I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE JUNE 11, 2014 CONCERNING THE REAR QUARTER WINDOW SWITCH. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN JULY AND WAS TOLD THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALERSHIP DISCONNECTED THE REAR QUARTER WINDOW SWITCH. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE REPLACEMENT PART CAME IT. I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE THEN. EACH TIME I AM TOLD THE REPLACEMENT PART HAS NOT COME IN. I RECEIVED A 2ND RECALL NOTICE JANUARY 9, 2015. THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW. I HAVE BEEN DENIED FULL USE OF THE AUTOMOBILE BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER CANNOT PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT PART. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY DISCONNECTED THE VENT WINDOW SWITCH AS A TEMPORARY REMEDY BECAUSE THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. AFTER CONTACTING BOTH THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE PROVIDED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY SUDDENLY THE CAR SHIFTED DOWN ON ITS OWN WITH A BIG 'THUD" AND WOULD NOT COME OUT OF THE GEAR AND STAYED IN THE 2ND GEAR TILL WE GOT TO A CHRYSLER DEALER AND HAD TO LEAVE THE CAR FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS WHILE THEY CHECKED THINGS OVER AND FINALLY TOLD US THAT THE MODULE WHICH CONTROLS THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD AND WAS CHANGED. WELL IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND THEN BACK TO DEALER AND FINALLY THEY TOLD US THE MODULE ACTUALLY WAS OK, THERE WAS A WIRE WHICH WAS NOT SOLDERED CORRECTLY AND THEY SOLDERED IT.

WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. MY KNEE TOUCHED THE KEY RING. VEHICLES ENGINE SHUT OFF. BRAKES LOST POWER. HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME STEERING AND GETTING VEHICLE STOPPED ON HIGHWAY. HAD TO GET IT IN PARK TO RESTART CAR. *TR
FROM AN HALF HOUR OF PICKING UP MY CAR AND GETTING IT HOME I HAVE HAD A SEVERE SAFETY PROBLEM TO WHERE THE SLIDING DOOR EITHER DOESN'T CLOSE ALL THE WAY OR IF IT DOES IT MAKES A CLICKING NOISE AS IF TRY TO LATCH CLOSE. CALLED DEALER RIGHT OF WAY BROUGHT IT BACK NEXT DAY SAID THE COMPUTER FOR DOOR NEEDED TO BE UPDATED(REALLY BRAND NEW CAR) WORKED WHILE I WAS THERE GOT HOME LATER THAT DAY HAPPENED AGAIN DEALER LOOKED HAVE TO CHANGE MODULE WAITED FOR PART TO COME GOT IT BACK STILL HAPPENING NOW DEALER SAID LATCH NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED SO THEY DID GOT IT BACK STILL HAPPENING. GOT A CHRYSLER CASE MANAGER THEY ARE DOING NOTHING ALL I ASKED WAS TO SWITCH CAR OUT SO NONE OF MY KIDS FALL OUT AND GET HURT OR POSSIBLY DIE NO ONE WANTS TO HELP STUCK WITH A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET CHRYSLER OR RECOMMEND ONE. HOPEFULLY NO ONE FALLS OUT OR THEY WILL BE IN A LOT OF TROUBLE. *TR

WHILE GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED TO FULL AND EXHAUST SMELL OR A GAS SMELL WAS WITNESSED IN THE BACK SEAT. AFTER SEVERAL DELIBERATE TIMES OF PRESSING THE GAS TO FULL EVERY TIME THE SAME SMELL WAS WITNESSED IN THE BACK SEATS OF THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE IS SIX MONTHS OLD AND IS GOING TO BE GOING TO THE DEALER ASAP. *TR

I RENTED A TOWN AND COUNTRY FROM ENTERPRISE. DROVE 2,000 MILES FROM PA TO FL. ON THE WAY BACK WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE IGNITION GOT DISCONNECTED BRIEFLY AND CAME BACK AFTER 1-2 SECONDS. AT THAT TIME I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW DANGEROUS IT COULD BE (WE HAD NO ACCIDENT NOR INJURY AT ALL) BUT NOW I SEE THAT THIS COULD BE LINKED TO THE GM IGNITION RECALL (DOES THIS VEHICLE HAVE THE SAME IGNITION SUPPLIER AS GM?). PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE CASE AS THIS MAY INDICATE THAT THE IGNITION RECALL SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE SOME CHRYSLER VEHICLES AS WELL. *TR

THE HEAD REST DID NOT LOWER TO THE POSITION TO PROTECT THE DRIVER'S HEAD IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT ADJUST THE HEAD REST. Seat release for the middle right seat does not work when the seat release lever is pushed up. Failed more than 3 years ago. Prior owner did not disclose the problem.

The active headrest on the driver's seat malfunctioned and deployed while the car was parked in my driveway. I have seen reports where there has happened while driving and has caused concussions. The local Chrysler dealer is in the processes of fixing the failure.
