BOUGHT THE CAR IN JANUARY, 2009, THE CAR STOP ON THE FREEWAY, PUSH ON THE GAS WOULD NOT GO, PEDAL STUCK, THE COOLANT SYSTEMS DO NOT WORK CAR WILL RUN HOT,CALLED CHRYSLER, THEY WERE NO HELP IS THERE ANY THING CAN BE DONE, YOU BUY A CAR AND IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK, ALL CHRYSLER DO IS PASS THE BUCK AS WELL GET STUCK WITH JUNK. *TR
THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON NO MATTER WHAT I DO. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY RESET THE ABS BUT THE PROBLEM CAME BACK A MONTH LATER. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEIR ENGINEERS WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF MY BRAKES ARE IN PROPER WORKING CONDITION IF THE CHRYSLER ENGINEERS CAN'T FIGURE IT? *TR
IN JULY 2009, DURING THE VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTION, THE FIRST SIGNS THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE WAS RUSTED AND EVEN PERFORATED IN SOME PLACES WERE REPORTED. NOW, IT IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE,VIBRATIONS CAN BE FELT WHEN DRIVING AND GREAT CONCERNS ARE MADE ON THIS VEHICLE SAFETY. UPDATED 12/08/14

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. SHE COULD NOT TURN OFF THE LIGHT BECAUSE SHE LOST CONTROL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUNCTIONS. WHILE ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO JUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FAILING. THE DEALER ORDERED THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR, BUT THEY ARE ON BACKORDER. THE CONTACT HAS NOT YET RECEIVED A PRICE QUOTE. SHE IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
I HAVE 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS STICKY. IT BECOMES STICKY WHEN DRIVING SLOWING, SOMETIME YOU WILL BE FORCE TO STEP ON THE PEDAL AND IT WILL TAKEOFF. *TR

THE ABS (ANTI BRAKE SYSTEM) LIGHT STARTED TO COME ON AND STAY ON I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE GARAGE FOR REPAIR THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON I HAVE MADE SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET CONCERNING THAT PROBLEM AND DISCOVER THAT A LOT OF OWNER HAVING THE SAME TYPE OF CAR AS ME (2005 & UP CHRYSLER PACIFICA) ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. ALSO ONE TIME WHEN THE ABS LIGHT WAS ON AND STAYED ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE ABS SYSTEM CAUSE ME TO LOOSE BRAKES FOR A FEW SECONDS WHEN I WAS TRYING TO BRAKE, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY FAILURE AND CHRYSLER SHOULD ADDRESS THAT. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TOURING EDITION AWD WITH APPROXIMATELY 48,000 MILES. THIS PAST WEEK, MY VEHICLE STARTED STALLING AT STOPS. AFTER MY SPOUSE TOOK IT TO A CAR REPAIR FACILITY, THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES. SHE STATED SHE HAD 1/2 TANK OF FUEL SHOWING. I HAD TO RENT A TRAILER TO PICK THE VEHICLE UP AND DROP IT OFF AT THE DEALER. WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE THE FUEL GAUGE WENT FROM 1/2 TO EMPTY. I DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALER AND THEY PERFORMED THE REPAIRS FOR THE STALLING PROBLEM. WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR, THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THEY HAD TO PUT $10 DOLLARS OF FUEL IN IT CAUSE IT WAS SHOWING EMPTY AND THAT THE TANK LOW FUEL LIGHT WAS ON. ACCORDING TO THE TRIP INDICATION OF FUEL MILEAGE, IT SAID I HAD 18 MILES UNTIL EMPTY. I STARTED THE CAR AND THE FUEL GAUGE WENT TO 1/2 TANK! OKAY PROBLEM HERE!! I HAD THE TECHNICIAN PUT IT BACK ON DIAGNOSTIC AND SHOWED NO CODES AND FUEL QUANTITY WAS AT 18 MILES LEFT ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER. I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE GAS STATION AND ATTEMPTED TO FILL THE TANK, IT ONLY TOOK 6.73 GALLONS AND WOULD NOT TAKE ANY MORE. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TANK SENDING UNITS (2EA) THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. LOOKING AT OTHER COMPLAINTS, WE ALL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL AND YEAR. