BOUGHT BRAND NEW CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FROM GM AND NOTICED MIDDLE TREAD WEAR ON ALL 4 TIRES AROUND 13K, TOOK VEHICLE IN AT 25K SINCE TREAD WAS BELOW 2/32 WHILE OUTER TREAD FINE AT 5/32 ON ALL 4 TIRES. EVEN HAD TIRES ROTATED BY DEALER WHEN WEAR NOTICED AROUND 13K. GM WOULD NOT COVER TIRES AND WAS NOT NOTIFIED TO CONTACT TIRE MANUF. CONTACTED TIRE MANUF (CONTINENTAL) AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANYTHING SINCE I HAD DIFFERENT TIRES PUT ON BY THE DEALERSHIP NOW. HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM ONSTAR SHOWING PROPER INFLATION EVERY MONTH THAT VEHICLE HAS BEEN OWNED. NO ONE WILL COVER COST OR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR BAD TIRES. *TR
2007 TRAIL BLAZER. WHEN CRUISING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE FRONT END STARTS TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND WILL CONINUE UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS BROUGHT TO A STOP. THEN IT WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN FOR AS MANY AS SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THERE WAS A LOW POWER RESPONSE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. IMMEDIATELY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE TRACTION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REMAINED LIT UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE THROTTLE BODY FREEZING. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED AGAIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,950. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED AND AFTER FILLING THE TANK, THE GAUGE READ EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER AND THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS INTERFERING WITH THE ODOMETER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.
VEHICLE IS A 2007 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER, PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2007. OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS, THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER SWITCHES ON THE DOOR WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON FRIDAY EVENING AT AROUND 6:30 PM AND WHEN CAR WAS ENTERED ON SATURDAY MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30 AM, THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WAS ON FIRE AND BLACK SMOKE WAS BILLOWING OUT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND DISABLED THE VEHICLE SO THERE WOULD BE NO ADDITIONAL DAMAGE. THEY STATED THAT IT LOOKED LIKE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE DOOR PANEL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT INDICATE THE ACCURATE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE TANK. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE THE GAUGE DID NOT SHOW THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WAS REPLACED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 82,169. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000.
I HAVE A PROBLEM WHERE THE THROTTLE HANGS UP AROUND 2000 RPM IN ALL GEARS AFTER BEING ON THE THROTTLE AND THEN IMMEDIATELY NEEDING TO SLOW DOWN FOR ANY REASON. THIS IS A TRAILBLAZER SUPER SPORT EQUIPPED WITH THE 395 HP 400 FT LB ENGINE. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER. I HAVE SUED GM FOR THIS BEING A LEMON AND WAS PAID OFF. YET NO FIX. I HAVE VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING. OTHER OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND GM SAYS BECAUSE OTHERS DO IT THE VEHICLE IS ACTING AS DESIGNED. PER GEORGE VALEZ GM LEGAL OFFICE . GM SERVICE REQUEST # 71-661522934 "HIGH IDLE" I HAVE LOGS WHERE THE ACCELERATION TAKES PLACE FROM 9 MPH TO 11 MPH FOR 11 SECONDS OF A TBSS WILD RIDE WITH NO THROTTLE. I START BY DOWNSHIFTING IT IN MANUAL 1ST WHILE SLOWING DOWN. (BRAKES REQUIRED TO SLOW FROM 2K HANG UP RPM ON DOWN.) WHEN THE ENGINE IS SLOWING DOWN THERE IS A BUMP AT ~2000 RPM WHERE THE ENGINE SPEED RAISES ABOVE THE INPUT SHAFT SPEED OF THE TRANSMISSION. