TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THEIR SON WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH IN THE RAIN, WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE HEATER ON AND DEFROST THE WINDOWS, THE SYSTEM FAILED. THE CONTACT CONTACTED AAA WHO RECOMMENDED A CERTIFIED MECHANIC. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER'S CHORD WAS BLOCKED WITH SAND THAT LEAKED FROM THE ENGINE BLOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED A SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE HEAT ONLY WORKS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THE VENTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE STILL BLOW AIR BUT IT IS ICE COLD WHETHER THE CAR IS PARKED OR IN MOTION THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT BLOW OUT WARM AIR THIS IS AN ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
STARTED WITH NO HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, AND NOW I HAVE JUST WARM AIR ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THIS ISSUE IS CAUSING A VISIBILITY AND SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WILL NOT DEFROST. I HAVE SEEN THIS SAME ISSUE ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
I HAVE A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE ISSUE IS THAT THE HEAT DOES NOT OPERATE AS EXPECTED. THRU HOURS OF RESEARCH THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE A FAULTY HEATER CORE. THE ISSUE IS VERY COMMON ACROSS MANY DODGE AND CHRYSLER VEHICLES. THE HEATER CORES ARE DEFECTIVE AND EVEN AFTER FLUSHING, REPLACEMENT AND REPAIRS THE HEATER CORE WILL NOT PRODUCE HEAT AS NECESSARY. FOR MOST PEOPLE THIS PROBLEM IS AN INCONVENIENCE BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THIS ISSUE CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO DRIVING. TRULY HAVING OPTIMAL HEAT DURING WINTER MONTHS IS CRUCIAL TO KEEPING THE WINDSHIELD CLEAN. HAVING THE NECESSARY HEAT IS THE ONLY WAY IN COLD WEATHER TO KEEP THE WINDSHIELD FROM FOGGING AND FROM BEING ICED OVER IN WINTER STORMS. I HAVE EXPERIENCE THIS AND HAD TO PULL OVER AND CLEAN MY WINDSHIELD OTHERWISE THE DRIVING WAS DANGEROUS. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHILE DRIVING AND EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY BECAUSE NO HEAT COMES OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE INTERIOR. THIS LACK OF HEAT CAUSED ICE AND FOG TO BE AN ISSUE ON MY CAR IN NUMEROUS SITUATIONS OVER THE COURSE OF THE 2018-2019 WINTER IN MINNESOTA. I DROVE ON HWY 169 FOR JUST 5-20 MILES AND WAS FORCED TO PULL OVER DUE TO LACK OF HEAT AND BUILD UP OF FOG AND ICE. I AM VERY SURE FROM READING OTHER PEOPLES EXPERIENCES THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME FEELINGS. AS MENTIONED, THIS PROBLEM IS CHRONIC AND A SIMPLE PART REPLACEMENT WONT SOLVE THE RECURRING PROBLEM. IF THERE IS ANY WAY A REPLACEMENT HEATER CORE PLUS A NEW TYPE OF COOLANT CAN BE BROUGHT FORWARD AS A RECALL FIX, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THAT THE CONSISTENT AND CHRONIC FAILURE OF THE HEATER CORE CAN BE FIXED AND LOTS OF PEOPLE NEED THIS. PLEASE HELP, THANK YOU.
TAKATA RECALL, THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF IT MAINLY STAYS ON, SOMETIMES THE SEAT BELT IF PUT ON AT A RIGHT TIME THE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL STAY OFF BUT ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES.
TWICE NOW I'VE HAD TO HAVE MY HEATER CORE REPLACED AS THE PASSENGER BLOWS COLD AIR WHEN IT SHOULD BE HEAT JUST LIKE THE DRIVERS SIDE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BY DODGE ABD THEY WON'T FIX THE PROBLEM OR EVEN ASSIST WITH IT.
THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR STOPPED BLOWING HOT AIR.
