FUEL PUMP SHORT CIRCUIT. AFTER PUMPING GAS THE TRUCK WILL NOT TURN ON. SHORT CIRCUIT FROM THE PUMP TO THE STARTER. AFTER TURNING THE KEY TO POWER ON THE TRUCK ALL THE GAS SPILLED FROM UNDERNEATH. I DROVE TO MY KIDS SCHOOL AT 230PM , AFTER LEAVING POWERED ON THE TRUCK TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND THATS WHEN ALL THE GAS SPILLED FROM UNDERNEATH.
PERSISTENT DEAD 12V BATTERY. EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, TRUCK WILL BE DEAD WITHIN 24 HOURS OF NOT BEING DRIVEN. ALL LIGHTS ARE OFF AND KEYS REMOVED. BATTERY WILL BE DEAD IN A LESS THAN A DAY AFTER RUNNING JUST FINE REQUIRES A 2 SECOND JUMP FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE TO START. .
THE OVERHEAD CONTROL MODULE HAS FAILED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. WE ARE BEING ASKED TO COVER IT OUR OF POCKET AGAIN EVEN THOUGH THE PART SHOULD BE UNDER THE 12 MONTH WARRANTY. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE TELLS ME THAT SINCE IT WAS REPLACE UNDER WARRANTY THE LAST TIME (12 MONTHS AGO) OUR CONSUMER WARRANTY GOES BACK TO THE ONE WE PURCHASED THE FIRST TIME IT FAILED AND WON'T COVER IT THIS TIME.
I'M HAVING SEVERAL ISSUES. FIRST, I CANT FILL MY GAS TANK UP ALL THE WAY, IF I DO MY TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF AT ANY GIVEN TIME. ALSO MY DASH BOARD LIGHTS DON'T WORK. I WAS TOLD THE BULB IS SAUTERED TO THE DASH AND THE WHOLE DASH HAS TO BE REPLACED, THAT'S $1300! CURRENTLY, MY MAJOR ISSUE IS, MY TRUCK NOT STARTING!!! I HAVE REPLACED, THE STARTER, THE BATTERY, THE BATTERY CABLES, AND RECENTLY THE ALTERNATOR! I OFTEN NEED TO GET A JUMP AND IT USUALLY TURNS OVER AND WILL RUN FOR A DAY OR TWO BEFORE NEEDING A JUMP AGAIN! I HAVE READ REVIEWS ABOUT THIS VEHICLE, AND SOO MANY OF US ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD DO A RECALL CONCERNING THIS MATTER AND KEEP A GOOD QUALITY STANDARD RATING WITH THE PEOPLE THAT TRUST IN THEIR NAME!
2009 CHRYSLER ASPEN HYBRID HAS 3 RECALLS. THE FIRST RECALL UPDATE WASN'T SUCCESSFULLY DONE AND SUBSEQUENTLY I CANT GET THE OTHER 2, S43 AND S92 RECALLS ADDRESSED. FOR SEVERAL YEARS PRIOR TO P48 RECALL, MY TRUCK WOULD DROP DEAD WHILE DRIVING AND THE DEALERSHIP COULD NEVER DIAGNOSE WHY THE TRUCK WAS DOING SO. THERE IS AN EXTENSIVE HISTORY. THE TRUCK DROPPED DEAD 11/24/2014, DEALERSHIP UPLOADED A SOFTWARE A DAY LATER IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIX DROP DEAD ISSUE. IT WORKED ONLY 2 MONTHS AFTER THE UPDATE. IT DROPPED DEAD AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT SAT UNFIXED FOR 10 MONTHS. THEY THEN SAID THE SOFTWARE UPDATE COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM AND I REPLIED THEN THE SOFTWARE UP DATE WAS THE FINAL CAUSE FOR THE DEATH OF THE VEHICLE. WHY DID YOU UPLOAD IF IT WASN'T GOING TO FIX. THEY REFUSED TO LOOK FURTHER BECAUSE THE AREA SERVICE MANAGER IN A MEETING WITH MR. LOPERNA STATED THE TRUCK HAD 148,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX FURTHER DUE TO MILEAGE THEN WENT ON TO SAY IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY IGNORING THE FACT THE TRUCK HAD BEEN DROPPING DEAD FOR YEARS WITHOUT THEM BEING ABLE TO DIAGNOSE. I WAS IN MOTION EVERY TIME THE TRUCK FELL DEAD AND THE DROP DEAD ISSUE STARTED A FEW MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOTED EVERY TIME THE TRUCK DROPPED DEAD AND WAS TOWED IN FOR SERVICE AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG. I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MANY HYBRID TRUCKS HAVE BEEN FIXED? I AM ALSO CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW CAN SOMEONE REFUSE TO FIX A RECALL DUE TO MILEAGE. I HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO ANYONE IN LEADERSHIP AT CHRYSLER ALTHOUGH I HAVE WRITTEN 25 LETTERS AND ADDRESSED TO EACH INDIVIDUAL. I AM NOT ABLE TO GET PAST THE CALL CENTER FOR HELP.
