TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE STOPPED BECAUSE IT UNEXPECTEDLY RAN OUT OF FUEL. THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS AND THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE VEHICLE'S FUEL TANK CAPACITY. ASSISTANCE WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE FUEL SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON A SEPARATE OCCASION FOR THE SAME FAILURE AND A PART WAS ORDERED FOR THE FAILED COMPONENT. THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE REPAIRED AGAIN UNTIL THE PART IS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS INACCURATE READINGS. HE IS IN THE PROCESS OF TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, BUT WAS REFERRED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 83,000.
MY TRAILBLAZER HAS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, WHEN I AM COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT IT WILL SUDDENLY LURCH AHEAD OR SURGE AHEAD. IT WILL SOMETIMES DO IT WHILE I AM DRIVING SLOWLY THROUGH A PARKING LOT. IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS IT COULD CAUSE ME TO PROCEED INTO A MAIN INTERSECTION. THE LOCAL DEALER SHOWED ME A GM NOTICE THAT STATED THEY WERE AWARE OF A PROBLEM, BUT COULD NOT FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS . THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON A 2 LANE ROAD GOING 45MPH. A CAR WAS FOLLOWING CLOSE BEHIND ME SO I WENT TO GET INTO RIGHT LANE AND MY TRUCK DID 5 360 AND HIT 3 TREES HEAD ON AND AIR BAG NEVER DEPLOYED. *TR
THE HEADLAMPS AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS DIM AND BRIGHTEN AS YOU DRIVE. IT IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. CHEVY HAS SAID THIS IS NORMAL FOR THE TRAILBLAZER AND NOT REPAIRABLE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
FUEL GAUGE INOPERATIVE. EVEN WITH A FULL TANK, THE GAUGE REMAINS ON EMPTY MOST OF THE TIME. OCCASIONALLY, THE GAUGE WILL RISE TO 1/4 AND STAY THERE FOR 40-50 MILES THEN RETURN TO EMPTY. *TR

AT LOW RPMS THE TRUCK WILL LUNGE FORWARD /REVERSE DEPENDING WHICH GEAR YOU ARE IN . THIS HAPPENS WHEN IT WANTS IT IS NOT A CONSTANT . IT IDLES HIGH AND SURGES. FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED IN FEB DEALER DID NOTHING . NEXT OCCURRENCE IT ALMOST HIT MY DAUGHTERS FRIEND WHEN SHE PASSED IN FRONT OF ME. AGAIN DEALER DID NOTHING AND FINALLY THE LAST OCCURRENCE IT LUNGED INTO A TREE. AGAIN DEALER AND GM FOUND NOTHING. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE MITCHELL REPAIR COMPANY THAT STATES THAT THE YEAR MAKE OF MY TRUCK THIS HAS HAPPENED . HOWEVER GM DENIES THIS. THIS TRUCK IS NOT SAFE. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER WHOSE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. IT HAPPENED BACK IN 08 AND I REFUSE TO PAY TO REPAIR A VEHICLE THAT IS STILL FAIRLY NEW. IT CONSTANTLY READS EMPTY WHEN I FILL UP THE TANK. I'VE HAD TO RELY ON THE ODOMETER SO I DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS. THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM. AS I PRESS ON THE BRAKES WHILE GOING OVER A BUMP THE VEHICLE WILL SKIP OR SKID AND THE STEERING LOCKS UP. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT 370. WHILE DRIVING ON AN ICY BRIDGE AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SPUN AND STRUCK A BRICK WALL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 25,000.
