TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LIGHT TURNED ON INTERMITTENTLY WHICH CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED EVEN AFTER THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CONTACT HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 44,000.
I OWN A 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. 2 THOUSAND MILES AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED MY FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WENT OUT. I HAVE COME TO FIND THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM. *TR
GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK.. MY MOTHER HAS RAN OUT OF GAS SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS BECAUSE SHE HAS TO CALCULATE HER MILEAGE. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT SHE HAS RECEIPTS ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH MILES AND GALLONS WRITTEN ON THEM . MY COMPLAINT IS IF THIS IS A CHEVY PROBLEM WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY HALF TO GET IT FIXED? VEHICLE LIGHTS ALWAYS ON. CHECK ENGINE! GAS GAUGE PAID 600 DOLLARS TO FIX AND STILL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON DUE TO EMISSION PROBLEM. CAR HAS 50000 MILES AND IS A LEMON.. *TR
ON VACATION WITH MY FAMILY LAST SUMMER THE WINDOWS UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE STARTED TO GO UP AND DOWN ALL BY THEMSELVES. IT ALMOST CAUGHT MY SONS ARM INSIDE OF IT. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE WINDOWS STOPPED AND REMAINED DOWN. WE COULDN'T GET THEM TO GO BACK UP FOR A FEW HOURS AND HAD TO LEAVE THEM DOWN OVERNIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING MY HUSBAND WENT OUT, TURNED THE KEY, PUSHED THE BUTTONS AND THEY ALL WENT BACK UP. HE TOLD US NOT TO TOUCH THE WINDOWS JUST IN CASE WEREN'T ABLE TO GET THEM BACK UP. ONCE WE RETURNED FROM VACATION I TOOK IT TO A SUGGESTED MECHANIC AS PER MY WARRANTY COMPANY. THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS THE MASTER WINDOW SWITCH, THE GENTLEMEN TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE ABOUT 2-3 HUNDRED DOLLARS AND ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, IMAGINE THAT!WELL I PAID THE GENTLEMEN FOR HIS TIME AND HAVE BEEN WITHOUT WINDOWS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW BECAUSE I MAKE MY 500 PAYMENT EVERY MONTH AND DO NOT HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY NOT ONLY FOR THE PART BUT THEN FOR LABOR AND TO HAVE IT PROGRAMMED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. NOW I SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR TRAILBLAZER, ARE WE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE BEFORE WE ISSUE A RECALL? I SENT AN EMAIL TO GM ABOUT IT AND THEY DID CONTACT ME, WHAT THEY SAID IS TO ONCE AGAIN HAVE IT DIAGNOSED AT AN AUTHORIZED GM DEALER (OK MORE $) THEN THEY WOULD LOOK AT THE REPORT AND IF THEY OK IT I WOULD THEN BE REIMBURSED FOR EVERYTHING (OK GOOD ONE) I JUST HAD IT DIAGNOSED AND STILL HAVE THE REPORT BUT I NEED TO GET ANOTHER ONE, COME ON PEOPLE I DON'T MAKE YOUR SALARY AND HAVE 2 KIDS TO SUPPORT! . SO I TOOK IT, WELL WHEN I TALKED TO THE GM DEALER THEY SAID JUST TO LOOK AT IT WILL BE ABOUT 100 SO I CANCELLED THE APPOINTMENT. THAT IS VERY SAD THAT GM WOULD KNOWINGLY LET THIS GO ON WITH OUT OFFERING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM MOTORS VEHICLE IN MY LIFE, SAD TO SAY THAT I WILL BE BUYING NOT MADE IN THE USA VEHICLES FROM HERE ON OUT. *TR UPDATED 8/22/12 *CN
2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH 64,000 MILES. FUEL GAUGE WILL MOVE AROUND NO MATTER HOW MUCH GAS IN IT. COULD HAVE A FULL TANK & ONE MINUTE IT WILL READ FULL, NEXT MINUTE LOW FUEL LIGHT IS COMING ON. 3 TIMES NOW, MY TRAILBLAZER SHUT OFF GOING DOWN THE ROAD, WHICH MEANS NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. IT THINKS IT'S OUT OF FUEL, WHEN THERE IS FUEL IN IT. AFTER SITTING A FEW MINUTES ALONG SIDE THE ROAD, I START IT UP & I'M GOOD TO GO. I HAVE TO KEEP IT FILLED ALL THE TIME, BECAUSE THE GAUGE WILL NOT READ CORRECTLY. SOMETIME SITTING AT IDLE I'VE WATCHED IT GO TO EMPTY & BACK UP WHILE I'M JUST SITTING THERE. *TR