I HAVE A 2009 CHRYSLER ASPEN THAT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE THE END OF FEBRUARY WHEN THE TRUCK DROPPED DEAD FOR THE LAST TIME. AROUND SIX MONTHS INTO MY OWNERSHIP THE VEHICLE STARTED DROPPING DEAD AT AROUND 65 MPH. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN SHOP SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE BUMP AND STOP AND DROP DEAD ISSUE. THERE WAS A RECALL OCTOBER OF 2014 THAT I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF. I LEARNED ABOUT A RECALL 11/26/2014 FROM THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHEN THE TRUCK WAS THERE FOR SERVICE AFTER DROPPING DEAD 11/24/2014. AFTER THE DEALERSHIP LOGGED INTO THE SYSTEM THAT A RECALL WAS SATISFIED, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM CHRYSLER A WEEK LATER. THE DEALERSHIP UPLOADED A SOFTWARE AS PER THE RECALL TO PREVENT FURTHER DROP DEAD ISSUES AND TO KEEP THE HYBRID BATTERY FROM GOING DEAD. THAT RECALL IS 5 YEARS LATE BECAUSE MY TRUCK HAS HAD THOSE SYMPTOMS SINCE I PURCHASED. THE SOFTWARE WAS UPLOADED 11/26/2014, THE TRUCK DROPPED DEAD AGAIN THE END OF FEBRUARY AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP NOT FIXED SINCE. HAVING MADE TONS OF CALLS TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSIST, I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL CLERKS THAT HAVE SAID THE HYBRID IS NEW AND THEY DON'T HAVE KNOWLEDGE REGARDING IT. I WAS ASSIGNED A CASE MANAGER THAT DID NOTHING AND BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE DID NOT ESCALATE MY CONCERNS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD ALL OF MY LETTERS ARE IN THE SYSTEM WHICH IS A TOTAL OF 24 LETTERS TO DIFFERENT LEADERS IN CHRYSLER TO GET HELP. I HAVE AN EMAIL THAT STATED AT THE POINT THE VEHICLE IS BEING FIXED THEY WOULD REIMBURSE MY RENTAL CAR FEES. I AM STILL IN A RENTAL CAR AND THEY HAVE YET TO REIMBURSE ANYTHING. I HAVE YET TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH A MANAGER OR ANYONE IN A LEADERSHIP ROLE. CHRYSLER IS AND HAS BEEN IGNORING ME DESPITE RECEIVING SEVERAL LETTERS AND PHONE CALLS FROM ME AND 2 RECENT LETTERS FROM MY ATTORNEY. I AM TOLD THE HYBRID NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND IT COSTS $15,000. TO REPLACE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHRYSLER ASPEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRIP COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRIP COMPUTER. TWO WEEKS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE TRIP COMPUTER ILLUMINATED RED AND MALFUNCTIONED. THE TRIP COMPUTER ALSO CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DIE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THE MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED TAKING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