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS TURNING SLOWER AND COMPRESSION BRAKING. TIME HERE IS 0 OF THE 11 SECONDS. I HIT THE BRAKES AT 14 MPH TO PULL THE SPEED DOWN FROM 2K RPM AND LET OFF AT 9MPH 3 SECONDS LATER. STARTING AT 1381 RPM FOR THE LOWEST ENGINE RPM, TRANS INPUT SHAFT 50 RPM SLOWER THEN THE ENGINE INDICATING ACCELERATION. AC CLUTCH JUST HAPPENS TO KICK IN HERE. "HERE WE GO!" I SAY. THE NEXT 8 SECONDS WE HAVE THE ENGINE HITS 1650 RPM AND HUNTS AROUND THIS RPM +- 75 RPM WHILE WE HIT 11 MPH. AT 8.4 SECONDS THE ENGINE CUTS BACK TO 1468 RPM. THIS IS WHEN THE TRANS INPUT SPEED IS FASTER THAN THE ENGINE RPM BY AROUND 50 - 70 RPM, THIS INDICATES ENGINE FINALLY SLOWING THE VEHICLE AGAIN. IT ONLY TAKES 5 SECONDS FROM THIS POINT TO SLOW DOWN FROM 11 MPH TO 5MPH WITHOUT ANY BRAKES. THAT IS WHAT IS SCARY - 16 SECONDS OF FIGHTING THE ENGINE WHEN IT COULD HAVE STAYED CUT OUT AND SLOWED DOWN IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS FROM 2K RPM. THE AC IN THIS EXAMPLE MAKES THE PROBLEM WORSE, BUT ISN'T 100% OF THE PROBLEM. *TR UPDATED IVOQ/ 09/10/09
HAD THE REAR HATCH OPEN TO LOAD LUGGAGE, CLOSED THE HATCH AND THE REAR HATCH WINDOW SHATTERED. DOUBLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE NOTHING CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE GLASS. INSURANCE CLAIM FILED, CONTACTED CHEVROLET WITH A SERVICE REQUEST # 71-626176152. NO ACTION BY CHEVROLET. *TR
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT GOING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND HIT A TRUCK THAT TURNED IN FRONT OF ME. MY AIR BAGS DID NOT GO OFF. *TR
THIS TRAILBLAZER WAS PURCHASED AS A DEMO FROM A LOCAL MD DEALER. AROUND 36000 MILES I NOTICED WAS FUEL GAUGE WAS CONTINUALLY MOVING, IT WOULD GO FROM A FULL TANK TO EMPTY, FOR NO REASON. THAT PROBLEM LASTED ABOUT 2 WEEKS, FROM THEN ON MY FUEL GAUGE DID NOT WORK AT ALL, THE GAUGE SITS ON EMPTY, REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. ALSO THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR RINGS CONSTANTLY A RANDOM TIMES. ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY QUOTED A PRICE OF APPROX $600.00 TO FIX. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM, APPARENTLY IT IS A VERY COMMON ONE. *TR
EXCESSIVE CORROSION AND WARPING OFF ALL 4 BRAKE ROTORS STARTING AT 3,700MI THEN AT 7,560 MI DEALER "MACHINED" ALL 4 BRAKE . *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN JAN.08 AND MY TRAILBLAZER DIED. I GOT IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT STARTED UP. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED THE PCM. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN FEB.08, VEHICLE PUT ITSELF IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND DIED. ROADS WERE DRY. TOOK IT IN TO DEALERSHIP, THEY UPDATED CALIBRATIONS FOR TRANSFER CASE. ON JUNE 18, I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND VEHICLE DIED. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, THEY HAD VEHICLE FOR 42 DAYS. UNABLE TO FIX. THEY PUT A READER ON IT AND SAID I NEED TO DRIVE IT UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN. I CALLED GM THEY SAID I NEED TO KEEP DRIVING IT. I GOT THE VEHICLE BACK ON JULY 29. DROVE IT THAT NIGHT. VEHICLE PUT ITSELF IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AGAIN. TOOK IT BACK ON JULY 30. DEALERSHIP REPLACED ACTUATOR. THEY TOLD ME THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VEHICLE DYING AND TOLD ME TO KEEP DRIVING. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT OR OUR MONEY BACK. I AM SO SCARED MY FAMILY IS GOING TO BE INJURED OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT OR SOMEONE IN FRONT OR BEHIND ME. IT GIVES YOU NO WARNING BEFORE IT DIES AND IT IS HARD TO CONTROL. *TR