MY FUEL SENDER IS BLOWN. GAS GAUGE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND READS EMPTY. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZERS AND THERE IS NO RECALL BECAUSE WE HAVE TO CALL GM WITH THE ISSUES WE HAVE IN ORDER FOR THEM TO HAVE A RECALL. SO PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS A FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM IN YOUR TRAILBLAZER PLEASE CALL 1-866-790-5600 AND LETS GET THIS ROLLING AS A RECALL PEOPLE.. THE FAILURE IS THE FUEL GAUGE, I HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS THREE TIMES BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE WITH THIS AS OF YET, WILL COST $600 TO REPAIR, EVERYONE WITH THIS TYPE OF TRUCK HAS THIS ISSUE. *TR

I WAS TOLD AT A DEALERSHIP THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT WOULD COST ME $90 BEFORE THEY COULD FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT AND THEN OF COURSE IT WILL BE MORE MONEY SPENT. I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE IT FIXED AT THIS TIME. I KEEP TRACK OF MY MILEAGE BY USING ONE OF THE TRIP METERS WHICH TELLS WE HOW MANY MILES I HAVE DRIVEN AND FIGURE OUT HOW FAR I CAN GO BEFORE I NEED A FILL UP. I'D MUCH RATHER HAVE IT FIXED UNDER A RECALL!
I WAS AT THE GAS STATION FUELING MY TRAILBLAZER. AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE I GOT IN AND STARTED IT UP. THE FUEL HAND WENT TO THE TOP OF THE GAUGE, AS EXPECTED, AND THEN WENT ALL THE WAY TO E. IT HAS NOT FUNCTIONED SINCE. I HAVE TO USE MY TRIP MILEAGE METER TO GAUGE MILEAGE SO THAT I DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS ON THE INTERSTATE. OUR TRAILBLAZER IS OUR PRIMARY FAMILY VEHICLE AND IT IS DANGEROUS NOT TO KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ANY GIVEN TIME, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE HAVE OUR SMALL CHILD WITH US MOST OF THE TIME. *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY VEHICLE LOST 100% OF ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. NO HEADLIGHTS, WIPERS, RADIO, NOTHING. AFTER PULLING TO THE ROAD SIDE, TURNED IGNITION KEY TO OFF AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART VEHICLE. VEHICLE STARTED RIGHT BACK UP. FOLLOWING DAY SCANNED FOR FAULT CODES, NONE WERE FOUND. *TR
RAN OUT OF GAS BECAUSE THE GAS GAUGE HAD QUIT WORKING APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. THE AUTOMOBILE BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING PUMP QUITS WORKING. YOU MUST APPLY A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF FORCE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL JUST TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD AND YOU CAN'T TURN IT QUICKLY. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I READ ABOUT: GM RECALLING 1.4 MILLION VEHICLES FOR FIRE HAZARD BY PETER VALDES-DAPENA, SENIOR WRITERJUNE 9, 2010: 10:03 AM ET. WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON MAY 17, 2010, I HEARD A LOUD "POP" AND I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND CALLED AAA. APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES LATER, MY 3 YEAR OLD CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAD FLAMES START SHOOTING OUT OF THE HOOD. IT WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES SOON THEREAFTER. I THOUGHT IT WAS STEAM, SO IF A NJ FIREFIGHTER HAD NOT GRABBED ME OUT OF THE VEHICLE, I AM NOT QUITE SURE HOW THIS STORY WOULD HAVE ENDED... *TR
FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. RESULTED IN STALLED VEHICLE. GAUGE WOULD INTERMITTENTLY WORK. NOW IT NO LONGER REGISTERS ANY FUEL. *TR
THE FUEL SENSOR ON MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS FAILED. FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCING THE PROBLEM, THE SENSOR WOULD FUNCTION WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED. HOWEVER, THE DASHBOARD GAGE WOULD QUICKLY (LESS THAN 50 MILES) DROP TO "FUEL LEVEL LOW." FOR THE PAST 9 MONTHS, THE SENSOR HAS FAILED COMPLETELY AND THE FUEL GAGE ALWAYS DISPLAYS "FUEL LEVEL LOW." I RAN OUT OF GAS 3 TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY AS A RESULT OF THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. UNEXPECTEDLY RUNNING OUT OF FUEL AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MONITOR FUEL LEVELS PUTS OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IN A UNNECESSARY COMPROMISED SAFETY SITUATION. I NOW MONITOR THE LEVEL OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE TRIP ODOMETER GAGE. I KNOW THAT I HAVE TO REFUEL AT AROUND 300 MILES FROM FILL UP.
