THE CAR STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CAR COMPLETELY LOCKED UP AND WENT INTO PARK SLAMMING THE CAR STOPPED. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO STAR DODGE IN ABILENE. PINS WERE REPAIRED. AGAIN AT 14172 MILES THE CAR STALLED WITHOUT WARNING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH. THIS TIME IT DID NOT GO AUTOMATICALLY INTO PARK (THANK GOD). NEAR ACCIDENT AS THIS WAS IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. AFTER COASTING TO THE SHOULDER, THE CAR DID START AGAIN. THIS TIME IT WAS TAKEN TO ALLEN SAMUELS CHRYSLER IN FORT WORTH. THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG AND TIGHTENED THE PINS AGAIN. NO ONE WITH CHRYSLER CAN ASSURE US THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. ACCORDING TO LEMMONAUTO.COM THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THIS KNOWN ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER 200'S. CHRYSLER CORP CASE MANAGER DAWN (214)689-7958 WILL ONLY SAY TAKE IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. I'VE EXPLAINED THAT IT'S BEEN TO THE DEALER 2X NOW, NO REPAIRS CAN BE MADE. I HAVE CHILDREN THAT I WILL NOT LET IN THIS CAR BECAUSE IT'S A DEATH TRAP. THIS IS A TICKING TIME BOMB. WHO KNOW WHEN IT WILL STALL AGAIN, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WARNING, AND WHO KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN, NOT IF, BUT WHEN THIS OCCURS. CHRYSLER IS THUS FAR REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE. WE JUST NEED THEM TO TRADE THIS CAR. WE NEED THE PUBLIC TO KNOW THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT THOUSANDS OF 200 OWNER'S ARE HAVING.
I PURCHASED VEHICLE 7/31/2015, ON 8/17/2015 VEHICLE BEGAN TO JERK, MISS OUT , TRY TO DIE WHEN DRIVING AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK INTO SHOP 8/18/2015 AND FOUND OUT THAT THE MOTOR WAS BAD AND IT WAS A FACTORY DEFAULT AND NEEDED REPLACED. MOTOR HAD 468 MILES ON IT. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, WE FOUND OUT THAT AN ENTIRE LINE WAS PRODUCED WHERE SOME OF THESE MOTORS WERE NOT PUT TOGETHER PROPERLY (MISSING A SEAL). TO THIS DATE, 10/7/2015 I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN ANY RECALL OR ANY MENTION OF SAID PROBLEM. MY MOTOR WAS TO BE REPLACED, I TOLD CHRYSLER I WANTED THEM TO TAKE THE CAR BACK. I HAD ONLY 2 WEEKS AND THE MAJOR PART OF VEHICLE WAS JUNK. THEY SUGGESTED A REPLACEMENT, WE TRIED THAT SOLUTION AND 4 WEEKS INTO IT, THEY HAD STILL NOT MOVED. I AM NOW ASKING THEM TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE AND LET ME MOVE ON. I FEEL LIKE THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS, AS THERE IS POTENTIALLY HUNDREDS OF VEHICLES OUT THERE WITH BAD MOTORS SITTING ON LOTS, DRIVEWAYS, GARAGES OR DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD JUST WAITING TO FAIL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND INCREASED IN RPMS. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, BUT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
CAR CUT OFF AT A STOP SIGN. RESTARTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. AFTER RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A SIMILAR FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR ONE WEEK WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BECOME AVAILABLE UNTIL SIXTY TO NINETY DAYS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AND WHILE DRIVING IT SEEMS TO PAUSE THEN EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN IT ACCELERATES. THE WIPERS MAKE A LOUD NOISE. THE LOW TIRE ICON CAME ON WHEN I CHECKED TIRES THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF AIR WAS IN EACH TIRE BUT ICON WOULD NOT GO OFF. I PUT OVER THE AMOUNT OF AIR IN FRONT TIRES AND ICON STILL WILL NOT GO OFF. THE TEMP GAUGE WILL NOT WORK UNTIL I REACH THE SPEED OF 55 THEN IT SLOWLY WORKS. THIS CAR SCARES ME I FEEL MY LIFE IS AT RISK. I HAVE ALREADY HAD 4 OR 5 RECALLS AND TRANSMISSION WORK ON IT. THE RADIO TECHNOLOGY LOOSES SIGNAL FREQUENTLY AND IT HAS STARTED USING MORE GAS THAN WHEN I FIRST GOT IT. I HAVE BEEN SO AFRAID OF THIS CAR I FEEL I AM PLAYING A DEATH GAME EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. I LIVE IN WV AND OUR ROADS ARE CURVY AND MOSTLY 2 LANES. CAN I GET ANOTHER SAFER CAR WITHOUT BEING PENALIZED THIS HAS BEEN ON GOING SINCE I BOUGHT IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TCM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 9,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE AND SHIFT THE GEAR LEVER INTO THE DRIVE POSITION, THE VEHICLE JERKED BEFORE MOVING FORWARD. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO REPAIRED THE VEHICLE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V090000 (POWER TRAIN); HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VIN WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TRANSMISSION ISSUES: WHEN TRANS DOWN SHIFTS FROM 8TH TO 7TH GEAR IT SPEEDS UP BEFORE DOWN SHIFTING TO 6TH WHILE BRAKING IS A SCARY FEELING. ALSO JUMPS OUT OF 5TH WHEN UPSHIFTING WHILE ACCELERATING. OTHER ISSUES WHEN PULLING IN TO TRAFFIC FROM A YIELD LANE BELOW 35 MPH TRANS SLIPS BEFORE UPSHIFTING AND PUTS YOU IN ON COMING TRAFFIC AND THE VEHICLE JUST HESITATES WHICH COULD CAUSE SOMEONE TO REAR END ME.
