I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE AIRBAGS THAT WILL DEPLOY IN A WRECK DUE TO NEEDING A NEW OC MODULE AND PASSENGER AIRBAG. MY CAR ONLY HAS 60K MILES AND NO AIRBAGS. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT THE REPAIR IS OVER $1,000.00. HOW IS THIS NOT A DEFECT/RECALL WHEN AIRBAGS HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED ON MY VEHICLE? HOW IS THIS SAFE TO SELL CARS THAT HAVE AIRBAG DEFECTS WITHOUT RECALLS?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START WHEN THE PUSH START BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWO OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 183,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER (CENTRAL FLORIDA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM, 8675 COMMODITY CIR, ORLANDO, FL 32819, (407) 351-9940) STATED THAT THE ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE BATTERY IN THE KEY FOB. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD REIMBURSE THE CONTACT $800 TOWARDS THE PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT FAILURES WITH THE ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO OPENED A CASE REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 STARTED DISPLAYING SERVICE AIR BAGS , AND THEN THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AFTER THAT IT SHUT OFF TWICE AND NOW IT WON'T CRANK UP. BUT THE DASH LIGHTS STAY ON AND THE RADIO PLAYING, SO I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. EACH TIME THE CAR SHUT OFF, I WAS DRIVING AND I WAS ON A MAJOR ROAD IN THE CITY DOING THE TIME PERIOD PEOPLE IS GETTING OFF WORK. THE CAR IS PARKED IN MY YARD AND WILL NOT CRANK, I BELIEVE IT IS A ELECTRICAL PROBABLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE INCREASED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT. ALSO, THE "THROTTLE BODY ELECTRONIC MODULE SERVICE REQUIRED" INDICATOR FLASHED ON AND OFF. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE CITY OF MCKINNEY (972-569-9650, LOCATED AT 700 S CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75070) AND WAS KEPT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000.
I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING IT WON'T TURN ON AFTER THE HEATER IS ON THE NEXT DAY IT WON'T TURN ON AND WHEN THE CAR NEEDS A OIL CHANGE THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND THEN THE CAR START ACTING FUNNY IT WILL JUST TURN OFF IN THE ST AND IT WON'T TURN BACK ON AND I CAN'T TAKE IT OFF PARKING TO MAKE THE CAR AND THEN WHEN IT DOES TURN ON THE SPEED WON'T WORK IT WON'T GO OVER 15 MPH BUT I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE AND THE METERS GO UP.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
CAR JERKS A LOT WHEN PULLING OFF AND STOPPING

IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE LIGHT, PARKING BRAKE, AND RELAY SWITCH INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (ATLANTIC DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM, 2330-40 US HIGHWAY 1 S, ST AUGUSTINE, FL 32086, (904) 797-4383) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
MY CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF WHILE I WAS AT A STOP SIGN BUT STARTED UP ABOUT A MINUTE LATER BUT A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO THAT INCIDENT, MY CAR STALLED AT A RED LIGHT AND ALSO IN ANOTHER INCIDENT WHILE I WAS PARKING IT STALLED AND ALL OF THIS OCCURRED WITHIN 3 DAY PERIOD.
"TAKATA RECALL" HEADING TOWARD A RED LIGHT I STARTED PRESSING ON MY BRAKE WHEN THE CAR STARTS ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN.. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND ON THE CITY STREET.
EVERY TIME SOME BODY SEATS BEHIND THE DRIVER SIDE AND KIKS THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT IT SHOW TO SERVICE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM
I STARTED TO FEEL THE JERK RANDOMLY WHILE THE CAR SWITCHED GEARS. TOOK IT FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TOLD THE DEALERSHIP/MECHANIC THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. EACH TIME WHEN I PICKED IT UP, THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE UNABLE TO SEE THE PROBLEM AFTER DRIVING IT AROUND. IT HAPPENS SPORADICALLY BUT WHEN IT DOES, THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT RAN INTO A WALL AND JERKS HARD. IF I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN I WOULD SO THE MECHANIC COULD SEE. OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS I HAVE NOTICED IT HAS BEEN OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY. THIS IS TAKING PLACE WHILE IN THE HIGHWAY DRIVING 55 MPH, WITH THE CRUZE CONTROL ON AND STILL CONTINUES WITH IT OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO HAS COME ON.
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT AND SENSOR CONTINUOUSLY TURNING ON WHILE IN MOTION AND WHILE STOPPED.
