ON THE MORNING OF MARCH 14, 2015 THE CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT FULL SPEED ON A FOUR LANE HWY. MY WIFE HAD TO PULL TO MEDIAN TO RESTART CAR. *TR
ON MORNING OF MARCH 13, 2015 CAR STALLED WHILE PULLING INTO HIGHWAY FROM DRIVEWAY. THIS REQUIRED HAVING TO QUICKLY PULL OVER TO RESTART CAR. ON MORNING OF MARCH 14, 2015 THE CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY. MY WIFE HAD TO QUICKLY PULL TO MEDIAN TO RESTART CAR. *TR
MY CHRYSLER 300C CONSTANTLY SMELL LIKE FUEL. I HAVE TAKEN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALER WHO CLAIMS HE DIDN'T SMELL ANYTHING. NOW MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND I STILL SMELL FUEL. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE THE CHRYSLER EXPERTS ARE NOT HELPING THE SITUATION. HOPEFULLY YOU CAN HELP ME GET IT RESOLVED. I AM NOT ALONE. YOU ANGEL THE FUEL WHETHER THE TANK IS FULL OR NOT. MY WIFE WENT TO SANTA ROSE TO VISIT HER SISTER, PARKED THE CAR IN DRIVE WAY LATER THAT DAY WENT TO GO OUT AGAIN THE CAR WOULD NOT START. CALLED AAA TO HELP OUT THE MAN COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. I HAD TO RENT A TRAILER TO BRING IT HOME 50+ MILES AWAY FROM WHERE WE LIVE. MY MECHANIC FOUND THAT THE IGNITION WAS DEAD BUT THE BATTER WAS CHARGED. HIS TEST BROUGHT HIM TO LOOK AT THE (WIN AND THE (PCM )AS BEING THE ISSUE AT HAND. WE HAVE GRAND CHILDREN AND SHE LOOKS AFTER THEN, THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM THEN JUST A PAIN IN THE [XXX]. I OWN A 2009 CHRYSLER 300C IS EXHIBITING THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES. STALL IS LEADING TO UNNECESSARY ENDANGERMENT OF MY AND OTHER HIGHWAY USERS' SURVIVABILITY. THIS AUTOMATICALLY RAISES THE RISK OF DEATH FOR CONSUMERS UTILIZING THE ROADWAYS BE IT TWO LANE OR MULTI- LANES, CITY OR RURAL ROADS. MY 2009 CHRYSLER 300C IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HIGH PERFORMANCE VEHICLE AND THESE DEFICIENCIES ONLY ADD INSULT TO INJURY. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE EXCUSE OF "WE DON'T KNOW" WILL SATISFY THE FAMILY OF A LOVED ONE LOST IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. I REQUEST A FAIL-SAFE PROTECTION WHEN THE FOLLOWING DEFECTS EXIST, I.E. STALL, SUDDEN SHUTDOWN, LOSS OF POWER, AND IN TRAFFIC APPEARS OUT OF THE ORDINARY. CHRYSLER IS EXPLICABLY COMPOUNDS THIS STALL SAFETY PROBLEM BY NOT PROVIDING THE MOST EFFICIENT MECHANICAL EXPERTISE AVAILABLE AND SWIFTLY CORRECT THIS SAFETY ISSUE AS AN ISSUE TO CONSUMERS FOR SATISFACTORY OF THIS SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE PERFORMED THE INITIAL RISK ASSESSMENTS AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS THAT MAY ARISE DURING THE EXECUTION OF MECHANICAL MALFUNCTIONS OF MY 2009 CHRYSLER 300C. THE IGNITION IS EITHER LOOSE AND NOT COMMUNICATION WITH THE OTHER COMPONENTS TO PROPERLY OPERATE THE VEHICLES AND CONTINUE TO SHUT OFF, STALL, STOP, ETC. ETC. ETC. I OWN A 2009 CHRYSLER 300C, WHICH HAS BEEN HAVING CONSISTENT PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE BUSY HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE IS STALLING, QUITTING, NOT STARTING ON THE FIRST TRY, FAIL TO KEEP RUNNING ONCE STARTED, OR COMPLETELY STOP ON ITS OWN RECOGNIZANCE. I FEEL UNPROTECTED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF AND COULD CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY. THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS VEHICLE AND ITS EQUIPMENT IS LEADING ME INTO UNREASONABLE ANXIETY FOR MY SAFETY DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOPPING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, LEADING TO NO STEERING POWER, NO ELECTRIC SIGNALS, AND GRAVE POSSIBILITY OF DEATH. MY CHRYSLER 300 KEEPS LOOSING POWER. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH THE VEHICLE DECIDES TO LOSE ITS ELECTRICAL POWER AND THE ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. THERE WAS NO BRAKING POWER, THE STEERING HAD NO PLAY BUT I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD IN MEDIUM TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE THE KEYLESS IGNITION SYSTEM HAS A HORRIFIC DEFECT. IT IS LOSING CONTACT. THE DOUBLE SIDED INTEGRATED KEY, I BELIEVE, IS LOSING CONTACT WITH THE INTEGRAL IGNITION SWITCH WHICH ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO INCONSISTENT STARTING PROCEDURE. