FIRST THE LEFT SIDE OF MY TEMPERATURE CONTROL LIGHTING WENT OUT, A WEEK LATER I GOT A STEADY SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT, IT THEN WENT OUT AFTER A FEW MINUTES, IT THEN STAYED STEADY FOR A PERIOD OF 2 DAYS, THEN WENT OUT. THEN 3 DAYS LATER MY INDICATOR LIGHT ABOVE MY 4-WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL WENT OUT, I ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE THE FUSE, THEN GOT A SERVICE FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE WARNING. *TR
INSTRUMENT DASH CLUSTER DOES NOT WORK UPON START. NO BATTERY, OIL, GAS, SPEEDOMETER. NEEDLES DO NOT MOVE AT ALL. *TR
MY HEADLIGHTS STARTED TO FLICKER ONE SEASONABLY WINTER DAY. I HAD THE HEATER MOTOR REPLACED 2 MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT AND BACK WIPER MOTOR JUST A MONTH BEFORE THIS.THEN THE HEATER MOTOR CUT OUT, AND DID SO NUMEROUS TIMES AS I TRAVELED ON A 20 DEGREE DAY. IT SEEMED TO RUN FINE AFTER THAT FOR THE MOST PART THAT DAY. I LATER GOT INTO IT AND AGAIN HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED AND HEATER MOTOR CUT OUT. ESPECIALLY WHEN I WOULD ACCELERATE OR TURN TO THE RIGHT. I REPLACED THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR AND HAD GROUND WIRES CLEANED ONLY TO HAVE IT RECUR A WEEK LATER. I DO MOST OF MY DRIVING AT NIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AND CAME BACK ON I HAD ENOUGH. THIS HAD BECOME QUITE COSTLY AND MY MECHANIC WAS AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT TO DO NEXT. I TOOK IT TO A CHEVY DEALER AND TRADED IT IN ON ANOTHER VEHICLE, AS I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON A MYSTERY ISSUE. *TR
INTRUMENT PANEL QUITS FUNCTIONING AT ANY GIVEN TIME AND MAY START WORKING AT ANYTIME, ACCURACY IS QUESTIONABLE. THIS INCLUDES SPEEDOMETER, TEMPERATURE, CHARGING AND FUEL GAUGES. *LN
WIFE PUT FUEL IN THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS DOWN TO A 1/4 TANK AND IT IS NOW THE WINTER MONTHS, WE DONT LIKE TO BE BELOW HALF A TANK. SHE DROVE IT HOME AND LATER THAT NITE I GOT INTO THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE GAUGE READ EMPTY AND THE LIGHT WAS ON. I WENT TO PUT FUEL IN IT AND AT 5 DOLLARS THE TANK FOR FUEL. THE GAS GAUGE SHOW EMPTY UPON EVEN AFTER FILLING THE TANK. THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK FALLS TO A SUFFICIENT LEVEL TO CAUSE THE GAUGE TO DISPLAY ERRATIC AND FALSE READINGS. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE FAILURE WHICH CONTINUES TO BE A CONSTANT PROBLEM. FUEL LEVEL NOW MUST BE ESTIMATED THROUGH THE USE OF THE TRIP ODOMETER THE GAUGE READS FULL WHEN YOU FIRST START THE VEHICLE AND SOMETIMES STAYS AT FULL OR READS EMPTY WITH THE LIGHT ON. CALLED LOCAL GARAGE THEY SAID SOUNDS LIKE A BAD FUEL LEVEL SENSOR COMMON PROBLEM WITH CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS FROM 02-09. *TR
CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 2002 INSTRUMENT PANEL MALFUNCTION: OIL GAUGE DROPS TO ZERO WHEN IDLING- IS INTERMITTENT. I THOUGHT THE OIL PUMP WAS FAILING AND PAID TO HAVE TOWED TO MECHANIC. THEY SAID THAT INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS GLITCH IN IT SO YOU CANNOT TELL IF OIL PRESSURE IS ACCURATE. CAR IS RUNNING FINE. *TR
2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER GAS TANK LEAK. HAD IT REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS RUSTED. COST $867. SHOULD THERE BE A RECALL ON THIS? *TR
INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING--INCLUSIVE THE SPEEDOMETER AND ALL ACCESSORY GAUGES (TACHOMETER, OIL PRESSURE, TEMPERATURE, CHARGING SYSTEM).