I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE WIRING HARNESS REPLACED, BUT NOW MY CAR STALLS WHILE CRUISING OR DECELERATING WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS. THEN THE CAR WON'T START RIGHT AWAY LEAVING ME STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
CAR ENGINE STALLS CONTINUESLY WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING AT ALL . RECALL WAS PLACED ON THIS CAR IN 2015 FOR THIS ISSUE SUPPOSEDLY AS I READ ONLINE . NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN
WHEN I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR WENT FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE RESULTING IN A SUDDEN JUMP FROM THE CAR. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY JUST REFLASHED MY TRANSMISSION INSTEAD OF FIXING THE ACTUAL PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE COMING TO A STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. ALL STAR DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (11503 ST CHARLES ROCK RD, BRIDGETON, MO 63044, (314) 291-2050) DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
1) I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET 40 MPH AND THE CAR LOST POWER AND STOPPED ON THE MIDDLE OF STREET IN A VERY UNSAFE POSITION, I TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT ONLY MADE THE START NOISE AND DID NOT WORK ANYMORE. 2)THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT IS ON FOR MORE THAN 4 MONTHS.
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING WHEN MY CAR WITHOUT WARNING BEGAN TO SHUTDOWN. AND SINCE I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO START UP THE CAR . THE BATTERY COMPLETELY LOST LIFE IN WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE THE CAR WAS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE .THE MILES ON THE CAR IS APPROXIMATELY 67,500 IT WAS 56,100 WHEN I PURCHASED IT .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHEN SWITCHING THE TRANSMISSION TO THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD JERK. WHILE THE ENGINE WAS IDLING, THE RPMS INCREASED AND CAUSED A ROARING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD EXPERIENCE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
AFTER VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR A WHILE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL, ABS AND AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE LOSES DRIVING FUNCTION MOMENTARILY AND THE GAS PEDAL DOES NOT MOVE THE CAR FOR A FEW SECONDS. THEN I HAVE TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL DOWN HEAVILY TO GET THE CAR TO TRAVEL AT A LOW SPEED. THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT PROPERLY AND THIS NORMALLY LAST FOR A WHILE THEN STOPS. A CODE READER SAYS 'HIGH SPEED CAN COMMUNICATION BUS' I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT SIMULATE THE ISSUE SO THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. IT NORMALLY HAPPENS WHEN IT IS VERY COLD OR BELOW FREEZING OUTSIDE. ALSO WHEN IT IS A HOT DAY THE VEHICLE UNLOCKS IT'S OWN DOORS, STARTS ITSELF, POPS THE TRUNK ON IT'S OWN WHEN I AM NOWHERE AROUND AND THE KEY FOB IS NOWHERE NEAR WHICH IS DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE MY CAR OR MY BELONGINGS TO BE STOLEN.
TAKATA RECALL - AIRBAG WARNING SENSOR HAS BEEN DISPLAYING OFF AND ON FOR OVER A YEAR. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD IT WAS WEAR AND TEAR AND IT WOULD COST ME ALOT TO REPLACE THEM. THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER (GROG OUT) INTERMITTENTLY CAUSING ME TO ALMOST STALL. AND JUST RECENTLY THE GAS CAP WARNING LIGHT CAME ON, ALONG WITH THE ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE IT FIXED BUT WAS TOLD SOMETHING WAS FAULTY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURES OCCURRED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
WHILE ON A TRIP FROM GEORGIA TO INDIANA. MY FAMILY AND I WERE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE FRONT TIRES BEGAN TO MAKE NOISE AND A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CAR ALSO BEGAN PULLING HARD TO THE LEFT. WHEN WE ARRIVED TO INDIANA, THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO A TIRE SHOP. THE TIRE SHOP STATED THAT ONE HAD TREAD SEPARATION AND THE OTHER HAD A BROKEN BELT. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 33,000 MILES ON IT. I HAD TO REPLACE 2 TIRES. I TOOK PICTURES AND DOCUMENTED THE TIRES. I CONTACTED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE TIRES BEING SENT TO THEM. I HAD NO WAY TO CARRY 2 TIRES BACK FROM INDIANA TO GEORGIA.
A FEW MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE,AIRBAG LIGHT AND MESSAGE STATES SERVICE AIRBAG. TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICING, STATED SENSOR WAS BAD AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER SENSOR.($100W/WARRANTY). THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON FOR MONTHS.LATELT IT'S BEEN COMING ON PRETTY REGULAR. I SUSPECT A WIRING ISSUE AS WELL. WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED FOR AWHILE THE LIGHT GOES OUT LIKE IT SHOULD, ONLY TO COME BACK ON WHEN IT WANTS TO.