I WAS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY 17 AND ATTEMPTING TO TRAVERSE AN OVERPASS AT 66MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR BEGAN TO LURCH AND DECELERATE. I PUT ON MY HAZARDS AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO APPLY BRAKES AND NAVIGATE TO THE SHOULDER WHEN I LOST MY ABILITY TO STEER THE VEHICLE AND THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION ALARM BEGAN GOING OFF. I PRESSED THE BRAKES UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP (THANKFULLY WAS NOT REAR-ENDED) AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. LUCKILY THE CAR RESTARTED, HOWEVER AFTER TRAVELING LESS THAN 500FT THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS TIME I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT AND CALL MY HUSBAND. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING, HOWEVER THE CAR ONLY STAYED ON FOR ABOUT 45 SECONDS BEFORE IT DIED AND WOULD NOT RESTART. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AFTER PROVIDING MY LOCATION, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP ASKED ME THE FOLLOWING QUESTION POINT BLANK "WERE YOU DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND YOUR CAR STALLED?" TO WHICH I REPLIED THAT IT WAS CURIOUS SHE ASKED ME THAT AS IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. I ASKED HER IF IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND SHE SAID NO SHE WAS JUST REQUIRED TO ASK THE QUESTION. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE FOLLOWING CODES WERE NOTED: P2302, P2305, P2308, P2311. INTERMITTENT AOD AND B FEED CIRCUITS F3 3. THE DEALERSHIP FLASHED THE PCM, INSPECTED, REPAIRED THE PDC CONNECTOR C4 TERMINAL PUSHOUTS ON PINS 15 & 18. BUT AFTER READING THE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HERE, I WAS NOT CONVINCED THAT THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. I CONTACTED MY FRIEND AND SALES PERSON WHO'S FATHER OWNED THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY ASSISTED US WITH A VEHICLE TRADE AS HAVING YOUR CAR DIE AND LOSE STEERING AT 66MPH IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I AM AMAZED AT THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE WHICH HAS FAILED TO RAISE ALARM FOR BOTH CHRYSLER AND NHTSA....I GUESS SOMEONE HAS TO DIE FIRST DUE TO THIS ISSUE...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 74 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND LEG INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EXAMINED TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HOME AND THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTINUED TO RUN, BUT NO ENGINE. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. SHE MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. SHE WAITED ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND DRIVE HOME ( ABOUT 10 MILES). I DROVE THE CAR TO WORK AND BACK ( ABOUT 24 MILES ROUND TRIP ) THE NEXT DAY WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I DROVE THE CAR THE NEXT DAY TO WORK AND IT HAPPENED TWO TIMES TO ME BEFORE I GOT TO WORK. I CALLED THE DEALER TO HAVE IT TOWED IN. I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS WHEN I FOUND THIS WEBSITE. I SAW A COMPLAINT FROM SOMEONE IN LAKEWOOD CALIFORNIA THAT LISTED A RECALL #, (14113 RO1 RECALL WC 0.50 TO REPROGRAM THE PCM (POWER CONTROL MODULE) AND THE TCM (TRANS CONTROL MODULE)) SO WHEN WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER I GAVE THEM THIS INFORMATION. THEY HAD THE CAR 5 DAYS AND TEST DROVE IT SEVERAL TIMES. THEY SAID THEY DID THE REPROGRAMMING AND ALSO SECURED A WIRING HARNESS ( WHICH WAS ALSO MENTIONED IN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS) ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF OTHER UPDATES THAT WERE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. WE HAVE THE CAR BACK NOW, TIME AND MILES WILL TELL IF THIS WAS THE SOLUTION OR NOT.
DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT COOPERATING.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY AT APPROX 65 MPH MY VEHICLE CUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. I LOST ALL POWER. I WAS ABLE TO MANUEVER TO THE SHOULDER AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRANSMISSION FAILURE LIGHT CAME ON. IT TOOK SEVERAL MINUTES TURNING VEHICLE ON AND OFF AND TRYING TO SHIFT BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD COME ON AND SHIFT INTO DRIVE. THIS OCCURED ON TWO OTHER OCCASSIONS. THE LAST TIME ALMOST RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE WAY OF CARS COMING BEHIND ME.
SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT OF THE FRONT WINDOW DEFROSTER AIR VENT WHILE DRIVING. THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS ON A LOW SETTING AT THE TIME AND SET ON DEFROST.
HAD A DOCTOR'S APPT. LEAVING HOME 2MIN. INTO DRIVE CAR DIDN'T GO OVER 5MI. STOPPED CAR RAN THROW GEARS UNTIL I FELT IT CATCH ,BRAKES FADE SITTING AT A LIGHT , CAR SPEEDS UP GOING DOWN HILL ,SMELL OF BURNING WIRES 6/28/2015 .

THE CONTACT STATED THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCE A FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL WELL I GUESS I'LL JOIN IN WITH THE REST. MY 200 IS JUST ABOUT A YEAR OLD. I HAVE JUST A LITTLE OVER 10,000 MILES ON IT. BEEN BACK TO DEALER TWICE WITH SAME PROBLEM. SPEEDS UP WHEN BRAKING AT ABOUT 35 MPH. THEN WHEN ACCELERATING ENGINE DIES AND VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN....THEN SPEEDS UP. 1ST TIME THEY DOWNLOADED AN UPDATE... 2ND TIME THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG THAT THEY COULD FIND. (ACCORDING TO DIAGNOSTIC CODES) I LIKE MY CAR.. LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY FINALLY GET A FIX FOR THIS. THIS IS ON RURAL COUNTRY ROADS MOUNTAINOUS AND HILLY. ITBIS DANGEROUS.
TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2015 CHRYSLER 200 LIMITED FROM ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND JERKED. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S HEAD STRUCK THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND SHE WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS. THE CONTACT WAS AWAKENED BY EYEWITNESSES HITTING THE WINDOW TO ALERT HER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AS THE CABIN FILLED WITH SMOKE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND SHE FELT A BURNING SENSATION ON HER LEFT LEG. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF FIRE WAS PRESENT AS SHE WAS TRANSPORTED AWAY BY AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED FRACTURES TO HER LEFT AND RIGHT FEET AND ANKLES, AS WELL AS THIRD DEGREE BURS ON HER LEFT LEG, BRUISES TO HER RIBS, STERNUM, AND LEFT SHOULDER. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THERE WERE INJURIES TO THE OTHER VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS UNAWARE OF THE DIAGNOSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED HER THAT THE CHRYSLER 200 HAD MANY RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR SOLD THE VEHICLE FOR SALVAGE BEFORE THEY COULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE DRIVING THE DRIVE SHAFT CAME OUT CAUSING THE ENTIRE WHEEL TO DISCONNECT AND SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSING THE FRAME TO COLLAPSE ONTO THE TIRE OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I HAD THIS CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP (TATE DODGE) WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND IT IS STILL THERE SINCE THE INCIDENT ON AUGUST 1ST BECAUSE I WILL NOT DRIVE IT AS I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY SHIFT OUT OF THE DRIVE POSITION AND AN ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