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AWD TOURING EDITION. ALONG WITH MY FUEL QUANTITY PROBLEM, I ALSO HAVE A STALLING PROBLEM NOW. RESEARCHING ON EDMUNDS.COM, IT SEEMS I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN WHEN COMING TO A STOP. SINCE MY FUEL GAGE IS NOT WORKING, I HAVE BEEN USING MY TRIP METER TO GAUGE MILEAGE AND TANK QUANTITY. RIGHT AROUND 110-150 MILES AFTER A FILL-UP, MY VEHICLE STARTS TO SHUT OFF. WHEN I FILL IT, IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT 7-10 GALLONS OF FUEL. THEN IT DRIVES FINE. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY SPOUSE TRANSPORTS THE CHILDREN TO AND FROM SCHOOL ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY WITH ALOT OF TRAFFIC AND MANY STOPS ON THE ROAD. THERE ARE MANY OWNERS OF THIS YEAR THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. IT SEEMS LIKE A MALFUNCTION THAT MAY HAVE TO DUE WITH THE F44 FUEL PUMP AND CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMING RECALL. WE HAD THIS COMPLETED ON THE CAR. NOW WE HAVE PROBLEMS. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THIS IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL. WE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THE RECALL BEING PERFORMED. *TR
I PURCHASED A USED 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WITH 68000 MILES ON IT. A WEEK LATER THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SENSOR BUT IT WAS OK TO DRIVE. MY BRAKES DO NOT BRAKE WELL AND LOCK UP ON ME. I GOT THE PADS REPLACED AND ROTORS SMOOTHED, BUT I AM STILL HAVING THE SENSOR PROBLEM. WHILE LOOKING ON WEBSITES, I NOTICED THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FORCE CHRYSLER TO RECALL THIS SENSOR? *TR
IN OCTOBER 2008 I PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AND I HAVE BEEN HAVING ALOT BRAKING ISSUES SINCE. THE ABS LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY GOING ON AND OFF AND THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT BUMPY AND NON-RESPONSIVE AT TIMES. THIS IS DANGEROUS!!!! I HAVE 8 WEEK OLD TWINS. I WENT ON THE INTERNET TO FIND ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. I HAVE YET TO GO TO THE DEALER WITH THIS BUT AFTER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND I WILL BUT THE ABS SYSTEMS IN THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE PEOPLE GET HURT OR LOSE THEIR LIVES. *TR
MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA DOESN'T GO WHEN I RELEASE THE BRAKE TO DRIVE IT. IT HESITATES AND THEN MOVES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT 2 OF MY MOTOR MOUNTS WERE CRACKED AND THAT'S WHAT WAS CAUSING IT. I TRIED TO GET THE PARTS AND APPARENTLY 250 OF THEM ARE ON BACKORDER. WE HAVE CALLED EVERY DEALERSHIP IN SAN ANTONIO AND SURROUNDING CITIES AND NO DEALER HAS THEM, MANY HAVE TOLD US THAT THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER AND THEY DON'T HAVE A DATE OF WHEN THEY ARE TO BE SHIPPED, (COULD BE MONTHS), NONE OF THIS OF COURSE WAS COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT WE HAVE. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THIS VEHICLE ISN'T THAT OLD AND HAS 68000 MILES ON IT, I AM SHOCKED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE ALREADY CRACKED AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. IF 250 OF THEM ARE ON BACK ORDER, DOESN'T THAT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS VEHICLE AND THE MOUNTS. IT IS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE, LABOR COSTING $500, AND WE CAN'T EVEN GET THE PARTS BECAUSE NO ONE HAS THEM. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE CAR AT TIMES HESITATES TO GO ONCE I RELEASE THE BRAKE AND APPLY THE GAS. I AM CONCERNED THAT OTHER OWNERS ARE FEELING THE SAME WAY I DO, CHEATED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER A HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD. AFTER SHIFTING INTO PARK AND BACK INTO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND LUNGED FORWARD. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FIVE TIMES. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE THROTTLE WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE AND NEEDED TO BE CLEANED OUT EVERY 30,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,508.

