THERE IS OFTEN A SIGNIFICANT DELAY WITH ENGAGING DRIVE AFTER REVERSING AND COMING TO A FULL STOP. THERE IS SUCH A DELAY SUCH AS THE USUAL SLIGHT INCREASE IN ACCELERATION EXPECTED AND NEEDED TO DRIVE FORWARD THAT WHEN DRIVE FINALLY KICKS IN IT CLUNKS AND JERKS UNTIL IT STARTS MOVING FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE OFTEN, MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES. THE SHIFTING ALSO SEEMS JERKY SOMETIMES WHILE IN DRIVE WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN THE LOWER GEARS. I SUSPECT SOFTWARE ISSUES OF SHIFT POINTS PERHAPS OR JUST BAD COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS THAT COMMUNICATE TO MAKE THE SHIFTS OCCUR AT THE RIGHT TIMES. I MADE AN ACTUAL REPORT TO CHRYSLER WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR SO AT THE SAME TIME I REPORTED THE ISSUE WITH THE SPEED CONTROL NOT SHUTTING OFF (WHICH IS AN ACTIVE RECALL BUT THEY SAY OUR CAR DOESN'T HAVE THE PROBLEM AND IS NOT RECALLABLE) BUT NOT SURE THEY MADE NOTE OF IT IN MY VIN FILE. I AM GOING TO CALL THEM AGAIN TO SEE WHAT THE PERSON SHOWS IN THEIR NOTES...
SEVERAL DIAGNOSTICS CODES RELATING TO RECALLS ISSUED INVOLVING TRANSMISSION, ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND AIR BAGS PRESENT ON VEHICHLE. CHYRSLER REFUSES TO HONOR STATING THAT THOSE ISSUES DOESN'T EFFECT M MY VIN #. VEHEICLE STALLS AND AIR BAG MAINTENANCE LIGHT IS ON FOR OVER A YEAR NOW.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OFTEN SLIPS/SHUTTERS WHEN ADVANCING THROUGH THE LOWER GEARS ON AN UPHILL CLIMB.
CAR LOSING POWER .... STALLING .... TRANSMISSION ISSUES WHEN BACKING UP AND DRIVING UP A HILL ...
5/30/19 I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM GAGE AUTO SALES IN OREGON. ON 06/01/19 I WAS LEFT STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. ON 6/2 DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WERE NO STARTING ISSUES AND NO CODES AND I COULD PICK UP THE CAR. STARTING ISSUES PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE. LEAVING ME STRANDED MANY TIMES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON 6/23/19. 6/24/19 TOOK CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHICH THEY HAD UNTIL 07/12/19 STATING IS WAS THE KEY FOB AND PUSH START BUTTON. ONE WEEK IT RAN FINE THEN RAPIDLY BEGAN TO NOT START, CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON ALONG WITH TRANSMISSION LIGHTS. THE CAR HAS BEEN A LEMON SINCE DAY ONE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS SENT ME TO A THIRD PARTY MECHANIC AND ARE TELLING ME THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS CAR HAD THESE PROBLEMS THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT IT. IT WAS DEFECTIVE WHEN I PURCHASED IT AND NO ONE AT GAGE AUTO SALES WILL HELP ME. I AM 23 YEARS OLD TRYING TO MAKE IT ON MY OWN AND THERE IS NO WAY I CAN PAY 1500 TO RE-PROGRAM THE TRANSMISSION. PLEASE HELP ME!
THE RADIO BEGAN TO BUFFER AND WOULD REPEATEDLY CUT OFF AND ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE TOUCH SCREEN WOULD BE FROZEN DURING THIS TIME AND I COULD NOT OPERATE ANY CONTROLS. EVENTUALLY THE CAR STARTED TO STALL DUE TO THE BUFFERING RADIO DRAINING THE BATTERY. A NEW RADIO IS ON BACK ORDER AND WON'T BE IN UNTIL OCTOBER FOR AN ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE EARLY SUMMER. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THIS RADIO DUE TO SO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. IF A PART IS ON BACK ORDER, THAT SHOULD LET CHRYSLER KNOW THERE IS A REPEATED ISSUE WITH THIS AND IT SHOULD BE RECALLED. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS CAR AND SEEN VIDEOS ONLINE OF OTHERS DEMONSTRATING THE SAME ISSUE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER.
