO EXPERIENCE NO TRACTION AT ALL EVEN IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WHILE TRYING TO GET UP THE RAMP.AFTER MUCH TIRE SPINNING WE WERE FINALLY ABLE TO INCH OUR WAY UP THE RAMP.WE SEEMED TO BE ONLY ONES HAVING THIS MUCH TRACTION PROBLEMS AS A FEW VEHICLES LAUNCHED AND RETRIEVED BOATS AFTER US WITH LITTLE DIFFICULTY.THESE TIRES MAKE NO SENSE ON A VEHICLE THAT SPENDS THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME ON THE HIGHWAY AND NOT IN A MUD HOLE,THE TRACTION SEEMS TO DISAPPEAR ON WET OR SLIPPERY SURFACES.I HAD TWO SETS OF FIRESTONE STEELFLEX TIRES ON MY PREVIOUS SUBURBAN AND NEVER ONCE HAD PROBLEMS WITH TRACTION LIKE I DO NOW.*AK
PAINT PEELING FROM DASH BOARD. WITH AIR ON, COULD FLY INTO INFANTS MOUTH AND/OR EYES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW EXPLODED OUT OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONSUMER STATES THAT, "THERE WAS NO OBJECTS THAT HIT THE WINDOW. *AK
TRANSFER CASE MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING IT TO GO FROM 4-WHEEL DRIVE TO 2-WHEEL DRIVE BY ITSELF. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL, AND ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. DEALERSHIP SERVICED VEHICLE 3 TIMES, AND REPLACED THE SWITCH AND THE BOX, BUT THE PROBLEM RECURRED.*AK
THERE IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW IN THE WAY THE 2002 CHEVY SUBURBAN IS MANUFACTURED. WORK WITH ME....IF YOU HAVE A CAR SEAT, WHICH MOST EVERYONE DOES IF THEY OWN A SUBURBAN, AND IT IS BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT...YOU CAN'T GET TO THE THIRD REAR SEAT, BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE TO MOVE THE CAR SEAT EVERY TIME YOU WANTED TO ACCESS THE THIRD SEAT. SO WE THOUGHT IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE REAR THIRD SEAT WE WOULD JUST MOVE THE CAR SEAT BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT, HOWEVER THERE IS NO LATCH MECHANISM LOCATED THERE. *JB APPARENTLY WE ONLY HAVE LATCH IN THE SECOND SEAT IN THE MIDDLE AND BEHIND. *JB THE PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE OWNED THREE SUBURBANS AND PURCHASED OUR NEW ONE IN 2003 SPECIFICALLY FOR THE LATCH UPGRADE.
WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW FREEZING, THE SUPPLEMENTAL BRAKE ASSIST IS LOUD, CAUSING A VIBRATION THROUGH THE ACCELERATOR AND EVEN STEERING WHEEL. VERY UNSETTLING AND UNNERVING PLUS OBNOXIOUS. *AK
2003 SUBURBAN ROLLED OVER IN ROAD AFTER TRYING TO AVOID CHAIR THAT WAS OBSTRUCTING MIDDLE LANE. *LA
OIL PUMP FAILURE WITH ONLY 5,000 MILES ON ENGINE. GM WANTS TO EXTEND WARRANTY AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. WITH NO OIL CIRCULATION INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE POSSIBLE AND RELIABILITY/SAFETY/TRUSTWORTHINESS OF ENGINE IN QUESTION. WANT GM TO REPLACE MOTOR BUT THEY WANT ME JUST ACCEPT EXTENDED WARRANTY AND GO AWAY. AS A CONSUMER I BELIEVE THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT THE RISK OF FURTHER ENGINE FAILURE AND WANT A REPLACEMENT BASED ON SUBSTANTIAL IMPAIRMENT AND VALUE IMPAIRMENT AS WELL AS SUBSTANTIAL LOSS OF USE (BEEN IN REPAIR 18 DAYS SINCE FEBRUARY). *LA
DT: THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2003 CHEVY SUBURBAN. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT SHE HAD THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH SINCE SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NOVEMBER 12, 2003. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN GOING BAD, THE FEATURE RECORD SHOWED IT WAS REPROGRAMMING IT SELF, SHUTTING HER CAR OFF AFTER SHE STARTED IT, UNLOCKING THE DOORS BY ITSELF. SHE ALMOST HIT SOMEONE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED BY ITSELF. SHE ALSO STATES THAT THE LAST TIME IT WAS IN THE SHOP HER RPMS WENT UP TO 3000. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP HAS SPOKEN TO THE GM SPECIALIST AND THEY COULD NOT HELP EITHER. *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION STOPPED SHIFTING. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER, WHO FOUND A SPLIT IN A TRANSMISSION GASKET WHICH CAUSED THE CLUTCH AND PISTON NOT TO FUNCTION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND WOULD START TO SHIFT BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD GEARS VEHICLE WOULD GIVE A STRONG JERKING MOTION. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, AND MECHANIC COULD NOT LOCATE CAUSE OF PROBLEM.*AK