I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WITH 38,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE BEEN HEARING A NOISE AS I ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE. ALSO THE ABS LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON. I HEAR A LOUD GRINDING NOISE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE BAD. THE MILEAGE ON THIS CAR IS TOO LOW TO BE HAVING MOTOR MOUNT ISSUES. THIS IS PREDETEMINATION OF THE MOTOR MOUNTS. THEY TELL ME MY WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THIS. THEY SAID IT IS A WEAR AND TEAR ITEM. THIS IS NOT RIGHT CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THIS ITEM. THE DEALER SAYS THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN ON BACK ORDER SINCE DECEMBER 08. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM. I AM HAVING TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH BAD MOTOR MOUNTS. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED AND STATED THAT THEY COULD CALL HER WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
I HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH MY 2005 PACIFICA STALLING, WHILE I AM DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE IDLED ROUGHLY, BUCKED, AND STALLED COMPLETELY. IT HAPPENED BEFORE AND TWO WEED AFTER I HAVE RECALL DONE. DATE OF FAILURES: 2/15/2009 AND 4/11/2009 WHEN I BRING IT BACK TO THE DEALER THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $120 DOLLARS FOR DIAGNOSTIC (4/16/09). CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE ON DECELERATION AND ACCELERATION. AND THE THROTTLE STICKS OCCASIONALLY. WE HAD IT LOOKED AT BY MECHANIC, AND THE MOTOR MOUNT IS CRACKED AND ROTTING, WE ATTEMPTED TO ORDER A MOTOR MOUNT, THE CHRYSLER DEALER SAID THEY HAVE 173 REQUESTS FOR MOTOR MOUNT IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ AND NONE ARE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE. THERE IS A 6 MONTH WAIT BEFORE THEY CAN GET ANY. *TR
FAILURE TO START, A MECHANICAL PART BROKE IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE HAD SO MANY OF THESE PARTS BRAKE THAT IT WOULD BE UNTIL JULY UNTIL THEY CAN GET THE PART. IF THIS IS A FACT I FEEL IT SHOULD BE A RECALLED ITEM AND NOT MY PROBLEM. I AM WITH OUT A CAR FOR TWO MONTHS. *TR
GAS GAUGE DROPS FROM 1/2 TO EMPTY IN SECONDS IF YOU DON'T GET TO A GAS STATION QUICKLY THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF. THERE IS NO WARNING. VEHICLE STILL HAS GAS BUT WILL SHUT OFF. WE HAVE BEEN STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES ON THE INTERSTATE. VERY DANGEROUS FOR A FAMILY. ACCORDING TO SEARCHES I HAVE MADE LOTS OF 2005 PACIFICAS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM STARTING AT AROUND 45,000 MILES. MY ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF I HAVE REPLACED MY WHEELS ROTORS AND PADS ASSUMING THAT IT WAS MY BRAKES THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND SEEMS LIKE MY BRAKES WORKED FINE BUT @TIMES I WOULD GET LIKE A SCRUBBING NOISE SEEM TO BE COMING FROM THE FRONT WHEELS WELL BRAKES ARE GREAT. I HAVE SUSPICION THAT THE 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA'S MOTOR MOUNTS ARE BELOW EXPECTED STANDARDS. I MONITOR MY VEHICLES FOR COMPLAINTS AND RECALLS TO INSURE THAT IF I HAVE TO HAVE WORK DONE ON MY CARS IT IS FOR EXPECTED WEAR AND TEAR OF ANY VEHICLE. IT IS THROUGH THIS MONITORING THAT I HAVE NOTICED THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO EXPERIENCE WHAT SOUNDS LIKE SUBSTANDARD MOTOR MOUNTS. THIS HAS BEEN MY 1ST VEHICLE OF ANY KIND TO REQUIRE REPLACEMENT MOTOR MOUNTS.MY 2005 PACIFICA WITH 73K MILES HAS HAD TO HAVE BOTH MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED. IT SEEMS THAT BEFORE THEY WERE REPLACE THEY WERE NO LONGER FUNCTIONING AND THE MOTOR WAS BEING HELD IN PLACE BY 3 OTHER MINOR MOUNTS. APPARENTLY, THE BACKORDER IS SO BAD THAT IT COULD NOT BE GUARANTEED WITHIN 2 MONTHS. I HAD TO ORDER THEM THROUGH A 3RD PARTY IN ORDER TO REPLACE BEFORE ANY MAJOR DAMAGE WAS CAUSED. THIS RAISES RED FLAGS: ARE THESE FAULTY MOUNTS? DO THEY NO LONGER MAKE THESE MOUNTS FOR OTHER VEHICLES? IF SO, IS IT DUE TO SUBSTANDARD DESIGN? WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN AN INVESTIGATION? *TR
BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS ON MY 05 CHRYSLER PACIFICA,IN READING THE CHRYSLER FORUM, THIS IS A MAJOR COMMON PROBLEM AND A DANGEROUS CONDITION AND THE REPLACEMENT PARTS HAVE BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR "MONTHS" THIS HAS BEEN RECURRING ON ALL PACIFICA'S SINCE 04.AND THE COST FOR PARTS AND LABOR IS OVER $500.00. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE A MAJOR RECALL. MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE MOUNTS ONLY LAST ABOUT 15000 MILES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH IN A RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED TO THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO A FAULTY POWER TRANSFER UNIT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
I JUST WANT TO VOICE MY FEELINGS ON THIS COMPANY (CHRYSLER) CONCERNING THE CHRYSLER PACIFICA 2005 AWD WHY WASN'T THIS CAR RECALLED AS A WHOLE. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP I BOUGHT THIS CAR AS A RELIABLE FAMILY CAR BEING THAT I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF 5. I RESEARCHED THIS CAR TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE THE RIGHT FIT. I HAVE HAD TO BUY 3 BATTERIES FOR THIS CAR WHICH TO ME SEEMS TO BE A LOT. THE CAR BURNED OIL CONSTANTLY AND NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHERE THE OIL WAS GOING, I HAD TO HAVE THE MOTOR MOUNT CHANGED I HAD TO REPLACE THE EGR VALVE FAILED MY EMISSIONS BECAUSE OF IT RIGHT AFTER MEANING SECONDS AFTER IT WAS CHANGED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON WHILE AT THE SHOP SHOWING THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE CHANGED! NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE EGR VALVE BUT I ALSO HAD TO BUY A TWO YEAR WAIVER FOR MY EMISSIONS IN ORDER TO GET MY TABS BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY THAT I WAS GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD A CATALYTIC CONVERTER. GOT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER CHANGED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF FOR ABOUT A MONTH OR SO BUT CAME RIGHT BACK ON. HAD TO GET THE RADIATOR REPAIRED AND NOW THERE IS 5 DIFFERENT CODES POPPING UP P0305, P0404, P0736, P179, AND P0720 IM SURE THESE CODES MEAN NOTHING TO YOU BUT I NEEDED TO ADDRESS. ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA, THE MOTOR MOUNTS SEEM TO BE SUBSTANDARD AND REQUIRE REPLACEMENT AT A HIGHER INTERVAL THAN NORMAL. WHILE THIS MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A HUGE ISSUE INITIALLY, A FAILED MOTOR MOUNT IS A REASON TO REJECT A VEHICLE INSPECTION IN THE STATE OF VA. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR USED 2 YEARS AGO, I NEEDED TO REPLACE A FAILED MOTOR MOUNT, NOW, 2 YEARS LATER AND WITH THE CAR HAVING LESS THAN 65,000 MILES I AM HAVING TO REPLACE A MOTOR MOUNT AGAIN. THE REAL ISSUE NOW SEEMS TO BE THAT CHRYSLER AS A WHOLE IS OUT OF STOCK AS THERE IS A NATIONAL BACKORDER IN EFFECT AT THE MOMENT. THE FACT THAT THIS PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER MAKES ME FEEL AS IF THEY ARE BEING REPLACED BY MANY OTHER PACIFICA OWNERS. MASSIVE VAPORS STARTED TO EMIT FROM MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA ENGINE. HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP IN FOREST PARK, IL. WAS ADVISED THAT ENGINE MOUNTS BROKE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND THE FRONT RIGHT FENDER, HOOD, GRILL AND RIGHT HEADLIGHT WERE SMASHED IN BUT THE FRONT AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. I EXPECTED THEM TO DEPLOY DURING THE CRASH AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ON THE SCENE ALSO EXPECTED THEM TO DEPLOY AT ANY MOMENT AFTER THE CRASH, BUT THEY NEVER DID. *TR