I BOUGHT A 2002 CHEV.TRAILBLAZER LTZ FROM JOE CECCONIS DEALERSHIP. MY ALTERNATOR WAS BAD THEY TOLD ME WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND SO THEY REPLACED IT IN 2008. WED. NOV. 18TH 2010 IT CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE I WAS IN IT. THE LOCAL FIRE DEPT. MADE A REPORT AND JOE CECCONIS WONT RETURN MY CALLS. WHAT DO I DO? *TR
SPEEDOMETER, GAS, AND TACH GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, WOULD WORK SOME AND THEN GRADUALLY STOP WORKING ALL TOGETHER, SPEEDOMETER GETS STUCK ON APPROX 20MPH OR 120MPH, GAS GAUGE OFF METER. *TR
THE DASH LIGHTS AND GAUGES ALL GO OUT INTERMITTENTLY . *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY JERKED WHILE SHIFTING GEARS. THE VEHICLE ONLY SHIFTED TO FIRST GEAR AND FAILED TO GO INTO THIRD AND FOURTH GEAR. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS AN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 205,338.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT OVERHEATED AND CAUSED THE BULB SOCKET TO MELT. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BAKE LIGHT SOCKET ASSEMBLY HIMSELF BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED AND THE BRAKE LIGHT FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE SMELLED AN UNUSUALLY OVERPOWERING FUEL ODOR. HE INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT FUEL WAS ON THE REAR OF THE FUEL TANK AND THE FUEL LINES WERE RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 141,000. GM SENT CONSUMER A LETTER REGARDING EXTENDED COVERAGE ON THE FUEL TANK MODULAR RESERVOIR. UPDATED 01/21/11
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF DID NOT CLOSE COMPLETELY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE SUN ROOF IN OCTOBER OF 2010 BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,394.
LEFT REAR DOOR LATCH ON 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS IS CORRODED. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE EXT BUT DOESN'T PERTAIN TO THE LS. I CAN'T SHUT MY DOOR BECAUSE THE LATCH WON'T HOOK.I OPENED THE DOOR AND COULD NOT SHUT IT AFTER THAT BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T LATCH. HAVE NOT BEE ABLE TO LOCATE PART AT A REASONABLE PRICE SO HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT YET. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND THEY LOOKED UP RECALLS BUT COULDN'T HELP US CAUSE OUR VIN NUMBER ISN'T COVERED. *TR
I OWN A 2002 TRAILBLAZER WHICH THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED TWICE SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. THE FIRST REPAIR WAS SEPTEMBER 2010 AMOUNT WAS $ 2000 AND WENT OUT AGAIN IN AUGUST 2011 COSTING ME $1,500 THE SECOND TIME. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRAILBLAZER AND THEY HAVE NOT YET CHOSEN TO RECALL THIS PROBLEM. HOPEFULLY NO ONE HAS GOTTEN HURT OR WILL GET HURT. I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM THE REAR THE DAY MY TRUCK JUST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD NO WARNINGS OR SIGNS. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR GM TO RECALL THIS I GUESS THEY HOPE THE PROBLEM WILL JUST GO AWAY. GM KNOWS THIS IS A PROBLEM IF THEY CHANGED THE SUNSHELL MATERIAL ON THE NEWER MODELS ONES THAT ARE MORE HEAT RESISTANT WHY MAKE THE PART MORE STURDY IF THERE IS NO PROBLEMS OR SAFETY CONCERNS. I AM NOW TRYING TO GET RID OF MY TRUCK AND WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER GM AUTOMOBILE. *TR
DRIVING MY SON HOME FROM FOOTBALL PRACTICE AND HEARD A WEIRD SOUND AND NOTICED THE GEARS WOULD NOT SHIFT IN THE TRANSMISSION. I TRIED TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE AND IT WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD NO WARNINGS ABOUT THIS AND JUST ABOUT GOT HIT DUE TO HAVING TO TRY TO PULL OFF THE ROAD QUICKLY. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAS HAPPENED AND WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION. *TR
