WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE FRONT LEFT END VIBRATED. VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, AND TECHNICIAN DETERMINED THAT WHEEL BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK *NM
ENTERPRISE RENTAL, MOUNT KISCO, NY. CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES AT 25 MPH AND PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THERE WAS NO BRAKING ACTION, AND VEHICLE REARENDED ANOTHER. CONSUMER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO VEHICLE UNKNOWN.*AK
SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR 4/13/03 I HAVE HAD BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEMS ON 6/2002,9/23,11/27-3/2003,5/03,9/03,9/18,10/01/03,10/07/03 EACH TIME ADJUSTMENTS, REPAIRS, REPLACEMENT HAVE BEEN DONE. NOW SINCE 9/23/03 ALONG WITH THE BRAKE PROBLEM THAT STILL EXISTING I AM EXPERIENCING VERY A HEAVY,VIBRATION THIS IS FELT WHEN THE CAR IS AT A STANDSTILL CAR CAN EITHER BE IN NEUTRAL OR PARK AND IT FEELS AS THOUGH THERE IS A VIBRATING MECHANISM ATTACHED TO YOUR CAR. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS THEY COULDN'T DETECT ANYTHING ON THEIR SCANNING DEVICE. *LA
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, ENGINE REVS UP REALLY HIGH. CONSUMER CAN BARELY CONTROL CAR, EVEN WITH FOOT ON BRAKES. *AK DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. *TT
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MR
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE BETWEEN 50-60MPH AND TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED ON ITS OWN. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND WAS INFORMED "SMART CAR" HAS TO LEARN DRIVING HABITS OF OWNER.*AK
WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE BEYOND 45MPH VEHICLE FAILS TO KICK IN. VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE SEVERELY. WHEN FOOT IS REMOVED FROM BRAKES, VEHICLE WOULD STOP SHAKING.*AK
IN FEB. 2006 THE FRONT WHEEL FEEL OFF MY 2002 CHRYSLER SEBRING BECAUSE OF A BALL JOINT FAILURE (NON GREASEABLE JOINT). LUCKILY NO ONE WAS KILLED OR INJURED, BUT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN! I HAD THE FRONT JOINTS REPLACED AND OTHER DAMAGE REPAIRED. TWO MONTHS LATER (APRIL 2006) THE BALL JOINTS IN THE REAR OF THE CAR FAILED AND THE REAR WHEEL FELL OFF. AGAIN NO ONE WAS KILLED OR INJURED, BUT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN! *NM
I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING A 2002 CHRYSLER SEBRING LXI AND EVERYTIME WE REACH ABOUT THE SPEED OF 50-65 MPH THE TRANSMISSION SOUNDS LIKE THE OLD BAT MOBILE. IT WHINES AND HAS A REAL LOUD WIND WHISTLE. CAN YOU TELL ME IF YOU HAVE RECIEVED ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLE? I HAVE CONNECTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND THEY SAID THAT IS NORMAL SOUNDS. I HAVE ALSO TAKEN IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND RECIEVED THE SAME RESPONSE. WE CAN'T BELIEVE THAT A COMPANY WOULD MAKE A CAR THAT HAS A BAD WIND NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANMISSION.IT HAS STARTED SLIPPING ON OCCASIONS AND WHEN WE COME TO A STOP IT SHIFTS HARD AND AGAIN THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IS NORMAL.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE, TEMPERATURE IN GARAGE WAS ABOUT 60 DEGREES WHEN DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WINDOW EXPLODED.*AK *SLC
THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE SOUND SYSTEM. SPECIFICALLY, THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO THE BASS SOUND. WHENEVER THE RADIO OR CD IS ON, THERE IS A HORRIBLE BUZZING/DRONING NOISE ACCOMPANIED BY A VIBRATION IN THE SPEAKER PANEL ON THE DOORS. IT IS UNBEARABLE.*AK
AT BROTHERS GRADUATION IN LANSING WHEN THE PROBLEM CAME UP. CALLED HOME DEALERSHIP WHO SAID IT WAS TOO FAR AWAY TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER, WHERE IT TOOK A MONTH TO GET IT FIXED. CHRYSLER SAID THEY WOULD ONLY FIX IT AND WOULD DO NOTHING ELSE UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN. NO SAFETY DEFEC TMENTIONED. *AK
VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, WHILE APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE ROARS UP. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM. *AK *TT
2002 CHRYSLER SEBRING WITH BROKEN BALL JOINT. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE BALL JOINT BROKE AND ALMOST KILLED HIM. HE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF SHE SHOULD FILE A LEMON LAW COMPLAINT. *KB
VEHICLE HAS A FOG HORN SOUND DUE TO BUILD UP IN AIR CONDITIONER'S EXPANSION VALVE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM.*AK
HOOD ASSEMBLY WOULD LOSE BOLTS WHEN OWNER WOULD EITHER RAISE OR SHUT HOOD. OWNER HAS TAKEN VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP ALONG WITH THE BOLTS THAT POPPED OFF. *AK *JG
REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY PULLED THROUGH WHEN OWNER WAS ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL A CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN REAR. OWNER WAS SHOCKED TO FIND OUT THAT SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY WAS NEVER ATTACHED TO AN ANCHOR IN REAR ON ONE SIDE. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
BOLTS ARE POPPING OFF CONVERTIBLE TOP CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK JLG
WINDSHIELD SHOWS A REFECTION OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSES THE DRIVER'S VISION TO BE OBSTRUCTED. HAD TRIED TO ALLEVIATE PROBLEM BY COVERING OR PAINTING IT, BUT PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.*AK
WHEN STOPPING AT A STOP AIR BAG INDICATION LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING, AND PASSENGER'S SIDE AIG BAG DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY. AIR BAG SMASHED THE WINDSHIELD AND CONSOLE. *AK
THERE WAS A SLIGHT VIBRATION AT 60 MPH. THE DRIVER HEARD AN EXPLOSION AND TEMPORARILY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE HAD SEPARATED. THE CAUSE IS UNKNOWN. PLEASE DESCRIBE FURTHER. *NLM