2013 DODGE AVENGER HEATER/DEFROST NOT PROPERLY WORKING. IT HAS BEGUN TO GO OUT ONE VENT AT A TIME LEAVING ONLY ONE VENT BLOWING WARM AIR ALL OTHERS BLOW COLD. THIS IS VERY HAZARDOUS WHEN IT DOES NOT DEFROST PROPERLY AND WHEN NEEDING DEFROST WHILE DRIVING IT ONLY MAKES THE WINDSHIELD VISIBLE THROUGH THE DRIVER SIDE WITH THE HEAT. WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS ISSUE BY CHANGING BLEND DOOR ACTUATORS AND FLUSHING THE HEATER CORE WHICH CAME OUT CLEAR.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF. A FEW TIMES I WOULD UNDO MY SEATBELT AND THEN SECURE IT AGAIN AND IT WOULD GO OFF. BUT IT COMES BACK ON AGAIN. BRAKES: I HAVE HAD ALL 4 BRAKES REPLACED AND MY BRAKES STILL SQUEAK AND THEY GRIND. IVE HAD THIS DONE TWICE AND IT DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE. IT MAKES A RATTLING SOUND WHEN GOING UPHILL. AND SQUEEKS AND GRINDS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW, THE CAR JUST STOPS. I AM PRESSING ON THE GAS BUT IT STOPS AS IF I'M NOT ACCELERATING. I WAS DRIVING AT APPROX 45 MPH WHEN IT HAPPENED. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. IT HAPPENED A HANDFUL OF TIMES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG BECAUSE IT WASN'T DOING IT RIGHT AT THAT TIME. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAD THE SAME KIND OF CAR AND ACTUALLY GOT A RID OF IT THROUGH THE LEMON LAW BECAUSE IT DID THE SAME THING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE CAR JUST STOPS AND THE WAY I GO TO WORK THERE IS RARELY SOMEWHERE TO PULL OVER LEAVING ME SITTING IN MOVING TRAFFIC BUT I'M NOT MOVING. THERE IS NO CORRELATION REGARDING THE SPEED OR THE TYPE OF ROAD I AM TRAVELING. IT JUST HAPPENED TO BE THIS TIME THAT IT WAS APPROX THE SAME SPEED AND SAME ROAD. WE KEEP ALL OF OUR MAINTENANCE UP ON OUR VEHICLES. I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP US AS FOR I AM NOT IN THE POSITION TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE RIGHT NOW NOT TO MENTION THE MOST IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE IS THAT I DRIVE MY 21 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER AROUND IN THIS CAR AT TIMES. ** PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION GIVEN BELOW IS THE APPROX CURRENT MILEAGE AND THE DATE THAT THIS MOST RECENTLY OCCURRED. AS I MENTIONED BEFORE IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, WHEN IT WAS MUCH NEWER, LESS MILES, DIFFERENT SPEED, ETC.
I HAVE A 2013 DODGE AVENGER, GIVEN TO ME AS A GIFT MAY 2013. THE CAR WAS ONLY ABOUT 4 YEARS OLD(10/13/2017) AND I STARTED HEARING A STRANGE CLICKING SOUND, COMING FROM UNDER THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. SOMETIMES THE HEAT/ AC WOULDN'T KICK ON FOR A FEW MINUTES. IT ENDED UP BEING THE MODE DOOR ACTUATOR,IT COST ME OVER $ 400 ,I ALSO NEEDED FRONT PADS AND ROTORS. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 18,000 MILES ON IT. I ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE HOOD OF THE CAR REPLACED (SEPT. 5,2017) BECAUSE THE PAINT STARTED PEELING, THIS AT LEAST WAS COVERED BY DODGE , BECAUSE THEY SAID MINE WAS NOT THE ONLY VEHICLE TO HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE, NOT BECAUSE OF THE WARRANTY. NOW I JUST HAD ALL 4 TIRES, AND BRAKES DONE , BETWEEN 7/2018 AND 11/2018. THE CAR ONLY HAD ABOUT 22,000 MILES. HERE WE ARE IN DECEMBER OF 2018, I JUST HAD TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE CONTROL ,$360.00, AND NOW I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER, 28 ,2018, TO GET THE AXLE SEAL, RIGHT SIDE, AND THE TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER PIPES, INLET AND RETURN REPLACED , COST $164.20, AND $364.29 RESPECTIVELY. THE CAR ONLY HAS 24,241 MILES ON IT, I HAVE ALL THE OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION RECORDS, ALL IS UP TO DATE AND WERE ALWAYS DONE ROUTINELY. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THIS VEHICLE AND AM FRUSTRATED WITH THESE ISSUES. I HAVE ALSO READ UP ON OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM AVENGER OWNERS. DODGE NEEDS TO RESPOND TO THESE PROBLEMS. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS GIFT AND THE FACT THAT I ALL SEEM TO BE DOING IS SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY DEALING WITH ONE THING AFTER THE NEXT.