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY CHRYSLER 300 DIED WHILE I WAS ACCELERATING INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC GOING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE JUST CUT ITSELF OFF. IT LOST POWER TO THE ENGINE, I LOST MY POWER STEERING, NOR COULD I BRAKE. I WAS CLOSE TO BEING SLAMMED IN THE REAR. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER IT TO THE EDGE OF THE FREEWAY BECAUSE I WAS LUCKILY IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE. IT TOOK SEVERAL TRIES TO GET THE MOTOR TO RESTART. THIS POWER LOSS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND IS VERY FRIGHTENING. FROM TIME TO TIME I MUST CONTINUE TO TURN THE IGNITION TO THE START POSITION. IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS PLAY WITHIN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND NO CONTACT IS MADE PREVENTING IT TO POWER ON. *TR
TRUCK MOVED INTO MY LANE, TRIED TO HONK HORN(S) BUT FAILED TO WORK. ONCE IN A QUIET PLACE, DISCOVERED HORN MAKES A VERY FAINT NOISE BUT NO HONK AND NO VOLUME FROM EITHER HORN. THE FACT THAT IT MAKES A FAINT NOISE MEANS IT IS GETTING ELECTRIC SIGNAL BUT FAILING TO WORK AS IT SHOULD. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, PUT MY LIFE IN DANGER AND NOW WON'T PASS INSPECTION. HORN NOT WORKING WITH ENGINE OFF IS ALSO DANGEROUS IN PARKING SITUATIONS. *TR
WIN MODULE FAILURE, KEY STICKS IN IGNITION AND WILL NOT RELEASE KEY IN OFF POSITION.
CAR WILL NOT START WHEN IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED ON. THE ALARM THAT INDICATES DOOR IS OPEN STILL WORKS BUT THE CAR WILL NOT OPERATE ANY OTHER ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS LIKE THE WINDOWS, RADIO, LIGHTS, ETC. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THAT NO RECALL EXISTED FOR THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, I THINK THIS IS A PROBLEM OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS MATTER INVESTIGATED AND RESOLVED, IF POSSIBLE. *TR
MY VEHICLE STALLED WHILE TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY. I HAD TO COAST TO A STOP AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. IT HAS STALLED MANY TIMES ON ME WHILE AT A LOW SPEED. USUALLY IT HAPPENS WHILE TURNING CORNERS, GOING INTO DRIVEWAYS AND SOMETIMES AT STOPS. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN INVOLVED IN ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF IT STALLING WHILE TURNING. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE HAD A MYRIAD OF THINGS FIXED BUT TO NO AVAIL IT STILL DOES THE STALLING. IF YOU KNOW OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE STALLING I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND IF CHRYSLER HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH OTHER VEHICLES. BROKEN ACTUATOR CAUSING RECIRCULATING DOOR TO MALFUNCTION. THIS ALLOWS THE WINDOWS TO FOG UP, HAMPERING VISIBILITY IMMENSELY. WINDOWS WILL NOT CLEAR REGARDLESS OF HEAT SETTING. *TR
GOT IN CAR TO DRIVE, DRIVER SEAT WARM (THOUGHT DUE TO PARKED IN PHOENIX SUN). BUT WITHIN 10 MINUTES UNBEARABLE HEAT DRIVER SEAT, NEEDED 2 PADS TO PROTECT. SEAT HEATER WAS OFF, NO LIGHT, BUT I TOGGLED SWITCH TO SEE IF HELP, IT DID NOT. CAR PARKED AT WORK 15 MINUTES AFTER STARTING JOURNEY. 2 1/2 HRS LATER PERSON IN PARKING LOT NOTED SMOKE COMING FROM INSIDE CAR, CALLED FIRE DEPARTMENT. THEY NOTED INSIDE FULL OF SMOKE AND GLOW UNDER DRIVER SEAT. OPENED DOOR TO EXTINGUISH FIRE AND CAR BURST INTO FLAMES ALA THE MOVIE BACKDRAFT. ENTIRE INTERIOR MELTED. *TR

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON, I CHECKED AND FOUND MY FRONT TIRE LOOKED LOW. I WENT TO UNSCREW THE VALVE CAP AND IT KEPT TURNING, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION I FOUND THE METAL VALVE STEM WAS CRACKED AND THE SCHRADER VALVE WAS ONLY BEING HELD IN BY A BURR FROM THE CRACKED METAL STEM. AT THAT POINT I WAS UNABLE TO PUT ANY AIR INTO THE TIRE. THE POTENTIAL FOR THE SCHRADER TO JUST BLOW OUT OF THE STEM AND CAUSE INSTANT DEFLATION OF THE TIRE IS WHY I AM REPORTING THIS. THE METAL STEMS SEEM TO BE CHEAPLY MADE. *TR