I LEASED A 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ON MAY 31ST 2007 AT WALLY EDGAR DEALERSHIP. WHEN THE WEATHER STARTED TURNING BELOW 50DEGREES THE BRAKES STARTED TO FAIL. WE TOOK IT INTO WALLY EDGAR DEALERSHIP IN JANUARY 2008. ALL THEY DID WAS BLEED THE BRAKES. WITHIN 2 MONTHS THE BRAKES WERE BACK TO FAILING. I TOOK IT IN TO LUNGHUMER DEALERSHIP IN APRIL 2008, THIS TIME THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. THAT WORKED FOR AWHILE.. WELL WITHIN A MONTH I WAS BACK AT WALLY EDGAR DROPPING IT OFF BECAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD EXCEEDED THE LAST TWO TIMES IT WAS WITHIN 1/2 INCH OF THE FLOOR. THIS TIME THEY BLEED THE BRAKES AND CLAIMED THE PROBLEM WAS AN AIR BUBBLE IN A CALIPER. WELL EVERYTHING WAS GOING OKAY UNTIL THE FIRST REAL COLD OF THE YEAR. MY BRAKES WERE DOWN TO THE FLOOR LITERALLY. I WAS UNSURE IF THEY WERE GOING TO STOP ME. THIS TIME THEY DID THEIR JOB AT WALLY EDGAR AND REPLACED A MODULAR SENSOR. THE BRAKES SEEMED TO BE WORKING GOOD. THAT WAS JANUARY 14, 2009. WITHIN A WEEK THE 4WD SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. THE TRANSFERCASE SWITCH WAS REPLACED. JANUARY 22, 2009. THEN ON JANUARY 30TH MY SERVICE BRAKE LIGHT AND STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME ON. SINCE THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG THEY DECIDED TO REPLACE THE CALIPERS, MASTER CYLINDER, AND ELECTRIC BRAKE MODULE. AND I AM SUPPOSE TO FEEL SAFE IN THIS HEAP OF JUNK. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 360. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR, THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THAT THE MONITOR WAS RESET AND REPAIRED. ON TWO OCCASIONS, A DEALER ATTEMPTED TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT INDICATED THE INCORRECT RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE. THE RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE IS 32 PSI, BUT THE MONITOR READ 37 PSI. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 850. USUALLY WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 55MPH - 60 MPH AFTER APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES THE STEERING WHEEL AND WHOLE FRONT END START SHAKING REALLY BAD. IT WILL LAST UNTIL YOU STOP AND THEN IT WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN FOR 3 OR 4 DAYS AND THEN IT WILL DO IT AGAIN. IF YOU TRY TO BRAKE DURING THIS OCCURRENCES THE WHOLE VEHICLE SHAKES EVEN WORSE. BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER (2) TWICE THEY COULD NOT VERIFY PROBLEM. *TR
TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AFTER DRIVING IT FOR ONLY 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE. VEHICLE. HAD 15 MILES AT PURCHASE; TOWED IN WITH 95 MILES. VEHICLE HAD NO POWER IN REVERSE NOR DRIVE. GM ONLY OFFERED TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE TRANS. WOULD NOT REPLACE VEHICLE OR GIVE MONEY BACK. THEY PLACED A REBUILT. TRANS IN A NEW CAR AND SINCE THEN THE VEHICLE. HAS BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS. DOES NOT ACCELERATE AS PRIOR TO FIX; HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING FEELING LIKE IT'S READY TO STALL. GAS PEDAL STICKS AT TIMES; GIVING VEHICLE. GAS WHEN I'M NOT PRESSING ON THE PEDAL. THESE ARE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES. THE SELLING DEALER SERVICE DEPT TOOK ONE DAY AND 8 MILE TEST DRIVE TO SAY THEY COULDN'T FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. WILLING TO LEAVE VEHICLE. FOR 3 DAYS, DEALER WOULD NOT WRITE IT UP. *CN
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 10-15 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE. AS A RESULT, HE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER; THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES AFTER THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE THE CONTACT STATED THAT MULTIPLE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL CYLINDER, IGNITION COIL, AND A DEFECTIVE HEAD CYLINDER CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER MADE THE REPAIRS HOWEVER APPROXIMATELY 24 HOURS LATER THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THEY STATED THAT THE ENGINE WAS LOW ON COOLANT AND THEY STATED THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE BURPED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,994.