1. 2003 SUBURBAN Z71 , RATTLE AND CLUNK IN STEERING COLUMN, NOTHING LOOSE IN THE STEERING JUST CLUNKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING SHAFT HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. 2. SECOND ROW MIDDLE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT AND UNABLE TO FASTEN BELT WITHOUT FORCE. CORRECTED 3. LATCHES LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE SECOND ROW SEATS TO HOLD UP THE THIRD ROW FLOOR BOARDS WHEN USING THIRD ROW HAVE BROKEN NUMEROUS TIMES (LATCHES ARE PLASTIC WHICH MAKES NO SENSE) 4. PAINT ON THE REAR BUMPER AND LEFT BY GAS TANK FILL RUSTED (THIS WAS CORRECTED) 5. DRIVER SEAT MOTOR RUNS AFTER VEHICLE TURNED OFF. THIS HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE DEALERS ATTENTION MANY TIMES AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM. 6. REAR ACCESS DOOR WEATHER STRIPING STRETCHED. 7. TRUCK FAILED TO START FOR NUMEROUS REASONS OTHER THEN DEAD BATTERY. FUEL TANK PUMP MODULE WENT BAD. CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENSOR WENT BAD. THE MOST RECENT OF 1/20/07 HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AS THE TRUCK IS NOT RELIABLE. INFACT MY 1994 FORD EXPLORER IS MORE RELIABLE THEN THIS TRUCK PROBLEMS BEGAN IN 2003, STARTING WITH 2ND ROW SEAT BELT ISSUES 8. EXCESSIVE SQUEAKING FROM FRONT END, NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS MADE TO DEALER, BELTS REPLACED AND PULLEYS CLEANED SEVERAL TIMES THEN PULLEYS READJUSTED. 9. LEFT REAR DOOR FAILED TO OPEN. *TR
REGULAR HARSH ENGAGEMENT ON MY 2003 CHEVROLET TAHOE TRANSMISSION. 1) HAD A HUGE CLUNK WHEN HAVING TO SUDDENTLY STOP ON ONE OCCASION - SOUNDED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING TO DROP/BAM. 2) ON AN UNPREDICTABLE BASIS THE TRANSMISSION HARSHLY ENGAGES WHEN GOING SHIFTING AT THE SLOWER SPDS. 3) BROUGHT TO SERVICE DEALOR AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGE PROBLEM DURING A TEST DRIVE "THAT NEEDS TO BE CK'D OUT". THEY SAID THEY FIXED. 4) PROBLEM WAS WORSE WHEN CAR WAS RECEIVED BACK (HAVE NO IDEA IF CAR WILL EVER BAM/CLUNK/WHAM/DROP AGAIN AS I NORMALLY DON'T SUDDENLY STOP BUT WHATEVER THAT WAS IT CERTAINLY WASN'T GOOD FOR THE TRANSMISSION). I REPORTED THE FREQUENCY OF THE HARSH ENGAGEMENTS ACTUALLY WERE MORE OFTEN AND THEY THEN CHANGED THERE TUNE CITING A SERVICE BULLETIN SAYING IT'S NORMAL ". 5) NOW 15,000 MILES LATER OF HARSH ENGAGEMENTS I'M SENSING SOME SLIPPAGE AND THOSE HARSH ENGAGEMENTS ARE NOW HARSHER. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF MY TAHOE AND AM VERY CONCERNED OF THE FUTURE OF THE TRANSMISSION IN THAT GM & BELZERS ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM THEN SAID GM SAYS NOT TO DO ANYTHING. CAR STILL RUNS BUT IT VERY ANNOYING WHEN DRIVING IN THE CITIES STOP AND GO TRAFFICE...A CLUNK CLUNK HERE AND A CLUNK CLUNK THERE HERE A CLUNK THERE A CLUNK. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!*AK
WHILE DRIVING WITH HEADLIGHTS ON THEY WOULD FLICKER OFF AND ON INTERMITTENTLY. THIS WOULD CAUSE POOR VISIBILITY FOR THE DRIVER AT NIGHT. HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP, AND MECHANIC COULD NOT LOCATE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.*AK
THE VEHICLE CUT OFF. THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE STILL CUT OFF ON THE HIGHWAY, HOWEVER, THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY DEFECT. *AK
NUMEROUS PROBLEMS, REPLACED STEERING SHAFT, INNER TIE RODS, FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS, IDLER ARM AND RELAY ROD, POWER STEERING PUMP AND GEAR ASSEMBLY. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL LEADS ITSELF AND ESSENTIALLY LOCKS INTO A HARD RIGHT OR LEFT TURN AND RARELY AUTOMATICALLY RELEASES FROM THE TURN BY ITSELF. CONTINUED PROBLEMS WITH THE FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE FOUR TIRES WERE CUPPED. *TC
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER 300 MILES TRAVEL. HARD SHIFT FROM FIRST TO SECOND (FELT LIKE TRANSMISSION DROPPED FROM VEHICLE. THIS FIRST OCCURRED SIX MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE OF 2003 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN (NEW). DEALER RE-PROGRAMMED TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. SAME PROBLEM ON RETURN TRIP FOUR DAYS LATER, AND SIX MORE TIMES IN THE PAST 2 1/2 YEARS. FOUR SEPARATE GM DEALERS, IN TWO STATES, HAVE ATTEMPTED FIX VIA: 1. RE-PROGRAM TCM, 2. REPLACE TRANSMISSION SOLENOID, 3. REPLACE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY AND RE-PROGRAM TCM. STILL NOT FIXED.*JB
WHILE PARKED REAR WINDOW EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING.*AK
