AIRBAGS LIGHT CAME ON OUTTA NOWHERE, VEHICLE HASN'T BEEN IN A ACCIDENT EITHER. TURNS ON WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
VEHICLE HIT BLACK ICE, FLIPPED AND ROLLED A FEW TIMES. NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED! CHRYSLER WAS IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED AND STILL NO RESPONSE. RECALL ON AIRBAG SENSOR, YET NO RECALL ON AIR BAGS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH NOR WAS THERE ANY IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IMPACT CAUSED HER TO SUSTAIN A BRUISED HAND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
THERE WAS NO INCIDENT, BUT I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY CHRYSLER STOPPED THE RECALL FOR FAULTY AIR BAGS (FRONT SEAT SENSORS?) ON THE 2008. I HAVE A 2009 THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS ILLUMINATING AND BEEPING. I CALLED CHRYSLER, AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE SAYING THAT THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO MY 2009, AND WANTED ALOT OF MONEY FOR ME TO BRING IT IN FOR A DIAGNOSIS. I FEEL THIS IS WRONG. IF THE 2008'S WERE FAULTY, THEN THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE THAT THE 2009'S ARE ALSO. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR FOR 3 MONTHS, AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH IT! *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 2 MPH, THE SEAT BELT INDEPENDENTLY BECAME DISENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT MECHANISM WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,000. UPDATED 06/05/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AS OF 05/15/12 NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SEAT BELT WAS ORDERED ON MAY 9, 2012.
