I BOUGHT A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, IT ONLY HAD 49,000 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THE RIGHT TAILLIGHT IS NOT WORKING, IT HASN'T WORKED SINCE ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM TWICE AND IT JUST NEEDS TEARING UP. I FEEL THIS IS A GREAT SAFETY HAZARD AND COULD CAUSE A LOT OF DEATHS BECAUSE A PERSON CAN NOT TELL IF YOUR SLOWING DOWN AND CAUSE A WRECK. I FEEL LIKE CHEVROLET NEEDS TO RECALL THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MINE ISN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT IS TORE UP AROUND MY SMALL TOWN OF 17,000 PEOPLE. I HAVE NOTICED AT LEAST 5 MORE JUST IN THIS TOWN THAT ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY EITHER. *TR
GAS GAUGE DID NOT WORK. NOTED FROM TELEVISION REPORT THAT 2005 TRAILBLAZERS HAD PROBLEM WITH GAS TANK AND GAUGE. THE GAUGE ON MY VEHICLE HAD NOT WORKED FOR SOMETIME. FINALLY HAD IT REPAIRED. *TR
MY FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK AND HAS NOT FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS. I READ THAT THERE HAS BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS TO YOUR ORGANIZATION REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. HAVE NOT FIXED BECAUSE THE COST WAS OVER $400. *KB

HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER WITH 60,000, GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING, NOW THE FUEL SENSOR SHUTS THE CAR DOWN RANDOMLY THINKING IT IS OUT OF GAS, MY GIRLFRIEND AND OUR 2 YEAR OLD WERE STRANDED ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS , HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REPAIR IT AT A COST OF 6-700$ , WORRIED THAT IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN AS THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PART THAT WAS BAD. *TR
MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR NOT WORKING. IT STARTED ABOUT A MONTH AGO WITH THE VEHICLE HAVING 49,000 MILES ON IT. THE GAS NEEDLE STARTED ACTING CRAZY, BOUNCING ALL OVER, NOW IT JUST SHOWS EMPTY. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM, IT SHOULDN'T COST ME $600 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM FOR A SENSOR. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. SIX MONTHS AGO WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE SPEED ODOMETER FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED COMPLAINTS FOR THE FAILURE; THEREFORE, THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND HE SHOULD TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. ON 7/18/09 I FUELED UP MY TRUCK WITH GAS AND THE FUEL GAUGE, WHICH WAS WORKING AT THE TIME QUIT WORKING. I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO PEOPLE DEPENDING ON THEIR VEHICLES FOR DAY TO DAY LIVE, PLUS THE WAY THE PRICE OF GAS IS PEOPLE CAN'T ALWAYS AFFORD TO STOP AND PUT GAS IN THE VEHICLE. AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS VERY ISSUE. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS MATTER BECAUSE THE PRICE OF VEHICLES NOWADAYS IS WAY OUT OF RANGE FOR THE WORKING CLASS PEOPLE. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS 4WD AND JUST RECENTLY HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE GAS GAUGE NOT REGISTERING CORRECTLY. COME TO FIND OUT THAT THIS IS NOT A NEW PROBLEM WITH GM VEHICLES AND IT IS THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IN THE GAS TANK THAT IS BAD. EVERYTIME I FILL MY GAS TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE LIGHT AND SENSOR SHOW THAT MY TANK IS EMPTY. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. MY FUEL GAUGE NO LONGER WORKS. THE ONLY WAY I CAN TRACK HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE IS BY KEEPING UP WITH MY MILEAGE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN TRAILBLAZERS AND THAT IT WOULD COST $500-$600 TO REPAIR. WHEN I DID A QUICK SEARCH ONLINE I FOUND HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT! I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND WANT TO KNOW WHY THIS WASN'T A RECALL! I GOT NO ASSISTANCE FROM THE GENERAL MOTORS AND WAS ONLY TOLD TO "GO THROUGH MY DEALER."