SEAT BELT STRAPS IN THE DRIVER'S AND MIDDLE SEAT IN THE SECOND ROW BECOME TIGHT TO THE POINT THAT THE PASSENGER MUST UNBUCKLE THE SEAT BELT AND REATTACH AS THE RIDE PROGRESSES. ALSO, THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT HAS RELEASED ON A NUMBER OF OCCASSIONS SENDING MY DAUGHTER FLYING TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE IN HER CAR SEAT ON HARD BRAKING. SECOND, THE AUDIO CONTROLS BEHIND THE CENTER CONSOLE BECOME EXTREMELY HOT, EVEN MORE SO WHEN THEY ARE IN USE.
2003 CHEVRLOET SUBURBAN, POSSIBLY OTHER SUVS AND TRUCKS BASED ON THE SAME OR SIMILAR CHASSIS (E.G. SILVERADO) ACCORDING TO PERSONAL RESEARCH: <P> VEHICLE IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WITH REGARDS TO STEERING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS AND SOMETIMES EVEN AT LOW SPEEDS AT THE SLIGHTEST INFLUENCE OF "EXTERNAL FORCES" SUCH AS WIND, ROAD GROOVES, ROAD UNEVENESS. FEELS LIKE BUMPSTEER, BUT WITH THE ABILITY OF WIND OR TURBULENCE FROM PASSING LARGE TRUCK TO INDUCE IT. ESSENTIALLY VEHICLE DARTS LEFT AND RIGHT NO MATTER THE STEERING INPUT. DOES NOT OCCUR ON STRAIGHT SMOOTH ROADS. HAS HAPPENED SINCE PURCHASING VEHICLE. TOOK TO DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND NOTHING HAS IMPROVED NOR HAS ANY REAL DIAGNOSIS BEEN MADE (THEY REFUSE TO IF YOU INSIST). DT: VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AT 5000 MILES, AND NOW THE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. CHEVY FIXED IT 3 TIMES, AND IT STILL KEEPS COMING ON. THE LAST TIME, THEY REPLACED EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAGS. AT FIRST GM SAID THE AIR BAG DEFECT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACCIDENT THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT, AND NOW THEY SAY IT IS BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT. IT IS VERY UNSAFE. IN ADDITION, THE PASSENGER AND MIDDLE FRONT SEATBELTS REQUIRE AN EXTENSION BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO SHORT, AND SO IT IS UNSAFE. *TT

THE CONSUMER IS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WILL JERK TO THE RIGHT. OWNER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE DEFECT ARE ON BACK ORDER. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE SAME DAY THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE REPAIR SHOP THREE TIMES AND EACH TIME THE MECHANIC STATED THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS NOT WORKED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SUNROOF LEAKED, A BLOWN FUSE WAS REPLACED. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR WAS INOPERATIVE, THE DEALER TIGHTENED THE CONNECTION, THERE WAS A RATTLE COMING FROM THEE LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROAD. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE OVERDRIVE GEAR WOULD NOT HOLD AND CONSTANTLY SHIFTED IN AND OUT OF HIGH GEAR. PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED OCCASSIONALLY SINCE THE FIRST TIME. IN ADDITION, TRANSMISSION CONTINUES TO SHIFT AT HIGHER RPM THAN PREVIOUSLY.*AK
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GM DEALERSHIP TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO REPAIR THE VIBRATION AND HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER. HOWEVER, GM MANUFACTURER WROTE A LETTER TO THE DEALERSHIP , TELLING THEM TO STOP ALL ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THIS VEHICLE UNTIL THEY COME UP WITH A SOLUTION FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE COULD HEAR A HUMMING NOISE IN THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING. THIS OCCURRED ALL THE TIME WHILE THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS TURNED ON. IF THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS OFF THEN THE CONSUMER COULD NOT HEAR THIS NOISE. *AK *JB

DOING NORMAL BRAKING, THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A SOFT PEDAL APPLICATION WHICH CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE DEALER HAS INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND A MANUFACTURER SERVICE REP. BOTH INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT WAS THE NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THAT VEHICLE. *JB
ON JAN 20, 2003 MY NEW 2003 CHEV SUBURBAN 4 WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM FAILED AS I ATTEMPTED TO ENTER TRAFFIC. SERVICE 4WD SHOWED ON THE INFORMATION CENTER AND I WAS NEARLY INVOLVED IN A COLLISION DUE TO THIS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SVC DEPARTMENT, WHERE THE SVC PERSON TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF THEN ON AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. THE MILAGE ON THE TRUCK WAS 172 MILES (ONEHUDREDSEVENTYTWO)