WHEN DRIVING IT SHUTS OFF, A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO START OR WOULD NOT RESTART AFTER BEING TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, THE CAR STALLED. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES WITHIN THE LAST 5 DAYS. IT IS UNKNOWN AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING, BUT THE CAR STALLING WHILE DRIVING IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, IS A SAFETY RISK. DURING THIS TIME, THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, AND AFTER PRESSING THE START BUTTON AGAIN, THE CAR STARTER WAS CONTINUALLY TRYING TO TURN OVER AND START, BUT DIDN'T. AFTER GETTING ASSISTANCE, THE CAR WAS FINALLY PUSHED OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET FROM IT'S STALLED POSITION. AFTER GETTING PUSHED TO A PARKED POSITION, IT FINALLY STARTED, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE OF IT STALLING AGAIN, SINCE THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW.
CHANGED BATTERY AND UPON RESTARTING IT MY 200 WAS IN NEUTRAL AND WILK NOT GO INTO ANY OTHER GEAR. THE SHIFT KNOB MOVES BUT THE GEARS DONT CATCH. PARK BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AND TRACTION LIGHT I THINK?
SINCE DEC 16, 2016 MY CAR HAS STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES , I HAVE FILED MULTIPLE BBB COMPLAINTS AS WELL AS HAVING IT INSPECTED , TOWED , NEW KEY FOBS PURCHASED AND MY CAR LITERALLY WILL STOP ON THE INTERSTATE PUTTING ME AND MY FAMILY IN DANGER. IT, HAS BROKEN DOWN 15 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THIS. I WANT THIS SETTLED
TAKATA RECALL: MY VEHICLE, CHRYSLER 2015 200 CONSISTENTLY STALLS OUT WHEN OIL GETS TOO LOW. OIL GOES LOW UNEXPECTEDLY AND FAR BEFORE ANY SCHEDULED OIL MAINTENANCE. ENGINE IS BURNING OIL MUCH TOO QUICKLY. VEHICLE WILL STALL WITH NO WARNING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S MASTER SWITCH FAILED TO FUNCTION; THEREFORE, THE DRIVER SIDE AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS FAILED TO ELECTRONICALLY GO UP AND DOWN WHEN NEEDED. PEACOCK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (265 DRIVERS WAY A, HARDEEVILLE, SC 29927, (843) 208-1200) AND THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALL CAMPAIGNS. THE DEALER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,176.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40-50 MPH, THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE ENGINE, AND SERVICE PARKING BRAKE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED FROM AUTOMATIC TO AUTO/MANUAL MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES: U0428 (INVALID DATE RECEIVED FROM STEERING) AND U1408 (IMPULSIVE SPEED SIGNAL RECEIVED, OUTPUT SHIFT DATA RECEIVED) WERE LOCATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,201.
I STARTED THE VEHICLE, LET IT IDLE FOR A FEW MINUTES. PUT IT IN DRIVE AND DROVE OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. GOT TO THE CORNER TO MAKE A RT TURN AND THE CAR DIED. DASH SAYS TO PUT CAR IN PARK. I THEN PRESSED THE START/IGNITION BUTTON AND IT STALLED, HAD A HARD TIME STARTING AGAIN. FINALLY STARTED AND I DROVE TO THE NEXT CORNER, IT STOPPED AGAIN FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE OR MORE. FINALLY STARTED. I PULLED INTO A DRIVEWAY TO GO BACK HOME. IT DIED/STOPPED AGAIN. I LET IT SIT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AFTER DASH SAID TO PUT IN PARK. IT FINALLY STARTED. I HEADED BACK HOME, WHILE DRIVING /IN MOTION, IT STOPPED AGAIN, AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE CURB. IT STARTED RATHER QUICKLY, AND I MADE IT BACK TO PARK IT ON THE STREET. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT SINCE THEN, BUT I DID START ON JUNE 1, 2019, WHERE I PUT IT IN DRIVE TO SEE IF IT WOULD STALL/STOP. IT DID NOT, BUT I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT SINCE MAY 22, 2019. HAVING IT TOWED ON JUNE 4, 2019 TO ONTARIO JEEP/CHRYSLER TO CHECK THE ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT HAD TO REACH UNDERNEATH THE DASHBOARD TO RELEASE THE BRAKE AND REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLE FOR 15 MINUTES IN ORDER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH BLACKBURN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (2135 N FRONTAGE ROAD, VICKSBURG, MS 39180, (601) 636-2766) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