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING A GASOLINE ODOR ON THE SIDE OF MY SUV WHERE THE FUEL DOOR/FUEL TANK IS LOCATED. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET YIELDED MANY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS REPORTING FUEL TANK/SENDING UNIT/PUMP CORROSION RESULTING IN A FUEL LEAK. A FAMILY MEMBER OF MINE JUST HAD THIS EXACT PROBLEM REPAIRED ON A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. I BELIEVE THIS SAME ISSUE IS STARTING WITH MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER. I REPLACED THE GAS CAP TO ELIMINATE THE POSSIBILITY OF THE GAS ODOR COMING FROM THE TANK FILL AREA, BUT THE ODOR PERSISTED. THE ODOR RESEMBLES AN ACTUAL GASOLINE SPILL AND/OR LEAK AND NOT JUST GASOLINE VAPOR ODOR, IE: FILLING THE TANK. LIKE I STATED BEFORE, INTERNET RESEARCH YIELDS MANY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS REPORTING THIS ISSUE AND HAVING TO PAY FOR COSTLY REPAIRS. ANY ISSUE REGARDING THE FUEL SYSTEM/GASOLINE, IN MY OPINION, SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION FROM GM IN REGARDS TO A RECALL BULLETIN. I AM GOING TO CONDUCT MORE INVESTIGATION, BUT IN THE MEANTIME THE SMELL OF A GASOLINE LEAK IS UNMISTAKABLE. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION IS HELPFUL AND I HOPE THAT A RECOURSE REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND ITS REPAIRS CAN BE FORMULATED. IN THE MEANTIME I FEEL THAT A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE IS PRESENT AND NEEDS FAST AND EFFICIENT ATTENTION. THANK YOU. THE CONSUMER STATED THE FUEL PUMP WAS SEVERELY CORRODED ON THE TOP INCLUDING TWO FUEL LINES THAT EXIT THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP. THERE WAS A FUEL LEAK RESULTING FROM CORROSION. THE CONSUMER PAID FOR THE REPAIRS AT HIS EXPENSE. UPDATED 12/16/10
CAR IDLE WOULD GO CRAZY AT STOP SIGNS AND RD LIGHTS. DURING TAKE OFF IDLE WOULD PLUNGE AND CAR WOULD STALL OR COME VERY CLOSE TO STALLING. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIX IT SINCE NO CODES SHOWED UP ON COMPUTER. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP AND THE PROBLEM WAS THE THROTTLE BODY AND CAM POSITION SENSOR. *TR
2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH 86,000 MILES ON IT, NOTICED A LARGE AMOUNT OF FLUID UNDER VEHICLE WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OUR MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED THAT TWO OF THE FOUR LINES THAT CARRY THE TRANSMISSION FLUID ARE CRACKED/CORRODED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT AN UNUSUALLY LOUD HISSING SOUND WHEN DRIVING ANY SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAN CLUTCH WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I OWN A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT WHICH HAS BEEN IMPECCABLY MAINTAINED BY ME. PRIOR TO GOING ON A VACATION I BROUGHT THE TRUCK INTO MY MECHANIC FOR AN INSPECTION AS USUAL AND HE INFORMED ME THE TRANSMISSION FUEL LINES HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE CORROSION. HE ALSO ADVISED ME THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL WHICH PROMPTED CHEVROLET TO CHANGE THE DESIGN. HE CHECKED TO SEE IF IT WAS ON A RECALL LIST BUT WAS NOT. I CHECKED THE NHTSA SITE AND HAVE NOTICED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS SAME ISSUE. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED WITH GM AND PLACED ON A RECALL LIST FOR REPLACEMENT BY A DEALERSHIP? *TR
2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXTERIOR MIRRORS WILL NOT HOLD THEIR ADJUSTMENT SETTINGS. THE LOCAL DEALER HAS WORKED ON THIS PROBLEM NUMEROUS TIMES AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND OR FIX THE PROBLEM. THE EXTERIOR MIRRORS WILL USUALLY END UP POINTING DOWN AS I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS CAN BE A SAFETY PROBLEM AS THEY READJUST THEM SELVES IN TRAFFIC. CAN YOU HELP THE OWNERS OF THIS PARTICULAR MODEL? *TR
DRIVING AT POSTED 55 MPH OUR 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH 50,000 MILES ON IT STARTED TO BLOW SMOKE BEHIND IT. BEFORE WE COULD PULL OFF THE ROAD SAFELY, THE ENGINE RPM WENT CRAZY AND THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING. IT WAS LATER FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE FAILED DUE TO CORROSION AND SPRAYED OIL ON THE EXHAUST SYSTEM RESONATOR. ON CAREFUL INSPECTION, THE TRANS COOLER LINES ARE CORRODED IN MANY PLACES. THE LINES ARE SO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM THAT AN INSULATION MATERIAL HAD BEEN PLACED OVER THE LINES AND MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO HOLDING MOISTURE AND ACCELERATING THE RUST THROUGH. I AM WAITING FOR NEW LINES AND DO NOT KNOW IF THE TRANSMISSION IS DESTROYED. *TR