A VEHICLE PULLED DIRECTLY ACROSS MY PATH WHILE I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, RESULTING IN A T-BONE COLLISION. MY VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. SOMEHOW, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 360. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE MANY FAILURES WITH HIS VEHICLE AND THE DEALER DOES NOT WANT TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED WITH 83 MILES. FIRSTLY, THE BUMPER IS WAVY RATHER THAN HORIZONTAL. HE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, HOWEVER, THE NEW BUMPER CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO VEER TO THE SIDE. SECONDLY, AFTER THE TIRES WERE ROTATED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN SHAKING BADLY. THIRDLY, THE ONSTAR SYSTEM BEGAN MAKING NOISE AND WOULD NOT DEACTIVATE. FINALLY, THE RUBBER SEAL ON THE WINDSHIELD BEGAN SEPARATING AND WAS REPLACED. THE DEALER REFUSES TO TAKE THE CONTACT SERIOUSLY. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 17,828.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 360. THE CONTACT NOTICED RUST AND CORROSION ON THE BLOCK THAT HOLDS THE REAR BRAKE LINE. THE VEHICLE DID NOT MAKE ANY NOTICEABLE NOISES WHILE DRIVING AT VARIABLE SPEEDS. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT BEING RECALLED AND WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED WITHOUT CHARGE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150. UPDATED 09/18/07 *TR
WHILE ACCELERATING ONTO A MAJOR ROADWAY, MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST POWER. AS THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 55MPH, I HAD TO CROSS MY FINGER AND PICK A SPOT TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY AND HOPE THAT IT HAD ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO DO SO. MY VEHICLE IS STILL IN THE SHOP HOWEVER ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE FROM THE INTERNET FINDS THAT THE 4L60 AND 4L70 ARE RIFE WITH FAILURES THAT RESULT IN COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAULTY PART SEEMS TO BE THE "SUN SHELL" AND HAS FAULTS ACROSS THE GM LINEUP. I'M VERY SURPRISED THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FORCED TO RECALL THIS DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. *TR
TRAVELING ON A CITY STREET AT ABOUT 40 MPH AND THE TRAILBLAZER GOT TOO CLOSE TO THE CURB. THE FRONT TIRE ROLLED UP ON THE 3-4 INCH CURB AND BACK ONTO THE STREET. THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE SUV. THE CURB WAS NOT THAT HIGH AND IT WAS NOT A SUFFICIENT MOTION TO CREATE A SIDE SHOCK TO CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED AT A COST OF OVER $3,000. MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAID THE CLAIM AND I PAID A $1,000 DEDUCTIBLE AND GOT AN ACCIDENT PREMIUM ON MY INSURANCE POLICY. THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SENSOR WAS TOO SENSITIVE OR DEFECTIVE TO CAUSE DEPLOYMENT UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. *TR

THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO BLINKS. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH MULTIPLE ISSUES. CUSTOMER STATES THAT HER VEHICLE HAS BRAKE PROBLEMS, FRONT END VIBRATION PROBLEMS, TIRE WEAR, AND EXCESSIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION. *KB THE BRAKES MADE A SQUEALING AND DRAGGING NOISE WHEN COMING TO A STOP. IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE LIFTGATE, THE ENGINE WOULD MISFIRE/STALL WHILE IN IDLE, THERE WAS A SMELL OF OIL BURNING, THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO GAIN SPEED, THERE WAS EXTREME NOISE COMING FROM ALL OF THE DOORS AND WINDOWS. THE SETTINGS FOR THE SIDE MIRRORS DID NOT KEEP THEIR MEMORY. THE REAR HATCH WOULD OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A VIBRATION COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE.