WHILE I AM DRIVING MY CAR AS I'M COMING TO A STOP IT WILL START SHAKING AND SHUT OFF AS I'M DRIVING. I HAVE TO START TO PUSH IT 2-3 TIMES BEFORE IT CUTS BACK ON. IT DOES IT ABOUT 2-4 TIMES A DAY. THE BATTERY LIGHT WILL START FLASHING WHEN IT CUTS OFF, BUT AUTO ZONE HAS TESTED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR AND THEY BOTH PASSED THE TEST. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR A MONTH NOW WHERE IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF AS IM DRIVING SOMETIMES WITHOUT ANY OF THE SHAKING IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF AS I'M DRIVING. *TR
MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200C ALL-WHEEL DRIVE 3.6 L V6 HAS RANDOMLY HAD BOUTS OF STIFFNESS/LACK OF NORMAL TENSION IN MY STEERING USUALLY WHEN GOING TO TURN HUT HAS HAPPENED AT OTHER TIMES AS WELL LIKE WHEN CHANGING LANES! ALSO I'VE NOTICED A CLICKING/CREAKING BREAK PEDAL THAT WILL SPORADICALLY GET SEVERLY STIFF AND WHEN DEPRESSED DOES NOT SLOW THE VEHICLE OR IT WILL CLICK AND SINK LIKE THE PEDAL BBN IS GOING TO FALL THROUGH MY FLOOR BOARD WHILE I'M TRYING TO BREAK AT ANY SPEED! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL I SHOULD NOT BE STUCK WITH THE $20,000 BILL AND HAVE MY CHILDREN RIDING AROUND IN A CAR THAT DOESN'T WANT TO BREAK OR STEER PROPERLY AND I'VE HAD MULTIPLE MECHANICS LOOK AT IT AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING'S JUST FINE WITH IT OF COURSE THEY THINK THAT BECAUSE IT'S NOT A CONSISTENT PROBLEM IT JUST SO HAPPENS TO GO OUT SAME WITH MANY OTHER THINGS ON MY VEHICLE WHICH MAKES ME WONDER IF IT'S NOT ELECTRICAL EITHER WAY I DON'T CARE WHAT THE CAUSE IS IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT OR IF IT'S GOING TO CAUSE ME NOT BE ABLE TO STEER OR BRAKE PROPERLY WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR WE ALL DESERVE OUR MONEY BACK BECAUSE THIS IS NOT SAFE AND THESE CARS SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEASED TO THE MARKET!
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, USING CODE P03 MISFIRE ON CYLINDER ONE; REPLACED CYLINDER ONE AND SPARK PLUG STILL COMING ON AND BATTERY FLUNCTUATING. SHOP STAYED IT'S AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE NOT THE CYLINDER ITSELF . BATTERY JUMPS UP AND DOWN WHEN IN IDLE AND HESITATES TO START. DO NOT FEEL SAFE TAKING IT ANYWHEREB
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED GOING DOWN A STEEP HILL THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND WOULD NOT DOWN SHIFT. I HAD TO STOMP THE BREAK TO GET THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN. CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE FROM STEERING COLUMN. CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET AT 60 MPH AND SPEED INCREASED TO 75 MPH.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. I'VE REPORTED THIS BEFORE AND CHRYSLER INSISTS OUR VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM NOR IT IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. PROBLEM ALWAYS OCCURS WHILE SPEED CONTROL IS ON AND GOING DOWNHILL. THE RPM'S WILL INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY IN AN APPARENT ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE BY SHIFTING DOWN TO WAY TOO LOW OF A GEAR. OFTEN RPM'S WILL RACE NEAR 5000+ AND THE SCARIEST PART IS WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES THE SPEED CONTROL DOES NOT RELEASE. I HAVE BEEN THE ONE DRIVING WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED ON HALF A DOZEN OR MORE TIMES. RECENTLY MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ALONE AND EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN SHE QUICKLY APPROACHED A SLOW MOVING VEHICLE AND THE SPEED CONTROL WOULD NOT RELEASE. SHE HAS BLADDER ISSUES AND PEE'D HER PANTS, LITERALLY. LUCKILY SHE HAS BEEN IN THE VEHICLE BEFORE WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED AND SHE THOUGHT QUICKLY TO MOVE THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL AND APPLIED THE BRAKE WHICH RELEASED THE CRUISE CONTROL AND ALLOWED HER TO GET HER COMPOSURE BACK. IT WAS A CLOSE AND SCARY CALL FOR HER. AGAIN, WE HAVE REPORTED THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM AND CHRYLSER SAYS OUR CAR DOES NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL, WHICH IS A SIMPLE SOFTWARE UPGRADE WHICH THEY HAVE AND DOESN'T COST THEM MUCH FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO APPLY. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO SATURDAY LATE AFTERNOON MAY 18, 2019.
IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE IN THE MORNING WHEN MY CAR HAS BEEN IDLE FOR A FEW HOUR. ON SHARP TURNS OR ABRUPT BRAKING IN THE CITY MY CHRYSLER 200 2015 WILL STALL. FIRST, THE ELECTRICAL WARNING LIGHT WILL GO OFF ALONG WITH A BELL WARNING SOUND AND THEN THE CAR WILL STALL. I WILL THEN HAVE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD (WITH NO POWER), STOP THE CAR, ENGAGE THE DIAL TO PARK AND PRESS THE IGNITION BUTTON WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN AGAIN. WHEN I DO THIS, THE STARTER WILL STRUGGLE TO START, BUT AFTER 8 SECOND THE ENGINE WILL TURNOVER. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING MORE NOW. THE PROBLEM STARTED HAPPENING AT 58,000 MILES AND NOW I AM AT 70,000 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND THE RPMS INCREASED. THE CONTACT SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
2015 CHRYSLER 200S TRANSMISSION FAILURES. NUMEROUS TIMES THE GEAR WOULD SLIP FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE AT STOPLIGHTS. THE DASHBOARD WOULD INSTRUCT ME TO SHIFT INTO PARK THE CHOOSE DESIRED GEAR. THAT'S IF I'M LUCKY AND THE SHIFT KNOB DOESN'T LOCK, PREVENTING ME FROM SHIFTING INTO PARK OR ANY OTHER. NUMEROUS TIMES IT HAS DISENGAGED FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 55 MPH TO 70 MPH. HAVING FIND A WAY TO THE SHOULDER WITH NO POWER WHILE ACTIVATING THE HAZARD LIGHTS HAS PROVEN QUITE DISTURBING TO MANEUVER THROUGH TRAFFIC. SEVERAL TIMES IT HAS SLIPPED OUT OF DRIVE WHILE GOING THROUGH INTERSECTIONS LEAVING ME DISABLED IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY ROADS AT THE MERCY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC, HOPING THEY BRAKE IN TIME. IT HAS NEARLY BEEN THE CAUSE OF SEVERAL WRECKS HAVING LOSS OF POWER, STEERING WHEEL BECOMES HARD TO TURN AND I'VE NOWHERE TO TURN OFF OF ROAD FOR LACK OF SHOULDER OR CURBS CREATING OBSTACLES. REGARDLESS OF WHERE IT OCCURS , IF THE SHIFT KNOB IS LOCKED, THE CAR IS NOT BUDGING. IT IS LOCKED IN THE TRANSMISSION PREVENTING ANY WAY OF PUSHING IT. I CAN'T DRIVE MY SON ANYWHERE FOR FEAR IT COULD RESULT IN SOMETHING I'D RATHER NOT THINK OF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROAD AT ANY SPEED, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO SUPPORT FROM THE SHOCKS. AS A RESULT, THE WHEELS STRUCK THE BUMPS VIOLENTLY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHOCKS AND STRUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. CHRYSLER OF CULPEPER (11030 JAMES MONROE HWY, CULPEPER, VA 22701, (540) 547-3900) AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V392000 (SUSPENSION). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000.