ENGINE STALLS WHILE DRIVING ON STOPS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT NO SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS WAS PROVIDED. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO A DEALER. CRYSTAL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP OF BROOKSVILLE (14358 CORTEZ BLVD, BROOKSVILLE, FL 34613, (352) 597-1265) WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 13V552000 (ENGINE) AND 13V043000 AND (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,177.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE DRIVER'S DOOR WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED, BUT THE SIDE AND CURTAIN AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE DRIVER. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BODY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. *DT*JB
PASSENGER SIDE DEFROST/VENT DEFECTS. THE DEFROST AND HEAT/AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ARE NOT WORKING DUE TO A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. I CANNOT SEE WHEN THE HEAT OUTSIDE THE CAR IS TOO HIGH OR LOW AND THE WINDOW DOESN'T PROPERLY DEFROST DUE TO COLD AIR ONLY COMING OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. ONLY COLD AIR BLOWS FROM THE VENTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN BOTH HEAT/AIR AND REGARDLESS OF SETTINGS. THIS OCCURS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION, ON THE HIGHWAY AND WHILE TURNING.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHT ON WHEN I GOT INTO CAR THIS MORNING. HAD NOT BEEN DRIVING VEHICLE. SHUT CAR OFF THEN TURNED IT BACK ON BECAUSE I WAS UNSURE WHAT THE LIGHT WAS FOR. LOOKED IT UP ON LINE TO FIND THAT IT IS THE THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM.
THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT NOTICE OR ACCIDENT STRIKING MY WIFE IN THE HEAD. THERE WAS NO COLLISION OR IMPACT IN ANY WAY. I HAD JUST PULLED OUT INTO THE ROAD AND WHILE ACCELERATING I HEARD A NOISE SOUNDING LIKE A SPRING UNDER PRESSURE UNCOILING. WE WERE GOING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. MY WIFE SCREAMED AS THE HEADREST STRUCK THE BACK OF HER HEAD. IT HIT WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO GIVE HER A HEADACHE FOR A COUPLE HOURS.
THERE IS NO ELECTRICAL POWER GOING TO THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD LIGHT ON MY VEHICLE. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SANSONE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (LOCATED AT 90-100 US-1, AVENEL, NJ 07001, (888) 450-9685) WHERE IT WAS CURRENTLY BEING DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE DRIVER'S SIDE ANTI-WHIPLASH AIR BAG DEVICE (LOCATED IN THE HEAD REST) SUDDENLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT A CRASH OR IMPACT. ENGINE COOLING AND ENGINE MALFUNCTION. CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND HAD TO GET IT TOWED THIS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY AROUND NOV. 8 2018 AND THE CAR HAS NOT WORKED SINCE. WHEEL DOES NOT STAY IN ALIGNMENT WHEN I GET IT ALIGNED
I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY 2013 HEATING SYSTEM. MY DRIVER SIDE VENTS ARE BLOWING HOT AIR , THOUGH MY PASSENGER SIDE IS BLOWING COLD AND I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THIS! THERES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN YOU USE HEAT OR AC UNIT. CLICKING SINCE WE GOT CAR 7/2016. SOMETIMES WHENS IGNITION IS OFF IT STILL DOES IT. SOMETIMES MY FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW WON'T WORK, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTS WORKING AGAIN. HAPPENED TWICE IN NOVEMBER 2018. WAS PARKED AND STARTED DRIVING. WHILE LATER WINDOW WENT UP. ALSO I'VE NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICES. GOT CAR JULY 2016 IN KENTUCKY. NOW LIVE AT 8974 LOWMILLER RD MINERVA, OHIO 44657. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ALL RECALLS THERE IS? NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE THUS NO DEFROST WHEN FOGGING
THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST SPLIT INTO 2 PIECES FOR NO REASON. MANUFACTURES SPECS STATES THAT IN A REAR COLLISION THE HEADREST DEPLOYS TO ENSURE THE DRIVER DOESN'T GET WHIP LASH. THIS VEHICLE HAS NO ACCIDENTS AT ALL AND WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN AT THE TIME THE HEADREST SEPARATED. I DID RESEARCH AND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE HEADREST IN THIS DODGE VEHICLE. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT MAY SEEM ITS NOT COVERED EVEN WITH THE 7 YR/100,000 MILE WARRANTY.
