ALL 4 OF MY EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE COME UNATTACHED ON AT LEAST ONE END. THIS STARTED BEFORE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED BUT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN SO I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. 2 THAT HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED BY DEALER HAVE BROKEN AGAIN. DEALER QUOTES $300+ TO MAKE THIS REPAIR, ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM. CANT BELIEVE THIS HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED YET AS I AM FINDING SO MANY OTHERS WITH THIS EXACT PROBLEM. *TR
DASH CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES. THIS IS A VERY COMMON DEFECT IN GM SILVERADOS, TAHOES, SUBURBANS, YUKONS AND AVALANCHES. AT THIS POINT THE MAIN CONCERN IS THE FACT THAT THE HIGH MAJORITY OF CRACKS ON ALL AFFECTED DASHES ARE AGAINST/NEXT TO PASSANGER AIR BAG. IF DEPLOYED DASH FRAGMENTS WILL BECOME PROJECTILES. AS TIMES GOES ON SEVERAL OTHER CRACKS HAVE APPEARED AND AT THIS TIME GM HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS
THERE ARE 3 CRACKS ON MY DASH. THERE ARE 2 CRACKS ON CORNERS OF DRIVERS SIDE AT AIRBAG AND 1 CRACK ON DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. ALL 3 CRACKS ARE OF GREAT COCERN TO MY FAMILYS SAFETY. IM NOT SURE WHEN THE CRACKS HAPPENED.
PEELING CHROME COATING ON INSIDE DOOR HANDLES HAS SHARP EDGES THAT HAVE CUT HAND HYDRAULICS ON BACK CARGO DOOR ALREADY OUT AND I HARDLY EVER USE BACK DOOR. *TR
THE CHROME PLATING ON THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAS PEELED AND CAUSED SMALL CUTS TO MY FINGERS. CHECKED WITH DEALER AND OF COARSE THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY OTHER PROBLEMS LIKE THIS. *TR
I OWN A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CHROME IS PEELING FROM THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. THE CHROME IS THICK AND I HAVE CUT MY FINGERS WHILE OPENING THE DOOR. THE DEALERSHIP REPORTED THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THE ITEMS BECAUSE OF MILEAGE, BUT IT HAD BEEN A COMMON COMPLAINT FOR THE 2007 MODEL TAHOE. *TR
2007 CHEVY TAHOE Z71, ORIGINAL OWNER- VEHICLE HAS HAD CONSISTENT PROBLEMS WITH BATTERY GOING DEAD SINCE VEHICLE WAS NEW. BATTERY REPLACED BY DEALER. UNABLE TO KEEP DOORS OPEN WITH INTERIOR LIGHTING ON FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS. BATTERY TENDER ADDED AND BATTERY IS TRICKLE CHARGED WEEKLY TO AVOID DEAD BATTERY. INTERIOR LIGHTING HAS BEEN TURNED OFF TO AVOID DEAD BATTERY. DEAD BATTERIES SEEM TO BE COMMON ON THIS YEAR VEHICLE. I AM UNABLE TO RELY ON THIS VEHICLE TO START WHEN I AM ON LONG TRIPS FROM HOME. I CARRY A SPARE OPTIMA DEEP CYCLE BATTERY & JUMPER CABLES WITH ME WHEN I TAKE FAMILY ON VACATION. *TR
FRONT DIFFERENTIAL STARTED MAKING A VERY LOUD NOISE. IT BECAME EVEN LOUDER IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE. WHILE IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE THE VEHICLE DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT. I BROUGHT TO THE DEALER WHO STATED WATER GOT INTO THE DIFFERENTIAL, AND IT HAD TO BE REBUILT. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. ALL 3 TIMES, INCLUDING THIS ONE, WAS DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE PINION SEAL. THE FIRST REPAIR ON 11/06/09 WAS COVERED UNDER GMS MANUFACTURERS FACTORY WARRANTY. THE NEXT 2 REPAIRS, INCLUDING THIS ONE, COST ME A TOTAL OF $1,435.49. I CAN ONLY WONDER HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS DRIVING AROUND IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH A DIFFERENTIAL THAT WAS READY TO CATASTROPHICALLY FAIL? *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE THE CHROME PLATING ON THE INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE IS PEELING AND MY WIFE RECEIVED A MINOR CUT DUE TO THE SHARP EDGE . THE HANDLES SHOW BE REPLACED BY CHEVROLET WITH A BETTER DESIGN. *TR
MY 2007 CHEVY TAHOE DEVELOPED CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD WITHIN THE FIRST 2 YEARS I OWNED IT. THEY STARTED AROUND 30,000 MILES. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AT THE TIME BUT WAS TOLD THAT IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY SINCE IT WAS COSMETIC DAMAGE. THE CRACKS ARE MUCH WORSE NOW AND ARE ON BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES INCLUDING AREAS NEAR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I HAVE NEVER USED CLEANING PRODUCTS SUCH AS ARMOR ALL AND THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. CRACKS NEAR THE PASSENGER COULD CAUSE PIECES OF SHARP PLASTIC TO BREAK OFF AND STRIKE THE PASSENGER AS A RESULT OF A COLLISION.