AFTER LEAVING FROM A STOP AND ACCELERATING .... TRANSMISSION "KICKED" ... LIKE IT WASN'T GOING INTO NEXT GEAR. ALL FLUIDS ARE CHECKED EVERY 3,000 MILES. *TR
VEHICLE HAD TROUBLE SHIFTING INTO NEXT GEAR AFTER LEAVING FROM A STOP AND ACCELERATING. THIS OCCURED IN THE BEGINNING GEARS, BUT NOTHING WITH THE HIGHER UP GEARS. TRANSMISSION GETS CHECKED EVERY 3,000 MILES WITH THE OIL CHANGE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR A BRIEF AND WOULD ONLY RESUME AT A LOW SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE FRONT WHEEL SENSORS WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE KEY FOB NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. I HAVE REPLACED PARTS TO MY FRONT END THREE TIMES. THE PART HAS COST ME 125 PLUS LABOR EACH TIME. IM NOT SURE OF THE NAME OF THE PART, BUT U WILL KNOW WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE EVERY TIME U HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR FRONT END IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF. AND I HAVE REPLACED MY THERMOSTAT HOUSING UNIT TWICE, IT LITERALLY MELTED TWICE! *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY CHRYSLER 300C DIED WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC GOING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH. THE VEHICLE JUST CUT ITSELF OFF. IT LOST POWER TO THE ENGINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES SINCE I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE ABS SYSTEM AND THE COMPUTER MODULE WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE BRAKES LOCKED WHEN THEY WERE NOT ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A FOREIGN SUBSTANCE IN THE BRAKE FLUID. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HIM TO HAVE THE INSURANCE COMPANY ANALYZE THE BRAKE FLUID. THE RESULTS OF THE TEST WERE NEGATIVE STATING THAT THERE WAS NO MEASURABLE PETROLEUM OR MOISTURE PRESENT. THE MANUFACTURER DECIDED TO OPEN ITS OWN INVESTIGATION AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM TO NOTIFIED OF HIM OF THE STEPS THAT WERE TAKEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,022.

WHILE TRAVELING 40 MPH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAD SUDDENLY FELL TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL GEAR. THE CONTACT PULLED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL UP FROM THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE AND HEARD A POPPING SOUND. THE CONTACT RESUMED DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHED A SPEED OF 60 MPH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FELL TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE HAD BEGUN TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL EXCESSIVELY WITH HIS FOOT WHICH CAUSED THE PEDAL TO MOVE INTO ITS NORMAL POSITION. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED BY AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE FLOOR MATS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15000.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL AND WOULD DISAPPEAR ONCE THE TIRES WERE "BROKEN IN." THE NOISE CONTINUED WELL OVER THREE MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DIFFERENT DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION STEERING WAS DEFECTIVE. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THE PART TO REPAIR THE STEERING WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL HIM ONCE THE PART ARRIVED AND WOULD ASSUME LIABILITY. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT HOW THE DEALER ALLOWED HIM TO PURCHASE A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT YET BEEN REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CD PLAYER WOULD NOT PLAY A COMPLETE DISC. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,800.
PURCHASED A 2009 CHRYSLER 300 IN FEBRUARY AND ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO BLOW MY HORN WHEN THE CAR WAS NOT ON. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP & THE REPRESENTATIVE WHO WAS GREAT IN TRYING TO GET AN ANSWER FOR ME. SHE OPEN UP A CASE FOR ME WITH YOU ALL.
