TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN RATE OF SPEED, THE TRACTION, BRAKE, AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE HYDRAULIC BRAKE MODULE AND BRAKE PUMP. THE MECHANIC CALLED SEVERAL UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALERS AND EACH DEALER INFORMED HIM THAT THE PART WAS DISCONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 149,000.
I HAVE TO REPLACE MY BRAKES EVERY 2 TO 3 MONTHS AND IT HAS BECOME VERY COSTLY FOR ME. I HAVE TO REPLACE MY ROTATORS TWICE A YEAR.

I WAS DRIVING AT NORMAL CONDITION AT 35 MILES PER HOUR, AT ONE TIME, THE ABS AND ESC LIGHT COME ON THE DASHBOARD, THERE IS NO RAIN NO SNOW, NO EXCESSIVE BRAKING OR SPEEDING OR TURNING, SINCE 4 DAYS PASSED, THE LIGHTS COME ON EVERY DAY WHEN ENGINE RUNNING. UPDATED 11/04/15 *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE CONTACT FELT THE PEDAL VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE TURNED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
WAS AT A STOP LIGHT AND AFTER TAKING OFF THE CAR SHUT COMPLETELY DOWN WITH NO WARNING NO ENGINE LIGHT INDICATOR UNTIL AFTER THIS HAPPENED. I TRIED TO START IT AND IT CRANKED BUT DIDN'T START ALL THE WAY, I HAD IT TOWED HOME AND NOW IT STARTS. I HAD A SIX MONTH OLD INFANT IN THE CAR WITH ME WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE WHEN THE CAR CAN JUST SHUT DOWN LIKE THAT. I FEEL THERE IS A DEFAULT IN THE ENGINE, WE PURCHASE THIS CAR A YEAR AGO. THANK GOD THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND ME WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I ALSO HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES FROM WHEN WE PURCHASED THE CAR I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE FIGURED IT OUT. IT WAS FINE FOR FOUR WEEKS AND THE NOISE IS BACK, THERE IS A NOISE IN THE BRAKES ONLY WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKES LIGHTLY. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. AND THE THE WARRANTY IS UP. I FEEL IT'S A DEFECT. UPON MY LAST VISIT TO CHRYSLER THERE WAS A CUSTOMER THERE WHO ALSO HAS A 200 WITH THE SAME BRAKE PROBLEM THEY WERE TRYING TO RESOLVE. *TR

VEHICLE PURCHASE FROM ENTERPRISE CAR SALE, MAY 3,2013. MILEAGE 30926. IMMEDIATELY I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH LOUD CLICKING SOUND IN FRONT TIRES AND LOUD SQUEALING ON BACKUP. ENTERPRISE AGREED TO FIX THE PROBLEM ONCE IDENTIFIED. THE INSPECTION TO TIRES AND BRAKES WAS DONE AND DEALERSHIP STATED THEY COULD NOT GET VEHICLE TO REPLICATE THE NOISE (LOL) . 2ND TRIP TO DEALERSHIP. SAME COMPLAINT. ANSWER- COULD NOT GET VEHICLE TO DUPLICATE NOISE. "YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME. IF I CAN HEAR IT I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR IT. SO, MY SUGGESTION WAS TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS, TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONER / RADIO...YOU CANT MISS IT. WELL, THE FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS STATED THAT THEY WERE 1/8 INCH TO LARGE.BUT NOTHING DONE TO THE BRAKES. THERE WAS STILL PLENTY PADDING . 3RD TRIP TO DEALERSHIP. BRAKES ARE NOW SCREAMING AT ME! THE PADS WERE REPLACED WITH DIFFERENT MATERIAL. FROM CERAMIC TO METALLIC PADS.. TWO MONTHS HAVE GONE BY AND GUESS WHAT? THE NOISE IS BACK!!!!. IM NO GENIUS AND DEFINITELY NOT A MECHANIC, BUT IF YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME THING YOU WILL GET THE SAME RESULTS. HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT TAKE TO REALIZE THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS WRONG? THE BRAKES HAVE A HIGH PITCHED SQUEAL EITHER IN REVERSE OR FORWARD FOR THE FIRST MILE OF DRIVING, BUT ON OCCASION IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING FOR A WHILE TO. I TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE THEY ARE STEEL BRAKES WITH METAL ON METAL AND IT IS NORMAL. THEY SAID IT REPLACES THE ABESTOES BRAKES. I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WITH NEW CARS AND DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. *TR

FRONT BRAKE ROTOR KEEPS WARPING AND BRAKES DO NOT WORK WELL UNTIL ROTOR IS REPLACED. CAR WAS LIKE THIS FROM DAY 1, DEALER SAID IT WAS FIXED 3 TIMES BUT IT WASN'T. I HAVE REPLACED ALL FRONT BRAKE PARTS MYSELF 2 TIMES, AND IT IS STILL BAD. CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE ANYWHERE IF THE ROADWAY IS IN A MOUNTAINOUS AREA.05
BOUGHT THE CAR NEW, ON DAY 2 AT AROUND 80 MIIES, THE FRONT BRAKE WARPED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT ROTOR ,CAR COULD BARELY STOP.TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A FAULTY ROTOR, DEALER REPLACED AT NO CHARGE, APPROX 3 MONTHS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE DEALER REPLACED BOTH FRONT ROTORS AND SAID THAT CHRYSLER HAD A BUNCH OF FAULTY ROTORS. TRIED TO AVOID DRIVING THE CAR ANYWHERE THAT HAD ANY LARGE HILLS OR MOUNTAINS. MOVED TO FLORIDA SHORTLY AFTER THE LAST REPAIR AND THOUGHT THE DEALER HAD ACTUALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT IN 2016 I WENT BACK TO PA. FOR A VACATION AND THE FIRST TIME I DROVE IN THE MOUNTAINS, I HAD THE SAME BRAKE PROBLEM, I HAD TO AVOID THE MOUNTAINS. GOT HOME, I REPLACED EVERYTHING IN THE FRONT BRAKES BUT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND ABS SYSTEM., THOUGHT THIS TIME IT HAD TO BE FIXED. THEN IN THE FALL OF 2017 WE HAD TO EVACUATE THE STATE OF FLORIDA DUE TO A HURRICANE AND WE WENT TO NORTH CAROLINA TO STAY FOR 5 DAYS. THE FIRST BIG HILL WE ENCOUNTERED ON THE FREEWAY THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED, THE FRONT OF THE CAR VIBRATED BADLY AND THE BRAKES COULDN'T HOLD THE CAR BACK. STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY VERY WORRIED ABOUT THE BRAKES AND STILL HAVE TO AVOID MOUNTAINOUS AREAS. WAS QUOTED A PRICE OF APPROX. $750-$800 TO FIX. HAVE ALREADY SPENT $350 TO FIX IT.
