MAJOR VIBRATION IN RIGHT FRONT WHEEL, TURNS OUT I WAS ALMOST KILLED, THANKFULLY I PULLED OVER THE RACK/PINION ASSEMBLY BROKE! THAT WAS AN OVER THE WEEKEND PROJECT FOR DEALERSHIP. LUCKILY COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! NOW I HAVE A BINDING NOISE IN STEERING COLUMN, AT THE HOOK JOINT INSIDE THE BOOT COVERING JOINT, DEALER GREASED, BUT NOISE IS BACK, FEELS LIKE COLUMN IS GOING TO SNAP! THEY WON'T LOOK AT WITHOUT A CHARGE! ALSO HAVE RATTLE IN DASH, KNOCKING IN BRAKES! I'M REALLY SORRY I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, NOW I KNOW WHY I GOT SUCH A GREAT DEAL! TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND THE SEAT BELTS FAILED TO PROPERLY SECURE THE CONTACT. AS A RESULT, HE STRUCK THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. HE DID NOT NOTICE ANY WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE CONTACT FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 32,000.
2005 300 TOURING- CONSTANTLY PULLING TO RIGHT, CALLED DEALER THEY SAID PROBABLY JUST THE ROAD SURFACE! WELL, DRIVING I-95 THAT MORNING 65 MILES AN HOUR VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING, STEERING WHEEL VIBRATING, HAD TO HOLD STEERING WHEEL TO LEFT TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CAREFULLY PULL TO SHOULDER THINKING WHEEL NUTS OR SOMETHING WAS LOOSE! TO MY SURPRISE I FOUND NOTHING, CALLED DEALER TO BRING IN, "THANK GOD" THEY HAD TO KEEP VEHICLE FOR 4 DAYS-RACK/PINION BROKE ALMOST COMING COMPLETELY OFF! THE STORY CONTINUES, 1 MONTH LATER I AM BATTLING WITH CHRYSLER DUE TO THE STEERING WHEEL NOW BINDING TO LEFT & RIGHT AND THEY WILL NOT COVER!!!!!!HELP ME *TR
VEHICLE STALLS REPEATEDLY AFTER FUELING FOR APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES AND SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND FRIGHTENING BECAUSE IT IS NEVER KNOWN WHEN OR WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL LEAVE YOU DISABLED. MY CAR HAS STALLED MANY, MANY TIMES, ON THE ROAD, AT INTERSECTIONS, IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION, AT STOP LIGHTS, ON RAILROAD TRACKS, ON FREEWAY ON RAMPS AND OFF RAMPS, PARKING LOTS, AND ANYWHERE ELSE IT SO CHOOSES. I TALKED TO MECHANICS AND I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS AND IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE FLAT TOP FUEL TANK DESIGN, REQUIRING THE FUEL TANK TO BE REPLACED, BUT I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT A RECALL. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER BECAUSE I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, MY FAMILY, AND OTHER 300C OWNERS. PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!
THE CAR WOULD START TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY WHILE ACCELERATING SLOWLY AND STALL OUT AT STOPS. THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER WHILE ACCELERATING ONTO HIGHWAY AND MAKE GRINDING NOISES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE DEALER STATES THEY FIND NO CODES BECAUSE THE LIGHT SHUTS OFF BEFORE I GET THERE. *TR
ALMOST 10 MONTHS AGO, I WAS DRIVING IN THE EVENING WITH MY HEADLIGHTS ON WHEN SOMEONE STOPPED ME AND TOLD ME ONE HEADLIGHT WAS OFF. THE HEADLIGHT WAS TURNING OFF AND ON BUT WOULD NOT GO OUT COMPLETELY SO I FIGURED IT WAS JUST LOOSE. THEN THE HEADLIGHTS WERE TAKING TURNS SHUTTING OFF AND ON AND AT TIMES SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS SO I AVOID GOING OUT AT NIGHT. WHEN I COULD GET THE TIME OFF FROM WORK I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE CHRYSLER DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT MODULAR AND IT WOULD BE APPROX.$900+ DOLLARS TO FIX. I CANNOT AFFORD THIS. DEALER SAID TO CHECK WITH CHRYSLER BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A DEFECT AND THEY MAY HAVE HAD A RECALL IN THE PAST. I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND DID NOT KNOW IF THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS. PLEASE HELP ME. *TR