MY 2007 TRAILBLAZER LOST POWER DURING ACCELERATION. ON JANUARY 22 I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND IT TOOK THEM 4 DAYS FOR THE VEHICLE TO ACT UP SO THEY COULD GET A CODE. THEY REPLACED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. ON MARCH 3, 2010 IT HAPPENED AGAIN, THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, WHILE MY WIFE WAS CROSSING A STREET. THE RPMS WENT FROM 2000 OR SO DOWN TO 5-600 WHILE PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED IN TO DEALER AND GOT A LOANER CAR UNDER TERMS OF MY WARRANTY. IT IS NOW DAY 6 AND THEY CANNOT GET IT TO ACT UP AGAIN. I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND GOT A CASE # 71-810026931, BUT I AM BEING TOLD BEFORE THEY SEND A TECHNICIAN THAT CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM I MUST TAKE IT TO A SECOND DEALERSHIP AT MY COST AS WELL AS PAYING FOR TOWING AND LONER CAR FOR THE FIRST DEALERSHIP TO RELEASE THE TRUCK. THEY TOLD ME TO DRIVE IT UNTIL IT MESSES UP THEN GOTO THE DEALER TO GET CODE. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS WHAT HAPPENS TO MY FAMILY IF IT ACTS UP IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN WITH TRAFFIC COMING. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM THAT THE COMPUTER ISN'T RECOGNIZING. AND BECAUSE OF THAT MY FAMILY HAS TO BE THE GUINEA PIGS BEFORE GM WILL SEND A TECHNICIAN TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. MY LOCAL MECHANIC SEEN THE PROBLEM, THE DEALERSHIP SEEN THE PROBLEM AND THOUGHT THEY FIXED IT. WHAT THEY DID WAS PUT A BANDAID ON A CUT THAT REQUIRES STITCHES. I HAVE TO PUT MY FAMILY IN JEOPARDY AND THAT OF WHOEVER HITS ME SO GM CAN SAVE MONEY AND NOT SEND THE TECHNICIAN. THE SAME PROBLEM IN JUST OVER A MONTH, FROM LOSING POWER TO THE DEALERSHIP HAVING PROBLEMS DIAGNOSING IT SHOULD SEND UP A RED FLAG THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG AND LIVES ARE IN DANGER. BUT THAT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE THE CONCERN EXCEPT FROM ME. SO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A TRUCK THAT IM AFRAID TO DRIVE SO GM DOESN'T LOSE MONEY SENDING OUT A TECHNICIAN WHEN THEY SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT A PROBLEM WITH A TRUCK THAT COULD COST SOMEONE THEIR LIFE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. WE BOUGHT IT WITH 13 MILES ON IT WHEN THE FIRST FULL TANK OF GAS WAS GONE WE ONLY PUT ON 235 MILES TO THE TANK. THAT WASN'T EVEN A WEEK. WE HAVE HAD 2 TIRES REPLACED BECAUSE OF EXCESS WEAR WITH ONLY 6,000 MILES ON IT. NOW WE ARE WORKING ON THE 2 OTHER TIRES GETTING REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE SAME THING. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME TO COME OUT. WE HEAR A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE AND AT THE SAME TIME WE FEEL IT IN THE PEDALS. THE SEALS ON THE WINDOWS ARE COMING OFF. THERE IS NO DRIVERS SIDE COVER ON THE MIRROR ON THE SUN SHADE. THERE IS NO DOOR AJAR DING OR LIGHT THAT WILL COME ON WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR ONLY JUST FOR THE HATCH. I HAVE HAD MY TRAILBLAZER IN FOR SERVICE 3 TIMES IN 1 YEAR FOR ALL THE SAME THINGS AND EVERYTIME THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT EXCEPT FOR THE TIRES. WITH THE GAS MILEAGE MY DEALERSHIP SAID I HAVE TO WAIT 10,000 MILES BEFORE I GET A BETTER AVERAGE ON THE MILES PER GALLON. WELL IT IS ACTUALLY I AM GETTING LESS AND LESS MILES PER GALLON THAN I DID A YEAR AGO. THE TRAILBLAZER IS VERY SLOW AT PICKING UP SPEED. IT HESITATES AT THE START OF PICK UP SPEED LIKE THE TRUCK JUST STALLED. I FEEL IT IN THE PEDAL. THE BRAKES HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN IT COMES TO STOPPING ITS LIKE THE BRAKES DON'T WANT TO STOP THE TRUCK. THESE PROBLEMS ARE MAKING ME VERY UPSET. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO 2 DEALERSHIPS AND BOTH TIMES THEY SAY OH THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK. I NEED THESE PROBLEMS FIXED. GENERAL SAFETY COMPLAINT ABOUT SEVERAL MAKES OF VEHICLES. MANY VEHICLES USE THEIR HEADLIGHTS AS RUNNING LIGHTS AND THEY COME ON AUTOMATICALLY. DRIVERS, IN SEEING THEIR HEADLIGHTS ON, DO NOT REALIZE THAT THEIR TAILLIGHTS ARE NOT ON AND DRIVE WITH NO TAILLIGHTS. I FIRST NOTICED THIS IN A DRIVING RAINSTORM WHEN I SUDDENLY CAME UP ON A CAR WITH NO TAILLIGHTS. THROUGH THE SPRAY THAT HE WAS KICKING UP AND THE DRIVING RAIN, IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE HIM. THIS ALERTED ME TO THE FACT AND I STARTED LOOKING. APPROXIMATELY 25% OF THE NEWER VEHICLES HAD HEADLIGHTS ON BUT NO TAILLIGHTS. I RECENTLY RENTED A CHEVROLET BLAZER . I LEFT MY HOTEL IN THE DARK WITH MY HEADLIGHTS ON. IT WASN'T UNTIL I GOT TO MY DESTINATION AND WENT TO TURN OFF MY HEADLIGHTS THAT I DISCOVERED I HAD NOT TURNED THEM ON. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT HEADLIGHTS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BE OPERATED WITHOUT TAILLIGHTS BEING ON . *NM
(1) PURCHASED A NEW 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER ON NOV. 30,2006. LESS THAT 1200 MILES ON IT BEFORE WIFE TOOK IT ON THE INTERSTATE. (2) TWO LIGHT CAME ON CONTROL PANEL AND THE VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL. SHE HAD EXTREME DIFFICULTY REGAINING CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND BRAKING. AFTER TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE AND THE LIGHTS WENT OFF. ON HER RETURN TRIP HOME IT AGAIN DID THE SAME THING, HOWEVER, SHE ONLY DROVE ABOUT 40 MPH UNTIL SHE COULD GET HOME. (3)VEHICLE TAKEN TO CHEVROLET SERVICE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THERE IS TWO FAULTY CIRCUITS. CODES IN SYSTEM C0455, OPEN SENSOR AND SHORTED EBTCM DIAGNOSE. I DECLINED REPAIR UNTIL I COULD SPEAK WITH GN. (4) SPOKE WITH SAMANTHA SHEARED 1-866-790-5700 EXT.20836 WHO ADVISED TO GET IT FIXED AND NOTHING MORE CAN BE DONE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I AM SURE THAT OURS IS NOT THE ONLY VEHICLE WITH THESE FAULTY PARTS. MY WIFE IS TOO SCARED OF THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE IT AGAIN, EVEN IF REPAIRED. I OWN A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. THE VEHICLE IN NO WAY GET THE MILEAGE IT IS SUPPOSED TO. THE WINDSHIELD STATES 14 MPG IN CITY/HIGHWAY BUT IN NO WAY HAVE I EVER GOTTEN THIS. THE DEALER CHECKED IT OVER AND SAID THAT EVERYTHING WAS TO SPEC AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. IN DRIVING THE BEST I CAN GET IS ABOUT 15 MPG. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 9600. THE DEALER TOLD ME IT SHOULD GET BETTER BY 10000. THIS CAR IS NOT A KEEPER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHT POWER MODULE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