GAS GAUGE WOULD NOT WORK - DID NOT GIVE ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF HOW MUCH GAS WAS IN VEHICLE EVEN AFTER FILLING UP. GAS LIGHT WAS ON AND WOULD DING AS IF EMPTY. TOOK CAR INTO CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP & IT WAS A SENSOR IN THE GAS TANK. GAS TANK HAD TO BE "PULLED" AND SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. WOULD HAVE COST ME $800, BUT LUCKILY I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS SAME THING HAPPENING TO OTHERS WITH A 2007 TRAILBLAZER - IS THIS NOT A RECALL? *TR
FIRST OCCURRENCE, DRIVER WINDOW WOULD NOT GO DOWN EARLY SUMMER 2010. I BROUGHT IT INTO THE CHEVY I BOUGHT MY CAR FROM AND THE WINDOW PART WAS REPLACED. FROM TIME TO TIME I WOULD SMELL BURNING BUT I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS MY CAR, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME I WAS DRIVING SO I COULDN'T EXPLAIN IT TO CHEVY. I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT JANUARY 2012 AND HAD TO BRING IT TO A BODY REPAIR SHOP AND THY NOTICED THE DRIVER DOOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS MELTED. SINCE IT'S A 2007 MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AND I PAID THE BODY SHOP TO REPLACE THE PART $425. I CALLED CHEVY BECAUSE I SAW IN THE NEWS THAT THESE PARTS ARE BEING INVESTIGATED FOR CATCHING ON FIRE AND THEY SAID THAT THE NEXT TIME I SMELL BURNING OR MELTING I NEED TO BRING IT TO THEM RIGHT AWAY. *TR
AFTER FUELING OUR 2007 TRAILBLAZER, THE GAS GAUGE VERY SLOWLY STARTED TO INTERMITTENTLY GO TO EMPTY AND/OR 'DING' AND TURN ON THE LOW FUEL LIGHT. NOW, THE LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON AT ALL TIMES. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS THE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR AND WILL COST $500-$1000 TO FIX AND THAT MANY, MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
GAS GAUGE SENSOR ALARM SIGNALS GAUGE IS EMPTY WHEN TANK IS 3/4 FULL; HAVE NOT GOTTEN AN ANSWER AS TO WHETHER THE VEHICLE WILL BECOME DISABLED AND HAVE TO STOP TO JUST PUT IN A FEW GALLONS. THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR SIGNAL IS VERY DISTRACTING AND GOES OFF CONSTANTLY. REPAIR COST IS $400-$600 FOR THE SENSOR AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER VEHICLE OR EXTENDED VEHICLE WARRANTY. IT IS AN OBVIOUS MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD REQUIRE A RECALL. *TR

CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED. THE GAUGE STARTING ACTING ERRATICALLY AND NOW DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. IT IS NOW EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE CAR AT ANY GIVEN TIME. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO READ AS IF THE FUEL TANK WERE EMPTY. UPON REFUELING THE VEHICLE THE FUEL GAUGE OPERATED NORMALLY FOR APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES BEFORE READING AS IF THERE WAS NO FUEL IN THE TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE SENDING UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 36,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY GAS GAUGE USED TO JUMP ALL OVER AND NOW JUST READ EMPTY. IT IS TRIGGERING THE GAS LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS WITH MY 1 YEAR OLD PREGNANT ON A HWY BRIDGE WHERE MY SONS GRANDMOTHER HAD TO PUSH THE CAR WHILE A POLICE OFFICER FOLLOWED TO WARN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IT WAS A SCARY ORDEAL AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS FAILING IN A 3 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. *TR
I PURCHASED A USED 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 15K IN JUNE 2008 FORM BOB BELL CHEVROLET EASTERN AVE. BALTIMORE, MD. THIS VEHICLE WAS ADVERTISED AND ASSURED TO BE A GM CERTIFIED VEHICLE WHICH WAS RECONDITIONED AND 117 POINT INSPECTED UNDER GM CERTIFIED USED PROGRAM. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THIS VEHICLE UNDERWENT THIS INSPECTION AS THE DEALER REPRESENTED BECAUSE A WEEK AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I HAD BRAKE FAILURE AND TRACTION CONTROL MALFUNCTION THAT THE DEALER REPAIRED AND ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER PROBLEMS, ON TOP OF THAT, THE OIL WASN'T CHANGED OR AIR FILTER WHICH WAS AS BLACK AS THE STREET WHEN IT WAS CHANGED OUT. NOW A YEAR AND A HALF LATER, I'M HAVING NOISE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND WAS ADVISED THAT A NOISE I WAS HEARING IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN I WENT OVER A BUMP WAS MY STRUTS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SAME DEALER PURCHASED AND ADVISED MY VEHICLE WHICH IS NOW AT 47K IS OUT OF WARRANTY FOR THE REPAIRS NEEDED AND I WAS GOING TO NEED TO PAY ALMOST $2000. MY PROBLEM IS I HAVEN'T HAD THIS VEHICLE THAT LONG AND MY DAD OWNS THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLE WITH ZERO PROBLEMS, I HAVE NEVER HAD A VEHICLE WHICH WAS SUPPOSEDLY AS GOOD AS NEW WITH THESE ISSUES. THE DEALER HASN'T GOTTEN BACK TO ME AND I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE AVOIDING MY PROBLEM WHICH I BELIEVE WAS THEIR FAULT AND SHOULD BE FIXED BECAUSE THEY REPRESENTED THEMSELVES AND THIS VEHICLE TO ME AS SUCH AND THAT WAS UNDER THE CONDITION OF MY PURCHASE, CAN YOU OFFER ME ANY HELP OR ADVICE??? *TR

ANTISKID WARNING LIGHTS ALWAYS ON INDICATING AN ANTISKID MALFUNCTION. LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ALWAYS ON EVEN THOUGH TIRES ARE ADEQUATE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FOR A FEW DAYS/WEEKS AND TURNS OFF AGAIN. HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED AND THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG. FUEL GAUGE READS EMPTY EVEN WHEN FULL. ALL LIGHTS HAVE TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. TRIED TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, EVEN REMOVED THE KEY, BUT THE ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED AND THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE, TIRE PRESSURE, CHECK ENGINE, AND GAS SYMBOLS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR WOULD PROVIDE AN INACCURATE READING OF EMPTY WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED. BOTH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS AT HER EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO ADVISED HER TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 32,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000. UPDATED 07/21/11 *BF UPDATED 07/29/11

THE CONTACT STATED THE FUEL TANK SENDER WAS NOT SENDING THE CORRECT LEVEL OF FUEL AND HE WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL WAS ACTUALLY IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RELATED RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,272.
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAILS IN SUCH A WAY AS TO INDICATE THE CAR HAS FUEL WHEN IT DOES NOT. THIS COULD RESULT IN A BREAKDOWN ON A BUSY HIGHWAY LEADING TO A CRASH WITH INJURY OR LOSS OF LIFE.
WHILE DRIVING ON 96 FREEWAY, MY SUV SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. EVER SINCE THEN IT CONTINUED TO SHUT OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. HAD THE IGNITION SWITCH REPLACE AND WOULD LIKE TO BE REFUNDED FOR THE REPAIRS. I JUST SEEN ON THE FOX NEWS THAT GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING VEHICLES OF MY YEAR THAT'S WHY I'M REPORTING. *TR
I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR. THE TRANSMISSION MESSED UP ORIGINALLY AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY GAS GAUGE INDICATOR. THIS RECENT PROBLEM STARTED LAST YEAR 2010. THE LEVELS WERE READING INACCURATELY AT THAT TIME AND SEEMED TO HAVE REPAIRED ITSELF. THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR, THE INDICATORS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN MY TRUCK AND I AM PARANOID AND CONSTANTLY GOING TO THE STORE TO ADD MORE GAS. I AM UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE MAJORITY OF CHEVY VEHICLES AND GM ACTUALLY KNOWS THAT THE PROBLEM EXIST AND HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP THE MILLIONS OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS THAT PURCHASED THESE CARS. THERE IS NO REASON THAT THIS ALL SHOULD BE HAPPENING TO MY VEHICLE THAT I PURCHASED BRAND NEW; SO I AM THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY OWNER. IS THERE ANY HELP FOR THE CONSUMERS THAT HAVE PURCHASED GM VEHICLES. I COULD SEE IF THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH ONE LINE OF VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BY GM BUT THIS PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE ALL ACROSS THE BOARD. