THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AND HAD THE BRAKES AND ROTORS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle would lose motive power randomly. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed and repaired; however, the failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags) however, the Vin was not included. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 132,803.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT THAT THE IGNITION CABLES WERE REPLACED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 186,808.
The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that while driving at 30-40 MPH and making a turn, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle inadvertently lost electrical power. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he shifted the gear shifter from neutral back to drive and was able to restart the vehicle to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that an unknown computer module needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the computer module was replaced; however, the failure recurred while driving and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed that no issues were found. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Jim Browne Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Dade City (12020 US-301, Dade City, FL 33525) who diagnosed that the ignition key had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the ignition key was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that whenever the failure recurred, he would put the vehicle in neutral, then drive and attempt to restart the vehicle but the vehicle would only restart after he waited 10-15 minutes. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened; however, the manufacturer closed the case after a while. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 11V139000 (Electrical System) and 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags). The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000.
MY VAN SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET.
THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND MAKING THIS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE INNOCENT PEOPLE CAN BE AT RISK OF ACCIDENT WITHOUT WARNING SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE STEERING OR BRAKES WHEN IT THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN
THE VAN SHUTS DOWN DURING SPEEDS BETWEEN 35-40 MPH. THERE ARE NO WARNING OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, JUST THE TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON AND THE RPM GAUGE GOES TO ZERO. WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN THERE IS NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. TODAY WHEN THE VAN SHUT OFF I WAS ABLE TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL, AND START IT, BUT 20 SECONDS LATER IT SHUT DOWN AGAIN. I ATTEMPTED ONE MORE TIME AND IT STARTED. I QUICKLY SHIFTED INTO DRIVE TO AVOID BEING STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VAN HAS 165,000 MILES. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AND IS INTERMITTENT. MY WIFE AND KIDS AREN'T ABLE TO DRIVE THIS VAN DUE TO THIS SAFETY ISSUE.
TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO GET THE RECALL THAT IS RELATED TO MY WIN MODULE FIXED AT GOLDSTEIN IN LATHAM, NY AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE APPROX. A HOUR AND A HALF. AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF THEY COME OUT AND TELL ME THAT THEY ORDERED THE WRONG PART AND WILL HAVE TO ORDER THE RIGHT PART. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE PART AND I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM.
KEY WILL NOT COME OUT AND THE SHIFTER HAS HUNG UP AND FAIL TO MOVE. *TR
HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE CAR STARTING HAVE TO MESS WITH THE SIFTER TO GET IT TO START ALSO THE BACK GATE HYDROPONICS ARE NOT WORKING TO KEEP THE BACK DOOR OPEN IT GOES AS UP AND THEN COMES RIGHT BACK DOWN
THE HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. THEY FLICKER WHEN STARTING THE CAR, BUT THEN SHUT OFF. STANDARD AND HIGH-BEAMS ARE BOTH INOPERABLE. TRIED REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH, TO NO AVAIL. FOG-LIGHTS WORK, WHICH IS MY ONLY LIGHTING AT NIGHT. CHECKED ONLINE FOR A SOLUTION. APPARENTLY THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN THE TIPM. TRIED A HARD RESET, BUT AGAIN TO NO AVAIL. THERE IS NO FUSE OR RELAY THAT CAN BE REPLACED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THIS ORIGINALLY BEGAN IN JUNE, 2020, WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT THE HEADLIGHTS JUST SHUT OFF. THE HEADLIGHTS FUNCTIONED INTERMITTENTLY FOR A FEW WEEKS, AND THEN FAILED COMPLETELY. THEY STILL FLICKER ONCE WHEN STARTING AND THEN GO OUT.