WHEN FIRST STARTING CAR IT HEAT IS ON, THERE IS CLICKING FROM GLOVE BOX. NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR ONLY ON DRIVERS SIDE
COLD AIR BLOWING OUT OF PASSENGERS SIDE WHILE DRIVERS SIDE BLOWS HOT, AND MAKES ANNOYING CLICKING SOUND. THE ACTUATORS IN THE DASH KEEP GOING OUT!!! THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE NO HEAT BECAUSE CHRYSLER USED CHEAP PLASTIC IN THE ACTUATORS THAT ARE CAUSING THEM TO WEAR OUT EVERY YEAR. AND THE DASH MAKES THE CLICKING SOUND EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS OFF! THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WHEN YOU BUY A CAR TO TRANSPORT YOUR CHILDREN AND THERE ARE RECALLS THAT I AM NEVER GETTING NOTIFIED ABOUT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE HEAT WAS ACTIVATED, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR VENT BLEW OUT COLD AIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEFROSTER WAS NOT AFFECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000.
MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS FREEZING COLD AIR AND THE DRIVERS SIDE BLOWS HOT
THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE STOPPED WORKING WINTER 2017. IT STARTED BLOWING OUT COOL AIR. THIS HAS CAUSED MY WINDSHIELD AND WINDOWS TO NOT DEFROST PROPERLY CAUSING VISIBILITY PROBLEMS. FALL 2018, MY DRIVERS SIDE IS NOW BLOWING OUT COOL AIR. AGAIN, CAUSING AN EXTREMELY SERIOUS VISIBILITY ISSUE. THIS IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFAULT, NOT CONSUMER.
THE PASSENGER HEADREST ACTIVATED WHILE SITTING IN A PARKING LOT OVERNIGHT. THERE WAS NO COLLISION BUT IT DEPLOYED AS IF THERE HAD BEEN A REAR COLLISION. A SMALL PLASTIC PIECE APPEARS TO HAVE CRACKED OVER TIME AND ALLOWED THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. THIS COULD EASILY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF IT HAPPENED ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN OR INJURY TO SOMEONE SITTING IN THE SEAT AT THE TIME.
MY VEHICLE STALLED, STARTED SHAKING, SHUT DOWN AND LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING. THE FOLLOWING THREE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON; 1) MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL); 2) ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC); AND 3) ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC). I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE CAR SEEMS TO STALL WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND TAKE OFF IS SLOW. IT TAKES ME SEVERAL BLOCKS TO JUST REACH 30 MPH. THE CAR ALSO FEELS AS IF IT IS LUNGING BUT RESUMES A SLOW PACE. TAKE OFF IS EXTREMELY SLOW WHEN I STOP FOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS. THE ENGINE SEEMS TO LOSE PRESSURE. THE CAR WILL REV AND ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN EVEN WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING PRESSED. MY CAR STARTED SPUTTERING IN TRAFFIC, THE CAR REVVED UP LIKE I WAS PRESSING ON THE GAS. THEN YESTERDAY I EXPERIENCED IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER IN THE VEHICLE & THE INABILITY TO INCREASE SPEED, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. MY VEHICLE SLOWED TO APPROXIMATELY 10 - 20 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS FAULTY PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY!!!!! MY LIFE MATTERS AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE'S LIFE AND THOSE OF THEIR FAMILY!!!! WHAT IS REALLY UPSETTING TO ME IS THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED REPEATEDLY BY OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD THIS SITUATION!!! MY LIFE MATTERS AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE'S LIFE AND THOSE OF THEIR FAMILY!!!!
WINDOW DEFROST AND PASSENGER HEAT /AIR. WHILE EITHER IN MOTION OR WHILE DRIVING, NO HEATED AIR EXITS THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER, NOR THE PASSENGER WINDOW DEFROST, LOWER AND CENTER CONSOLE VENTS. HEATED AIR ONLY EXITS THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD AND DRIVER'S SIDE DASH VENTS. PROBLEM PERSISTS THROUGH ALL CABIN AIR MODES, AND CIRCULATIONS. THIS SAFETY ISSUE EFFECTS VISIBILITY AND PASSENGER SAFETY BY FAILING TO DEFROST/DEFOG WINDOWS AND KEEPING CABIN TEMPERATURES NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING DURING COLD WEATHER (BLOWING COLD AIR INTO THE CABIN).