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS NUMEROUS OF TIMES BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE THAT GM CAN SCAM MILLIONS OF CUSTOMERS AND NOT FIX A KNOWN PROBLEM. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND BABY IT LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW. NOW EVERYTHING IS BREAKING. FIRST IT WAS THE RACKING PINION STEERING. SOME HOW THE SEAL BUSTED. SECOND, THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO REGISTER EMPTY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FULL AND JOINT BALL WENT BAD MAKING SOME VIBRATION AND SQUEALING SOUND. I GOT THE FUEL GAUGE FIXED AND JOINT BALL, NOW THE STRUTS THAT LIFT REAR WINDOW DOESN'T WORK. I WAS SO EAGER TO GET THIS TRAILBLAZER BUT IT IS COSTING ME MORE MONEY THAN WHAT IT IS WORTH. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE ON MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BEGAN REGISTERING ERRATICALLY IN 2010. APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS LATER, IT COMPLETELY QUIT WORKING. THE CAR STALLED AND DIED AS I WAS CROSSING 2 LANES OF TRAFFIC FROM A DRIVEWAY. AS IT WAS NOT UNDER A MANUFACTURER WARRANTY, CHEVY HAS NOW AGREED TO PAY 50% OF THE COST OF REPAIR DUE TO PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION. HOWEVER, THE SCOPE OF THE PROBLEM IS PROBABLY GREATER THAN HAS BEEN REPORTED AS A COWORKER ALSO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS 2005 GMC ENVOY. HE HAS SINCE REPLACED THE VEHICLE DUE TO ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. MY FATHER-IN-LAW HAS ALSO REPLACED HIS 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THAT ALSO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND COST $800 TO REPAIR. THIS REPAIR SHOULD NOT BE A VOLUNTARY 50% COST TO GMC BUT RATHER A RECALL. *TR
FILLED MY TANK AND DROVE AWAY THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING LATER THAT DAY MY FUEL GAUGE STARTED GOING DOWN WHILE DRIVING. IT WENT TO EMPTY THE LOW GAS INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND IT STAYED THAT WAY FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE RETURNING TO FULL. THIS ONLY HAPPENED 1X SO FAR RECENTLY. I'VE ALSO HAD PROBLEM WITH ALL THE GAUGES GOING OUT WHILE DRIVING. SPEEDOMETER/FUEL/ ELECTRICAL/TACH ETC. HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART TO RESET THESE FUNCTIONS IN THE PAST. 2-3X AN HAD ONSTAR RUN DIAGNOSTICS. THE ELECTRIC STABILITY CONTROL HAS ALSO BEEN COMING ON/OFF INTERMITTENTLY QUITE FREQUENTLY AT STARTUP AND AT OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING. I'VE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON CHAT BOARDS BUT FEW HAVE TAKE THE STEPS TO DOCUMENT THEM BEYOND THE POSTINGS. THERE ARE MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB. THANK YOU *TR

AT 36,101 MILES I WENT TO THE GAS STATION AND FILLED UP. STARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE GAS GAUGE READ EMPTY. I SPOKE WITH GAS ATTENDANT AND HE SAID THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZERS. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THE GAUGE WILL READ HALF FULL AND BE EMPTY. MULTI CHEVROLET IN UNION NJ. TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THE WARRANTY WAS UP AT 36,000 MILES AND IT WOULD COST 800.00 DOLLARS. IF IT IS COMMON IT IS A DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS, THE GAS GAUGE AT 52,000 MILES BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE FROM E TO F. THIS DOES NOT GIVE AN ACCURATE READING. I UNDERSTAND THIS MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A PRESSING SAFETY ISSUE BUT IT CAN LEAD TO STRANDED MOTORIST WHICH CAN BE SAFETY RELATED. IT NOW OCCURS EVERY DAY. I HAVE NOT REPAIRED THE PART YET BUT READING VARIOUS FORUMS ONLINE STATE IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE THAT RANGES FROM A 600.00 TO 800.00 PROCEDURE. I ALSO LOOKED AT THE COMPLAINT RESULTS IN THE LAST 3 YEARS ON THIS YEAR MODEL ALONE VEHICLE AND THE NTSA HAS RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS. I AM POSITIVE IF YOU RESEARCHED EVERY YEAR MODEL OF THE TRAILBLAZER YOU WILL FIND A TREND. PLEASE DO THE JOB OF THE GOVERNMENT AND MAKE SURE GENERAL MOTORS RECTIFIES THE SITUATION.

