TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ABS, LOSS OF POWER, CHECK ENGINE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LAMPS WERE ILLUMINATED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE SENSOR AND CABLES WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 17,000. 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE. CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO INFORM NHTSA OF THE TERRIFIC SERVICE THAT WIN KELLY CHEVROLET DID FOR A RECALL. HE RECEIVED NOTICE THROUGH ONSTAR THAT HE WAS INVOLVED IN A RECALL AND WITHIN 4 HOURS THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT A LOUD CLUNK NOISE AND WHEN DECELERATING, THE VEHICLE WOULD SURGE ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,700.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE 85 IN MY HOMETOWN OF THOMASVILLE NORTH CAROLINA IN MY 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE WHICH HAD EXACTLY 1,320 MILES ON IT, ON 12/13/10 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:00 PM, MY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT. I WAS TRAVELING AT ROUGHLY 60-65 MPH AND THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 70 MPH. I WAS CRUISING ALONG, PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ROAD AS I ALWAYS DO BEING MINDFUL OF OTHER DRIVERS AND MY SURROUNDINGS WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP OR BANG WHICH I WOULD CONSIDER SIMILAR TO A RIFLE OR SHOTGUN BLAST. IMMEDIATELY AFTER HEARING THIS LOUD NOISE, I SLOWED MY SPEED TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE LOUD NOISE. ABOUT THAT TIME MY TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CAME ON AND BEGAN TO CHIME AND LIGHT UP SIGNALING THAT MY RIGHT FRONT TIRE PRESSURE WAS LOW. I SLOWED DOWN EVEN MORE AND BEGAN TO FEEL THE VEHICLE PULL AND DRAG AND FELT THE FRONT RIGHT OF THE VEHICLE BEGINNING TO DROP. I MADE IT SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON AN OFF RAMP. I GOT OUT TO INSPECT WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND WHAT I SAW WAS A TIRE THAT WAS COMPLETELY DEFLATED AND WAS SMOKING. I THEN GOT BACK IN THE VEHICLE AND CALLED ONSTAR AND NOTIFIED THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THEY THEN CALLED FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO COME AND CHANGE MY TIRE WHICH THEY DID IN A TIMELY FASHION. *TR
2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS FOGGING UP *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING, THE WINDOWS BEGAN TO FOG UP ON THE SIDES. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE PROBLEM HAD TO DO WITH THE TEMPERATURE DROP BY A FEW DEGREES. THE CONSUMER STATED THE THIRD TIME WHILE DRIVING, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD BECAME FOGGED, AND THEN ALL OF THE WINDOWS FOGGED UP. IT TOOK OVER 20 MINUTES TO CLEAR THE WINDOWS. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER A BULLETIN HAD BEEN ISSUED WHICH STATED THE RECIRCULATION DOOR WAS NOT CLOSING ALL THE WAY. THEY ALSO STATED GM TECH'S HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS CAUSING IT. *JB
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALERS SEVERAL TIMES TO FIX THE AIRBAG RECALL. THEY SAY THAT IT IS A RECALL AND THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SO WHAT DO I DO TO GET IT FIX.