MY SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THE HEATER AND A/C DON'T WORK. MY FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS INSIDE MY CAR DO NOT WORK, THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK. BASICALLY MY ENTIRE DASHBOARD DOES NOT WORK. WHAT DID CHEVY DO ABOUT IT?? SENT ME A LETTER STATING THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY HALF OF THE COST TO REPAIR THE FUEL GAGE BUT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE FIXED AT A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. I COULD GET THE SAME THING FIXED AT MY MECHANIC AND PAY THE FULL AMOUNT AND IT WOULD STILL COST ME LESS THAN HAVING THE DEALERSHIP FIX IT AND CHEVY PAYING HALF THE COSTS. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND I NOTICED THE FUEL GAUGE WAS SHOWING EMPTY THE LAST TWO MONTHS. AT FIRST IT WOULD SHOW EMPTY AND A FEW MINUTES LATER IT WOULD SHOW THE CORRECT READING. NOW IT REMAINS ON EMPTY AND IF THE GAUGE DOES MOVE IT ONLY GOES AS FAR AS 1/4 TANK FULL, IF THAT. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, ON 1-20-08 THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED, IT STUCK ON 80 + MPH ( WHEN IT SHOULD BE AT ZERO ) AND WOULD ONLY GO HIGHER IN MOTION. ON 1-23-08 MY WIFE TOOK VEHICLE TO PHILLIPS CHEVY IN FRANKFORT, ILL. WE ARE TOLD THAT IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS THE PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, WE ARE NOT COVERED UNDER NEW CAR WARRANTY BECAUSE WE HAVE EXCEEDED THE MILEAGE. IT SEEMS THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER GM AND CHEVY OWNERS FOR VARIOUS YEARS THAT HAVE SAME PROBLEM AND THERE IS A LAW SUIT IN WASHINGTON AND OREGON THAT ARE SEEKING CLASS-ACTION STATUS. I HAVE A 2005 EXTENDED CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. AT 37,000 MILES THE FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER WITH THE WARRANTY. TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $1200.00!!!! THE GAUGE QUIT WORKING 6 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRAILBLAZER AND I PAID $25000 FOR IT. WHILE DRIVING ABOVE 30MPH, IF TAKE FOOT OFF ACCELERATOR, HEADLIGHTS WILL DIM TO ALMOST NO LIGHT AS WILL THE DASH LIGHTS, ON OFF, ON OFF, WHEN PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR, LIGHTS WILL GO ON NORMALLY WITH SAME BRIGHTNESS. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS V6, AND I WAS GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WHEN I NOTICE MY SPEEDOMETER READ 30 MPH. I KNEW I WAS GOING FASTER THAN THIS SO I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CUT THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED IT. IT BEGAN TO WORK FINE UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MONDAY EVENING WHEN IT DID IT AGAIN, THIS TIME ONLY REGISTERING 0 MPH WHEN I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. FINALLY ON 01/13/08, I GOT IN IT TO GO TO WORK AND IT WAS REGISTERING 120 MPH BUT THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STANDSTILL. *TR
JUST AS SO MANY OTHER 2005 TRAILBLAZER OWNERS, NEITHER MY SPEEDOMETER OR GAS GAUGE HAS WORKED FOR SOME TIME. I REFUSE TO PAY THE COST TO HAVE THESE REPAIRED AT $500 + ON A VEHICLE THAT I FEEL IS STILL NEW. TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM, I PURCHASED A GARMIN WHICH WILL TELL YOU WHAT SPEED YOU ARE GOING AND HAVE FIGURED OUT WITH MY GAS GAUGE THAT WHEN I HAVE GAS, MY LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON AND WHEN I AM GETTING LOW, IT GOES OFF. SO I WORK BACKWARDS, WHEN MY LOW FUEL LIGHT GOES OFF, I FILL MY GAS TANK AND MONITOR THE MILES I HAVE DRIVEN. WHY IS GM NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PROBLEM, IT IS OBVIOUSLY WIDESPREAD. *TR