2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT3 DASHBOARD CRACKED. CRACKED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. -1 CRACK 10" LONG DIRECTLY IN FRONT ON STEERING WHEEL RUNNING FROM DEFROST VENT TOWARDS DRIVER. -3 CRACKS 6-8" LONG RADIATING OUTWARD FROM PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG TOWARDS CENTER OF DASH AND WINDSHIELD. I'M AFRAID THAT IF THE TAHOE IS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION AND THE FRONT AIRBAGS DEPLOY, PIECES OF THE DASH WILL BECOME DETACHED, INJURING THE OCCUPANTS. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT DIRECTLY WITH GM, THEY REPLIED THAT THE CRACK DASH IS NOT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT (THEY NEVER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE). I WAS TOLD BY A GM REPRESENTATIVE, IF I WAS CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY, I SHOULD REPLACE THE DASHBOARD IN THE TAHOE AT MY OWN EXPENSE. MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS HAVE POSTED PHOTOS/DESCRIPTIONS OF THE SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR 2007 TAHOE/YUKON ON THE INTERNET. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY. IT NO LONGER REGISTERS THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE CONSUMER APPLIED PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AT 35 MPH, HE HEARD METAL GRINDING. A CERTIFIED MECHANIC REPLACED THE REAR ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 36,000. UPDATED 12/7/09 *CN THE RIGHT REAR DISC BRAKE PAD FAILED. THE CERAMIC PAD DETACHED AND DISINTEGRATED FROM THE PADS METAL BACKING PLATE, WHICH THEN CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE ROTOR OF THE DISC. UPDATED 12/08/09.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THE PLASTIC RING AROUND THE IGNITION SWITCH DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS FRACTURED ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE HORN FAILED. THE FAILURE RECURRED CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
2007 TAHOE LTZ HAS HAD 3 DOOR HANDLES BREAK DURING THE LAST 2.5 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. AM FINDING THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE FOR THE 2007 MODEL YEAR. DOOR HANDLES ARE APPROX $200.00 EACH TO REPLACE. CAN'T ANYTHING BE DONE BY GM MOTORS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT? *TR
5 CRACKS IN VEHICLE'S DASH; 2 ON DRIVER'S SIDE, 3 ON PASSENGER SIDE AROUND AIRBAG. STARTED APPEARING LAST FALL AND GM WAS NOTIFIED. INFORMED BY GM, WITHOUT LOOKING AT VEHICLE, THAT IT WAS NOT A MANUFACTURING/PRODUCT ISSUE AND MY CASE WAS CLOSED. *TR IF PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYS, THE PLASTIC DASH WILL EXPLODE INTO PIECES. DASH HAS YET TO BE FIXED.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT WITH THE ENTIRE VEHICLE IS THE DOOR HANDLES, MADE OF PLASTIC. THEY HAVE ALL BROKEN OFF. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. *TR
THE REAR EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAD BROKEN OFF. IT WAS ORIGINALLY REPAIRED BY A CHEVROLET DEALER; HOWEVER IT BROKE AGAIN WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. IT HAS SINCE BROKEN ABOUT 10 TIMES AND SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO A RECALL OR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. THIS WAS A $55K VEHICLE BRAND NEW WHEN I PURCHASED IT IN 2007. THIS IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE AS PEOPLE CAN BREAK IN. IN ADDITION, IT'S NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN TO OPEN THE DOOR AS THE HANDLE SEPARATES FROM THE BODY AND PUSHES BACK IN, POSSIBLY CAUSING A CHILD'S HAND TO GET CAUGHT IN BETWEEN THE BODY AND THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HANDLE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT3 THAT THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES CHROME PLATING IS SHARP , ESPECIALY WHERE IT MEETS AT THE SEAM. I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK IN MY DASH ALONG THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES. THE DASH IS NOW CRACKED IN 5 TO 6 DIFFERENT PLACES ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. VERY FRUSTRATING TO PAY $50,000 FOR SUCH POOR QUALITY. MY TAHOE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGE KEPT. I AM WORRIED THAT MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG IS AFFECTED BY THIS AND THAT IF IT DOES DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT THAT ALL THE CRACKED PIECES OF HARD PLASTIC FROM THE DASH WILL BE HAZARDOUS. ALSO WHEN DRIVING YOU CAN HEAR THE LOUD RATTLES FROM THE DASH.