DEALER REMOVED EMBLEM IN AIRBAG AND THAT WAS THERE REPAIR LEAVING A EMBLEM HOLE IN THE CENTER OF THE STEERING WHEEL, NO RESPONSE IF REPLACING EMBLEM OR AIRBAG COVER

THE CONTACT STATED SHE PULLED OVER AND WAITED A FEW SECONDS BEFORE RESTARTING VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER, A MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED. WHILE DRIVING ON A FLAT STRAIGHT ROAD AROUND 35-45 MPH VEHICLE (ABOUT 80K MILES) LOST ALL POWER AND STEERING. WAS LUCKY TO GET ON THE SHOULDER AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH. ALL OTHER RECALLS AND REPAIRS ARE UP TO DATE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RELEASE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH AND HAD TO USE FORCE THE RELEASE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT ON SOME OCCASION, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE KEY BACK INTO THE IGNITION SWITCH, AND THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL TIMES PUT A GINGER INTO THE IGNITION TO GET THE VEHICLE STARTED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LALONDE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER (2093 SOUTH VAN DYKE ROAD, IMLAY CITY, MI 48444, PHONE NUMBER 810 724-0444) FOR INSPECTION AND THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE A DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (IGNITION SWITCH). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
IT SUDDEN STALL OUT WHILE DRIVING
PARKED VAN ON DRIVEWAY AND OPENED PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR. AS IT OFTEN DOES, IT TRIED TO CLOSE BACK UP ON MY ARM, SO I STEPPED BACK, LET IT CLOSE, THEN OPENED IT AGAIN. CONFIRMED THE POWER DOOR WAS STAYING OPEN, THEN UNLOADED MY BAGS. CLOSED DOOR AND LOCKED VAN WITH KEYFOB (CAN SEE THIS ON SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE). TEN HOURS LATER, THE LOCKED HATCH OPENED ON ITS OWN AND WITHIN TEN MINUTES THE BACK OF THE VAN WAS SMOKING, THEN ENGULFED IN FLAMES. ENTIRE VAN BURNED DOWN, STARTING AT BACK PASSENGER SIDE. ALSO BURNED DOWN TRUCK PARKED NEXT TO IT ON DRIVEWAY. [VAN WAS MFRD IN AUGUST OF 2009]*DT CONSUMER STATED WHEN IN PARK VAN REFUSES TO START, IT HAS TO BE IN NEUTRAL 99% OF THE TIME, AND SEVERAL TIMES IT WOULD NOT WORK HAD TO SHIFT BACK TO PARK FOR IT TO START.*JB
Not sure what the actual problem is - the car has been stalling using occuring when first using the vehicle in the morning, leaving the driveway on a small side street, or at a stop or signal sign. It starts with the light saying the car is driving irregular, then other lights come on and may go back on - then at a light will go on and stop completely. I found that others are having the same problems when you are going under 30 mph. I have replaced the battery, the TIPM, broke switch, reprogramed the power control module, ignition switch. Receiver 08035031, transmtr 08059057,sensor cr 08037155. Also Checked the engine and all codes. The worst problem beside the fact it stalls in the middle of the road is that I had trouble getting it smoged. Lastly on one occasion it started doing funny things and I went on to the freeway, so at 55mph the speedometer went crazy up and down no consistent with my speed and then when I was pulling into the parking lot it stalled completely. Also once it stalled and all the electrical also went out , no emergency blinkers, no window opening, no radio. I have spent more than $3,000 with the dealer and no relief, It is almost happening every time I go out were before it was only occasional. The exact date is unknown but it is more than 2 years.
THE VAN JUST AT ITS OWN CHOICE CUTS OFF, YOU CAN BE GOING 5 MPH OR 70MPH. THERE IS NO WARNING, THEN YOU LOSE STEERING AND BRAKING WITH THE ENGINE OFF. AFTER YOU GET IT STOPPED IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP BUT YOU DON'T KNOW FOR HOW LONG BEFORE IT DOES IT AGAIN. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE IGNITI0N BOX BUT NOT FOR MY VIN NUMBER, CHRYSLER NEEDS TO EXPAND THE YEARS ON THAT RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT BADLY OR KILLED...
THE BACK SIDE REAR WINDOW CAUGHT ON FIRE. THIS WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN A RECALL AT NAPLES DODGE CHRYSLER. I TOOK THE VAN IN AFTER WAITING A YEAR FOR THE PART TO COME IN. NOW IT HAS CAUGHT IN FIRE AND BURNED VAN INSIDE AND OUT, WHILE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. WHICH MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY EVER REALLY DID THE REPLACEMENT IN IT. PLEASE CONTACT ME AT [XXX] OR [XXX]. THE CAR STARTS TO POWER DOWN AND MAKES THE POWER STEERING STOP WORKING. THE TRACTION CONTROL SYMBOL SHOWS UP AFTER IT STARTS TO POWER DOWN. IT HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES FROM HOME WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. ONE OF THE TIMES WAS WHILE I WAS TURNING LEFT WITH ONCOMING CARS. THE CAR HAS TO BE RESTARTED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE A RECALL AS SO MANY OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING.