CAR WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. LOST POWER AND THE DASH READ "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" "SERVICE PARK BRAKE." I COULD NOT GET THE SHIFT KNOB OUT OF "D," DESPITE TURNING IT LEFT AND RIGHT. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER. ABLE TO TURN CAR OFF, AND EVENTUALLY RESTART AND PUT IN DRIVE. THIS SAME LOSS OF POWER OCCURRED 3 MORE TIMES, BEFORE IT STAYED IN DRIVE AND I WAS ABLE TO GET TO A MECHANIC. FOUND NOTHING WRONG. I READ THERE WAS AN R24 RECALL FOR CHRYSLER 200'S BUILT BETWEEN JANUARY 2014 AND SEPTEMBER 2014, CITING LOSS OF POWER AND HAVING THE SAME DISPLAY THAT I OBSERVED ON THE DASH. MY DEALER IS TELLING ME THAT MY CAR IS NOT UNDER THAT RECALL - WHICH I KNOW. HOWEVER, I TRIED TO REITERATE MY CONCERN OVER MY SAFETY OF HAVING COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER ON THE HIGHWAY AND EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE R24 RECALL. I ASKED IF THEY COULD LOOK AT MY VEHICLE AS HAVING THAT SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALL, BUT I WAS TOLD THEY CANNOT. THE DEALER NEEDS TO TREAT IT AS A SEPARATE MECHANICAL FAILURE, DESPITE THIS PROBLEM BEING IDENTICAL TO THE RECALL. I EXPRESSED CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY AND MAY FAMILY'S SAFETY, AND THAT I WOULD LIKE THEM TO APPROACH THIS ISSUE WITH THE CONCERN THEY HAD WITH RECALL VEHICLES WITH THE SAME POWER FAILURE ISSUE. I DECIDED NOT TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AS I DO NOT WANT MY POWER FAILURE PROBLEM (WITH THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS AS THE R24 RECALL) TO BE RUN THROUGH THE SAME DIAGNOSTIC TESTS THAT MY MECHANIC RAN IT THROUGH, TO NO AVAIL. AS WITH THE R24, I WANT THE DEALER TO FOCUS ON THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. I SUSPECT THAT OTHER 2015 CHRYSLER 200 AWD DRIVE VEHICLES ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME POWER FAILURE THAT I HAD. THANK YOU.
AFTER TURNING MY CAR ON, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, AND AFTER BACKING UP AND PUTTING THE CAR INTO DRIVE, THE CAR STALLED. ANOTHER TIME, I CAME TO A STOP SIGN AND WHILE TRYIG TO ACCELLERATE, THE CAR STALLED. IT HAS STALLED AT STOP LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS, AND THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN A BATTERY LIGHT COME ON THE DASHBOARD AFTER THE CAR IS STALLED AND IN ELECTRICAL MODE. THERE IS NO WARNING OR INDICATION ANYTHING IS WRONG THEN THE CAR WILL DIE AND WILL BE UNABLE TO RESTART FOR A FEW MIMUTES. I HAD THE ALTERNATOR AND SPARK PLUGS REPLACED YESTERDAY, AND I GOT ABOUT 100 FEET FROM MY HOUSE AND STALLED AT A STOP SIGN THIS MORNING. THIS PRIMARILY COMES WHEN I ACCELLERATE FROM A STOP, OR SLOW SPEED.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON FREEWAY. AS I APPLIED THE BRAKE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN, IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. CONTINUED BRAKE PRESSURE BROUGHT ABOUT THE SLOWING OF THE VEHICLE. THE UNWANTED ACCELERATION WAS MOMENTARY BUT FRIGHTENING AS I WAS IN TRAFFIC. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION IN THIS AND OTHER VEHICLES WITH NO KNOWN FIX. MAKE CHRYSLER TAKE THESE OFF THE ROAD!!!
PROBLEM WITH STEREO WHICH COMPLETLY TURNS OFF AND RESETS WHILE DRIVING, WILL REBOOT AND DISPLAY WARNING. AFTER TURNING CAR OFF RADIO WILL STAY ON EMITTING NOTHING BUT STATIC. AIR CONDITIINING WILL AUTOMATICALLY TURN ON. AIR BAG WARNING WHICH WILL NOT VO AWAY.