THE GAS GAUGE ON MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER IS DEFECTIVE. THE GAUGE BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO. WHEN I FILL THE TANK, THE GAUGE DROPS TO EMPTY. IT THEN FLOATS AROUND AND I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I ACTUALLY HAVE. I HAVE TO USE MY TRIP METER TO KNOW WHEN I NEED TO FILL UP. THIS IS A DANGEROUS AND WORRISOME THING TO DEAL WITH. I WOULD HATE TO RUN OUT OF GAS ON THE INTERSTATE BY MYSELF. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ON THE INTERNET AND APPARENTLY THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER, AT 105,000 MILES I HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL SENSOR, ITS THE 3RD FUEL SENOR SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURERED. *TR
WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT ONLY, THE HEADLIGHTS AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKER AND DIM ALONG WITH THE VOLTAGE GAUGE DROPPING DOWN. AFTER 10 OR SO SECONDS, THE VOLTAGE GAUGE RESETS TO 14 AND THE LIGHTS BRIGHTEN TO NORMAL. THE FLICKERING OCCURS AT STEADY DRIVING SPEEDS AS WELL AS DURING SLOW-DOWN. *TR
VEHICLE INSTRUMENT FAILURE DURING DRIVING. THE SPEEDOMETER WILL JUMP AND READ BETWEEN 15-80 MILES PER HOUR OFF, USUALLY HIGH BUT HAS READ LOW. THIS LEADS TO EITHER EXCESS OR SLOW SPEED, BOTH CONDITIONS ARE DANGEROUS IN FREEWAY AND WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM ON EVERY OTHER CHEVY VEHICLE FROM 2003 TO 2005 ON A TRUCK BASE BUT NOT THIS MODEL. THERE IS ALSO FAILURES IN BOTH VOLTAGE AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGES, EACH HAVE LED TO MAKING EMERGENCY STOPS ON THE FREEWAY TO CHECK FOR PROBLEMS. PROBLEM CAN BE CORRECTED BY TURNING CAR ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES (10-20) TO RESET GAUGES. *TR
IN RECENT MONTHS MY FUEL GUAGE INDICATOR LIGHT IS SHOWING LOW FUEL EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN FUELED TO CAPACITY. AFTER SPEAKING A WITH SEVERAL OTHER CHEVY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THEY ARE, OR HAVE EXPERINCED THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS ADVISED BY ONE OF THE OWNERS THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL SENSOR. THE COST TO REPLACE THIS ITEM THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP WAS BETWEEN $350-$450. AFTER READING THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE AND SPEAKING WITH OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS. ONE CAN CONCLUDE THAT THIS IT A FACTORY, WORKMANSHIP DEFECT; AND THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. FINALLY AS OF THIS COMPLAINT I HAVE NOT REPAIRED THE FUEL SENSOR.*CN

SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY LIGHTS(INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR) FLICKERING (I HAVE NOTICED THIS PROBLEM AT NIGHT). THIS PROBLEM IS NOT BEING RESOLVED BY CHEVROLET. THIS PROBLEM HAS SOME POTENTIAL TO CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEMS IF THE EVENTS OCCUR DURING NIGHT TIME DRIVING. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT ACCESSORY FELL OFF MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THERE WAS NO PRIOR INDICATION THAT THE PIECE WAS LOOSE. THE PIECE, FORTUNATELY, REMAINED ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE WHILE SLAMMING AGAINST MY REAR WINDOW. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS VEHICLE IS NOT PROPERLY SECURING THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT PIECE AND ENDANGERING MY FAMILY AS WELL AS OTHER MOTORISTS. WHEN I TRIED TO RECTIFY WITH THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE SHOP, THEY CLAIMED THAT ICE CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM, CITING THAT THEY HAD SEEN THIS HAPPEN A COUPLE OF TIMES PRIOR, AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CORRECTING THE PROBLEM, CLAIMING THAT IT WAS DUE TO AN ACT OF NATURE AND PERHAPS I COULD FILE A CLAIM WITH MY AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE PROVIDER. *TR