2013 DODGE AVENGER HEATER ISSUE. DOES NOT HEAT ON RIGHT SIDE. THE CENTER DASH VENT ON THE RIGHT BLOWS WARM BUT NOTICEABLY COLDER THE. THE LEFT ONE RIGHT NEXT TO IT THAT VENT IN THE DASH NEXT TO THE DOOR AND THE FLOOR VENT FOR THE REAR ARE NOT E EN WARM AL ALL. CAUSES RIGHT SIDE OF WINDSHIELD, RIGHT SIDE WINDOWS AND REAR WINDOW TO FOG UP WHILE DRIVING IN COLD WEATHER. I HAVE HAD THE RADIATOR AND HEATER CORE FLUSHED SEVERAL TIMES AND EVEN REPLACED, ONLY A TEMP SOLUTION, ABOUT 1 WEEK. I HAVE REPLACES THE HEATER CONTROL PANEL AND DOOR ACTUATORS, NO HELP. IN DOING SOME RESEARCH, INTERNET AND TALKING TO REPAIR SHOPS AND DEALER SERVICE EMPLOYEES. THIS IS A CHRONIC DESIGN PROBLEM THAT THERE IS NO SOLID SOLUTION FOR.
FOR THE PAST YEAR, MY CAR RANDOMLY STALLS WHILE DRIVING. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON FOR WHEN IT STALLS, SO I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. NO LIGHTS EVER APPEAR ON THE DASH. AFTER SITTING FOR A FEW MINUTES, MY CAR USUALLY STARTS BACK UP AGAIN. IN ADDITION TO THE ENGINE STALLING, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STUTTER AND THE CAR HORN RANDOMLY SOUNDS FROM ANYWHERE BETWEEN A SECOND TO A FULL MINUTE. I'M NOT SURE IF THE TWO ISSUES ARE RELATED AT ALL, BUT I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES AND GOTTEN VARIOUS PARTS REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE IS. AFTER ONLINE RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND THAT THERE ARE TWO RECALLS FOR 2013 DODGE AVENGERS FOR AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE STALLING, BUT FOR SOME REASON MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER IS NOT INCLUDED--EVEN THOUGH IT HAS THE SAME ISSUE AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SAY HOW DANGEROUS IT IS FOR ONE'S ENGINE TO STALL OUT ON A HIGHWAY. MY HUSBAND ALMOST GOT HIT BY AN 18-WHEELER AS THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE HE WAS DRIVING IN FRONT OF IT. THE STEERING-WHEEL LOCKED, BUT LUCKILY HE WAS ABLE TO SOMEHOW STEER OFF THE ROAD ONTO THE SHOULDER. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE MY CAR IN THIS CONDITION.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000. *LN *TP *JB *DT
FAULTY ENGINE CAUSING TOTAL ENGINE FAILURE. ENGINE WAS PROPERLY SERVICED AND STILL BLEW WITH ONLY 57K MILES ON IT. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY WHEN ENGINE GAVE OUT. THUS RESULTING IN NO POWER TO GO FORWARD AND BREAKING DOWN ON HIGHWAY.
HORN KEEPS GOING OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING, WHILE PARKED OR TURNING CAR OFF. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE HAD LOSS OF POWER AND STALLED THE SAME DAY THAT HORN WAS GOING OFF. WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET AT 30 MPH WHEN VEHICLE LOST POWER AND THE STALLED.
FRONT PASSENGER HEADREST EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING, JUST LUCKY NO ONE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 3 WEEKS STATING THAT THE HEADREST IS ON BACK ORDER AND SINCE IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY THEN I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF MY POCKET I HAVE CALLED DODGE AND PUT IN AN INVESTIGATION 2 WEEKS AGO AND HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURE DEFECT AND IF 1 MALFUNCTIONS THEN WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THE DRIVER SIDE WON'T DO THE SAME?

THE PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED/ SNAPPED FORWARD ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING. THERE WAS NO PASSENGER, THEREFORE NO INJURY. I HAD THIS VEHICLE AT DODGE LIBERTY IN RAPID CITY, SD LAST WEEK AND REQUESTED THIS BE CHECKED, THE TECHNICIAN THAT CHECKED IT SAID HE "HAD NO IDEA, STATED IT LOOKS LIKE THE PLASTIC BROKE" WHEN I GOT HOME I CALLED THE DEALER BACK AND SPOKE TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT, HE SAID, "I HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE AND THAT THE PART WOULD COST $454. IS THERE A RECALL OF ANY KIND BY CHRYSLER?
I WAS PARKED, WENT IN PHARMACY WITH SPOUSE LISTENING TO MUSIC UPON REENTERING VEHICLE I THOUGHT CAR WAS RUNNING SO I SHIFTED IN GEAR WITHOUT THE CAR BEING TURN ON WITH KEY IN OFF POSITION.
