THE WHOLE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE, DOES NOT LET ME KNOW HOW FAST I'M GOING OR HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE, OIL PRESSURE GAUGE DOESN'T WORK, TEMPERATURE GAUGE DOESN'T WORK... WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN RECALLED? THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS, CONSIDERING I HAVE 4 KIDS THAT ARE CONSTANTLY IN THE CAR WITH ME AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY VEHICLE?? AND IT ALSO TELLS ME THAT MY FUEL LEVEL IS LOW, EVEN AFTER I FILL MY TANK. THIS SEEMS LIKE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN THESE VEHICLES, WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE????
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD CONSTANT BRAKING ISSUES. FROM CONTINUAL ROTOR REPLACEMENTS TO REGULAR PAD REPLACEMENTS. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS NEVER BEEN CONSTANT WITH REGARD TO PRESSURE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN"SOFT" WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THE LAST 25 FEET OR SO THERE IS A VIBRATION, HUM, AND WHEN FINALLY STOPPED, THE PEDAL SINKS ANOTHER 1/2 INCH OR SO LIKE IT SIGHS OF RELIEF. THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO JUDGE APPROPRIATE BRAKING DISTANCES AND LACKS CONFIDENCE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. WE TOOK IT TO GROSSMAN CHEVROLET WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED IN OLD SAYBROOK CT. WE WERE TOLD THERES NOTHING WRONG AND OUR DRIVING STYLE IS TO BLAME.THAT WE WERE BRAKING TOO HARD AND CAUSING THE ROTORS TO WARP. THERE IS A FAULT IN THE ABS SENSOR SYSTEM AND GM HAS DONE NOTHING TO ASSIST OWNERS. IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THIS MUST BE RECALLED OR REPAIRED AT GM EXPENSE. I WILL NOT PAY A STEALERSHIP ANY MORE MONEY TO FIX AN ISSUE THAT IS AN ENGINEERING FAULT.
SO I CAN'T REALLY DRIVE AT NIGHT AS MY DIM LIGHTS JUST STOP WORKING. YES I HAVE BRIGHTS AND I HAVE BEEN STOPPED TWICE AND TICKETED ONCE FOR THE ISSUE OF FAILURE TO DIM. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AS THEY ARE RECALLING ALL THE NEWER MODELS BUT NOT THE 2005. I AM FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I HAVE EVEN MOVED RELAYS AROUND BUT NOTHINGS HELPS EXCEPT TO SET ON SIDE OF HIGHWAY FOR A COUPLE HOURS BEFORE THEY APPARENTLY COL DOWN? YOU TELL ME
MY HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS TO SEE ANYTHING. LOOKED ONLINE SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE YET NO RECALLS WHEN ENTERING MY VIN. THANK YOU.
I CAN'T TELL IF MY TANK IS FULL OR EMPTY
MY GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS STOPPED WORKING. FIRST, ABOUT A YEAR AGO MY TAC AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGES STOPPED WORKING. THEN A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE TEMP GAUGE. NOW, LAST WEEK MY GAS GAUGE STOPPED.
MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING MY GAS GAIGE STOPPED WORKING AND MY ODOMETER WENT OUT CANT SEE THE MILELAGE AND I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TAKE,AND THE SPEED IS MOT WORKING.I REMEMBER A RECALL AWHILE AGO IF YOU HAD THE PROBLEM THEY SAID AND I DIDNT AT THAT TIME I THINK IT WAS 2011
LOW BEAMS GO OUT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. NOT EVERY MORNING BUT 2 TO 3 TIMES A WEEK THIS HAPPENS TO ME. IT IS DANGEROUS BUT IT DOESN'T REALLY SCARE ME ANYMORE. IT HAS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, WHEN I STOP AT THE END OF MY ROAD.
