WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY SPARE TIRE BROKE LOOSE AND FELL OFF LODGING ITSELF UNDER MY TOWN AND COUNTRY MINI VAN. THIS BROUGHT MY CAR TO A HALT WITH NO WARNING BRAKE LIGHTS. CARS HAD TO SWARM ON THE GRASS TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. LUCKILY I WAS IN A NEIGHBORHOOD. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY A LOT OF PEOPLE MAY HAVE DIED, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A PILE UP OF CARS. A TIRE SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED WHERE IT CAN FALL OFF AND CAUSE A SAFETY PROBLEM WHERE LIVES ARE IN JEOPARDY. CHRYSLER WOULD NOT EVEN PUT A NEW BRACKET TO HOLD MY SPARE TIRE. THEY SHOULD BE SO HAPPY THAT NO ONE WAS INJURED AND WILLING TO FIX A DANGEROUS PROBLEM AT NO CHARGE TO ME. RIGHT BEFORE THAT I TOOK MY CAR IN AND SAID TO DO A MULTIPOINT INSPECTION BECAUSE I WAS LEAVING TO GO OUT OF TOWN. I HAD A BRAKE LIGHT OUT AND 3 TIRES THAT NEEDED AIR. THEY GAVE ME THE CAR BACK AND SAID ON PAPERWORK THE INSPECTION WAS DONE. (IF THEY HAD CHECKED WOULD THEY HAVE SEEN MY TIRE PROBLEM?) WHEN I GOT ON THE HIGHWAY MY LIGHT SAID TIRES NEED AIR. I CALLED AND ASKED IF THEY PUT AIR IN MY TIRES AND THEY SAID YES. I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO MY NEIGHBOR AND AIR HAD NOT PUT IN THE TIRES, HAD TO GO TO AN AUTO STORE AND BUY A LIGHT. SOMEONE WAS IN A HURRY AND SIGNED OFF THAT THEY CHECKED MY CAR AND SENT ME ON MY WAY TO TRAVEL UNPREPARED. DUE TO THE LIES OF THE SERVICE CENTER IN ORLANDO THAT I WENT TO AND CHRYSLER UNWILLING TO FIX THE SPARE TIRE PROBLEM, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER AND WILL MAKE SURE I LET PEOPLE KNOW MY EXPERIENCE. THEY SAID NO ONE ELSE HAD A TIRE FALL OFF SO THEY DO NOT SEE IT AS AN ISSUE. SO NOW IT IS ON RECORD, SO IF IT HAPPENS TO SOMEONE ELSE AND A LIFE IS LOST, CHRYSLER DOES KNOW OF THE POTENTIAL PROBLEM.
FUTURA 2000 LTE P215/65TR16 RM6V XAC 3712 I HAVE A RECEIPT DATED 6-18-2016 FOR 2 TIRES INSTALLED ON THE REAR OF MY 2006 TOWN AND COUNTRY VAN. BOTH TIRES HAVE RECENTLY FAILED, TREAD SEPARATION. THE TIRE IN MAY WAS A BLOW OUT AT 70MPH ON INTERSTATE 10, THE NEXT TIRE WAS NOT A BLOWOUT. IN ALL MY LIFE I HAVE NEVER HAD A TIRE BLOW OUT AND NEVER HAD TWO OF THE SAME TIRES FAIL SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. MILEAGE ON MY VAN AT INSTALLATION WAS 102130 AND MILEAGE AT FAILURE WAS 144258 AND THE NEXT TIRE AT 145258. I WOULD LIKE TO BE CONTACTED BY YOUR QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE AND I ALSO WANT MORE THAN THE PATHETIC 25 DOLLAR AND 10 DOLLAR OFF ON REPLACEMENT OF THESE TIRES. WHILE SERVICING A CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE, THE VALVE STEM BROKE CAUSING THE TIRE TO DEFLATE.