MY EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE BREAKING OFF. I HAVE HAD ALL FOUR REPLACED AND NOW HAVE TWO THAT HAVE BROKEN AGAIN. THEY ARE MADE OF CHEAP PLASTIC AND HELD ON THE DOOR WITH PLASTIC THAT JUST BREAKS LOOSE WHEN PULLED ON. ALSO THE PLASTIC COATING ON THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES IS PEELING OFF CAUSING SHARP EDGES. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS GM PRODUCT. THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE VEHICLE THAT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED AND BY FAR THE POOREST QUALITY. MY DASH IS ALSO CRACKED IN MULTPILE PLACES STARTING WITH THE LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AND NOW ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
THERE IS A CRACK AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG THAT APPEARS TO BE UNSAFE IN HEAD ON COLLISION. IF YOU REFERENCE CHEVROLET FORUMS-TAHOE WEBSITE YOU WILL SEE 45 PAGES OF FAILURES AND GM IS VERY SELECTIVE ON WHOM THEY WILL REPLACE OR DENY. *TR
CHEVY SS TAHOE PURCHASED NEW IN 2007 HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS IN THE AREA SURROUNDING THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. IT IS MY CONCERN THAT IF THIS IS DEPLOYED THERE MAY BE PORTIONS OF THIS DASH THAT WILL BE DEPLOYED WITH THE AIR BAG. IN ADDITION THE DASH BOARD HAS CRACK ABOVE THE DRIVERS STEERING COLUMN THAT HAS SPLINTERED INTO MULTIPLE CRACKS. IN SPEAKING WITH MY INSURANCE AGENCY I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL OF CHEVY TAHOE 2007. I DO NOT SEE ANY RECALLS, BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY ALONG WITH THIS RECALL OF THE AIRBAGS FOR THIS VEHICLE TYPE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. HE STATED WHEN ENTERING HIS VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT HIS VEHICLE HAD BEEN VANDALIZED AND THE REAR SEATS WHERE MISSING. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER WHO DETERMINED THAT THERE IS NO SECURITY PLATE BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE WHICH WILL PREVENT SOMEONE FROM BRAKING THE DOOR HANDLE AND GETTING INTO THE VEHICLE. HE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WHERE NO CURRENT RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE SO NO COMPENSATION WOULD BE OFFERED. HE WAS INFORMED BY THE REPAIR SHOP THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE FAILING WITH THE YEAR MAKE AND MODEL. THE VEHICLES WHERE VANDALIZED AND THE CONTACT FEELS THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE THE PLATES INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLES TO PREVENT THEFT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,805 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 13,000. BL
MY DASH KEEPS CRACKING AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THESE CRACKS MAY CAUSE PIECES OF THE DASH TO BECOME FLYING PROJECTILES IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE PASSENGER OR SIDE IMPACT AIRBAG DEPLOYS. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR ME SINCE 2009. GM IS REFUSING TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM.
IN OUR 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE THE DASH IS CRACKED JUST ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHICH COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY IN A CRASH. THE INTERIOR WIRING MUST BE FAULTY, THE PASSENGER WINDOW SOMETIMES WON'T ROLL DOWN FROM DRIVERS SIDE, BUT SOMETIMES IT WILL. ALSO OUR BATTERY MOUNTS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT IS CALLED FOR IN AUTOMOTIVE CENTERS (TOP MOUNT , NOT SIDE) MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO ORDER PROPER BATTERY FOR THIS VEHICLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR DOOR HANDLES BROKE OFF FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE DOOR HANDLES, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE MANFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