WHEN YOU TURN THE HEAT OR AIR ON HIGH THE RED WIRE ON THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR GETS HOT AND MELTS AND I HAVE 2 LITTLE GIRLS THAT RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE. THIS ISN'T NORMAL
MY HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS AND THE RELAY SWITCH. THEY WILL WORK FOR A WHILE AND THEN WILL GO OUT AGAIN. SOMETIMES THEY WILL COME BACK ON. I CANNOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE AT NIGHT WITH NO HEADLIGHTS. THE BRIGHT LIGHTS WILL WORK ONCE IN A WHILE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR A FEW YEARS. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET MY LIGHTS BACK ON AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND I SEE THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. GM NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE. THE 2005 SEEMS TO BIG A BIG ISSUE AND A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS. THE DATE I SELECTED BELOW FOR WHEN THIS HAPPENED IS THE MOST RECENT.
I WAS DRIVING IN THE DARK AND MY AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS TURNED OFF. I PULLED OVER AND WAS ABLE TO GET THEM BACK ON. I GOT ON THE INTERSTATE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE LANE WITH TWO TRACTOR TRAILORS TO MY RIGHT AND TRAFFIC TO MY LEFT. SUDDENLY IT WENT DARK. IT WAS VERY SCARY. I GOT AROUND THE TRUCKS AND PULLED INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE. BEFORE I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP THEY TURNED ON AND STAYED ON. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IN THE DARK A LONG DISTANCE UNTIL THE OTHER NIGHT. MY HEADLIGHTS MAY HAVE BEEN TURNING OFF AND ON IN THE DAYLIGHT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I CHECKED AND THERE WASN'T ANY OPEN RECALLS. ALTHOUGH THE 2006 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER HAS A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. HEADLIGHTS TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING.
I BOUGHT 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER AND THE FUEL GAUGE IS DEFECTIVE. IT IS CRAZY TO HEAR BEEP SOUNDING ALL THE TIME TELLING ME THE GAUGE IS EMPTY WHEN I KNOW FOR SURE IS NOT. I WISH IT COULD BE FIXED, BECAUSE I HAVE MANY OTHERS THINGS IN MY PLATE THAT NEED TO WORRY, I REALLY DON'T NEED ANOTHER ONE.
HEADLIGHTS ON 2005 TRAILBLAZER GO OUT OCCASIONALLY WHILE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN. VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEED AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN STARTED AND DRIVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES.
DRIVING 6 PEOPLE TO PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AT 3 AM 8/5/17 ON THE PARKWAY TO CATCH A FLIGHT FOR A VACATION WHEN NOTICED LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG I WAS DRIVING BEFORE THIS WAS NOTICED. LOW BEAMS WORKED THE EVENING OF 8/12/17 @ 10 PM AFTER RETURNING TO PITTSBURGH AIRPORT AND DRIVING HOME. LOW BEAMS DID NOT WORK AGAIN ON THE EVENING OF 8/24/17 WHEN DRIVING HOME FROM A BASEBALL GAME. REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED 9/1/17 BY NICK CHEVROLET IN TARENTUM, PA. I HAD ASKED BEFORE AND AFTER THE REPAIRS WHETHER THIS WOULD BE COVERED UNDER RECALL BUT WAS TOLD NO BECAUSE MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. THEY MADE IT SEEM LIKE THIS WAS A SEPARATE ISSUE FROM THE KNOWN LOW BEAM ISSUE RECALL OF OTHER CHEVY MODELS. I ALSO CALLED THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE TO SEE IF I COULD GET REIMBURSED FOR THIS ISSUE BUT WAS TOLD THE SAME THING; THAT MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL AND IT IS BASED ON WHAT FACTORY THE CAR WAS MADE AT? THE PART NUMBER USED WAS 15016745 WHICH UPON LOOKING ON THE INTERNET IS A REPLACEMENT PART FOR THE OTHER VEHICLES COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE SAME ISSUE CAN BE PART OF A RECALL FOR SOME YEARS AND MODELS AND NOT OTHERS IF THE PROBLEM AND PART ARE THE SAME??
AIRBAG DID NOT WORK
VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHEN SITTING IDLE OR WHEN CHANGING BETWEEN THE GAS AND BRAKES. I WAS HIT IN THE REAR THIS MORNING WHILE SITTING IN TRAFFIC. THANKFULLY NEITHER VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. I GOOGLED THIS ISSUE A D THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF ISSUES.
MICHELIN LATITUDE TOUR P245/65R17 TIRE TREAD SEPARATING FROM SIDEWALL ON ALL TIRES.
THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. THE TANK IS FILLED FULL BUT IT WILL ALWAYS READ EMPTY. I ALREADY HAVE A REFURBISHED CLUSTER SO IT WILL NOT BE THE CLUSTER'S FAULT. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR TO BE FIXED TO AVOID ACCIDENTS ON THE ROAD.
MY GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING, SO I NEVER KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE.
WHILE DRIVING THE DIM LIGHTS TURN OFF BY THEM SELVES. NOW THEY WILL NOT TURN ON AT ALL. I HAVE REPLACED RELAYS AND FUSES. NO HELP.
THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING AND THE FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN THE TANK IS FULL OF GAS. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT A GAS STATION WHEN FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED.
RPM, GAS, AND VOLTAGE METER ARE NOT READING PROPERLY AT ALL. EVERYWHERE U GO EVERYTIME U START THE TRUCK UP IT DOES NOT READ PROPERLY.
GM IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEMS/RECALL. ON 07/18/2014 I TOOK MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER (32,262 MI.) IN FOR SERVICE TO FIX/REPLACE PARTS: FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. TODAY, 06/02/2017, MY TRAILBLAZER (35,193 MI.) IS STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH WHICH IS CAUSING ABS AND PARKING BRAKES LIGHTS TO COME ON AND STAY ON, THE BLOWER FOR AIR/VENT WILL NOT WORK AND SINCE THESE PARTS ARE ALL CONNECTED ELECTRICALLY, I ONCE AGAIN HAVE TO REPLACE THE FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. I WAS NEVER REIMBURSED FOR THE FIRST RECALL. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. I WOULD HATE TO GET RID OF A PERFECTLY GOOD VEHICLE, THAT HAS HELD UP ALL OF THIS TIME, I ONLY HAVE 35,200 MILES ON THIS 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WILL THE IGNITION SWITCH KEEP FAILING ON THIS VEHICLE? THANK YOU.
THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT WITHOUT ANY WARNING, I CAN'T SEEM TO TURN THEM BACK ON, I HAVE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I TUN THE SWITCH ON AND OFF AND NOTHING HAPPENS, I'VE HAD THE FUSSED AND HEADLIGHTS CHANGED AND I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A SOLUTION. THE SEEM TO JUST GO ON AND OFF ON THEIR OWN. THIS IF A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND I HAVE FOUND OUT I AM NOT THE ONLY CHEVY OWNER THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND I'S SURPRISED TO FIND OUT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS UNSAFE DEFECT!
ALL OF THE GAUGES ON THE CONTROL PANEL DO NOT FUNCTION (SPEEDOMETER, TEMP, GAS) WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED ON, THE GAUGES MAY SLIGHTLY MOVE, BUT ALL ARE INACCURATE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED VARIOUS INJURIES TO THE FACE, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED FOR THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM 45 TO 60 MILES PER HOUR MY WHOLE TRUCK VIBRATES AND IT FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE IS SEIZING BUT IF I ACCELERATE MORE OR REDUCE MY SPEED IT GOES AWAY. I WAS RESEARCHING ONLINE AND FOUND OUT I WASNT THE ONLY ONE IN THE COUNTRY THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM. I WAS JUST THINKING OF EVERYONE'S SAFETY INCLUDING MY OWN.
WHILE DRIVING SEVERAL TIMES THE HEAD LIGHTS HAVE WENT OUT OR DIMMED A LOT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE REAR HATCH WINDOW FAILED AND FRACTURED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT DID NOT BELIEVE THERE WAS A DESIGN FLAW. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000.
GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 3 GAUGES NOT WORKING ON MY INSTRUMENT PANEL INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE GAS GAUGE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS NOT KNOWING WHEN YOUR GAS TANK IS EMPTY OR HOW FAST YOUR GOING. THE GAUGES DO NOT WORK WHETHER I AM DRIVING OR STOPPED.