THE MIDDLE POSITION IN THE 2ND ROW OF SEATS IN A 2003 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN Z71 IS UNSAFE FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT. THERE IS A LEATHER LOOP (INTENDED TO HOLD THE SHOULDER BELT IN PLACE WHEN NOT IN USE) THAT ALTERS THE PATH OF THE SEAT BELT WHEN THE CHILD SEAT IS INSTALLED. OVERTIME THROUGH WEAR AND TEAR OR IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT THIS LEATHER STRAP MAY BREAK. THIS WOULD INTRODUCE MORE SLACK IN THE BELT AND MAKE THE SEAT UNSAFE.
WHILE SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO ANOTHER GEAR, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. THE GEAR SHIFT WILL GET STUCK. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. PH

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT EVERY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT FAILED IN DUE TO POOR GROUNDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 348.
THE DEALER HAS MADE 21 ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG , HOWEVER THE LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE. *JB GM AGREED TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE FOR A MILEAGE FEE. *JB

THIS WAS THE DATE A MECHANIC ADVISED US THAT THE BRAKE LINES ARE SEVERELY CORRODED AND THAT THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED. OUR VEHICLE IS GARAGED IN THE WINTER AND WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW. THE BRAKE LINES SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN THAT. *TR

2003 CHEVY SUBURBAN STALLED TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE VEHICLE HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. AFTER THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED CONSUMER NOTICED GASOLINE ALL OVER THE GARAGE FLOOR. *KB
2003 CHEVY SUBURBAN WITH SPEEDOMETER PROBLEMS. CONSUMER STATES SHE RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR A VOLUNTARY REPAIR BUT THE VEHICLE HAD TOO MANY MILES ON IT. CONSUMER IS VERY UPSET THAT THERE WAS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS REPAIR. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED FOR OVER 3 YEARS, SHE HAS HAD AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE SPEEDOMETER. *JB
THE REAR SEAT BELT LOCKED AND HAD TO BE CUT TO RELEASE A CHILD FROM THE SEAT BELT. *JB
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SEAT BELT BUCKLE. IF TAPPING ON THE BUCKLE IT WILL RELEASE THE SEAT BELT. MANUFACTURER WON'T DO ANY THING ABOUT IT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SHIFT STICKS, CAUSING THE VEHICLE NOT TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. WHEN VEHICLE'S SPEED REACHED BETWEEN 45-70 MPH THERE WAS A GRINDING NOISE IN THE FRONT END. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND METAL SHAVINGS IN THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL FLUID. THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED ALL THE FRONT END COMPONENTS IN AN ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTED. *JB
PROBLEMS WITH REAR PASSENGER SEATS ON A 2003 Z71 SUBURBAN.*MR THE SAFETY PATROL WAS UNABLE TO PROPERLY PUT THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT INTO THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE LATCH SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED. THE CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF HER CHILDREN. IT WAS EXPLAINED TO THE CONSUMER THAT IT WAS ILLEGAL TO PLACE A CAR SEAT IN FRONT OF ANYTHING THAT PULLS DOWN, THE REAR CENTER SEAT CONTAINED A DRINK HOLDER/ARM REST AND THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT ONLY SLID FORWARD FOR ACCESS TO THE REAR THIRD SEAT. *CB *JB

VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE TIRE TREADS ON THE FRONT WERE WORN OUT. DEALER STATED TIRES WORE OUT BECAUSE THE CONSUMER DIDN'T ROTATE THE TIRES SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER WENT TO A FIRESTONE TIRE DEALER, WHO INSISTED THAT TIRES SHOULD NOT WEAR OUT DUE TO ROTATION, BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BALANCE OF THE VEHICLE. *AK
WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE DRIVER HEARD A LOUD NOISE. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND PULLED OVER. THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER'S REAR SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE TIRED NEEDED REPLACING. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