PEELING INTERIOR PAINT - TWO OF THE FOUR DOORHANDLES PAINT IS PEELING CAUSING SHARP AND JAGGED EDGES RESULTING IN CUT FINGERS. BRAKES - ALL BRAKES AND ROTORS BAD AT 39,000 MILES AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. WAY TOO EARLY! NOW THE BRAKES SQUEAL ALL THE TIME, ARE SOFT AND HAD TO BE FLUSHED 2 TIMES WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER. WINDOWS - CONTINUING ISSUES WITH THE WINDOWS SCREECHING WHEN GOING UP AND DOWN. ATTEMPTED TO FIX THREE TIMES AND JUST KEEPS REPEATING. IS STARTING TO SCUFF/SCRATCH THE GLASS AND LEAVE OIL STREAKS. WAS TOLD THIS IS NORMAL. REAR LIFTGATE (MANUAL) - STRUTS FREEZE EVERY WINTER SO THAT THE TAILGATE DOES NOT GO UP ALL THE WAY. HAVE HIT HEAD ON THIS NUMEROUS TIMES. BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES AND COUNTING. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHO STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER I PURCHASED THE TRUCK THE BATTERY I WENT TO START THE TRUCK AND THE BATTER WAS DEAD. I GOT A JUMP FOR BUT A FEW DAYS LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED IT HOWEVER LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, I HAD TROUBLE STARTING IT AGAIN; THIS TIME THE CAR WOULD TAKE A FEW SECONDS TO TURN OVER WHEN I TURNED THE IGNITION AND SOMETIMES I WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE KEY BACK AND THEN TRY AGAIN BEFORE IT STARTED. I TOOK MY TRUCK BACK IN TO THE DEALER AND THIS TIME THEY REPLACED THE STARTER. OVER THE LAST YEAR, THE IGNITION STILL DOES THE SAME THING AND IF I SIT AND LISTEN TO THE RADIO WITH THE CAR OFF, THE BATTERY WILL DIE REQUIRING A JUMP START. THE BATTERY WENT DEAD AGAIN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND WHILE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A JUMP I TRIED THE IGNITION AGAIN AND THIS TIME THE CAR STARTED. TWO DAYS AGO, I STARTED MY TRUCK AND ALL OF THE INSTRUMENTS WERE DEAD. I CHECKED THE FUSES AND THEY WERE FINE SO I STARTED RESEARCHING ONLINE TO DISCOVER MANY MORE COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME NATURE DETAILING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE BATTERY, STARTER AND INSTRUMENT PANEL. TWO DAYS AFTER THE INSTRUMENTS WENT OUT, AGAIN THE TRUCK WOULDN'T START WHEN SITTING WITH MY TRUCK OFF AND MY CELL PHONE PLUGGED INTO THE CHARGER. I WAITED 20 MINUTES AND TURNED THE IGNITION AND AFTER IT CLICKED A FEW TIMES, THE CAR STARTED AND THE INSTRUMENTS CAME BACK ON. I'M TIRED OF THE DEALER TELLING ME THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE WHEN IT'S CLEARLY AN ELECTRICAL DEFECT AND OTHERS ARE AND HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH 2007 TAHOE'S. THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED ASAP!
WE PURCHASED A 2007 CHEVY Z71 TAHOE ON JUNE 3 2007. A MONTH AFTER WE GOT IT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE CHARGED IT THINKING THAT SINCE WE DIDN'T DRIVE IT VERY MUCH ( A VACATION VEHICLE ONLY) THAT THE BATTERY WASN'T CHARGED. ABOUT 6MONTH LATER IT WAS DEAD AGAIN. IT WAS LOOKED AT THE GARAGE WE PURCHASED IT FROM AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. IN DECEMBER 2008 AFTER THE 4TH TIME OF A DEAD BATTERY AND TRYING TO GET A RIDE TO WORK WE HAD A NEW BATTERY PUT IN IT. ON JUNE 9 2009 IT WAS DEAD AFTER 6 MONTH ON A NEW BATTERY. I WAS GOING TO LEAVE IT AT THE PITTSBURGH AIRPORT WHILE WE WENT ON A TRIP BUT I CAN'T CAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL START WHEN WE GET HOME AND IT 125 MILE FROM WHERE WE LIVE. I WANT SOMETHING DONE THE LEMON L COMES TO MIND. I HAVE READ SO MANY FORUM ON THIS WITH NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT EVEN THE GARAGE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS DRAWING THE BATTERY . I WANT SOME ANSWER. *TR
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES AND IS BECOMING A SAFETY ISSUE AS WELL AS BEING AN ANNOYANCE (EXCESSIVE RATTLING) AND AESTHETIC ISSUE. THE PLASTIC DASHBOARD IS BECOMING LOOSE AND UNSTABLE. WE ARE FINDING THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH 2007 TAHOES. GM DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE CONCERNED WITH THIS ISSUE AND HAS FAILED TO ISSUE A RECALL. WE ARE CONCERNED IN THE EVENT OF AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, THE CRACKED DASH WILL BREAK AWAY AND CAUSE PLASTIC SHRAPNEL, IMPALING THE DRIVER AND OR PASSENGER/S IN THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS CERTAINLY CREATED A SAFETY CONCERN!