CAR SHUT OFF WHEN DRIVING TWICE SAYS NO RECALL BUT THERE IS AN ISSUE UNDER 100,000 MILES I NEED A SOLUTION
THE 2015 CHRYSLER 200C HAVE SEVERAL STALLING ISSUES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE LAST WEEK AND NO FAULT WAS FOUND. THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING AND I WOULD LIKE FOR THE NHTSA TO CONDUCT A FULL INVESTIGATION.
THE 2015 CHRYSLER 200 ENGINE STALLED , ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS , WHILE THE VEHICLE WERE IN MOTION. FOR SAFETY , I WAS FORCED TO PULLED OVER AND WAIT ,WHILE RESTARTING THE ENGINE .
I WAS DRIVING ON 5/13/2019 I WAS GOING ABOUT MY BUSINESS WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP AND IT SAYS POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE THEN DASH GOES OUT THEN COMES BACK ON THEN SAYS TRANSMISSION SERVICE NEEDED WITH NO POWER AT ALL..I HAD TO CAREFULLY PULL TO SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT GETTING INTO A CAR ACCIDENT OR POSSIBLY GETTING KILLED..SHUT CAR OFF LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINS THEN RESTARTED CAR...I WAS ABLE TO PUT CAR INTO DRIVE AND DRIVE AWAY.THEN ABOUT 3 MINS LATER IT DOES IT AGAIN WHERE DASH WENT OUT BUT THEN CAME BACK ON WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON NOW..SO I HAD A FRIEND HOOK UP TO THE COMPUTER SYSTEM TO SEE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON..IT CAME UP WITH A BUNCH OF CODES WITH 1 SAYING THAT I WILL NEED A NEW ENGINE HARNESS ..SO I DROVE HOME AND PARKED CAR BECAUSE I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING CAR..SO TODAY 5/14/2019 I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF SOME BUSINESS..SO IM DRIVING AND ITS HAPPENS AGAIN JUST LIKE YESTERDAY NEEDLESS TO SAY I ALMOST CRASHED TODAY BECAUSE OF LOSS OF POWER..SAYS POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE ONCE AGAIN WITH TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE SERVICED..PULL OVER LET SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN STARTS AGAIN AND IM ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN THEN AS IM DRIVING DASH GOES OUT COMES BACK ON N I AM ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE..THEN AS DASH COMES COMES BACK ON SO DOES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT NOW STAYS ON..SO AT THIS POINT I AM VERY UNHAPPY N PISSED OFF THAT THIS IS HAPPENING..NEEDLESS TO SAY I STILL HAVE THINGS TO TAKE CARE OFF AMD WITH BOTH LIGHTS ON FOR REMAINDER OF DAY THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE WITH NO ISSUES.BUT ONCE I SHUT CAR OFF AND RESTARTED SAME THING HAPPENED WITH DASH GOING OUT THEN COMING BACK ON WITH BOTH LIGHTS.CHECK ENGINE AND BATTERY LIGHT AND CAR DRIVES FINE WITH BOTH ON..I WANT AN ANSWER ON THIS MATTER AS TO WHAT NEEDS TO GET DONE TO FIX THIS VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THIS POS CAR!!!ALSO IS THIS SOMETHING THAT IS COVERED UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY...

THE CONTACT SCHEDULED A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT WITH RIVER FRONT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (200 HANSEN BLVD, NORTH AURORA, IL 60542, (630) 907-1700). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,907.