IT WOULD SHOW EMPTY WHEN I HAD JUST FILLED IT UP FULL. NOW MY GAS GAUGE ALWAYS SHOWS EMPTY AND THIS IN TURN ALSO MAKES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON ALL THE TIME. I HAVE TO FILL UP EVERY 300 MILES JUST TO MAKE SURE I DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS. WHEN I TALKED TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL SENSOR IN THE TANK BUT GM HADN'T RECALLED IT. I SEARCHED ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND FOUND THIS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH MY YEAR TRAILBLAZER. MANY OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE NOT REPAIRED IT BECAUSE IT WAS OVER $700. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IF THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH 2005-2007 TRAILBLAZERS THAT GM WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I KNOW THERE ARE FAR MORE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVEN'T COMPLAINED. *TR

SHE ADDED FUEL TO THE VEHICLE AND UPON STARTING IT, SHE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE WARNING PANEL. THE DEALER STATED THE FUEL SENDING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WILL BE REPAIRED. FUEL GAUGE FALLS TO EMPTY FEWER THAN 100 MILES AFTER FILLING THE TANK. THE TANK IS 22 GALLONS AND THE FUEL ECONOMY IS 17.8 MPG. I RESET THE TRIP METER SO I CAN FUEL UP WITHIN 300 MILES, JUST TO BE SAFE. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE QUICKLY DROPS TO EMPTY AFTER LESS THAN 1/4 OF THE FUEL HAS BEEN USED. THE DEALER STATES THAT THE FUEL SENDER UNIT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED COSTING $575.00. WITH ONLY 43K MILES ON THE CAR, IT SEEMS A LITTLE PREMATURE FOR THIS TYPE OF REPAIR. *TR
MY FUEL GAUGE HAS QUIT WORKING. IT STARTED OUT AS A SPORADIC PROBLEM, NEVER SHOWING THE CORRECT FUEL LEVEL. NOW, IT HAS QUIT WORKING COMPLETELY. *TR
2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING AND CONSTANTLY READ "EMPTY." THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION AND THIS PUT ME AT RISK BOTH ME AND MY FAMILY. NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE POTENTIALLY PUT ME AT RISK IF I RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR WHILE ON A TRIP. IN THE EXTREME HEAT IT WOULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO HAVE TO WALK TO GET GAS. THE RISK OF BEING STRANDED AWAY FROM HOME OR ON A HIGHWAY PUT MY LIFE IN DANGER. THE FAILURE OF THE GAS GAUGE AND FUEL DETECTION UNIT OCCURRED IN JANUARY OF 2010, WHICH I COULDN'T AFFORD TO GET FIXED UNTIL RECENTLY, FEB. 2011. TO FIX THE PROBLEM COST ME A MORTGAGE PAYMENT, AND PUT ME BEHIND ONE MONTH. THE FACT THAT THIS IS A KNOWN AND COMMON ISSUE FOR THESE VEHICLES MAKES IT APPARENT THAT THE FUEL DETECTION SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE AND FIXING IT SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF CHEVROLET. IT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF CHEVY TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THE UNIT TO MAINTAIN CONSUMER LOYALTY TO THE CHEVY BRAND. IN THE EVENT I DON'T GET REIMBURSED, I SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER CHEVY OR GM VEHICLES. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I'LL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THIS, AND DO WHAT I CAN TO SWAY THEM NOT TO BUY A TRAILBLAZER DUE TO THIS DEFECT AND THE FACT THAT CHEVROLET WON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. *KB
AFTER MOVING HALFWAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY, I NOTICED THAT MY FUEL GAUGE WOULD SAY IT WAS FULL FOR WAY TOO LONG, THEN AT ABOUT 3/4 TANK, DROP BASICALLY TO EMPTY. AFTER ABOUT 3 MONTHS, THE GAUGE BEGAN TO NEVER REPORT THAT IT HAD ANYTHING IN IT. TO THIS DAY, IT NEVER READS ANYTHING OTHER THAN EMPTY, WITH THE WARNING LIGHT ON AND THE INITIAL WARNING ON THE DASH STATING THAT THE FUEL IS LOW. NO CHANGES TO THE CAR'S NORMAL USAGE WERE MADE. THE FAILURE HAS NEVER CORRECTED. I HAVE NOT HAD THE FUEL GAUGE REPAIRED OR REPLACED BECAUSE IT IS A COSTLY FIX, AND I CAN DO THE MATH TO KNOW WHEN I NEED TO FILL UP BASED ON MILEAGE. *TR