2007 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ HAS MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. LAST YEAR, I STARTED NOTICING ISSUES IN MAY. CAR EXHIBITED RANDOM STARTING FAILURES (NO STARTER TURNING - LIKE DEAD BATTERY) WHICH WILL RESOLVE AND BEGIN FUNCTIONING ON ITS OWN AFTER TIME PASSED. BATTERY WAS REPLACED BY DEALER WITH NO RESOLUTION. MAJOR FLUCTUATIONS AND ACTIVATION OF THE WARNING LIGHTS IN THE DASH ( ABS, SUSPENSION SERVICE, TRACTION CONTROL, BACKUP ASSISTANCE, CRUISE CONTROL, CHECK ENGINE, ALL NEEDLE GAUGES FLUCTUATE RANDOMLY, TRIP COMPUTER INFORMATION DEACTIVATES RANDOMLY) NOTED DURING NORMAL DRIVING. DOOR LOCKS ALSO RANDOMLY LOCK WHILE DRIVING OR IDLING. WINDSHIELD WIPERS PERIODICALLY TURN AND WASHER FLUID IS EXPRESSED. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT ROUGHLY WHEN THESE ISSUES ARE BEING SEEN. ALSO, THE AIR CONDITIONER WILL CEASE COOLING THE AIR DURING THESE TIMES BUT CONTINUE TO RUN THE BLOWER FAN ( JUST UNCOOLED AIR). ALL THESE PROBLEMS WILL COME AND GO RANDOMLY. ALL THESE SYMPTOMS WERE REPORTED AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER IN SUMMER 2009. MULTIPLE CPU MODULES WERE REPLACED AND THE CAR SEEMED BETTER. NOW THE ISSUES ARE ARISING AGAIN AND MORE FREQUENTLY. THE 2007 TAHOE LTZ WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AGAIN YESTERDAY. GM PERSONNEL WERE VERY CONFRONTATIONAL WHEN DISCUSSION THE ISSUES OF A DESIGN/PRODUCTION/MANUFACTURING DEFECT, YET THE SERVICE MANAGER COULD PRACTICALLY RECITE VERBATIM THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING AS I STARTED TO DESCRIBE THE INITIAL PROBLEMS. HE ADMITTED THAT THIS WAS VERY COMMON , AND HE STATED THE BCM COULD BE OUT. THAT ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHER MODULES WERE REPLACED ALREADY LAST YEAR. I HAVE HEARD AND READ NUMEROUS SIMILAR PROBLEMS ON THIS YEAR TAHOE. SOMEONE WITHIN THE REGULATING AGENCIES NEEDS TO STEP IN AND FORCE A REVIEW. GM ALREADY CHARGED ME $3000+ LAST YEAR TO "FIX" THIS. NOW, THEY ARE ALREADY BALKING AT THE IDEA THAT THERE IS A GM MANUFACTURING OR QUALITY ISSUE CAUSING ALL THESE FREQUENT ISSUES. THE CONSUMER NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED.. SOON. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, A TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF HER VEHICLE AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE DEALER PICKED UP THE VEHICLE DAYS LATER AND REPAIRED THE BODY DAMAGE BUT DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND SHE WAS AWAITING A DECISION IN REGARDS TO THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE DEALER ADVISED BRINGING THE VEHICLE IN FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR HANDLES WERE FAULTY AND WOULD CONSTANTLY FRACTURE. THE DEALER MADE TWO ATTEMPTS TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE BUT COULD NOT. HOWEVER, THE HANDLES CONTINUED TO FRACTURE SPORADICALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED TO MIS-FIRE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PISTON RINGS WERE FRACTURING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT REPLACING THE PISTON RINGS WOULD NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE AND THAT THE ENGINE WOULD REQUIRE REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD NOT REBUILD THE ENGINE EVEN THOUGH JUST REPLACING THE RINGS WILL NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CONSUMING EXCESSIVE OIL FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED FOR REPAIRS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

MY "STABILITRAK OFF", "TRACTION CONTROL OFF", ABS LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALL CAME ON. MY SPEEDOMETER AND OTHER GAUGES STARTED SWINGING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND THEN FLATLINING, MY POWER LOCKS, "LOCKED AND UNLOCKED" ON THEIR OWN. THIS HAPPENED REPETITIVELY AS I WAS DRIVING. I HAVE OWNED MY 2007 CHEVY TAHOE FOR 18 MONTHS AND THIS HAS OCCURRED 4-5 TIMES, TWICE IN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS. I HAVE TAKEN TO A CHEVY DEALER TWICE TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEM. *TR

WHEN GAS GAUGE IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, VEHICLE SHOWS LOW FUEL, EVEN AFTER FILLING UP THE TRUCK.
