Back window glass of the soft top, became unglued and is leaking into the vehicle when it rains. Seems like a fault to me as the top itself is still in great condition.

THE GLASS WINDOW IN THE CONVERTIBLE ROOF HAS COME LOOSE ALLOWING WATER TO ENTER THE CAR AND DAMAGE ELECTRONICS. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IF IT FELL OFF DRIVING IT COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE!
2005 CROSSFIRE REAR WINDOW SEPERATED
2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE,40000 MILES, PURCHASED NEW FROM A NEW YORK CHRYSLER DEALER. THE REAR GLASS WINDOW HAS SEPARATED FROM THE FABRIC TOP. THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR CARS HAVE A HISTORY OF THE SAME PROBLEM.
CONVERTIBLE TOP REAR WINDOWS DETACHMENT IN FLORIDA VEHICLE
REAR WINDOW DETACHED WHILE SITTING IN GARAGE IN TENNESSEE. PURCHASED IN KENTUCKY AS THE 2ND OWNER. HAS ONLY 32500 MILES ON VEHICLE. APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM. HAD TO REPLACE IGNITION THREE YEARS AGO AT ONLY 28,000 MILES. ANOTHER COMMONLY REPORTED PROBLEM. PITIFUL WITH WELL-CARED FOR VEHICLE.
CAR WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AND BACK GLASS FELL OUT AND BROKE WE HAD REPLACED THIS TOP ONCE WITH OUR MONEY AS CHRYSLER AND NHTSA WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT THIS CAR HAS HAD RECALLS ON THIS PROBLEM OF THE GLASS FALLING OUT AND THE GLUE FAILURES BUT IT SEEMS ONLY CERTAIN CARS ARE REPAIRED THIS CAR HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE SINCE THE NEW TOP WAS INSTALLED AND WE TOOK IT OUT FOR A FEW DAYS AND THE GLUE LET LOOSE WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET CHRYSLER OR NHTSA TO FIX THIS
THE REAR WINDOW ATTACHED TO CONVERTIBLE TOP FELL OUT
THE WAS CAR PARKED AND I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE THE CAR FROM THE PARKING LOT AND THE REAR GLASS FELL OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAFETY PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD WIND NOISE AND THE REAR WINDOW SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE TOP WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME AND THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT DEFECTIVE GLUE USED WAS BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED, BUT EXPIRED LAST YEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE DID NOT RECEIVE THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, I HEARD A RATTLING NOISE. AS I LOOKED AROUND THE CARS CABIN TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THE NOISE, I SAW THAT MY BACK GLASS PANEL HAS A GAP IN IN IT. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE, THE RATTLING WORSENED AND THE GLASS PANEL WAS BEGINNING TO COME UNDONE. WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION THE GLASS PANEL IS BARELY HOLDING ON.
BACK WINDOW FELL OUT WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT IT FROM COMING COMPLETELY LOOSE WAS THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST WIRES.
IN 2011, THE REAR WINDOW IN MY CONVERTIBLE TOP BECAME UNGLUED FROM THE TOP. CHRYSLER PAID MOST OF THE COST TO REPLACE IT, BUT USED ANOTHER DEFECTIVE TOP AS A REPLACEMENT. AS A RESULT, THE WINDOW IS AGAIN FALLING OUT. CHRYSLER NOW REFUSES TO EVEN DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE DEFECTIVE GLUE IS WELL DOCUMENTED AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS WINDOWS FLYING OUT OF MOVING VEHICLES COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. WHEN THE CONTACT APPROACHED THE VEHICLE, THE REAR WINDOW DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE ENTIRE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
REAR WINDOW COMING FALLING OUT
MY BACK WINDOW ON MY SOFT TOP WAS PLUGGED OUT WHILE AM DRIVING ON MOTORWAY AND I WAS ABLE TO HEAR THE WINDOW COMING OUT OF THE MATERIAL ITS REALLY DANGEROUS HOW DID THEY DESINGED IT TO BE HANGGING LIKE THAT
I CAME OUTSIDE TO FIND THAT THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAD COME LOOSE AND WAS LAYING ON THE REAR DECK BEING HELD TO THE FABRIC IN 1 SMALL PLACE. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED OUTSIDE FOR 1 DAY. LUCKILY IT DIDN'T FALL OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING, POTENTIALLY SHATTERING THE GLASS NEAR MY HEAD. UNTIL THE CAR IS REPAIRED IT IS UNUSABLE IN FOUL WEATHER DUE TO WATER RUNNING IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
REAR GLASS HAS SEPARATED FROM CONVERTIBLE TOP FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
THE REAR WINDOW SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WHILE I HAD THE CAR PARKED OUTDOORS. I FOUND THE CAR WITH THE REAR WINDOW AREA OPEN AND THE GLASS LYING ON THE INTERIOR OF THE BACKLIGHT AREA. THE GLASS REMAINED CONNECTED TO THE TOP BY ABOUT 1/3 OF THE ORIGINAL GLUE. THE REMAINDER HAD COME APART FROM THE GLUE LEAVING THE GLASS MOSTLY DETACHED.