THE MEANING OF THE LIGHT THAT COMES ON IS ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM
ON THE NIGHT OF 5/11 I CAME HOME FROM A BUSINESS TRIP IN A RENTAL VEHICLE AND PULLED MY PERSONAL VEHICULAR OUT OF MY UNDERGROUND SECURED GARAGE TO TAKE TO A STORE APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE AWAY. AFTER RETURNING TO MY APARTMENT I PARKED THE VEHICLE IN THE OUTSIDE PARKING LOT JUST FOR THAT NIGHT AS I PARKED THE RENTAL UNDERGROUND. ABOUT 15 MINUTES AFTER PARKING MY VEHICLE I HEARD 2 LOUD BOOMING SOUNDS I COULD HEAR FROM MY APARTMENT. ABOUT 20 MINUTES AFTER THE BOOMING SOUNDS THREE POLICE OFFICERS CAME TO MY APARTMENT DOOR AND TOLD ME MY VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE. THEY TOOK ME DOWN TO THE PARKING LOT AND TOLD ME THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION THAT LED TO THE FIRE. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A WITNESS WHO SAW SPARKS FLYING WHICH LED THE POLICE DETECTIVE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT TO THINK IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT LED TO THE EXPLOSION. THERE IS A POLICE REPORT ON FILE AND I HAVE FILED A CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS COMPLETELY ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND THE HEAT/FIRE DAMAGED THE TWO VEHICLES ON EITHER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER JAY'S AUTO REPAIR LOCATED AT 20101 VAN DYKE AVE, DETROIT, MI 48234, (313) 826-7371, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE OIL HOUSING SYSTEM NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TROUBLE BEGAN IN MAY 2019. 'SERVICE TRANSMISSION' COMES UP ON DISPLAY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES, AND THE CAR DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY. IT GETS STUCK INTO A HIGHER GEAR, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE FROM A COMPLETE STOP. SOMETIMES TURNING THE CAR OFF/ON WILL CLEAR THE MESSAGE AND SHIFT PROPERLY (ALBEIT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON), AND SOMETIMES IT TAKES A FEW HOURS BEFORE IT WILL GO AWAY. EVENTUALLY BOTH THE MESSAGE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO AWAY BUT EVENTUALLY (SOMETIMES MINUTES, HOURS, OR AFTER A FEW DAYS) THE TROUBLE WILL PERSIST. I TOOK IT INTO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ON 6/15/19 AND THEY SAID THE BATTERY FAILED 2 OF 3 TIMES AND REPLACED THE BATTERY AND REPROGRAMMED THE TCM. TOTAL COST $312. THIS FIX LASTED THREE DAYS. SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPT AT I10 DODGE IN INDIO, CA. FOR 8AM. THE MESSAGE AND CEL WILL OCCUR RANDOMLY. SOMETIMES AFTER IMMEDIATELY TURNING THE CAR ON, BUT MOST OFTEN WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY ON CITY STREETS OR THE FREEWAY. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER I'M IN DRIVE MODE OR SPORT MODE. THE FACT THAT THE GEARS DO NOT SHIFT PROPERLY AND GET 'STUCK' INTO A HIGHER GEAR CAN BE UNSAFE.
MY CAR WOULDN'T START WHEN YOU HOLD DOWN THE BREAKS AND THE START BUTTON AND IT HAS WHEN IT RAINS OR AFTER IT RAINS BUT I CHANGE THE BATTERY AND THE KEY FOB BATTERY NOT THAT LONG AGO AND I'M CONFUSED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING.

THIS CAR HAS STALLED 5 TIMES COMING DOWN A HILL WHILE TURNING IN TO TRAFFIC. ONCE, I HAD MY CHILD WITH ME. I WAS HEADING IN TO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR DIED, LEAVING ME STRANDED WITH CARS COMING!!! THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I CAN'T MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! IT TAKES ANYWHERE FROM 10 SECONDS TO OVER A MIN TO GET IT TO START AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE WILL STALL AND SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING. I HAVE TO COAST TO A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OVER AND WHEN I TRY TO RESTART THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND THEN STARTS TO CRANK SLOWLY AND THEN STARTS BACK UP. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES OVER THE LAST 5 DAYS.

THE RADIO/MEDIA CENTER SOFTWARE HAS STOPPED WORKING. THE RADIO WILL PLAY AND YOU WILL HEAR SOUNDS BUT YOU CAN'T SEE ANY TRANSACTIONS GOING ON. IT STAYS ON THE SAME STATION THAT YOU LEFT IT ON AND IT COMES ON AND GOES OUT EVERY MINUTE. THE OTHER FEATURES WON'T SHOW AT ALL (MEDIA, PHONE, NAVIGATION ETC.). IT DOES THIS WHILE THE CAR IS ON OR OFF! I TRIED TO FIX IT VIA THE ONLINE INFORMATION THAT THE WEBSITES OFFERS TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AND SHOULD BE A RECALL. THIS ALL HAPPENED AFTER THE WARRANTY ON THE CAR EXPIRED OF COURSE.