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS QUIT WORKING ON MY 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER I HAVE TRIED THE FUSES AND REPLACING HEADLIGHTS NOTHING WORKS, THE HIGHBEAM LIGHTS WORK. *TR
LEFT FRONT HEADLIGHT GOES OUT PERIODICALLY. REPLACE LIGHT AND WITHIN AT LEAST A WEEK IT GOES OUT AGAIN. HAVE SEEN SEVERAL TRAILBLAZERS WITH LEFT HEAD LIGHT OUT. *TR
2002-2007 GMC ENVOY & CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER ALL. I HAVE SEEN MANY OF THESE LEAKING FUEL FROM THE INLET WHERE THE FILLER NECK ATTACHES TO THE FUEL TANK AND SOME WERE CRACKED. I HAVE SPOKEN TO OTHER SHOPS THAT HAVE SEEN THE SAME. WE HAVE REPLACED 2 TANKS FOR THISIN ABOUT 4 MONTHS BUT SEEN SIGNS OF MORE. WE ARE A SMALL SHOP. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THERE WAS AN OVERPOWERING GASOLINE ODOR IN THE VEHICLE. SHE STATED THAT THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE FAILURE PERSISTED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS LEAKING WHERE THE FILLER NECK MET THE TANK BODY. SHE WAS ADVISED THAT THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 162,121 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 162,563.
I HAVE A 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THAT HAS HAD A HOST OF PROBLEMS TO DATE. NOW I AM EXPERIENCING TWO MORE. TWICE IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH A 1/4 OF A TANK OF GAS OR BETTER WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR STALLS, THE GAS GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY. IF I SIT FOR A MOMENT AND THEN RESTART THE CAR, THE GAS GAUGE GOES BACK TO 1/4 FULL OR BETTER. IT IS VERY FRIGHTENING WHEN THE CAR JUST SUDDENLY STALLS OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS THE ABS SYSTEM IS NOW COMING ON WHEN IT SHOULD NOT. IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS I HAVE HAD TROUBLE BRINGING THE CAR TO A STOP. THE ABS COMES ON AND DISENGAGES THE BRAKES AND THE CAR SKIDS AHEAD INSTEAD OF STOPPING IMMEDIATELY. WE HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN ON OUR 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO TRUCK. IT WAS FIXED UNDER RECALL, THEN STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS. WHEN WE CALLED CHEVY, THEY SAID THEY ONLY FIX UNDER RECALL ONCE. WE WERE ABLE TO DISENGAGE THE ABS. I HAVE MY SERVICE STATION LOOKING NOW TO SEE IF WE CAN DISENGAGE THE ABS ON THE TRAILBLAZER TOO. THESE CHEVYS ARE A REAL HAZARD! *TR

MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE ARE SO CORRODED THAT THEY STARTED TO LEAK AND CAUSE A SMOKE CONDITION .. *TR
CAME HOME AFTER REFUELING MY 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LTZ W/151000MI, NOTICED STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE. NEVER NOTICED BEFORE - THOUGHT I JUST SPILLED SOME. SMELL PERSISTED, LOOKED UNDER HOOD, UNDER CAR, NOTICED FUEL DRIPPING DOWN FROM FUEL TANK. CALLED GM CUST SVC 866-790-5600 WAS ADVISED THERE IS SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR WARRANTY REPLACEMENT OF PLASTIC TANK TO REMEDY CORROSION. SUPERVISOR CONFIRMED MY VIN IS IN RANGE BUT WOULD NOT HONOR WARRANTY - THEY ONLY COVER TO 10YR-120K MI. VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, SO CRACK IN TANK MUST BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT - PLASTIC TANK SHOULD LAST THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. GM REFUSES TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE TANK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING IN RAINY WEATHER WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND ROLLED OVER APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN FEET. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL BODY DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THIRD GEAR WAS BURNED OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT BELIEVED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 03V075000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, SHE WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM IF HER VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,570 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 105,580.