WHILE ON VACATION, I WAS TRAVELLING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH. SUDDENLY THE ACCELERATOR ON MY RECENTLY LEASED 2015 CHRYSLER 200 SOMEHOW DECOUPLED WITH THE DRIVE TRAIN. THE D IN MY DASHBOARD STARTED FLASHING AND THE CAR BEGAN COASTING. THE ENGINE WAS ON, AND I HAD POWER STEERING, BUT NO ACCELERATION. EVENTUALLY THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THEY HELPED ME RENT A CAR AND I CONTINUED MY VACATION. THEY REPLACED A FAULTY CRANK SENSOR AND I RETURNED TO PICK THE CAR UP A WEEK LATER. BUT BEFORE ID EVEN DRIVEN 30 MILES, I EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. AS THE D IN THE DASHBOARD FLASHED, THE CAR ESSENTIALLY WENT INTO NEUTRAL AND BEGAN COASTING DOWN THE FREEWAY. I ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT GETTING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY HEART WAS RACING AFTER THIS HORRIFIC AND EXASPERATING EXPERIENCE. CHRYSLER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TOWED THE CAR TO A NEARBY DEALERSHIP THAT COULDNT RECREATE THE PROBLEM, SO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR HAD IT RETURNED TO THEM. THEY KEPT MY CAR IN THE SHOP FOR A FULL WEEK, EVENTUALLY REPLACING THE PMC. I PICKED UP MY REPAIRED CAR, BUT LO AND BEHOLD, BEFORE I HAD DRIVEN MUCH MORE THAN 20 MILES, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED FOR A THIRD TIME, BUT THIS TIME ON A SURFACE ROAD. I COULD NOT PUT THE CAR IN PARK BECAUSE THE GEAR SYSTEM WAS LOCKED UP. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED HE HAD A HARD TIME WITH IT BECAUSE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD NOT RELEASE, AND THE WHEELS WOULD NOT ROLL. I COULDN'T MOVE THIS CAR IF I WANTED TO. I COULDN'T OPEN THE TRUNK, LOCK THE DOORS, USE FLASHERS, NOTHING... ANYTHING ELECTRICAL WAS OUT OF COMMISSION. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO COAST INTO A PARKING LOT. I HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AGAIN. THE MANAGER OF THE DEALERSHIP SAID IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, I CAN REPLACE THE CAR OR THEY WILL BUY IT BACK. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN. I WAS LUCKY THE FIRST TIME, BARELY LUCKY THE SECOND TIME, WHO KNOWS WHAT SITUATION I MIGHT BE IN IF I AGREE TO LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN? CAR WAS RETURNED ON 07/30/15 WITH NEW TRANSMISSION. STARTING IN MID NOVEMBER THE CAR BEGAN TO SHIFT HARD AGAIN, CALLED DEALERSHIP AND SCHEDULED CAR FOR SERVICE ON 12/03/15, WAS TOLD CAR WAS FINE PER COMPUTER SYSTEM. ONCE CAR WAS PICKED UP FROM DEALERSHIP AND DRIVEN WE REALIZED CAR WAS STILL SHIFTING AND JERKING HARD. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP ON 12/15/15 WAS TOLD CAR WAS FINE AND THAT THREE OTHER CARS WERE TESTED AND ALL HAD THE SAME SHIFTING ISSUE. ON 7/19/15 I WAS DRIVING MY NEWLY PURCHASED CHRYSLER 200S WITH APPROXIMATELY 10300 MILES. WHILE APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT AT 10MPH, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER AND COASTED TO A STOP WITH A "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" MESSAGE FLASHING ON THE SCREEN. I WAS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT THE CAR OUT OF DRIVE, AND THE GEAR SELECTION WAS BLINKING IN DRIVE. I HAD TO SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAS STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD FOR 15 MINUTES. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED THE TCM MODULE AND RE-FLASHED THE SOFTWARE. ON 7/22/15 I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PICKUP MY CAR. WHILE THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS PULLING THE CAR AROUND, THE CAR'S TRANSMISSION FAILED AND WAS STUCK IN REVERSE THIS TIME, UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF REVERSE. THEY REPROGRAMMED THE VALVE BODY AND PERFORMED A RE-LEARN. I PICKED THE CAR UP 7/23/15 AND WAS ASSURED EVERYTHING WAS FIXED. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 7/24/15 ON THE INTERSTATE (75MPH), THE CARS TRANSMISSION AGAIN FAILED, LEAVING ME WITH NO THROTTLE POWER ON THE INTERSTATE, NEARLY CAUSING A COLLISION WITH A SEMI TRUCK. THE SAME ERROR MESSAGES AS THE FIRST INCIDENT WERE FLASHING ON THE CAR'S SCREEN. I COASTED THE CAR TO THE SITE OF THE INTERSTATE AND SHUT IT OFF COMPLETELY. AFTER 15 MINUTES I RESTARTED THE CAR AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I AM VERY CONCERNED THIS CAR IS GOING TO GET MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE SERIOUSLY INJURED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,985. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECELERATE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND A LOUD TICKING NOISE OCCURRED UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS LATER TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM & FIAT NORTH PHOENIX (LOCATED AT 16406 N 26TH AVE, PHOENIX, AZ 85023) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT CYLINDER NUMBER SIX AND THE WIRE HARNESS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