ON WEDNESDAY 2/19/20, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING AND BRAKES WERE OPERATING WITHOUT POWER ASSIST AND THE CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. THIS HAPPENED AT SLOW SPEED WHILE TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT SO THE CAR WAS ABLE TO BE STOPPED. THE CAR WAS PUT INTO PARK AND RESTARTED. IT OPERATED FINE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INCIDENT.
THE VAN HAS REPEATEDLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING.THIS SEEMS TO EXACTLY MATCH THE EXISTING RECALL 11V139000, BUT MY VIN IS NOT COVERED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHILE IN MOTION WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR.
3 TIMES NOW OUR VAN WILL ALL THE SUDDEN NOT HAVE ANY THROTTLE THEN THE POWER STEERING WILL NOT WORK. I HAVE TO STOP WHERE I AM AND TURN OFF THE VAN THEN TURN IT BACK ON. THERE R NO WARNING LIGHTS OR INDICATORS. IT WILL JUST NOT EXCELL AND HAVE NO POWER STEARING. ALL 3 TIMES I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS TO SLOW DOWN AND WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE AGAIN IT WOULDN'T TO ANYTHING. ALL 3 TIMES I WAS IN THE CITY. ONCE IN STURGEON BAY,WI. THE OTHERS IN MENASHA,WI. SB,WI I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF TURNING AND COULDN'T TURN. THE OTHER ONE I WAS APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT IN A SNOW STORM AND SLOWING DOWN. THE 3RD TIME I WAS APPROACHING A ROUND ABOUT.THERE WAS ABOUT 2 MTHS BETWEEN THE SB,WI INCIDENT AND THE 2 IN MENASHA.
WHILE DRIVING, ENGINE TURNS OFF RANDOMLY AND RENDERS THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES TO LOSE THEIR FUNCTION AS WELL. THIS HAS MADE DRIVING THE VEHICLE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND WITHOUT WARNING AND HAS CAUSED SOME CLOSE CALLS ON THE ROAD, WHICH IS WHAT PROMPTED ME TO DISCONTINUE DRIVING THE VAN AND TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE, HOWEVER, SAFETY RECALL R03 DESCRIBES EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY VAN AND INCLUDES VEHICLES IN MODEL YEAR 2010.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start up after multiple attempts. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had the vehicle towed to several dealers and independent mechanics where they informed him that the WIN (Wireless Ignition Node) module was defective and needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the WIN module had previously been replaced under an unknown recall; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 45 MILES PER HOUR AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. NO CONTROL OVER POWER STEERING. VEHICLE STARTED BACK UP AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. DROVE NORMAL THE REST OF THE WAY HOME ABOUT 10 MILES.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON SUBURBAN STREET AT SPEED OF 40-45MPH IN A STRAIGHT FORWARD DIRECTION. TIRE/TRACTION SYMBOL FLASHED ON, THEN VEHICLE MOMENTARILY LOST POWER. ALL LIGHTS FLASHED OFF, THEN CAME BACK ON. ACCELERATION CUT OUT, THEN RESUMED (FOOT WAS STILL ON PEDAL). STEERING TEMPORARILY LOCKED UP, THEN THE STEERING WHEEL RELEASED SO I COULD STEER AGAIN.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
ENGINE TURNS OFF AND THERE IS NO POWER STEERING AND ONLY THE ABS ONLY WORK. I WAS IN MOTION AND THE ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED BUT NO CODE WAS FOUND. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND WAS NOT TAKEN TO A CHRYSLER DEALER. THE CONTACT CALLED HERB CHAMBERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT OF MILLBURY DEALER, (2 LATTI FARM RD RTE, 20, MILLBURY, MA 01527, (508) 757-7444) AND WAS INFORMED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.
2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY WILL CLICK ONCE, BUT WILL NOT TURN OVER. THIS ISSUE TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR A WHILE, AND THE ENGINE IS HOT, OR DURING HOTTER MONTHS. THIS CAUSES CAR TO NOT TURN ON WHEN HOT, NOT OVER HEATED, JUST HOT. THIS HAS BEEN NOTED ON MANY OTHER WEBSITES FOR THIS SAME YEAR AND PEOPLE BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION SENSOR NOT KNOWING IF THE CAR IS IN PARK OR DRIVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHER YEARS CAUSING VEHICLE TO SLIP INTO OTHER GEARS. THIS COULD BE CONSIDERED DANGEROUS. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING ON VEHICLE SINCE THREE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE FROM DEALER WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COMING ON OR ANY RUNNING ISSUES.