STOPPED TO INFLATE TIRES. AS I STARTED TO REMOVE THE LEFT REAR TIRE CAP IT THE STEM BLEW OUT IN MY HAND. I CHANGED THE TIRE BUT THE ADDITIONAL WEIGHT BLEW OUT THE SECOND STEM THIS TIME ON THE LEFT FRONT TIRE. I SHOT INTO THE CURB. BY THE TIME I GOT IT UP ON THE JACK THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE STEM BLEW AND THE RIGHT REAR STARTED TO LOSE AIR. I HAD TO REPLACE 2 SENSORS. THE RIGHT REAR HAD BEEN REPLACED ALREADY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE VALVE STEM EJECTED FROM THE WHEEL. THE CONTACT CHANGED THE TIRE DUE TO A FLAT. A MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VALVE STEM REPLACED SINCE THEY WERE KNOWN TO BE DEFECTIVE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000. VIN NOT AVAILABLE
DISCOVERED THAT VALVE STEM HAD BROKEN OFF. VALVE STEM IS ATTACHED TO TPMS SENSOR AND REPLACEMENT VALVE STEMS ARE NOT OFFERED. THE BREAKING OF THE VALVE STEMS SEEMS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. VERY DISCONCERTING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING, EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT NOTICE UNTIL LATER AND LUCKILY, THE TIRE DID NOT DEFLATE RAPIDLY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO PUT AIR IN OR LET AIR OUT OF ALL FOUR TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE STEMS CONNECTED TO THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WERE MADE OF ALUMINUM AND THAT THEY CORRODE QUICKLY. THE TIRE STEMS WERE NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT REGULAR TIRE STEMS COULD NOT BE PLACED ON THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD REMAIN ILLUMINATED SINCE THE SYSTEM COULD NOT DETECT IT. I HAVE A 06 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY, WITH DEAN QUASAR PLUS TIRES DOT UT6V DK9 0406. NOTICED TODAY THAT ALL FOUR TIRES HAVE SEVERE CRACKING ALONG WHERE THE TREAD AND SIDE WALL MEET. THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS "WEEK" OF TIRE MANUFACTURING THE 0406. THESE TIRES HAVE ONLY BEEN ON THIS VAN FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND A HALF WITH NO MORE THAN 25,000 MILES ON THEM. *TR

A MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS LOW AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A BLISTER ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRES. TREAD HAD BEGAN TO SEPARATE FROM THE TIRES. THE DEALER STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS WERE NOT A FACTOR. NO PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE. THE MECHANIC PROVIDED AN INVOICE. THE DOT NUMBER AND RELATED TIRE INFORMATION WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE FOR THE VEHICLE AND TIRES WERE 10,399. UPDATED 11/06/07.

I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 3 BRIDGESTONE EL42 TIRES DUE TO THEM HAVING SMALL PINHOLES IN THE SIDEWALL. THE FIRST TIRE WAS ON 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY AND THE SECOND AND THIRD TIRES ON A 2006 TOWN & COUNTRY. EACH TIRE HAD SMALL PIN HOLES IN THE SIDEWALL. I TOLD THE BRIDGESTONE DEALER THAT I THOUGHT THE TIRES WERE DEFECTIVE AND THAT THREE TIRES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WAS A LOT MORE THAN COINCIDENTAL. HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE TIRES AND THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR NEW ONES SINCE SIDE WALL LEAKS CANNOT BE REPAIRED. I TOLD HIM THAT BRIDGESTONE DIDN'T RECALL THE FORD EXPLORER TIRES UNTIL FORCED TO. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE, THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE SUDDENLY WENT FLAT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE SLID ACROSS THE INTERSTATE AND HIT A GUARDRAIL. THERE WAS DAMAGE DONE TO THE VEHICLE. THE POLICE WAS AT THE SCENE, BUT A REPORT WAS NOT FILED. A TIRE DEALERSHIP EXAMINED THE TIRE AND DETERMINED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TIRE; HOWEVER THE AIR VALVE ON THE WHEEL WAS LEAKING AIR. THE DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE AIR VALVE.