CAR RUNNING GREAT, PARKED IT FOR AN HOUR THEN GOT IN MY CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START. DASH LIGHTS AND RADIO CAME ON BUT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. TOOK THE KEY OUT, FRONT HEADLIGHT STUCK ON. IN JUNE 2010 THE OVERHEAD DVD PLAYER QUIT WORKING AND THE BOSE IN-DASH STEREO SYSTEMS BEGAN TO INTERMITTENTLY WORK AND NOT WORK. IN MAY 2012 THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD SOMETIMES NOT TURN ON AND AT TIMES IN OPERATION WOULD STOP OPERATING MID WAY. AT THE SAME TIME, THE BRIGHT LIGHTS SOMETIMES WOULD NOT COME ON. MOVING THE STEERING COLUMN UP AND DOWN WOULD ALLOW THE BRIGHTS TO OPERATE, BUT IN MOST CASES THEY DON'T WORK AT ALL. THE HEAT & A/C FAN MOTOR ONLY WORKS ON HIGH SPEED AS WELL LEAVING THE OTHER SPEEDS INOPERATIVE. IT SEEMS THERE MAY BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND I'M NOT SURE IF THE STEREO AND DVD PLAYER WOULD BE SOMEHOW CONNECTED WITH THAT PORTION OF THE WIRING HARNESS. I HAVE AN 02 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. I PURCHASED IT IN 08. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS DEFECTIVE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT TO REPORT THAT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS SWITCHING AROUND ON ITS OWN AND CAUSING THE TRUCK TO PUT ITSELF IN 4WD WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WASN'T A PROBLEM AND THE 4WD BOX NEEDED TO BE RESET BUT IT WAS NOTHING THAT WOULD CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS. TODAY WHILE DRIVING TO WORK I WAS ALMOST IN A WRECK BECAUSE THE TRUCK JUMPED FROM 2WD TO 4WD BY ITSELF AND MY TRUCK STARTED JERKING AND SLOWED DOWN (ON THE HIGHWAY). WHENEVER BRAKING AND SLOWING DOWN ALMOST TO A STOP, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) WILL ENGAGE. VEHICLE MAKES THE TYPICAL ABS "CHATTER" SOUND WHEN THIS OCCURS AND THE ABS ENGAGEMENT CAN BE FELT IN THE BRAKE PEDAL. ROAD CONDITIONS ARE CLEAN AND DRY; ROAD SURFACE IS LEVEL AND NOT BUMPY. I WAS DRIVING WEST ON THE #10 FRY NEAR PALM SPRINGS CA (65-70 MPH) WHEN THE FRONT LEFT TIRE BEGAN TO THUMB AND COME APART. APRX. 80% OF THE TIRE TREAD/BELT SEPARATED FROM THE DEFINITY DAKOTA TIRE. THE REMAINING TIRE NEVER WENT FLAT. AFTER PULLING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I CALLED AAA AND THEY REMOVED THE TIRE AND REPLACED IT WITH MY SPARE. THE AAA TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID THE TIRE CLEARLY FAILED DUE TO A DEFECT. THREE DAYS LATER THE CAR ( CHEVY. TRAILBLAZER) WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP, DUE TO THE FLAPPING TREAD CAUSING FL BODY,HEADLIGHT, F BUMPER, L RUNNING BOARD AND FL WHEEL WELL DAMAGE. SEIDNER'S REPAIR SHOP REMOVED THE DEFECTED TIRE, IT WAS DISCARDED IN ERROR AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO RETRIEVE IT. THE ORIG SET OF TIRES WERE PURCHASED AT PEP BOYS 5/21/06, WHEN I RETURNED LAST WEEK (5/22/10) TO THE STORE WHERE I PURCHASED THE SET THEY TOLD ME PER THERE CORP. OFFICE CURRENT RECALLS DID NOT COVER MY SIZE. ALSO (5/25/10) THE PEP BOYS CORP. CHEVY 2002 TB LT/4WD - MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SINCE PURCHASED (USED 3/2010). STARTED WITH REAR WW NON-FUNCTION WHICH CHEVY DEALER CHARGED $1500 TO REPAIR, CLAIMING IT WAS BAD BODY WIRING HARNESS AND IT WAS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM BUT CHEVY WOULD NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. I PURCHASED A USED 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER VIN# [XXX] AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEMS WILL NOT TURN ON AND CEASED OPERATION WHILE IN USE. (MOISTURE SENSITIVE WIPER SYSTEM) THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE ON 2/4/2004 RECALL ID #69922 I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED ON 7/2004 FOR A SEAL ASSEMBLY AND THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER THEY COULD DO. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS THE INFORMATION BELOW WAS POSTED IN THE RECALL AD: BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF WATER WITHIN THE WIPER MODULES CAN EITHER CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT OR CAN LEAD TO THE CORROSION OF COMPONENTS WITHIN THE MODULE. CONSEQUENCE DEPENDING ON THE OCCURRENCE AND WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
