I PRESS THE START BUTTON MY CAR AND IT CAME UP SERVICE TRANSMISSION, PLEASE PUT VEHICLE IN PARK, MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ACTIVATED ON THEIR OWN (WHEN THEY WERE IN THE OFF POSITION), MY HEATER CONTINUOUSLY BLEW HOT AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN IT OFF. I HAD TO CRAWL THROUGH THE BACKSEAT OF MY VEHICLE TO OPEN THE TRUNK AND DISCONNECT IT FROM THE BATTERY TO CUT THE VEHICLE OFF. IT ALSO BLIND SPOT DETER FAILED. A FEW MONTHS AGO THIS HAPPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T GO IN PARK, WITH THE SAME ISSUES AND THEY REPLACED MY BATTERY AS WELL AS MY ALTERNATOR BUT THEY SAID IT WAS NOT IN RECALL STATUS. MY CAR IDLED AND ATTEMPTED TO GO BY ITSELF AND I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

VEHICLE HAS SUFFERED FAILURE OF THE AIR BAG SYSTEM ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR A PERIOD OF WEEKS UNTIL IT STAYS ON PERMANENTLY UNTIL REPAIRED BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE DEALERSHIP HAS SAID THAT THE PART REPLACED IS THE SAME AS INDICATED ON RECALL 13V118000, YET, MY VIN DOES NOT APPLY TO THE RECALL. THE CURRENT FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN DUPLICATED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THUS THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT. FURTHER, THE LIGHT WAS ON THE DAY PRIOR TO BRINGING IT IN FOR SERVICE, ON 9/22, YET THE DEALERSHIP FOUND NO CODES. THEY STATE THAT ANY TIME THE LIGHT COMES ON, A CODE IS STORED THAT IS NOT CLEARED UNTIL THE BATTERY IS REMOVED OR THE CODE IS CLEARED BY THEIR DIAGNOSTIC TOOL. THUS THE FINDING OF NO CODES STORED IS TROUBLING, AS THERE WOULD BE NO DISCERNIBLE EVIDENCE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH AS TO WHY THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WAS FAILING PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. CHRYSLER HAS ALREADY REPAIRED THE ISSUE TWICE UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, AND I HAVE PAID THE DEDUCTIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS EACH TIME. THEY CONTINUE TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WITH FAULTY PARTS.
WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED TO STALL. MANAGED TO GET IT TO A PARKING LOT WHERE IT DIED OUT. THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY GOT A NEW ONE TO MOVE FROM THE PARKING LOT. PROCEEDED TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME FROM THE PARKING LOT ABOUT 1 MILE AWAY. IT STARTED TO GIVE OUT AND STALL AGAIN SO I PULLED OVER. POPPED THE HOOD OPEN AND THE ALTANATOR WAS SMOKING SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF. EVEN AFTER I TURNED IT OFF IT STILL SMOKED AND SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS CRACKLINGS LIKE A FIRE LUCKILY IT DID NOT CATCH ON FIRE. MY QUESTION IS IF THERE'S RECALLS ON 2011-2014 CHRYSLER 300 ALTANATORS WHY IS THERE NOT ONE ON MY CAR?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
I WAS DRIVING AT 45 MPH ON HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY ALL THE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CLUSTER WHEN ON THEN THE RADIO WENT OFF, THEN WINDOWS WOULD NOT WORK, DOOR LOCKS WOULD NOT WORK THEN LOST POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES AND ENGINE WAS STILL ON BUT NOT RESPONDING TO GAS PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL IT OFF THE ROAD SAFELY BUT THEN I COULD NOT PUT THE CAR IN PARK OR SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE. THE CAR WAS THEN STARTING TO OVERHEAT AND A BURNING ELECTRICAL SMELL WAS NOTICEABLE. I WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE HOOD AND PULL OUT SOME FUSES TO FINALLY SHUT THE CAR DOWN BEFORE IT POTENTIALLY CAUGHT ON FIRE. I FELL THIS IS AN INHERIT SAFETY DANGE WITH THIS CAR. I SENT DO DEALER TO BE TOLD IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR WHICH IS VERY SCARY THAT THE CAR COULD DO THIS IF THE ALTERNATOR GOES. I SEEN THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY MODEL CAR BUT NOT FOR THE ONE I HAVE BUT SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE PREVIOS RECALL FOR THE ALTERNATORS.
I HAVE EXPERIENCED MY ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT COME ON AND THE MALFUNCTIONING INDICATOR LIGHT BOTH COME . THE VEHICLE LOSES SPEED AND WILL NOT GO IN PARK OR SHUT OFF . THE FUSES IN THE FUSE BOX BECOME EXTREMELY HOT . HAD DIAGNOSTIC DONE AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE REAR SPEED WHEEL SPEED SENSOR . PART WAS REPLACED AND VEHICLE IS DOING THE SAME THING .

WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BY AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS FAULTY. THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

AROUND 3 WEEKS AGO. MY ESC LIGHT CAME ON I WASN'T SURE EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS AT FIRST. I DID A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS INFORMATION ABOUT A RECALL REGARDING ESC LIGHT. SO I CALLED THE RECALL PHONE NUMBER AND THEY CHECKED WITH THE GLENDALE CHRYSLER AND SET ME UP A APPOINTMENT FOR ONE WEEK LATER AT 9AM. THE DAY I WENT TO THE GLENDALE LOCATION WHEN I ARRIVED I WENT UP AND SPOKE WITH THE PERSON WHO WAS HANDLING MY SITUATION. I THOUGHT BEING THAT I HAD THE 9AM APPOINTMENT AND I WAITED ONE WEEK I WOULD BE THE FIRST PRIORITY. INSTEAD SEVERAL PEOPLE WENT AHEAD OF ME AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR TILL 1PM. AT THE END OF EVERYTHING I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED. I FELT AS IF THEY WAS NOT REALLY TRYING TO HELP ME AND TRIED TO COME UP WITH ANOTHER REASON WHY THE LIGHT WAS ON. SO I WENT HOME AND CALLED THE RECALL NUMBER BACK AND EXPLAINED TO THEM I WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION. SO THEY CALLED THE DOWNTOWN LA LOCATION AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART AND THEY CANT ORDER THE PART. THE REPRESENTATIVE THEN CALLED THE INGLEWOOD LOCATION AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD FORWARD THE INFORMATION TO THE SUPERVISOR AND SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT CALL WAS MADE ON WED JULY 15TH AND AS OF TODAY JULY 20TH I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS LIGHT COMING ON CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND I CANT GET ANY HELP WITH FIXING THIS SITUATION.

THE CAR BEGAN TO STALL, LOSING POWER AT AROUND 20MPH. THE FIRST INDICATION OF SOMETHING BEING WRONG WAS THE FAILING OF RADIO, A/C AND DIMMED LIGHTS. THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK, SHAKE, EVENTUALLY COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT WAS PREVENTING SHIFTING FROM DRIVE GEAR TO PARK GEAR. AFTER A FEW MOMENTS, IT ALLOWED SHIFTING TO PARK AND TURNED OFF. INITIALLY THOUGHT THE BATTERY FAILED, SO REPLACED IT. LATER DISCOVERED THE ALTERNATOR WAS COOKED. THEN DETERMINED THE ISSUE WAS RELATED TO A RECALL ON THE ALTERNATOR.
AS I WAS BACKING UP THE CAR, THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION LIGHT CAME ON AND INDICATED THAT IT WAS UNAVAILABLE ON BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE. THEN IT STARTED FLASHING AND DINGING. I TOOK IT TO BE REPAIRED AND BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT SENSOR NEEDED REPLACING DUE TO NOTHING I HAD DONE. THE COST WOULD BE $2090. THE SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED THIS PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED IN DODGE CARAVANS AND CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VANS. IS THIS DUE TO POOR QUALITY PARTS, AND ARE THERE ENOUGH OCCURRENCES THAT THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL? ALTHOUGH THESE SENSORS ARE NOT ESSENTIAL, THEY COME AT GREAT EXPENSE TO HELP MAKE YOUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE MUCH SAFER.

COULD SMELL SOMETHING ELECTRIC BURNING. CAR CUT OFF AND WOULD NOT START HAD TOED TO THE DEALER.

WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY, ABOUT TO LEAVE FOR WORK, DISCOVERED THE SEAT BELT LATCH WOULD NOT WORK. THE INTERNAL MECHANISMS OF THE SEAT BELT LATCH MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE BELT TO BE LATCHED. PERSONALLY DISASSEMBLED THE LATCH AND DISCOVERED THE SPRING HAD DISENGAGED FROM THE METAL LOCK THAT CATCHES THE HOLE ON THE MALE END OF THE BELT.