LIGHTS DIM AND BRIGHTEN AT NIGHT WITH CORRESPONDING DROPS IN VOLTAGE ON MY WIFE'S 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT. LOOKS LIKE I AM DIMMING MY LIGHTS, HAVE NOTICED RESPONSES FROM OTHER MOTORISTS. SEVERAL TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ARE REPORTING THIS PROBLEM. *TR
SPEEDOMETER GIVES AN INACCURATE READING OR SOMETIMES STOPS WORKING ALTOGETHER. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN 2-3 WEEKS AGO AND FROM OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS THAT I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS WITH ONLINE IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS FUNCTIONING IMPROPERLY UNTIL IT BECAME VERY OBVIOUS - IT WAS REGISTERING 30 MPH WHEN I WAS TRAVELING WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC ON AN INTERSTATE FREEWAY. WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND SITS FOR A WHILE, THE SPEEDOMETER SEEMS TO RESET ITSELF AND WORKS PROPERLY AGAIN FOR A WHILE, THEN THE PROBLEM BEGINS AGAIN. FROM WHAT MY RESEARCH INDICATES, IT IS A BAD STEPPER MOTOR THAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM, WHICH REQUIRES SPECIALIZED TOOLS AND EXPERTISE TO REPLACE. THE COST IS IN THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN AUTOMOBILE CRASH IN MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. UPON IMPACT, THE CAR IGNITED UNDER THE HOOD AND FLAMES CAME UP ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WHILE MY FAMILY WAS STILL IN THE CAR. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO GET MY FAMILY OUT OF THE CAR BEFORE IT WAS TOTALLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND DESTROYED BY FIRE. I CONTACTED GM AND ASKED WHY MY CAR BURNED. I TOLD THEM I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY SINCE MEMBERS OF MY EXTENDED FAMILY OWN SIMILAR GM SUVS. I ANSWERED NUMEROUS QUESTIONS ON THE PHONE. I PROVIDED PICTURES OF MY CAR TOTALLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. GM ASSIGNED A CLAIM NUMBER TO MY REQUEST AND ENGAGED "ESIS GM" TO EVALUATE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS, I RECEIVED A SHORT LETTER SAYING " THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS THERE IS A PRODUCT DEFECT THAT CAUSED THE FIRE". IT FURTHER SAID, "IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL PROOFS SHOWING THERE WAS A PRODUCT DEFECT (S) THAT YOU WOULD LIKE GM TO LOOK AT, PLEASE SUBMIT THEM". THEY NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTION OF WHY THE CAR BURNED. I HAD SENT THEM PICTURES OF THE CAR ENGULFED IN FLAMES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. THEY JUST BASICALLY LEFT IT ME TO SHOW PROOF OF PRODUCT DEFECTS AND TELL THEM WHY THE CAR BURNED RATHER THAN ANSWERING MY QUESTION. IN FACT, THEIR RESPONSE SAYING THERE WERE NO KNOW DEFECTS WAS LIKE SAYING THE TRAILBLAZER IS DESIGNED TO IGNITE AND BURN UPON IMPACT. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND I HAVE ENCOUNTERED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE SENSORS REPLACED, FUEL TANK HAS HAD TO BE WORKED ON, AND NOW THE MAIN MOST COSTLY IS I AM HAVING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER PURCHASED WITH 19,000 MILES ON IT IN 2006. DECEMBER 07 WHILE DRIVING HOME AT NIGHT, LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLICKER. DEALER SAID WAS NECESSARY TO RESET COMPUTER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. AFTER COMPUTER RESET, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER (PULLED CODE FOR AIR CHECK VALVE), RESET THE LIGHT. TWO DAYS LATER, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALER WHERE IT PULLED ANOTHER CODE... AFTER THE THIRD TIME, THE DEALER CONTACTED GM AND WERE TOLD TO RESET THE COMPUTER BACK TO ORIGINAL SETTING AND EITHER THE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF AND THE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH OR THE LIGHT WOULD STAY ON AND THE LIGHTS WOULD STAY NORMAL. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WITHIN THREE DAYS, THE LIGHTS FLASHED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE CONTACTED GM SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT WARRANTY IT ONCE THEY DO FIGURE OUT THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM AND COULD NOT GIVE AN ESTIMATED DATE AS TO WHEN THAT WOULD BE! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AGAIN. I THINK A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT SHOULD BE STARTED!! *TR

I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH A DEFECTIVE SPEEDOMETER AND GAS GAUGE. IT STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY AROUND 40,000 MILES, SHORTLY AFTER THE WARRANTY RAN OUT. I HAVE READ SEVERAL HUNDRED COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. SINCE I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THE PROBLEM TO BE FIXED, I AM DRIVING "BLIND" ON A DAILY BASIS, HOPING THAT I AM NOT SPEEDING NOR TRAVELING TOO SLOW, THUS ADDING TO THE TRAFFIC PROBLEMS ON THE AZ HIGHWAYS. I HAVE HEARD OF MANY RECALLS ON OTHER AUTOS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS, BUT FOR SOME REASON THE TRAILBLAZER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL GAUGE AND ODOMETER DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

I OWN A 2005 TRAILBLAZER. ITS A GREAT VEHICLE BUT PROBLEM'S OF GREAT CONCERN HAVE RISEN. I WOULD LIKE TO PETITION TO HAVE CHEVROLET TO DISPLAY A CAMPAIGN FOR THE RECALL AND CORRECTION OF A FUEL GAGE PROBLEM WHICH MYSELF AND MANY,MANY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ARE HAVING. IT INVOLVES THE FUEL GAGE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY DISPLAYING EMPTY AND OR A VARIETY OF LEVELS OF THE FUEL TANK. THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS WHICH I HAVE FOUND ON THE INTERNET OF TRAILBLAZER OWNERS SHOULD WARRANT AN ACTION FROM CHEVROLET TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM WITH NO COSTS TO THE OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES. SHE THEN HAD TO BARROW SOMEONE'S CELL PHONE TO CALL ON-STAR TO UNLOCK THE DOORS. I DID NOT THINK MUCH ON IT AND THOUGHT SHE HAD DID SOMETHING TO TRIGGER THE ACTION. WELL ONE DAY I WAS IN THE SITTING TRUCK AND WAITING FOR MY WIFE. I HAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION,THE ENGINE NOT RUNNING AND THEN THE DOORS LOCKED BY THEMSELVES. I DID NOTHING TO TRIGGER THIS. I PURCHASED MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IN THE SPRING OF 2007. AROUND DECEMBER 2007 MY SPEEDOMETER STARTED HANGING UP. IT IS STILL DOING IT TODAY. THE WORST TIME FOR IT TO HAPPEN IS ON COLD DAYS. FUEL GAGE HAS FAILED AND DOES NOT WORK... FAILED AT 38000 MILES... PURCHASED CAR DECEMBER 2005 WITH 13,500 MILES FROM DEALER...CURRENT OWNERSHIP TWO YEARS... LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN TANK FILLED...GAGE WILL SOMETIMES VARY BETWEEN "E" AND 3/4 FULL... MOST OF THE TIME STAYING ON "E", ...ABSOLUTELY CANNOT TELL HOW MUCH GAS IS IN CAR FROM THE GAGE. MORE THAN ONE PERSON DRIVES THE CAR AND IT IS GOING TO LEAVE SOMEONE FROM MY FAMILY STRANDED ON THE ROAD AT SOME POINT. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINED AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD COST BETWEEN $350 AND $500 TO REPAIR, THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT HAS FAILED...THAT GAS TANK WOULD HAVE TO BE DROPPED TO REPLACE ... HOWEVER "JUST KEEP DRIVING THE CAR UNTIL THE FUEL PUMP FAILS AND REPLACE THE PUMP AND THE SENDING UNIT ASSEMBLY AT THAT TIME, SAVING THE EXTRA COST..."