Unknown the passenger airbag malfunction detection light is on with no known reason displayed
A TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT, SERVICE ELECTRICAL THROTTLE, AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 PURCHASED FROM ENTERPRISE CAT SALES IN MAY OF 2016..THE VEHICLE BEGAN HESITATING WHILE DRIVING AS IF I WAS SHIFTING IN NEUTRAL.I TOOK MY CAR TO THREE RIVERS CHRYLSER DEALER WEST LIBERTY AVENUE IN PITTSBURGH IN FEBRUARY OF 2018. I ALSO ASKED TO HAVE MY BRAKES DONE.I WAS ASKED TO PURCHASE A NEW UPGRADED VEHICLE WHICH I DECLINED.I TOOK MY CAR BACK SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN THREE DEALEASHIPS BETWEEN MARCH AND JUNE BECAUSE IT WAS IN WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN I GAVE IT TO THEM.SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE, SOUNDED LIKE A MACK TRUCK, STALLED, COOLENT LEAKING. I HAD IT TOWED THREE TIMES.THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A LOANER CAR AND WERE NOT HELPFUL IN ANYWAY. I RETURNED IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP THIS WEEK NOW JUNE. THE ELECTRICAL THROTTLE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS COMING ON AND I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS UNSAFE. I BELIEVE THIS CAR WAS RECALLED AND THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE NOT DONE ON THIS VEHICLE. I CONTACTED THE WARRANTY COMPANY THAT HAD MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. MY CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN FEBRUARY. ACCORDING TO AN EMAIL, THE DEALERSHIP SUBMITTED THE SERVICES "SUPPOSEDLY" COMPLETED IN FEBRUARY TO THEM IN MARCH AND APRIL AFTER THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. I BELIEVE THEY PURPOSELY DID NOT COMPLETE THE WORK IN FEBRUARY IN ORDER FOR MY WARRANTY TO EXPIRE AND I HAVE TO PAY THEM OUT OF POCKET. NOW I HAVE A CAR PAYMENT AND NO VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE FREEWAY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I HAD A GOOD 3-4 CAR LENGTHS IN BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE CARS IN FRONT OF MY CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP SO I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES. THE CAR INITIALLY SLOWED BUT NOT AT THE PACE I EXPECTED. I PUSHED THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME TOTALING THE CAR. THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM IN FRONT OF ME AND THE ROADS WERE DRY. THE CAR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED IN TIME WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE BRAKES WERE THE CAUSE. I HAD NOTICED THEM BEING DELAYED IN THE WEEKS PRIOR BUT DID NOT HEAR ANY SQUEAKING SO I ASSUMED THEY WERE FINE UNTIL THIS HAPPENED.

I MADE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS EXACT ISSUE LAST SUMMER (2017) REGARDING MY VEHICLE SPEEDING UP ON ITS OWN AND THE CRUISE CONTROL GETTING STUCK AND BEING DIFFICULT TO DISENGAGE. I WANTED CHRYSLER TO BUY THE VEHICLE BACK BECAUSE I WAS CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY BUT MY CLAIM WAS DENIED. NOW I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THIS ORGANIZATION (NHTSA) THAT SOME 2015 CHRYSLER 200 VEHICLES ARE BEING RECALLED FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE THAT I PREVIOUSLY COMPLAINED ABOUT. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND ASSUMING I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT REPAIRED. I WAS BY TWO SEPARATE CHRYSLER EMPLOYEES THAT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. EVEN THOUGH I PREVIOUSLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO GO HAVE MY CAR CHECKED AND PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS ON MY OWN. I WILL BE MAKING ANOTHER FORMAL COMPLAINT AND REQUESTING AGAIN THAT CHRYSLER BUY BACK THIS CAR BECAUSE ITS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS THAT THEY ADMIT NEED TO BE DONE ON SOME OF THE VEHICLES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
TAKAYA RECALL- MY CAR HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF WHEN I COME TO A STOP AND IT TAKES 10 TO 15 MINUTES FOR IT TO CUT BACK ON THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON AND OFF FOR THE PAST YEAR. THE MAIN DASH IN THE CHRYSLER WILL CONSTANTLY FLASHING ALL OF ITS LIGHTS AND TELL ME THAT MY PARKING BRAKE NEEDS SERVICED AND THAT MY TRANSMISSION NEEDS SERVICED. I HAVE GONE INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR IT JUST NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT THAT NEVER SOLVES ANY OF MY PROBLEMS. THE CAR TRIES TO STALL OUT EVERY DAY IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND WHILE IT'S TRYING TO STALL OUT TENDS TO JUMP AND ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. ON JUNE 6, 2018 MY CHRYSLER 200 WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. THIS COLLISION TOOK PLACE IN AKRON OHIO DO TO THE CAR JUMPING, ACCELERATING AND EVENTUALLY STALLING OUT AND LOCKING UP THE CAR, SO I WAS UNABLE TO BREAK OR STEER. THE CAR ENDED UP REAR ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO MYSELF NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE LOCKED UP CAR. I HAVE BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP THAT I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM MULTIPLE TIMES URGING THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. AND EVERY TIME I GO IN THEY SAY THAT THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM IT JUST NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN PROPER MAINTENANCE THAT NEEDS DONE ON THIS CA I HAVE BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP THAT I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM MULTIPLE TIMES URGING THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. AND EVERY TIME I GO IN THEY SEE THAT THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM IT JUST NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. NONE OF THE SOFTWARE UPDATE HAVE FIXED ANY PROBLEM THAT I HAVE HAD WITH THIS CAR. AND BECAUSE OF THAT MY CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER THAT I HAD NO CONTROL OVER.
Multiple times, regardless of repairs done. The transmission keeps hard shifting in and out of 5th gear. One time to the point where I couldn't shifts gears (stuck in 4th) and was stuck at speeds under 45 mph on a busy freeway.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT OPERATING CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM 24 (1020 BELMONT ST, BROCKTON, MA 02301, (781) 961-1550) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