THIS VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE HEADLIGHT RELAY. THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT ON DIM OCCASIONALLY. THE LIGHTS WILL ALSO STAY ON WHEN THE SWITCH IN SHUT OFF. THEY WILL ALSO COME BACK ON AFTER GOING OFF WHEN THE SWITCH IS OFF. THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR 2006 MODELS WITH THIS ISSUE BUT NONE FOR THE 2005. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
THE GAS GAUGE STAYS ON EMPTY EVERY ONCE INAWHILE IT WILL MOVE BUT GOES RIGHT BACK TO E
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHEN THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE GEARSHIFT IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DRIVE. IN ADDITION, WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY INCREASE ONE GRAM RPM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FORWARD GEAR WAS LOCKED IN WITH THE LOSS OF PARK AND REVERSE AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,672.
FUEL GAUGE SENSOR NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN FUELING UP, THE GAS GAUGE FALLS TO 0, AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE ON AND THE LOW FUEL SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON AND DINGS. AFTER A FEW MILES THE GAUGE GOES TO 1/4 OF A TANK INDICATING THERE IS GAS, BUT NOT INDICATIVE OF ACTUALLY WHAT IS IN THE TANK. I HAVE TRIED TO RESET MY TRIPOMETER EVERY TIME I FUEL UP, AND THEN STOP AT THE GAS STATION AND REFUEL EVERY 240 MILES. HOWEVER THIS PAST WEEKEND I RAN OUT OF FUEL AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. I KNOW NOW THAT THIS IS ALSO UNRELIABLE AND WILL MAKE IT A POINT TO STOP AT EVERY 200 MILES.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED IN 2009. IT HAD ABOUT 60000 MILES ON IT. 1) THE FIRST PROBLEM I HAD WITH IT WAS A BURNOUT OF THE HAC BLOWER PLUG, THAT PART OF THE WIRING HARNESS HAD TO BE CUT OUT AND REPLACED WTH A COMPLETELY NEW PLUG( BOTH HALVES) AND REWIRED IN FOR A COST OF 125.OO AND 3 HOURS OF LABOUR. I LOOKED THIS UP ON THE INTERNET VERY COMMON PROBLEM 2) RIDER SIDE DOOR CONTROL PANEL STOPPED WORKING WITH STRONG ODOR OF BURNT PLASTIC. AGAIN LOOKED UP AND FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT ONLY 2006 VEHICLES 3)BRAKES BURN OUT OF ROTORS ONLY ON RIGHTSIDE- LEFT SIDE ROTORS WERE FINE, BRAKE JOB WITH REPLACEMENT OF 2 LEFT ROTORS I FRONT PISTON AMD ALL 8 PADS 650.00. FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET 4) FAILURE OF IGNITION SWITCH WITH ERRATIC ELECTRICAL FUNCTION OF RUNNING LIGHTS, RADIO AND DASHBOARD INSTRUMENTATION. HAPPENED ON THE ROAD EARLY TWILIGHT VERY DANGEROUS HAD TO GET A LOCAL TOLL FOR 75.00 ALL OF THESE FAILURES HAVE MADE ME VERY WARY OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THEY OCCURRED AT VARIOUS TIMES OVER LAST 4YEAR SOME HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AS NOTED ABOVE. PRESENTLY WAITING FOR IGNITON SYSTEM REPAIR.

IN ADDITION, THE REDUCED ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT WORK ANY LONGER,4 WHEEL DRIVE DOES NOT ENGAGE
MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT IS LEAKING GAS FROM THE GAS TANK UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE WHEN THE SUV IS RUNNING.
FUEL GAUGE ALWAYS SHOWS EMPTY, NOT WORKING. NO WAY TO KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE CAR. OIL GAUGE NOT WORKING.
THE HEADLIGHTS AND GAUGES KEEP DIMMING WHILE DRIVING.THEY WILL FLASH.THE HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OFF COMPLETELY AND THEN COME BACK ON AFTER A MINUTE OR SO.IT IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS GO OFF WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT.I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME TROUBLE.THE 2006 MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT THE 2005 MODELS WERE NOT.WHY WHEN THEY HAVE THE SAME DANGEROUS ISSUES?THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED BY THE LIGHTS GOING OFF CAUSING A WRECK.THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED ALLOT EVERY SINCE I PURCHASED THIS TRAILBLAZER SEVERAL YEARS AGO.
OCCASIONALLY HEADLIGHTS GO OUT AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING. I SEE THAT 2006-07 WERE RECALLED BUT MANY OTHERS WITH A 2005 ALSO COMPLAINED OF THE SAME ISSUE I'M HAVING.
