The contact stated that while his wife was driving at slow speeds into a home garage, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own, colliding with the garage door. After which, the vehicle reversed and continued to accelerate across the street, coming to a complete stop after colliding with another garage door. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact reported pain in his neck and back and was treated by paramedics; however, he refused transport to an area hospital. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.