REAR MOTOR MOUNTS SEEM TO BE A BIG ISSUE FOR CHRYSLER PACIFICAS. I HAVE A 2005 TOURING AND WAS TOLD 6 MONTHS AGO THAT I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE MINE. AT THAT TIME, THEY WERE ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER OF OVER 1,900!! I'M SURE THAT NUMBER HAS RISEN GREATLY SINCE JANUARY '09. IF THAT MANY REAR MOTOR MOUNTS ARE ON BACK ORDER, IT WOULD STAND TO REASON THAT THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM WITH THIS PART. WHY WOULD CHRYSLER NOT COVER REPLACING THIS PART UNDER WARRANTY?! I WAS MAKING A 800 MILE TRIP IN MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AND NOTICED THAT THE THROTTLE WAS STARTING TO STICK WHEN MY CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISENGAGED. THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT WAS TO STOMP ON THE GAS PEDAL. I PULLED OVER TO SEE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING STUCK AROUND THE PEDAL OR EVEN THE THROTTLE CABLE BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. THE THROTTLE ONLY STUCK WHEN THE TAC WAS AT AROUND 2700 TO 3000 RPMS. WHEN I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION I GOT ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING POSTED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. TO MY SURPRISE THERE WERE QUITE A FEW AND SOME OF THEM WITHIN THE SAME MILEAGE AND OR CONDITIONS. MOST OF THEM TOOK THERE CAR TO THE DEALER WHO EITHER CHARGED THEM FOR A NEW THROTTLE BODY OR PEDAL ASSEMBLY OR EVEN THE THROTTLE CABLE. I JUST WENT OUT AND LOOKED AT MINE AND DISCOVERED THAT A HOSE THAT CAME FROM THE CARS AIR INTAKE WAS RUBBING AGAINST THE THROTTLE SPRING AND CABLES. I LOOSELY ZIP TIED THE HOSE TO THE ALTERNATORS MOUNTING BRACKET AND HAVEN'T HAD ANOTHER PROBLEM. BUT THE HOSE WAS BEING CUT BY THE CABLE. I CAUGHT MINE BEFORE IT WAS TO BAD. *TR

THE REAR MOTOR ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAS FAILED BY BUSTING UNDER TORQUE LOAD. THIS IS A DEFECTIVE CONDITION FOR THIS PART AS IT IS FLUID FILLED AND CONTINUALLY ALLOWS DAMAGING CONDITIONS TO DEVELOP TO THE ENGINE IF NOT REPAIRED. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AS MANY OWNER HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT IT. THEY CONTINUED TO DO NOTHING. THE PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER AS OF NOW WITH 1900+ OUTSTANDING. I CANNOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM OBVIOUSLY UNTIL THE DEALERS TAKE SHIPMENT OF THE PART. GOOGLE THIS PROBLEM AND YOU WILL SEE IT IS A REAL PROBLEM FOR CHRYSLER OWNERS. OWNERS ARE EVEN CONSIDERING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. CHRYSLER SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS PART AT A MINIMUM. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW (TODAY BEING MOST RECENT). CHRYSLER PACIFICA'S ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WHEN TAKING A LEFT OR CUTTING ACROSS TRAFFIC TO LEFT GOING AT A SLOW SPEED. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND WE HAVE A TODDLER WHO WE ARE CONCERNED WHEN WE DRIVE IN THE CAR. DEALER HAS RUN REPORTS AND CHECKED CAR OUT TWICE AND FOUND NOTHING. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN OCTOBER OF 2008. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKES WERE EXPERIENCING ISSUES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO PERFORM ABNORMALLY AND PRODUCED A WHISTLING SOUND. THE BRAKES ALSO PULSATED AND MADE A GRINDING NOISE AS IF THEY WOULD LOCK UP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE PADS WERE FINE; HOWEVER, THE DEALER INSTALLED CHEAP BRAKE PADS ON THE VEHICLE. THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATES INTERMITTENTLY AND THE CONTACT MUST PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKES WERE REPAIRED AND THE NOISES STOPPED; HOWEVER, THE ABS LIGHT STILL ILLUMINATES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 73,400.

THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED; HOWEVER, THEY STATED THAT HER VIN WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