THE CONSOLE SCREEN SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY APPROXIMATELY EVER 60 SECONDS. THIS OCCURS BOTH WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. IT HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED TWICE AND NO DIAGNOSTIC WAS ABLE TO BE PRODUCED. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF. THIS HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND TURNED OFF TWICE, BUT COMES BACK ON VERY QUICKLY.
EVER SINCE WE GOT THIS CAR, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT SMOOTHLY, OFTEN VERY ROUGH. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER A FEW TIMES AND THEY ALWAYS TELL US THIS IS HOW THE TRANSMISSION IS SUPPOSED TO ACT. I THINK NHTSA NEEDS TO LOOK FURTHER INTO THIS BC NO TRANSMISSION THAT IS THIS NEW SHOULD BE EXPERIENCING THE ROUGH SHIFT, SLIP, ETC LIKE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED.
I AM WRITING IN TO NOTIFY YOU THAT CHRYSLER RECALL P43 SHOULD APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. I HAVE INTERMITTENT FUNCTIONALITY LOSS IN THE DRIVER DOOR DUE TO WHAT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IS A SHORT IN THE DRIVER DOOR WIRING HARNESS. THEY COULDN'T FIND THE SHORT VISUALLY, BUT KNOW ITS THERE FROM A MULTI METER TEST READING. THEY WANTED OVER 500 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THIS DOOR HARNESS AND I TRULY BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE REPLACED AS PART OF THE CHRYSLER P43 RECALL. THIS RECALL ONLY APPLYS TO 8 "KNOWN" CHRYSLER 200 LX MODELS BUT WHO IS TO SAY THE DEFECT COULDN'T BE PRESENT IN MORE? IT HAS PRESENTED ITSELF OBLIVIOUSLY IN MY CAR. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME FAILING TO REPLACE THIS HARNESS WILL RESULT IN FURTHER ELECTRICAL FAILURE INCLUDING AIRBAG MIS-OPERATION,. IT DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT THAT THIS RECALL DOESN'T APPLY TO MY VEHICLE.
CAR HAS SERV AWD LIGHT ON HAD ONE SHOT REPLACE A MOTOR ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRANSFER CASE BUT THE PROBLEM CAME BACK WHEN SHIFTING FROM DRIVE TO SPORT NEXT I BROUGHT IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR NEAR THE MOTOR THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED AND IT DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING THEY STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. MY CAR JERKS FORWARD MID BREAKING IN THE RPM SURGE ALSO MY TRANSMISSION IS SLOW TO DOWNSHIFT IN THE FIRST THREE GEARS I BELIEVE IT IS AND LOSES COMPRESSION WHEN GOING UP SOME HILLS POWER TO THIS VEHICLE AS IN THE TORQUE OR HORSEPOWER IS VERY INCONSISTENT SOMETIMES IT FEELS SLUGGISH OTHER TIMES IT JUST WANTS TO GO . SHOPS REPORT BRAKE SURGE IS NORMAL. ALSO HAD SPORATIC HARD PEDAL, MASTER CYLINDER IS OK. BRAKE PEDAL CLICKS AND FEELS UNSTABLE. THE STEERING RACK FEELS LOOSE AND DANGEROUS LIKE ITS GOING TO FALL THROUGH THE FLOOR. BRAKE PEDAL ARMS RUSTED CARS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD WITH 60,000 MILES ON IT WITH NO PRIOR FLOOD DAMAGE.
I AM EXPERIENCING RATTLING FROM MY REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL THAT ONLY OCCURS WHEN THERE ARE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH THE TIRES. HOWEVER, I CAN FEEL EVERY BUMP THAT I GO OVER BUT ONLY ON THE SIDE WHERE THE BACK TIRE IS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE.
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE FROM THE STOP POSITION ON THE STREET OR AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND I BEGIN TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE HESITATES AS THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASE. IT TAKES ABOUT 2-5 SECONDS FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO CATCH UP WITH THE DESIRED SPEED. WHEN DRIVING OVER 45 - 55MPH OR HIGHER ON THE HIGHWAY THERE IS A DISTINCT HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. A CONSTANT HUMMING SOUND. WHEN I DECREASE IN SPEED THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AS IF IT DOESN'T WANT TO GO INTO ITS LOWER GEARS. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURRING WITH THE VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED IT USED IN AUGUST OF 2017 IN HAWAII.