FRAME HAS RUSTED THOUGH, JUST DISCOVERED DURING REPLACEMENT OF RACK AND PINION BY GARAGE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS FAIL SIMULTANEOUSLY. THIS OCCURS WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. I HAVE REPLACED THE HDM SOLID STATE RELAY TWICE, BUT AFTER A TIME. 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR, THE FAILURE OCCURS AGAIN. ONCE THE HDM MODULE BECAME TO HOT TO TOUCH UPON FAILING. THIS LAST TIME, THE THIRD, THE LIGHTS MAY COME ON AGAIN AFTER SOME TIME HAS PASSED. IT IS AS IF THE MODULE IS SHORT CIRCUITING OR OVERHEATING LEADING TO A SHORT CIRCUIT.
WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING LONG DISTANCE IN THE DARK. HAD TO DRIVE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC TIME FRAME, BUT GENERALLY IT HAPPENS ANYWHERE FROM 10- 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. I SUSPECT IT IS HEAT RELATED. I HAVE CHANGED THE HEADLIGHT RELAY #46, BIT IT ONLY FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR A WEEK. AGAIN THE LIGHTS WILL GO OUT AFTER DRIVING SEVERAL MINUTES. I NOTICED THERE IS A RECALL FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE ON THE 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. COULD THIS BE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE. THERE ARE ALSO MULTIPLE FORUMS EXPLAINING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH EARLY 2000 MODEL TRAILBLAZERS. THIS ISSUE HAPPENED APPROX 6 MONTHS AGO. LAST WEEK WE RAN INTO ANOTHER PROBLEM. OUR ABS LIGHT COMES ON PERIODICALLY. LIKE THE HEADLIGHTS GOING OUT, THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME ANYWHERE FROM 10 MINUTES TO 30 MINUTES. AGAIN, I FEEL IT ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS/WIRING IS OVERHEATING AND CAUSING THESE ISSUES. I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS THIS ISSUE AS IT IS AFFECTING HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS USA WIDE.
2005 HAS THE SAME HEADLIGHT MALFUNCTION AS THE 2006 HEADLIGHT GO OUT BY THEMSELVES, THUS CAUSING A UNSAFE CONDITION ON THE HWY. THEY SHOULD BE ON RECALL TOO. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE I 1 OWNER HAD VEHICLE.
OUR 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MANY OF THESE VEHICLES. IT IS A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX AND IT'S A DANGER TO DRIVERS NOT KNOWING HOW FAST THEY ARE TRAVELING.
FUEL GAUGE WAS ON 1/2 TANK. I WENT TO THE GAS STATION TO FILL IT UP AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE GAUGE METER WENT TO THE LEFT AND READ "EMPTY" AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON EVEN THOUGH I HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS. I RESTARTED THE TRUCK AND THE FUEL GAUGE METER STILL READ LOW (LESS THAN A 1/4 TANK), IT EVENTUALLY RETURNED THE TO THE 1/2 GAUGE/METER MARK. CAR WAS STATIONERY AT THE GAS STATION AT TIME OF THE INCIDENT, THEN I EVENTUALLY DROVE OFF AT LOW SPEED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY WITHOUT THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION, A FIRE ORIGINATED FROM THE DRIVER'S DOOR NEAR THE WINDOW SWITCH. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
HEAD ON COLLISION BOTH VEHICLES TRAVELING ABOUT 30MPH ON IMPACT AND TRAILBLAZER AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I HAD MY SEATBELT ON AND WAS NOT INJURED.
PASSENGER LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAS GONE OUT SEVERAL DIFFERENT TIMES OVER THE 5 YEARS WE'VE OWNED IT. HAD A RELAY SWITCHED OUT THAT HELPED FOR A LITTLE BIT. ALSO HAD TO CHANGE THE WIRING RIGHT BY THE HEADLIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS BURNT UP. WE TOOK IT TO CHEVY IN DEVILS LAKE, ND. I SEEM TO NOTICE OTHER TRAILBLAZERS DRIVING AROUND WITH THE SAME HEADLIGHT BURNT OUT. *TR