WARNING LIGHT FOR AIR BAGS CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. ON JUNE 1ST 2007 I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL COMPONENT AND WOULD BE COVERED UNDER MY SUPPLEMENTAL WARRANTY. THE REPAIR ORDER LISTS THE FOLLOWING WORK AS BEING PERFORMED: "41706 CLOCKSPRING 2.00 THE TECH READ DTC PRESENT IN THE ORC FOR DRIVER'S SQUIBB 1 OPEN. THE TECH PERFORMED DIAG AS PER SERVICES INFORMATION AND VERIFIED THE FAILURE. THE TECH REMOVED AND REPLACED THE CLOCKSPRING, RECALIBRATED THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR, CLEARED THE DTC AND TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE". ONLY 3 MONTHS LATER IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007 THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT AGAIN STAYED ON. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THIS TIME IT WASN'T AN "ELECTRICAL" PROBLEM BUT THE AIR BAG ITSELF, SINCE MY SUPPLEMENTAL POLICY DID NOT COVER AIR BAGS I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE $650.00 MYSELF. THE DIAGNOSIS ON THE WORK ORDER READ: "46765 FOUND CODE B1B02 IN ORC MODULE 1.00 DIAGNOSED AND FOUND INTERNAL SHORT IN DRIVERS AIRBAG. NEED TO REPLACE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY". THIS CAR HAS 46,000 MILES ON IT AND IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THE AIR BAGS AND I UNDERSTAND THERE HAVE BEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS OTHER THAN MY OWN ABOUT AIRBAG PROBLEMS WITH THIS TYPE VEHICLE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT RELEASE FROM THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THE GEAR SHIFT IS CURRENTLY BEING REPLACED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 39,333. UPDATED 10/09/07. *JB
I HAVE A 2005 300C THAT I BOUGHT IN APRIL 2007, IT ONLY HAD 14425, MILES, WHEN I TESTED DROVE IT, I NOTICE THAT IT WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT, I THOUGHT IT WAS A LOW TIRE, AND I WAS IN LOVE WITH THE CAR FROM THE TIME I SAW IT. AS WEEKS WENT BY AND AFTER PLACING AIR IN ALL TIRES, THE CAR CONTINUED TO PULL TO THE RIGHT. SO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND STATED MY PROBLEM, THEY ASKED ME TO COME IN. I TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM THAT I WAS HAVING AND THEY RECOMMEND A WHEEL ALIGNMENT THAT I PAID FOR. I DROVE IT HOME AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING, PULLING TO THE RIGHT, I CALLED THEM AND MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT, THIS TIME THE SAID IT WAS THE TIRES, SO I REPLACED THE TIRES AND PUT THE GOODYEAR ASSURANCE ON IT, AND AGAIN PAID FOR THAT. I TOOK OFF AGAIN FOR HOME, AND NOTICED THE SAME PROBLEM. I TURNED THE CAR AROUND AND WENT BACK TO THE DEALER, AND TOLD THEM IT WAS NOT FIXED. THEY SAID TO ME THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, AFTER I HAVE SPENT THE MONEY MYSELF TRYING TO REPAIR A PROBLEM WHEN I STILL HAVE BUMPER TO BUMPER COVER, THAT WHEN CHRYSLER COME OUT WITH A FIX I WOULD BE NOTIFIED. THIS IS WRONG, AND CHRYSLER SHOULD REPAIR THE PROBLEM, AND GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY THAT WE HAVE SPENT IN TRYING TO REPAIR SOMETHING THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT. *JB UPDATED 11/26/07
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING AND WHETHER THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL OR LOW IN FUEL. IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST SPORADICALLY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22000 AND 38,000. UPDATED 04/29/14*LJ *TR
I AM THE OWNER OF A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 WHICH SUFFERS FROM ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE UNDER POWER, LEAVING ME WITH NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. IT HAS BEEN INTO THE SHOP FIVE SEPARATE TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM, AND HAS NOT AS YET BEEN REPAIRED. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE MAIN COMPLAINT I AM CONTACTING YOU REGARDING, EVEN THOUGH IT IS IN ITSELF EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. IN THIS INSTANCE, WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ELECTRICAL FAILURE, THE REPAIR TECHNICIAN WAS PULLING IT INTO THE SHOP TO LOOK AT IT, AND THE LEFT FRONT CONTROL ARM ON THE VEHICLE SNAPPED IN TWO. UPON OBSERVATION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE RIGHT FRONT CONTROL ARM WAS SEVERELY BENT AND READY TO SNAP. THE REPLACEMENT CONTROL ARMS ARE TWICE THE THICKNESS, AND TWICE AS HEAVY, AS THE ORIGINAL. THIS IS PROOF BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT THAT CHRYSLER NOT ONLY KNEW THAT THE ORIGINAL CONTROL ARMS WERE DEFECTIVE AND/OR INEFFECTIVE, BUT THAT CHRYSLER CORRECTED THE PROBLEM WITHOUT THE ISSUANCE OF A RECALL FOR THE SAID DEFECTIVE/INEFFECTIVE PART. BREAKING CONTROL ARMS ON THE VEHICLE CONSTITUTE A KNOWN VEHICULAR HAZARD THAT CAN CAUSE INJURY, DEATH, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. I HEREBY REQUEST THAT THE NHTSA CONSIDER THIS A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE SAFETY RECALL FOR THE 2005 CHRYSLER AND ANY OTHER OF THE CHRYSLER VEHICLE(S) WHICH MAY USE THE SAME CONTROL ARMS, PART NUMBER 4782561AE, IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY. THIS DEFECT ENDANGERS NOT ONLY THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS OF THE VEHICLE ITSELF, BUT ALSO OTHER DRIVERS WHO MAY BE IN THE WAY WHEN THE CONTROL ARMS SNAP. WHEN I CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE PROBLEM I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS JUST ?TOO BAD? AND THAT I COULD NOT PROVE I HAD NOT DONE SOMETHING WHICH CAUSED THE PROBLEM. EVEN THOUGH I ADVISED THEM I KNEW THAT THEY HAD REPLACED THEIR INVENTORY WITH BIGGER, STRONGER CONTROL ARMS. UTILIZING THE ?REASONABLE PERSON? LEGAL TENANT, ANY REASONABLE PERSON WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT CHRYSLER IS TRYING TO DENY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. *JB
WE PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C NEW IN MARCH OF 2005, SINCE THAT TIME WE NOTICED THE CAR PULLS TO THE RIGHT, AND OVER SAY SEVERAL MONTHS THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE, I REPLACED TO DRIVER SIDE OUTER TIE ROD END AROUND AUGUST OF 2007, THEN EARLY 2009 THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE, IT'S APRIL 2011 AND I'M ABOUT TO REPLACE THE TIE ROD END FOR A SECOND TIME ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. *TR
ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE HESITATES. TOLD BY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY THAT THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WITH MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300. DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS A CARBON BUILD UP ON THE VALVES AND COMBUSTION CHAMBER THAT CAUSES THE VALVES TO STICK CREATING A MISFIRE. *TR UPDATED 09/18/07 *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C WITH A POTENTIAL CATASTROPHIC DEFECT. DURING A ROUTINE SERVICE CHECK, I INFORMED THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT I DETECTED AN ODOR OF GASOLINE AT THE REAR OF THE CAR. DURING THE INSPECTION, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE GAS TANK WAS LEAKING FROM THE SEAMS AND THAT HE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE GAS TANK WAS REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE. *JB

FAILURE OF FRONT HOOD SUPPORT PISTON AROUND 60K MILES. HOOD NO LONGER STAYS UP ON ITS OWN AFTER BEING OPENED. *TR
MY SHIFT GEAR GOT STUCK AND HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED AND REPAIRED.
I PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 NEW. AFTER 20000 MILES I NOW MUST PURCHASE A COMPLETE NEW SET OF TIRES DUE TO VERY POOR WARE ON THE OEM TIRES. THE OEM TIRES ARE CONTINENTAL CONTISEAL TIRES. THESE TIRES ARE RATED FOR 60000 MILES SO I ONLY OBTAINED 1/3 RD OG THEIR LIFE RATING. CONTENINTAL OFFERED ME A 35% DISCOUNT OFF OF THE PURCHASE OF NEW SET OF THEIR TIRES. UNACCEPTABLE TO ME.
VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND HAVE HAD THREE ALIGNMENTS ON THE VEHICLE AND PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. CASUING STEERING WHEEL TO BE OFF CENTER. CAUSING WEAR ON TIRES.