Steering Wheel Emblem and retainer. This emblem and retainer can become a flying object in the vehicle if the steering wheel air bag is deployed in a accident and cause injury to individuals within the vehicle. Dealership stated they don’t have the parts to fix this recall. No this recall is still open per Chrysler and has been open for awhile. I called a dealership and was advised they would just put tape over the emblem. Tape will not hold the emblem and retainer in place once the air bag deploys. “Tape” is not a good repair tactic.
THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. IT QUIT ON THE ROAD 4 TIMES. ALWAYS IN THE 20-30 MPH RANGE. THE STABILIZER LIGHT GOES ON, THEN POWER STEERING FAILS, BREAKS DO NOT RESPOND. HAVE TO PULL OUT KEY AND RESTART. IT HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE OVER THE LAST 6 MONTHS. MECHANICS HAVE NO IDEA AND SAY DIAGNOSTIC CHECK OUT FINE. WHAT DO YOU DO! I TRY 4 KIDS AROUND IN THIS THING!
CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY STALLS AND SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT ANY POINT THAT CAN DO IT AND ALL THE POWER STEERING AND HEADLIGHTS AND ENGINE SHUT OFF IT DOES IT IN TOWN AND ON HIGHWAYS
THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING SIX DIFFERENT TIMES SINCE DECEMBER 11, 2019 WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 25 TO 40 MPH. ALL OF THE POWER, ENGINE, ETC. JUST QUIT AND I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. PUT IT IN PARK, TURNED OFF IGNITION. RESTARTED VEHICLE WITH NO PROBLEM. THE LAST TWO DAYS, THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED TWICE. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT HAS ALSO COME ON. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO FIRESTONE WHO RAN A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT AND COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION AND APPEARS THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE HAVE ATTACHED THE INVOICE FROM FIRESTONE WHERE THEY RAN THE DIAGNOSTIC. *TR THE CONSUMER HAS STATED THAT TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED IN JULY 2017.THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THAT SINCE DECEMBER 2019, THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED 6 MORE TIMES.*AS

WHILE DRIVING 40MPH ON A MAIN CITY STREET THE CAR SHUTOFF. RADIO WAS STILL ON, LIGHTS WERE STILL ON, BUT THE ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING. NO POWER STEERING, NO BRAKES. AS A RESULT OF SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING 40MPH IT CAUSED AN ACCIDENT REAR ENDING A PICKUP TRUCK. TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE ER.*DT*JB *DT *DT*JB
DANGER - BRAKES FREEZE WHILE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC - NEED TO SHUT OFF & RESTART TOWN & COUNTRY TO GET GOING AGAIN. REPAIR SHOP OWNER NEVER HEARD OF IT.
SHUTS DOWN RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING AND LOSES POWER STEERING, DIFFICULT TO STOP. OCCURS IN ANY CONDITION OR SPEED. SOMETIMES TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT COMES ON RIGHT BEFOREHAND. INABILITY TO CONTROL VEHICLE AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN.
WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF , STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF AND BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK, AS IF IT LOST ALL POWER. THERE WOULD BE ABS AND 'SLIPPERY' SYMBOL ON THE DASH BOARD. IT WOULD HAPPEN DURING TURNING TOO AND SINCE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STIFF, I WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN IT BACK STRAIGHT AND HAD TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THIS VEHICLE STALLING HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND KEPT GETTING MORE FREQUENT. I TOOK IT TO DEALER FEW TIMES. THEY FOUND CODE C121C STORED IN ABS MODULE ONCE, BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. I READ UP ONLINE THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND ARE REPLACING THE EGR VALVE. I ASKED DEALER TO REPLACE THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT THINK THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. EVER SINCE THEY REPLACE THE EGR VALVE, IT HAS BEEN RUNNING OKAY. ITS SURPRISING THAT CHRYSLER DEALER DID NOT KNOW OF THIS KNOW ISSUE. BUT IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SAFE SINCE THE VEHICLE STALLS ANYTIME WITHOUT NOTICE AND YOU CANNOT EVEN CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL OR BRAKES.

THERE WAS NO LIGHTING, ACCELERATING, BRAKING, OR STEERING CONTROL. VEHICLE SLOWED TO STOP. REMOVED KEY FROM IGNITION...RE-INSERTED KEY AND RE-STARTED IGNITION. VEHICLE THEN DROVE NORMALLY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED IN 2016. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO WAS NOT ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT DUE TO THE FAILURE THE VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED A FEW TIMES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