CAR HAS STALLED OUT ON MULTIPLE RANDOM TIMES. FIRST HAPPENED TO MY BOYFRIEND WHEN HE WAS DRIVING IN TOWN, HE TOLD ME ABOUT IT AND I ASSUMED HE MAYBE DID SOMETHING TO CAUSE THE PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME IT HAS HAPPENED WAS WHEN I WAS IN THE CAR AND MY BOYFRIEND WAS DRIVING IT AGAIN AND IT STALLED OUT AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH NO TRAFFIC AROUND. SINCE THEN, IT HAS DONE IT THREE TIMES IN TOWN IN 25MPH SPEED LIMITS ZONES.AROUND THE SAME TIME THIS WAS HAPPENING, I HAD RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND JUST HAD TO WAIT TILL THAT DAY. I NOTIFIED THE SHOP THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT AND TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM AND THEY ASSUMED THAT THE NEW RECALL FIX WOULD HOPEFULLY AND MAYBE FIX THE PROBLEM. SINCE THEN, IT HAS STALLED OUT FOUR TIMES, AND THREE OF THE TIMES HAPPENED IN THE SAME DAY. THE FIRST STALL OUT WAS IN TOWN AGAIN AND RIGHT AWAY I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP SHOP TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AGAIN AND THERE SOONEST AVAILABILITY WAS ABOUT A MONTH AWAY SO I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THAT. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE NEXT DAY THAT IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND 2 OF THOSE TIMES WERE WITHIN A 10 MINUTE WINDOW AND THIS TIME IT WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH AT THE STALLING TIMES THAT THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO TRAFFIC AROUND ME IN TOWN AND ON THE HIGHWAY, WHERE I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE SAFELY, SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON. THE DEALERSHIP HAS THE CAR STILL, THEY HAVE DRIVEN IT THEMSELVES FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND IT DID NOT HAPPEN TO THEM ONCE AND THEY CANNOT FIND AN ISSUE SO THEY WERE FORCED TO GIVE ME MY CAR BACK. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS ISSUE IS THE STALLING PROBLEM HAPPENS AT RANDOM TIMES& IN DIFFERENT SPEED ZONE AREAS. VERY SCARY THOUGHT TO HAVE WHEN DRIVING ON THE ROAD WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC, TRUCKS, SEMI'S, ETC. BEHIND YOU AND NOT KNOWING IF YOUR CAR IS GOING TO STALL OR NOT THAT DAY OR VERY MUCH TO THAT MINUTE YOU ARE DRIVING.
ENGINE STALLS/SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING JULY 13TH, 2015 WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN, WOULD NOT RE-START RIGHT AWAY. GOT IT RESTARTED. MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO TAKE IT INTO DEALER. WHILE AT THE DEALER THEY SAID THE COMPUTER HAD TO BE RE-PROGRAM WE PICKED THE CAR UP JULY 17TH. AUGUST 4TH 2015 THE SAME THING HAPPENED. IT WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP UNTIL AUGUST 10TH. WHILE IN THE SHOP THE DID MANY TESTS. SAID THEY HAD A SERVICE BULLETIN PINS ON THE COMPUTER BOARD HAD TO BE STRAIGHTENED. REPAIRS WERE MADE AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE PRETTY SURE THEY HAVE RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. WAS NOT REAL COMFORTABLE WITH THAT ANSWER. AUGUST 17TH THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED. THE CAR IS NOW AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME ISSUE. CHECKING ON LINE THIS IS NOT AN ISSOLATED PROBLEM. HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS
ENGINE STALL , WOULD NOT ALLOW TO SHIFT THE CAR GEARS. MY WIFE WAS SO SCARED AND FRUSTRATED AS WELL BECAUSE OF ONGOING TRAFFIC AND WITH OUR CHILDRENS IN THE CAR.