MY WIFE'S 2005 CHRYSLER 300 AWD PULLS TO THE RIGHT. DEALER SERVICE CENTER TOLD ME ALL TIRES HAVE ABNORMAL WEAR THAT WAS CALLED CUPPING, AND THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE ROTATED THEY ARE IN THE BEST POSITION. ALSO, AN ALIGNMENT CANNOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE OF THE WEAR, BUT ALL TIRES SHOULD BE REPLACED AND QUOTED A GOODYEAR TIRE PRICE OF $650. THE TIRES ARE CONTINENTAL CH95 WITH SEALER. THE CAR HAS APROXIMATELY 18,500 MILES. *AK

ALL FOUR RIMS OR WHEELS ARE PITTED WHERE THE CHROME IS PITTED AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF ALL 4 WHEELS, VEHICLE HAS 20,000 MILES ON IT AND ONLY A YEAR OLD. SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER 3/36,000 BUT CHRYSLER NOT WANTING TO BACK THIS UP AND GET ME NEW WHEELS. I HAVE A 300C WITH A HEMI. *NM

HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE AND HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE OIL USAGE. TO DATE THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO DETERMINE WHERE THE OIL IS GOING. 2005 CHRYSLER 300 CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE TIRES WERE BAD WHEN HE PURCHASED THE CAR AND WANTS TO BE REIMBURSED**CC THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WOULD NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION. THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED THE TIRES WERE SELF SEALING TIRES. *JB

HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND HAD THE TIRES REPLACED WITH AN IDENTICAL SET. THE TIRES WERE ALSO ROTATED. SHORTLY AFTER THE REPAIR, HE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND HAD THE TWO FRONT TIRES REPLACED ALONG WITH A WHEEL ALIGNMENT. A TECHNICIAN FROM THE DEALER ADDED THAT THE TIRES WERE MANUFACTURED DEFECTIVELY. THE CONTACT STILL HAS POSSESSION OF TWO OF THE TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST. I HAD A CAR SEAT INSTALLED IN THE REAR CENTER SEAT WITH THE LATCH ATTACHED. ONE DAY WHEN I TOOK THE CAR SEAT OUT, I NOTICED THAT THE PLASTIC BAR ACROSS THE BELT BUCKLE HAD CRACKED. THIS IS THE PIECE THAT CINCHES THE BELT TIGHT, THEREFORE THE BELT WOULD NO LONGER TIGHTEN DOWN TO HOLD THE CAR SEAT. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THIS HAD BEEN BROKEN, SINCE I HAD THE LATCH IN PLACE. I MOVED THE CAR SEAT TO ANOTHER SEAT AND HAD THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE CENTER SEAT BELT. THE SEAT BELT WHERE I MOVED THE CAR SEAT TO BROKE. I THEN HAD ANOTHER CAR SEAT IN THE CENTER REAR AND THAT ONE BROKE. EACH TIME IT IS THE PLASTIC BAR ON THE BUCKLE. I HAVE HAD THREE SEAT BELTS REPLACED ON THIS CAR AND ONE OF THEM BEING A BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT. THE DEALERSHIP AND THE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THEY COULDN'T HAD TO FIND A SOLUTION, THEREFORE NO ONE IS WILLING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER ALSO TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO USE THE LOCKING CLIPS THAT COME WITH THE CAR SEATS BECAUSE THE SEAT BELTS AREN'T DESIGNED TO MAINTAIN THE TENSION OF HOLDING A CAR SEAT IN PLACE. IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL IT STATES, "THE PASSENGER SEAT BELTS ARE EQUIPPED WITH CLINCHING LATCH PLATES WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO KEEP THE LAP PORTION TIGHT AROUND THE CHILD RESTRAINT SO THAT IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO USE A LOCKING CLIP." THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO BLAME ME FOR THEIR EQUIPMENT FAILURE. *JB

I LEASED A 2005 300 C IN DECEMBER 2005. CURRENTLY, AS OF JANUARY 2007, I HAVE 14000 MILES ON IT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER BECAUSE IT IS PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND IT SHAKES AT 65 MPH. CHRYSLER 300 C RIGHT FRONT HID MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING, CHRYSLER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX AFTER 3 TRIES. LIGHT KEEPS GOING OFF AND ON.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THE LIGHTS TURN OFF AND TURN BACK ON. THIS HAS OCCUR ON MANY TIMES. I RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY SUPPOSE TO HAD THE ECU. THAT WORK FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300 LIMITED WITH 41,000 MILES HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. THE LATEST PROBLEM IS WITH THE KEYLESS REMOTE ENTRY KEYFOBS. BOTH FOBS NOW DO NOT WORK. THE CONTROL PANEL INDICATED THE BATTERY WAS LOW. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, THE PANEL STILL INDICATED THE BATTERY WAS LOW. AFTER OPENING THE SPARE FOB TO REPLACE ITS BATTERY, FOUND THE HOUSING THAT HOLDS THE BATTERY HAD COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE CIRCUIT BOARD. TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DEALERSHIP, WHERE ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME SINCE MY CAR WAS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY (THE CAR IS ONLY A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS OLD), I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $311 FOR TWO NEW KEY FOBS AND PROGRAMMING. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM DEALING WITH LOCKING THE CAR, AND THEN UNLOCKING IT THROUGH THE DOOR, LETTING THE HORN SOUND AND THE LIGHTS FLASH, LOOKING AS IF I AM STEALING MY OWN CAR UNTIL I CAN DROP ALL MY PACKAGES IN MY HAND AND GET IN BEHIND THE WHEEL AND INSERT THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION. OTHER PROBLEMS, AFTER 15,000 MILES, THE CONTINENTAL SELF SEALING TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED. FIGHT FOR THIS PROBLEM WITH CONTINENTAL PEOPLE! AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS AND FAXES, CONTINENTAL DID REPLACE THE TIRES AT A CHARGE OF $250 FOR FOUR NEW TIRES. THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM ON THIS CAR WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE BUTTON WHICH CONTROLS THE VIEW BROKE ALL THREE TIMES. ALL THE SPEAKERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN THE CAR. SINCE IT IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY, THEY CAN'T BE REPLACED AGAIN. THEY SOUND AWFUL AND THAT IS THE WAY THEY HAVE TO STAY UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO UPGRADE MY "PREMIUM" CHRYSLER STEREO SYSTEM WITH A PREMIUM SYSTEM FROM AN ELECTRONIC STORE. THE SUNROOF WAS NOT CLOSING PROPERLY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THEY PERFORMED A "SOFTWARE UPDATE" AND SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE ISSUE. TWO WEEKS LATER, I TOOK THE CAR THROUGH A CAR WASH AND WAS FLOODED WITH WATER COMING THROUGH THE SUNROOF. Z *NM

THE INCIDENT CAUSED A SMALL LACERATION THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HINGES WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE WAS ALSO PRESENT ON THE TRUNK LID. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

I HAVE NOTICED UNUSUAL TIRE WEAR FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS. I JUST BROUGHT MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300 LIMITED IN FOR INSPECTION AND I WAS TOLD ALL FOUR TIRES WERE WORN OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CAR HAS ONLY 24,000 MILES WITH VERY LIMITED DRIVING DUE TO AN EXTENDED ILLNESS. TIRES WERE ROTATED EVERY 6,000 MILES. TIRES ARE CONTINENTAL. OCCURRENCE MOST ACTIVE BETWEEN 15 - 50 MPH INCLUDING SLOWING TO A COMPLETE STOP. ENGINE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THIS FAILURE AND CONTINUES TO BE FUNCTIONAL AND OPERATIVE. ESP/BAS ILLUMINATED AND DID NOT SHUT OFF AFTER FIRST OCCURRENCE. ALL OCCURRENCES THERE AFTER ESP/BAS DOES NOT ILLUMINATE. I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C, THE GAS PEDAL LEVER, WHICH IS MADE OF A COMPOSITE PLASTIC, BROKE OFF WHILE VEHICLE WAS MOVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. HAD THERE NOT BEEN A SHOULDER TO PULL OFF ON, THIS EVENT MAY HAVE CAUSED A FATAL ACCIDENT. VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE AND IS PRESENTLY AT DEALERS UNDER WARRANTY REPAIR. THE GEAR SHIFT GETS STUCK IN PARK POSITION. WE HAVE TO INSERT A INK PEN OR SCREW DRIVER INSIDE THE PANEL IN ORDER TO GET IT ANOTHER GEAR. THIS PROBLEM STARTED IN 2006 BUT IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. YES, THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
EVER SINCE I PURCHASED MY CHRYSLER 300C IN AUGUST OR SEPT OF 2004 IT HAS PULLED TO THE RIGHT. I HAVE HAD THE FRONT END RE-ALIGNED ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE DEALERS ALWAYS OVER-INFLATE THE TIRES TO 35 PSI TO MASK THE PROBLEM. *JB

I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 TOURING EDITION, WHICH I PURCHASED IN NOV. 2004. IN OCT. 2005, I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I WAS EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTIES WITH MY INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKERING. AT THAT TIME, I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY FLASHED THE COMPUTER AND THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED. THEN ABOUT 3-4 MONTHS AGO, I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I WAS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY STEREO. THERE ARE TIMES THAT I GET INTO MY CAR AND I DO NOT HAVE SOUND AND NONE OF THE FUNCTIONS WILL WORK. I THEN HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN THE STEREO OFF AND BACK ON FOR IT TO WORK. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT OCCURRING AT THAT TIME, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. WELL THIS PAST SUNDAY I WAS DRIVING LATE AT NIGHT, AND ALL OF MY LIGHTS WENT COMPLETELY OUT, AND EVERYTHING ON THE DASH WENT OUT. MY SPEEDOMETER AND GAUGES WENT TO ZERO, THEN WARNING INDICATORS STARTED FLASHING. ONCE AGAIN, I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD THAT SEVERAL CODES WERE STORED IN THE COMPUTER BUT AT THAT TIME THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T SURE OF THE EXACT PROBLEM.