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WOULD READ INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS AND WOULD FLUCTUATE INTERMITTENTLY BETWEEN EMPTY AND FULL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
IN 2009, I NOTICED SIGNIFICANT DROPS IN THE FUEL LEVEL LEADING ME TO THINK PEOPLE WERE STEALING GAS FROM MY TANK FROM MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER EXT. AFTER INSTALLING A LOCKING GAS CAP I REALIZED IT WAS A MALFUNCTION, NOT THEFT. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD NOT RISE ABOVE 1/4 TANK EVEN WHEN FULL, BUT SPENDS MOST OF ITS TIME ON EMPTY. I HAVE STALLED WHILE DRIVING TWICE BECAUSE I CAN ONLY ESTIMATE HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE BY THE TRIP ODOMETER. IN APRIL 2011 I LEARNED ABOUT THIS INVESTIGATION. *TR
A/C RESISTOR AND WIRING HARNESS MELTED. *TR
PLEASE LOOK INTO THE FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM WITH THE O5 AND UP CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS. THE DEALERS AND GM WILL NOT REPAIR AND THE PART IS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER BECAUSE EVERYONE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS. THE GAS GAUGE STARTS OUT ERRATIC THEN WILL COMPLETELY STOP WORKING AND YOU NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN YOUR TANK. THE COST OF THIS PART WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE IS AROUND 800 DOLLARS. I WOULD UNDERSTAND IF IT WAS EVERY FEW VEHICLES BUT ITS ALL THE TRAIL BLAZERS AND LIKE I SAID THERE ARE SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE RECEIVED REPLACEMENTS HAVE SAID IT IS ALREADY BROKE AGAIN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. AMERICAN TAX PAYERS BAILED THEM OUT PLEASE HELP ALL OF US WITH THIS CONCERN MY TRUCK HAS DIED 2 TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE GAUGE IS NOT WORKING AND CAN NOT GET THE PART TO REPAIR. NO REAL EVENTS, THE HINGE BECAME UNGLUED FROM THE REAR WINDOW, CAUSING THE WINDOW TO BECOME UNHOOKED FROM THE BODY OF THE TRAILBLAZER. BECAUSE THIS THEN RAISES THE WINDOW ABOVE THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE THE WIND CAN CATCH IT AND PULL IT COMPLETELY OFF THE VEHICLE WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGH SPEEDS. *TR
RECENTLY, THE GAS GAUGE IN MY VEHICLE HAS STOPPED WORKING CORRECTLY. IT NO LONGER ACCURATELY REPORTS HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE. IN RESEARCHING THE ISSUE, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE (2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER). ALTHOUGH NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO ME PERSONALLY, I HAVE READ OF INSTANCES WHERE THE CAR RAN OUT OF GAS WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THE DRIVER ASSUMED THAT GAS GAUGE WAS WORKING CORRECTLY. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE. WITH IT OCCURRING SO FREQUENTLY, THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE PARTS BEING USED. IT SEEMS TO OCCUR MOST OFTEN IN 2005 - 2006 VEHICLES BASED ON THE GMT360/370 PLATFORM (CHEV. TRAILBLAZER, GMC ENVOY, ETC). TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. SINCE JULY 5, 2009, THE FUEL GAUGE DIAL FAILS TO DISPLAY THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF GASOLINE IN THE TANK. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE FUEL BEGAN TO LEAK OUT. IN ADDITION, THE TANK COULD BE EMPTY, BUT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD DISPLAY A FULL TANK. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, AND OBSERVED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED EMPTY OR A READING LEVEL CLOSE TO EMPTY. WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION, THE FAILURE FLUCTUATED AT ANY GIVEN SPEED BEING TRAVELED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,425.
THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING ONE RANDOM HOT DAY. THERE WERE NO RESULTING INJURIES, INCIDENCES OR CRASHES AS A RESULT. MY TRAILBLAZER HAS YET TO HAVE A RELIABLE DAY WHERE MY SPEEDOMETER WORKS CONTINUOUSLY. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH 76,000 MILES ON IT. THE GAS GAUGE AND SPEEDOMETER STARTED MESSING UP ABOUT A YEAR AGO. IT STOPPED WORKING AND STARTED BACK ON ITS OWN. WELL NOW A YEAR LATER THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK AND THE SPEEDOMETER WORKS WHEN IT WANTS. AFTER FURTHER STUDY INTO THE PROBLEM MY MECHANIC SAYS ITS THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. SO I GO ONLINE TO TRY AND FIND ONE AND INSTEAD I FIND THAT ITS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THOUSANDS OF TRAILBLAZER OWNERS. I CALL GM TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE AND WAS TOLD SINCE OUT OF WARRANTY TO BAD. I THINK THAT WITH AS MANY COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE READ AND KNOW ABOUT THIS IS A MATTER THAT GM SHOULD RESOLVE. I HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER EXT PURCHASED NEW IN JULY 05. RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR HAD REDUCED ENGINE POWER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN CAME ON THEN MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF. IT STARTED BACK UP AFTER PULLING OFF THE ROAD BUT HAD TO ENDURE THIS THE ENTIRE TIME WHILE DRIVING HOME. WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR DIAGNOSIS I WAS TOLD THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED AFTER HAVING THAT REPAIRED I DROVE HOME AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE CAR SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK AGAIN THEY NOTICED AN ADDITIONAL PROBLEM " THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WIRING WAS CHAFFING ON FUEL PUMP GROUND TERMINAL" OR IN LAYMAN'S TERM THE WIRE WAS SITTING IN FUEL SO THEY HAD TO REMOVE THE FUEL TANK AND REROUTE THE WIRES. THIS SOUNDS VERY DANGEROUS AND IF THIS IS HAPPENING PLEASE REPORT IT. THERE ARE TSB REPORTS ON THE ISSUE WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BUT GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS. THE QUESTION IS WHY NOT? I HAVE ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL ON THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED LAST YEAR AND AGAIN THIS YEAR. NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THIS VEHICLE. IN MY OPINION THESE ARE VEHICLE DEFECTS NOT PROBLEMS YOU SHOULD BE HAVING WITH THE NORMAL MAINTENANCE ISSUES. GM NEEDS TO ISSUE RECALLS TO HAVE THESE ISSUES RESOLVED. THE PETITIONER REQUESTS THAT NHTSA OPEN AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE PERFORMANCE/RELIABILITY OF THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSTALLED IN MODEL YEAR 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER VEHICLES. THE PETITIONER ALLEGES THAT THE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE AND COULD RESULT IN A SUBJECT VEHICLE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, STALL, AND BEING REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. MY SPEEDOMETER HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING IN MY '05' TRAILBLAZER IT HAS 96,000 MILES ON IT AND THE GAS HAND IS STARTING TO GO OUT ALSO. *TR
A/C WAS BLOWING HOT AIR. TOOK CAR TO MECHANIC TO CHARGE AND REPLACE FREON AND THEY FOUND A LARGE LEAK IN THE LINE UNDER THE GAS TANK. CALLED DEALERSHIP FOR WARRANTY AND WAS TOLD IT DID NOT COVER CORROSION AND THE PART WAS ON MANUFACTURED BACKORDER FOR 3 WEEKS COSTING $1000. LOCAL MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO WELD A PIECE TO FIX LEAK. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CURVY ROAD. I LOOKED AWAY FROM THE ROAD FOR A SECOND AND WHEN I LOOKED BACK TO THE ROAD I WAS SLIGHTLY VEERING OFF. I OVERCORRECTED THE CAR TO MY LEFT AND CORRECTED BACK TO THE RIGHT. ONCE I WAS BACK STRAIGHT AGAIN-THE SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THIS ALL HAPPENED VERY QUICK. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35-40 MPH. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING AND THERE WAS NO COLLISION. THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER PASSENGER IN THE CAR AND NO ONE WAS HURT. I CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHO DECLINED THE CLAIM SINCE THERE WAS NO COLLISION OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. THEY ATTRIBUTED THE CRASH TO OVERLY SENSITIVE YAW SENSORS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOLD ME THEY HAVE SEEN SIMILAR OCCURRENCES THAT THEY ATTRIBUTED TO THE YAW SENSOR. I MADE A CLAIM WITH CHEVROLET, THE MANUFACTURER, OF MY VEHICLE. CHEVROLET SENT OUT A 3RD PARTY ENGINEER/INSPECTOR TO LOOK AT AND DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINEER'S REPORT SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREPARING FOR A ROLL OVER AND ACTED AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO SO THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL MALFUNCTIONS. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION. THE AIRBAGS ON THE VEHICLE HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. CHEVROLET SAYS THE CAR HAS NO MECHANICAL DEFECT AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY SAYS THERE WAS NO COLLISION OR ANYTHING TO ATTRIBUTE TO WHY THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, OTHER THAN THE AIRBAGS BEING TOO SENSITIVE. *TR
MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER STARTED AT 60,000 MILES HAVING MY SPEEDOMETER GOING CRAZY AND IT FINALLY STUCK AT 120 AND ONLY MOVED OCCASIONALLY MOVED I TRIED TO GO WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, BUT ENDED UP GETTING A TICKET...THE FIRST IN MY 50 YEARS OF DRIVING. I WENT TO GET IT FIXED, BUT FOUND OUT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A DEFECT IN THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS, CHEVROLET WAS ONLY FIXING IT IN CERTAIN OF THEIR EXPENSIVE MODELS. IT WAS GOING TO COST ME OVER $500, WHICH I CANNOT AFFORD. I USE MY GPS TO WATCH MY MILEAGE. NOW THE GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, THE CD PLAYER, AND THE OTHER GAUGES ARE IN QUESTION...PLUS MY LIGHTS BLINK OFF AT NIGHT. I AM A SENIOR AND CANNOT AFFORD TO GET ANOTHER CAR, OR EVEN FIX THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE TRAILBLAZER FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. CHEVROLET SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. MY CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 80,000 MILES AND I WANT TO KEEP IT THE REST OF MY LIFE. PLEASE HELP. *TR
I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY FUEL GAUGE OR FUEL PUMP. JUNE 15-24 2009 I WAS PUTTING GAS INTO MY VEHICLE EVERY DAY BECAUSE IT WAS READING THAT MY TANK WAS EMPTY. ON JUNE 24, I COMPLETELY FILLED UP MY TANK AND THE LIGHT REMAINED ON AS IF MY TANK WAS EMPTY. THE LIGHT REMAINED ON UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, THE GAUGE MOVED UP SHOWING THAT I ONLY HAD A 1/4 OF A TANK OF GAS. MY GAUGE IS GIVING ME A FALSE READING OF THE AMOUNT OF GAS I HAVE IN MY TANK AND I NOW HAVE TO DEPEND ON THE MILES PER TRIP TO MAKE SURE I DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS. *TR
RECENTLY, THE GAS GAUGE ON MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER QUIT WORKING. I FILLED UP, AND THE GAUGE SET AT EMPTY UNTIL I HAD DRIVE 10-15 MILES. UNTIL THEN, THE EMPTY LIGHT WOULD STAY ON AND THE "MILES LEFT" SHOWS NONE WHICH RENDERS THAT ALERNATE SOLUTION UNUSABLE. THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS CLOSE ENOUGH TO LET ME DETERMINE IF I NEED TO FILL UP AGAIN IS THE "TRIP A" FEATURE. I CAN GUESS HOW MANY MILES I NORMALLY GO BEFORE A FILL UP.. BUT WHO'S TO SAY THAT IS WORKING RIGHT EITHER? THE IMPROPER FUNCTIONING OF THIS ELEMENT OF MY VEHICLE IS NOT ONLY A PAIN IN THE BACKSIDE, BUT ALSO COULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY CHILD IF THE CAR WERE TO RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE FOUND FORUMS RECENTLY WHEREIN MANY CUSTOMERS OF GM ARE HAVING THE SAME DIFFICULTY WITH THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. WE ARE ALL FRUSTRATED TO SAY THE LEAST. I HAVE HEARD THERE WERE RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE PRIOR TO 2004 - SEEMS GM DIDN'T GET IT RIGHT AFTER THAT TIME. HOW ABOUT A RECALL NOW? *TR
FUEL GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING ON MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER - CAN ONLY GUESS HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE LEFT BY USING THE TRIP ODOMETER OR CHECKING MY MILEAGE. THIS IS A COMPLETE (NOT TO MENTION RISKY) PAIN IN THE BUTT. HUNDREDS OF US HAVE COMPLAINED TO GM.. THEY TAKE NO ACTION EXCEPT TO SAY "WE ARE SORRY." WHAT THE HECK? WHY SHOULD A KNOWN AND REPORTED DEFECT IN A VEHICLE NOT WARRANT ATTENTION BY THE MANUFACTURER? 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SUV FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAILED CAUSING ERRATIC FUEL GAUGE OPERATION. GAS LIGHT COMES ON WHEN FILLED UP .LOOKED ON INTERNET AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS.HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL DIED FROM THIS SAFETY FAILURE?
MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. IT SAYS ITS EMPTY WHEN I FILL THE TANK AND ANY OTHER TIME FOR THAT MATTER. I HAVE TO USE THE "FUEL USED" DATA IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER TO FIGURE HOW MUCH FUEL WAS USED TO KNOW WHEN TO FILL UP. THEN I RESET IT EVERYTIME I FILL UP. VERY DISSAPOINTING. *TT

SPEEDOMETER STOP WORKING ON 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, AND ALSO THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY TRUCK RPM'S BEGAN TO REV, AND I BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. MY TRAILBLAZER WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF SECOND GEAR NOW. I DISCOVERED A LEAK INTO THE TRANSMISSION COOLING LINE AND REPLACED IT. I'VE ALSO CHANGED THE FLUID AND FILTER. AFTER TAKING MY TRUCK TO A LOCAL AUTOZONE FOR A CODE SCAN, WHICH BROUGHT BACK NO CODES, I TOOK THE TRUCK TO MY LOCAL DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THEY CHARGED ME $105.00 TO TELL ME THAT THE TRUCK WASN'T "THROWING CODES" I ALREADY KNEW THAT! THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE APPROX. $800.00 JUST TO PULL THE TRANSMISSION APART TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND $400.00 TO PUT IT BACK IN. THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE THE COST OF FIXING IT! AFTER CONSULTING WITH AN ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC, I CHANGED THE TCC (TRANSMISSION CLUTCH CONVERTER) SOLENOID TO NO AVAIL. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS! GM WILL OFFER NO ASSISTANCE UNTIL I PAY THE DEALER TO DISASSEMBLE THE TRANSMISSION, THEN "THERE IS A POSSIBILITY" THAT THE FIX WILL BE COVERED. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT DONE ANY TOWING AND ONLY HAS 56,600 MILES ON IT! THERE IS NO REASON FOR A TRANSMISSION FAILURE! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE OIL GAUGE FAILED. THE DEALER STATED THE SPEED CONTROL SENOR HAD FAILED AND THE FAILURE WAS COMMON BUT WAS NOT RECALLED. IN ADDITION, THE SPEED CONTROL SENSOR ALSO CONTROLLED THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO DETERMINE IF THE OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPPING IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW AND LESS THEN 3 YEARS AND ONLY ABOUT 1,000 MILES OVER THE WARRANTY THE FUEL GAGE STOPPED WORKING. GM JUST SENT A LETTER STATING THAT THEY WILL REIMBURSE FOR ONLY 50% WHEN THEY KNOW THIS IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS FUEL GAUGE DID NOT DISPLAY THE ACTUAL AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED, THE GAUGE WOULD DISPLAY AN EMPTY READING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE GAS STATION AFTER PAYING FOR THE GAS AND FILLING UP THE TANK. IT WAS ALL OF A SUDDEN WITH THAT TANK OF GAS, THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF THIS PREVIOUSLY. IT ALWAYS GOES TO EMPTY WHEN I FILL THE TANK AND THE LOW LEVEL LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT 50 MILES THEN IT GOES TO FULL AND AFTER ANOTHER 100 MILES OR SO GOES BACK TO EMPTY WHEN I KNOW THAT IT'S NOT CLOSE TO BEING EMPTY. I FIND THIS BEING A SAFETY CONCERN IF I WERE TO RUN OUT OF FUEL WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY WITH NO WHERE TO GO. I HAVE NOT REPLACED THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR YET BUT I AM PLANNING ON FIXING GM'S FAULTY PRODUCT IN THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS. I HAVE ALSO READ A FEW CONSUMER REPORTS AND THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRAILBLAZERS. IT WOULD BE NICE FOR GM TO RECALL THIS. *TR

FUEL GAUGE FAILURE. GAUGE DID NOT INDICT FUEL LEVEL ON MANY OCCASIONS, FINALLY FAILING COMPLETELY DURING SUMMER 2009. CAN CAUSE REAL PROBLEMS IF UNAWARE GAUGE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND VEHICLE WERE TO RUN OUT OF FUEL IN HIGH TRAFFIC SITUATION SUCH AS ON THE FREEWAY. HAVE CONTACTED MANUFACTURER TO NO AVAIL. *TR
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR HAS FAILED RESULTED IN INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READINGS. FUEL TANK SENSOR IS CURRENTLY INOPERATIVE. POTENTIAL FOR ENGINE STALLING AND REAR-END COLLISIONS. *TR
GAS GAUGE READS EMPTY REGARDLESS OF ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. IT STARTED OUT AS AN INTERMITTENT, AND PERIODIC EVENT. IT THEN WOULD DEPENDABLY HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILL-UP AT THE PUMP. NOW, IT IS CONTINUOUS. *TR
FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK ACCURATELY. SHOWS FUEL WHEN ITS EMPTY . THE GAUGE NEVER SHOWS FULL WHEN TANK IS FILLED TO CAPACITY. PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND OLD PARTS ARE STILL ON HAND. *TR
GAS GAUGE, SHOES IT HAS A DIFFERENT AMOUNT OF GAS.. WHEN TURNED OFF IT CAN SAY ITS AT 1/2 A TANK, THEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS ON IT SHOWS THAT CAR HAS 1 1/2 TANKS OF GAS. ITS NOT CONSISTENT AND I ALWAYS HAVE TO GUESS HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE CAR. ALSO THE CHECK LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON. THE GAS TANK HAS ISSUES TOO. *TR
